Birds gather in a forest.
Odo the owl says,
HERE I COME!
(Bush rustles)
Odo, a small brown owl with white markings, runs past a blue bird, chickens, a peacock, and yellow birds.
Odo sings, ODO
Birds sing,
ODO, ODO, ODO
(Cluck)
Odo jumps into a muddy puddle with two toucans.
(Splash)
Odo leaps on a fallen tree trunk with Doodle, a small blue bird. Flamingos pop their heads out of the trunk.
Birds sing,
ODO, ODO, ODO
Odo jumps on a tree stump. The birds surround him.
The title reads, “Odo”.
Odo winks.
The sun shines brightly on a forest. Odo flies a red kite.
Text reads, “The Kite”.
Doodle approaches Odo.
She says,
HI, ODO!
OH, IT'S SO WINDY!
Odo replies,
YES, PERFECT WEATHER FOR
KITE FLYING.
WHOA!
Odo holds the kite string tightly as he floats up into the air. Doodle grabs his legs and pulls him back down to the ground.
Doodle says, GOTCHA!
Odo replies,
THANKS, DOODLE, I'M GREAT AT
FLYING MY KITE.
I CAN MAKE IT SOAR, SWOOP, AND
DO LOOPS.
JUST WAIT 'TIL EVERYONE SEES.
Odo and Doodle walk to the other birds near a pond. The camp leader, a bald eagle, takes notes as she talks with two flamingos. Toucans, geese, chickens, a peacock, and other birds watch the camp leader.
Odo says,
HEY, EVERYBODY, LOOK WHAT I'VE
GOT!
The camp leader replies,
THAT'S A VERY FINE KITE,
ODO, BUT I'M AFRAID TODAY IS
CRAFT DAY, NOT PLAY DAY.
FOLLOW ME, CAMPERS, LET'S GET
CRAFTY.
(Sighing)
The other birds walk away from Odo and Doodle. The kite falls to the ground.
Later, the birds stand around a wooden table in the forest.
The camp leader says,
TODAY, WE SHALL ALL BE MAKING
SOME USEFUL CRAFTS FOR CAMP WITH
A LITTLE BIT OF GLUE, AND LOTS
AND LOTS OF FEATHERS!
(Campers gasping)
The camp leader holds a pile of feathers in her wings. A gust of wind blows them away.
The camp leader adds,
WHOOPS, BE CAREFUL YOU DON'T
LOSE ANY FEATHERS IN THIS WIND!
Three yellow birds sing,
IT'S A VERY WINDY DAY
CAMP LEADER'S FEATHER BLEW
AWAY
Odo says,
COME ON, DOODLE, WE'LL MAKE
THE BEST FEATHER CRAFTS IN CAMP.
Doodle asks, DO YOU THINK WE CAN?
Odo answers,
I KNOW WE CAN, AND ONCE
WE'RE FINISHED, WE CAN FLY MY
KITE.
Odo pulls a pile of feathers out of a brown sack on the table.
(Groaning)
Reggie, the red fox, hides behind a bush.
He says,
OH, WHY CAN'T I SLEEP DURING
THE DAY?
ALL THE OTHER FOXES CAN.
Reggie curls up and lies on the grass.
(Sighing)
Reggie lays on his back.
He counts,
ONE, TWO, UM, FOUR.
NO GOOD.
EVEN COUNTING SHEEP DOESN'T
WORK.
(Yawning)
Odo’s kite lays on a tree stump.
The camp leader says,
RIGHT, CAMPERS, TIME TO SEE WHAT
YOU'VE CRAFTED.
OH, YES, FEATHER DUSTERS.
EXCELLENT WORK.
JUST RIGHT FOR CLEANING UP
AROUND CAMP.
FANS, PERFECT FOR COOLING DOWN
MY HOT CUPS OF TEA.
VERY, UH, SILLY, CHICKENS.
THEY SUIT YOU.
The chickens wear colourful feather hats.
The camp leader approaches two hummingbirds.
She asks,
MY WORD, WHAT HAVE WE HERE?
A hummingbird replies,
WIND CHIMES, CAMP LEADER.
