In a montage, Pins and Nettie explore and experience new activities together. Pins and Nettie join a birthday party with other hedgehogs. Pins and Nettie laugh together. They hop behind a bird on a sunny day. Nettie jumps in a puddle on a sidewalk. Pins and Nettie splash in splash in a puddle in the rain.

In Pins and Nettie’s kitchen, a table is covered with carrots.
A female narrator says, NETTIE, PINS!
I’VE GOT A SURPRISE FOR YOU!
Pins and Nettie run into the kitchen. They squeak.
The narrator says, LOOK!
Pins and Nettie look at the carrots on the table. They look confused.
The narrator says, TA-DA!
Pins and Nettie squeak, still looking confused.
The narrator says, THEY’RE CARROTS.
I GREW THEM IN MY GARDEN.
Pins and Nettie get closer to the carrots. Pins swats a carrot. The narrator laughs.
The narrator says, OF COARSE YOU EAT IT.
THAT’S WHAT CARROTS ARE FOR.
Pins and Nettie look surprised.
The narrator says, WAIT A SECOND.
PINS, NETTIE, HAVE YOU NEVER
EATEN A CARROT BEFORE?
Pins and Nettie shake their heads.
The narrator says, MY GOODNESS, YOU ARE IN FOR A
TREAT.
CARROTS ARE ONE OF MY FAVOURITE
FOODS.
Nettie goes up to a carrot. Nettie and Pins squeak.
The narrator says, GO ON, GIVE IT A TRY.
Nettie takes a bite out of a carrot. She takes a step back and chews the carrot.
The narrator says, SO, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Nettie chews the carrot some more. She frowns and squeaks.
The narrator says, OH, YOU DIDN’T LIKE IT?
Nettie shrugs.
The narrator says, WELL, THAT’S OKAY.
NOT EVERYONE LIKES THE SAME
THINGS, RIGHT?
Nettie smiles and squeals. Pins looks uncertain.
The narrator asks, HOW ABOUT YOU, PINS?
DO YOU WANT TO GIVE THE CARROTS
A TRY?
Pins reaches for a carrot, but stops. He looks nervous. Pins shakes his head and curls up in a ball.
The narrator says, OH, NO, PINS, WHAT’S WRONG?
Pins eyes peak out and look anxious.
The narrator asks, THE CARROTS?
WHAT ABOUT THE CARROTS IS
MAKING YOU ANXIOUS?
ARE YOU WORRIED YOU WON’T LIKE
THEM IF YOU TRY THEM?
Pins curled up self nods.
The narrator says, WELL, IT’S OKAY IF YOU DON’T
LIKE THEM.
NETTIE DIDN’T REALLY LIKE THEM,
DID YOU, NETTIE?
Nettie shakes her head. She squeaks, then smiles. Pins uncurls himself.
The narrator says, SO…
Pins squeaks.
The narrator continues, …DO YOU WANT TO GIVE THEM A
TRY NOW?
Pins squeaks.
The narrator says, WELL, YOU DON’T HAVE TO TRY THE
CARROTS IF YOU DON’T WANT TO.
Pins squeaks and smiles.
The narrator asks, BUT WHAT’S THE WORST THING THAT
COULD HAPPEN IF YOU DID TRY
THEM?
Pins looks deep in thought. He sticks his tongue out.
The narrator says, RIGHT, YOU MIGHT NOT LIKE THEM.
Nettie squeaks in laughter. She sticks her tongue out and the narrator laughs.
The narrator says, RIGHT, LIKE NETTIE, BUT WHAT IF
YOU TRY THE CARROTS, AND YOU
DO LIKE THEM, PINS?
Pins squeaks and smiles.
The narrator says, YUP, THERE’S JUST A GOOD A
CHANCE YOU’LL LIKE THE CARROTS
AS NOT.
Pins goes up to the carrots and sniffs them. He looks unsure.
The narrator says, IT’S TOTALLY UP TO YOU, PINS.
Pins smiles and takes a bite of carrot. He backs away from the table and chews. He swallows and looks confused.
The narrator says, WELL?
Pins smiles and jumps up and down.
The narrator says, OOH, YOU LIKED IT!
YAY!
Pins squeaks. He looks happy.
The narrator says, AREN’T YOU GLAD YOU TOOK THE
CHANCE AND GAVE THE CARROT A
TASTE?
Pins nod. He jumps towards to the carrots and takes another bite. He looks happy as he chews the carrot. He jumps away from the carrots and jumps up and down looking excited. The narrator laughs.
The narrator says, I’D SAY YOU DON’T JUST LIKE
CARROTS, BUT YOU LOVE THEM!
Pins and Nettie squeak in laughter.
The narrator says, AW, THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY,
PINS, BUT WHAT ABOUT YOU,
NETTIE?
IT’S OK TO NOT LIKE CARROTS,
BUT WHAT WILL YOU HAVE FOR A
SNACK?
Nettie smiles and runs off.
The narrator says, HUH?
WHAT IS THAT LITTLE HEDGIE UP
TO?
Pins looks confused. Nettie returns with a strawberry.
The narrator says, OOH, STRAWBERREIS!
Nettie smiles.
The narrator says, THAT’LL BE A GREAT SNACK FOR
YOU, NETTIE.
Nettie runs off again. Strawberries are bounced towards the table. Pins squeaks in laughter. Nettie returns, smiling.
The narrator says, OOH, ARE THOSE FOR PINS AND ME?
Nettie squeaks.
The narrator says, WELL, THANK YOU, NETTIE.
MM, CARROTS AND STRAWBERRIES.

DIG IN!
