(Whistling music)
In a montage, Pins and Nettie explore and experience new activities together. Pins and Nettie join a birthday party with other hedgehogs. Pins and Nettie laugh together. They hop behind a bird on a sunny day. Nettie jumps in a puddle on a sidewalk. Pins and Nettie splash in splash in a puddle in the rain.

The sun shines brightly as Pins runs through grass. Pins sniffs the grass.
(Calm music plays)
A female narrator says, HI THERE, PINS.
Pins squeaks, waves and sniffs the grass some more.
The narrator asks, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Pins squeaks.
The narrator says, OH, EXPLORING.
I SHOULD HAVE GUESSED.
Pins sniffs another spot in the grass near a rock. He squeaks.
The narrator ASKS, WHAT DO YOU SEE THERE PINS?
Pins steps behind the rock. He returns with a blue stone and holds it up.
The narrator asks, OH, WHAT DID YOU FIND PINS?
The stone sparkles. Pins smiles.
The narrator says, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL STONE!
Pins shines the stone and holds it up again.
The narrator says, WOW!
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL, SHINY STONE.
The stone sparkles.
The narrator says, SO SHINY!
Pins looks at the stone thoughtfully.
The narrator says, OH, YOU KNOW WHO WOULD LOVE A
SHINY STONE LIKE THAT?
Pins squeaks. He looks deep in thought.
The narrator says, NETTIE!
Pins squeaks. The narrator chuckles.
The narrator says, GREAT IDEA, PINS!
NETTIE IS SURE TO LOVE SUCH A
SHINY STONE.
Pins jumps up and down. He looks happy. Pins squeaks and leaves.
The narrator says, WAIT FOR ME!
Pins walks towards home holding the stone up high. He walks inside but doesn’t find Nettie. Pins frowns.
The narrator says, I DON’T KNOW WHERE NETTIE IS!
NETTIE?
NETTIE?
ARE YOU HOME?
Pins squeaks.
(Squeaks)
The narrator says, OH, SHE’S IN THE PLAY ROOM,
PINS.
Pins squeaks and sticks the stone in his spines. Pins finds Nettie shining a collection of items that include a button, a coin and a key. Nettie shines the button.
The narrator says, HI, NETTIE!
Nettie squeaks.
The narrator asks, WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE?
Nettie shines the button, then holds it up. She squeaks. Pins looks nervous.
The narrator says, OH, YOU’RE MAKING YOUR SHINY
THINGS COLLECTION EVEN SHINIER?
I DIDN’T THINK THAT WAS EVEN
POSSIBLE.
Nettie shines the coin from her collection.
The narrator whispers, GO AHEAD, PINS.
Pins looks shy. He looks at Nettie who holds up the coin. The coin sparkles. Pins frowns and curls up into a ball. He rolls away. Nettie doesn’t notice. She shines another item.
The narrator says, UH-OH.
Pins rolls onto a rug but stays curled up. His eyes peak out.
The narrator asks, PINS, WHAT’S THE MATTER?
WHY DIDN’T YOU GIVE NETTIE THE
PRESENT YOU FOUND FOR HER?
ARE YOU FEELING SHY ABOUT GIVING
IT TO HER?
Pins curled up self nods.
The narrator asks, BUT WHY?
YOU WERE SO EXCITED WHEN YOU
FOUND SHINY STONE IN THE MEADOW.
Pins uncurls and lays on the rug. He looks worried. Pins takes out the stone from his spines and looks at it.
The narrator says, OH…ARE YOU WORRIED THAT
NETTIE WON’T LIKE YOUR PRESENT,
PINS?
Pins squeaks.
The narrator asks, WHY DO YOU THINK SHE WON’T LIKE
IT?
Pins holds the stone. He tries shining it and sighs. Pins squeaks.
The narrator says, BECAUSE IT’S NOT SHINY ENOUGH?
Pins squeaks.
The narrator says, I THIKN IT’S GOT THE PERFECT
AMOUNT OF SHINE, AND I THINK
NETTIE IS GOING TO LOVE IT.
I THINK NETTIE WOULD LOVE ANY
PRESENT YOU GAVE HER.
Pins squeaks.
The narrator says, WELL, BECAUSE YOU’RE HER BEST
FRIEND, THAT’S WHY
YOU DON’T HAVE TO GIVE THE STONE
TO NETTIE IF YOU DON’T WANT TO,
PINS.
Pins squeaks. He stands up.
The narrator says, GOOD.
Pins carries the stone to the playroom. He joins Nettie, who is shining her key.
The narrator says, UM, NETTIE?
Nettie is smiling. She looks up, and then at Pins.
The narrator says, GO AHEAD, PINS.
Pins looks worried. Nettie looks happy. Pins places the stone near Nettie’s collection. Nettie stands and walks to the stone. She looks thoughtful.
The narrator says, IT’S FOR YOU NETTIE.
Nettie squeaks. She looks excited. She grabs the stone and holds it up. The stone sparkles.Nettie squeaks again.
The narrator says, IT IS SHINY!
PINS FOUND IT AND THOUGHT YOU
WOULD LIKE IF FOR YOUR SHINY
THINGS COLLECTION.
Pins smiles. Nettie squeaks. She rubs up against Pins. Nettie backs up. She looks grateful. Nettie squeaks again. She takes the stone and lays down with her shiny things collection. She shines the stone.
The narrator says, WE KNEW YOU’D LOVE IT.
DIDN’T WE PINS?
Pins lays down with Nettie. Nettie and Pins squeak. Nettie holds up her new shiny stone.She squeaks and smiles.