The other hummingbird adds,
THEY'RE PLAYED BY THE WIND.
The camp leader says,
HOW SOOTHING, AND NEXT IS
ODO AND DOODLE.
I'M SURE YOU'VE CRAFTED
SOMETHING VERY IMPRESSIVE.
Odo shows the camp leader a stick man with a feather and a pine cone attached to it. The pine cone falls off.
Odo says,
OH, FEATHER CRAFT IS MORE
TRICKIER THAN WE THOUGHT.
Doodle glues feathers together.
She replies, I LIKE IT, ODO.
The camp leader says,
YOU'RE BOTH DOING VERY WELL.
EVERYONE IS DOING VERY WELL.
CARRY ON, CAMP.
Odo tosses the stick man on the table.
He says,
IF WE'RE GOING TO MAKE THE
BEST FEATHER CRAFT, THEN WE NEED
MORE FEATHERS.
Doodle adds,
NOT JUST MORE FEATHERS, ODO,
ALL THE FEATHERS.
Odo replies,
GOOD IDEA, DOODLE, ONCE WE
HAVE ALL THE FEATHERS, OUR
FEATHER CRAFT WILL BE THE
CRAFTIEST.
Odo carries the sack of feathers to Doodle as the wind picks up.
Doodle says, WHOA, LOOK OUT!
Odo falls off the table.
He says, WHOA!
(Grunting)
The feathers blow away.
Odo shouts,
NO, COME BACK, FEATHERS!
Doodle carries the sack as she follows Odo into the forest.
A toucan says, THAT'S BLOWN IT!
(Both laughing)
The kite flies high in the sky. The feathers float to the ground. They land near Reggie.
(Yawning)
A feather lands on Reggie’s nose.
(Sneezing)
Reggie wakes up.
Reggie asks,
FEATHERS-- WHERE ARE THESE
COMING FROM?
(Grunting)
Reggie collects the feathers in his mouth.
Odo places feathers back in the sack.
He says,
THERE'S SOME FEATHERS OVER
HERE, DOODLE, AND SOME MORE
THERE, AND OVER THERE.
Doodle adds,
AND LOOK, THERE'S A BIG ONE
CAUGHT UP IN THAT TREE.
Odo looks up at a purple feather hanging from a branch.
Odo replies, I'LL GET IT.
(Grunting)
Odo flaps his wings as he jumps up.
Doodle says,
NEARLY, ODO!
YOU NEED TO GO HIGHER.
TRY AGAIN.
(Grunting)
Reggie collects feathers near Odo and Doodle.
(Humming)
Reggie approaches the other birds at the table.
Reggie says,
UM, EXCUSE ME, BUT DO YOU--
(All gasping)
A bird shouts, IT'S A FOX!
(Screaming, clucking)
The camp leader rushes to Reggie. Reggie shrugs.
He says, HUH?
The birds hide under the table.
The camp leader says,
IT'S JUST REGGIE, EVERYONE,
NO NEED TO BE AFRAID.
(All clamouring)
The camp leader adds,
EVERYBODY CALM DOWN.
REGGIE, WHAT DO YOU WANT?
A blue and orange bird asks,
WHAT DO YOU WANT?
WHAT DO YOU WANT?
Reggie replies,
WELL, SEE, I JUST GOT THESE
SOFT FEATHERS--
(Campers screaming)
Odo leaps up again.
He asks,
DOODLE, DO YOU HEAR THAT?
(Gasping)
Doodle answers,
YES, ODO, IT'S THE CAMP.
THEY'RE IN TROUBLE.
Odo replies,
WE'VE GOT TO HELP THEM!
Doodle adds, I HOPE WE CAN.
The kite flies over Odo and Doodle’s heads. It floats to the ground.
Odo says, I KNOW WE CAN!
The other birds shake as they hide under the table.
A goose says,
GO AWAY, YOU FRIGHTFUL
BEAST!
The camp leader taps on the table top.
She replies,
NOW, NOW, REGGIE IS A FRIEND.
Reggie adds,
YOU DON'T NEED TO BE SCARED.
I'M A VEGETARIAN, REMEMBER?
