BeeBee says, THE CARROT! GOOD JOB, CLICKY!
[Clicking, whistling, upbeat music plays]
BeeBee and Choochoo bang the rocks and squeeze the bag.
In the garden, Willy drops a seed into the hole.
Willy says, AND THERE! SOON, I'LL HAVE SOME NICE SQUASH. TOO BAD FOR YOU, BUNNIES!
BeeBee says, GRAMPA! GRAMPA! WE FOUND YOUR CARROT!
Choochoo says, THE SNOWLLYS TOOK IT!
Willy takes the carrot.
[Slide whistles, dramatic music plays]
Willy imagines balancing the carrot on the tip of his hat. It grows as he describes it.
Willy says, SWEET TINY PEA! THAT'S NOT MY CARROT. MY CARROT IS AT LEAST TEN... NO, A HUNDRED... NO, A THOUSAND TIMES BIGGER!
[Rustling]
Willy’s daydream ends. Josie rides the orange-striped sheep into the garden.
Josie shouts, WILLY! CHILDREN! MY GIANT CARROT SOUP IS READY!
[Upbeat music notes play]
Willy says, A GIANT CARROT SOUP? SWEET BALL OF YARN! EH... WHERE DID YOU GET THAT GIANT CARROT, MY DEAR JOSIE?!
Josie says, FROM YOUR GARDEN, DEAR WILLY! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO TOLD ME I COULD TAKE IT.
Willy gestures at a large orange.
Willy says, BUT I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO MAKE AN ORANGE SOUP!
Josie says, NO! AN ORANGE SOUP! SOMETIMES I GET THE FEELING WE DON'T SPEAK THE SAME LANGUAGE, YOU AND I...
Josie hugs Willy.
Willy says, BUT THOSE LITTLE BUNNY TRACKS ON THE GROUND AND THE LITTLE BITS OF BUNNY WOOL!
Josie says, OH... IT'S PROBABLY FROM MY LITTLE PIPOO, THE SHEEP. I TIED THE CARROT TO HIS BACK BECAUSE IT WAS VERY HEAVY. BUT... WHERE DID HE GO?
[Beeping]
BeeBee says, HE SAYS: PIPOO WENT BACK TO THE HOUSE.
Josie says, OH! THE SOUP! HE WENT TO EAT THE SOUP!
Josie and Willy run from the garden.
[Gentle music plays]
BeeBee says, SO, THIS CARROT REALLY DOES BELONG TO THE SNOWLLYS.
Choochoo says, WE SHOULD TAKE IT BACK TO THEM... CLICKY, DO YOU THINK YOU COULD...
[Beeping, rumbling]
Clicky moves wool and rolls from the garden to the base of Mount Snowlly.
BeeBee says, THANK YOU, CLICKY!
Choochoo says, YES, THANK YOU.
[Beeping, whistling]
Choochoo squeezes the bag.
[Upbeat music plays, banging, scraping, rustling]
The red cardboard curtains close, and Lila and Marco move the cardboard theatre away from the toys.
Marco says, I KNOW HOW I'LL BE ABLE TO MAKE JAMEL UNDERSTAND! WE'LL SHOW EACH OTHER DIFFERENT OBJECTS, AND WE'LL TELL EACH OTHER WHAT WE CALL THEM IN OUR LANGUAGE!
[Clicking]
Marco puts his Jamel figure on the floor. Lila puts Josie Woolly beside Jamel.
Lila says, AND THE FIRST WORD YOU CAN TEACH HIM IS ""WOOLLY"!
[Upbeat music plays]
