A window on the second floor of one of the houses is opened. Annie, a pig with red hair, stands at the window sill. She wears a bright pink dress with red and orange flower designs.

Annie says,
YES AND HE'S A MOUSE.

A narrator says,
YOU'LL FEEL BETTER WITH
DR. CHEDDAR.

A window on the third floor is opened. Dr. Cheddar, a white mouse, waves from his office. He wears a blue lab coat and a stethoscope around his neck. A diploma is displayed on the blue wall behind him and a pink flower sits in a pot on the floor.

The title reads, “Dr. Cheddar”.

Dr. Cheddar makes paper snowflakes in his office.

He says,
A LITTLE CUT HERE,
UM A BIT MORE...THERE.

(Dr. Cheddar gasps)

Dr. Cheddar looks at one of his paper snowflakes made out of blue paper.

He says,
ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL SNOWFLAKE
FOR MY SNOWFLAKE LINE.

(Dr. Cheddar giggles)

Dr. Cheddar looks up at a string of paper snowflakes hanging over his desk.

He says,
OOH, OH HELLO THERE.
DR. CHEDDAR HERE TO
HELP YOU FEEL BETTER.

(Dr. Cheddar giggles)

Dr. Cheddar rests his hands on his hips.

He adds,
IT'S CHILLY OUTSIDE TODAY.
THE FALL SEASON IS OVER,
THE LEAVES HAVE ALL FALLEN,
AND IT'S WINTER.

(Dr. Cheddar giggles)

Dr. Cheddar says,
ONE OF THE THINGS I LOVE
ABOUT THIS TIME OF YEAR
IS THE FIRST SNOWFALL.

(Dr. Cheddar giggles)

Dr. Cheddar looks down at the paper snowflakes on his desk.

He adds,
I REMEMBER THE FIRST
TIME FELIX WENT OUTSIDE
ON A WINTERS DAY.

(Dr. Cheddar giggles)

Felix stands at the back door of his house. He looks outside at the snow-covered backyard.

Dr. Cheddar says,
WHEN IT GETS REALLY COLD,
SNOW FALLS FROM THE CLOUDS,
LIKE RAIN FALLS FROM THE
CLOUDS IN THE SUMMER.
TIME TO GO OUTSIDE.

Felix puts on his yellow winter jacket.

(Felix grunts)

Footprints carve through the deep snow in Felix’s backyard.

Dr. Cheddar says,
FELIX COULD SEE HIS
FOOTPRINTS IN THE SNOW.
EVERYTHING IS COVERED
WITH SNOW LIKE A BLANKET.
IT'S COLD LIKE ICE
CREAM, BUT NOT AS SWEET.
I'M SURE FELIX WISHED
HE HAD A FRIEND
TO SHARE THIS WINTER
WONDERLAND WITH.

Felix looks around his backyard.

He says,
I KNOW.
I'LL MAKE ONE.

Felix digs into the snow with his hands. He builds a snowman.

Dr. Cheddar says,
FIRST FELIX HAD
TO MAKE A SNOW BODY.
THEN A SNOW HEAD.
EVERY SNOW BUDDY NEEDS ARMS.
FELIX TOOK TWO STICKS HE FOUND
AND PUSHED THEM IN ON
THE SIDE OF THE BODY.
HIS SNOW BUDDY ALSO
NEEDS EYES TO SEE WITH
AND FELIX USED SOME STONES.
HE USED A CARROT FOR A NOSE.
AND THAT'S HOW FELIX BUILT
HIS FIRST SNOW BUDDY.
BUT WHAT HE DIDN'T KNOW YET IS
THAT WHEN THE WEATHER CHANGES
AND IT GETS WARMER AGAIN,
THE SNOW MELTS AND TURNS
INTO WATER AND GOES AWAY.

(Dr. Cheddar sighs)

Felix’s snowman leans to one side as it melts.

Dr. Cheddar adds,
SNOW AND ICE NEED TO STAY
VERY COLD OR THEY'LL MELT.
BUT WHERE FELIX LIVES,
WINTER LASTS A LONG TIME,
AND THERE'S USUALLY
MORE SNOW ON THE WAY.
AND THAT MEANS FELIX
GETS ANOTHER CHANCE
TO BUILD SOME MORE SNOW BUDDIES,
AND MAYBE A SNOW BUNNY,
AND A SNOW DOCTOR,
AND EVEN A FRIENDLY
SNOW MONSTER,
AND A SNOW ANNIE.
THIS IS DR. CHEDDAR
HOPING YOU FEEL BETTER
LEARNING ABOUT SNOWY DAYS.

(Fireworks banging)

(Cheerful music)

Dr. Cheddar, Felix, and Annie sit outside at night. Fireworks explode in the sky.

Felix says, WHOA.

Annie adds, WOW.

Dr. Cheddar replies, LOVELY.