REGGIE THE VEGGIE.
A flamingo says,
THAT'S PRECISELY THE TYPE OF
THING A SNAKEY FOX WOULD SAY IF
HE WASN'T A VEGGIE.
Two toucans add, YOU CAN'T FOOL US.
(All gasping)
A shadow is cast over the forest.
A bird says, WHAT?
A chicken asks,
WHOA, WHAT WAS THAT?
The camp leader looks up into the sky.
She says,
HAWK?
IT'S A HAWK!
A small red bird adds,
IT'S THE BIGGEST BIRD I'VE
EVER SEEN!
A goose says,
A HAWK OF THAT SIZE COULD
EASILY SWOOP DOWN AND CARRY A
FOX AWAY.
Reggie looks worried.
He says,
UH-OH, THIS DOESN'T LOOK GOOD.
The blue and orange bird dances on the table.
He cheers, GO HAWK, GO HAWK!
(Grunting)
Reggie looks up as he runs back and forth across a field. He rushes into the forest.
(Campers cheering)
The camp leader says,
LOOK AT HIM GO!
SUCH ELEGANCE, SUCH GRACE.
IT SWOOPS, IT SOARS, IT LOOPS
THE LOOP, IT HAS A STRING
ATTACHED TO IT?
A STRING?
HANG ON A SECOND.
Odo and Doodle fly the kite over the table.
Odo shouts,
DON'T WORRY, DOODLE, IT'S FINE!
Odo and Doodle add, WHOA!
They float up into the air and fall in front of the camp leader. The kite floats to the ground. It is covered in the colourful feathers.
(Both grunting)
A chicken points at the kite.
It says,
LOOK, IT WASN'T A HAWK AFTER
ALL, IT WAS ODO'S KITE.
The camp leader picks up the kite.
She says,
GOODNESS, WHAT SPLENDID
FEATHER CRAFT.
Reggie peeks out from behind a bush.
He asks,
YOU MEAN, I WAS SCARED OF A
KITE?
HAH, AWW.
NICE ONE, ODO.
Odo replies,
AND THE CAMP WAS SCARED OF
YOU?
BUT YOU'RE REGGIE, REGGIE THE
VEGGIE.
REGGIE'S OUR FRIEND.
The camp leader turns to the other birds.
She adds, I DID TRY TO TELL YOU.
Doodle says,
SORRY, REGGIE, WE WOULDN'T
HAVE DONE THAT WITH THE KITE IF
WE KNEW IT WAS YOU.
Reggie replies,
I JUST CAME BY BECAUSE I
FOUND ALL THESE FEATHERS.
SEE, I'VE BEEN HAVING TERRIBLE
TROUBLE TRYING TO SLEEP, AND
THESE FEATHERS ARE JUST WHAT I
NEED TO MAKE A NICE, SOFT,
FLUFFY PILLOW.
Reggie rubs feathers against his cheek.
The birds say, AWW.
The camp leader replies,
PLEASE, HELP YOURSELF,
REGGIE, AS OUR WAY OF SAYING
SORRY.
The three yellow birds fly around Reggie’s head.
They sing, SORRY
The camp leader adds,
AND WHY NOT TAKE THIS FEATHER
SACK?
IT'LL MAKE A WONDERFUL
PILLOWCASE.
The birds collect the feathers and place them in the sack. The camp leader hands the sack to Reggie.
Reggie says,
THANK YOU!
OH, NICE!
Reggie runs away from the birds.
Doodle says,
BUT IF THERE ARE NO FEATHERS
LEFT FOR FEATHER CRAFTS, WHAT
ARE WE GOING TO DO NOW?
A gust of wind blows past Odo and Doodle.
Odo replies,
OH, I'VE GOT A BRILLIANT IDEA!
(Camp leader laughing)
The birds fly the feathered kite. The camp leader looks up at it.
She says, OH, LOOK AT THAT!
A bird cheers, YAY, WOOHOO!
The camp leader asks,
ISN'T IT IMPRESSIVE?
(Sighing)
Reggie sleeps soundly on his feather pillow.

YES, ODO, IT'S THE CAMP.
