(Playful music plays)
Text reads, tvokids + yle + Radio-Canada Original.
Different animal friends cheer and giggle as they build and decorate a world together. They put together a title on a cloud. Giant panda Momolu adds the letter M to the title that reads, TVOKids Presents Momolu And Friends.
Birds chirp as Momolu and his animal friends Nooni the fox, Bani the rabbit, Huhu the owl, Hiko the badger and DJ Bass the Bear wave.
Together they cheer, YAY!
Momolu announces, BANNI'S BIRDHOUSE!
Birds chirp as they fly through a forest.
Momolu says, ONE BERRY FOR THE BASKET.
He drops a berry in a basket. His face is covered in berry.
Momolu says, ONE FOR NOONI.
Nooni zips past Momolu.
Momolu says, AND...
He picks a berry off a bush.
He says, …ONE FOR ME!
YUM!
He eats the berry. Nooni carries berries.
She says, SILLY MOMOLU!
WE CAN'T FILL OUR BASKETS
IF WE KEEP EATING THEM!
Nooni speeds through the forest.
Momolu says, BUT HOW WILL WE KNOW
WHICH ONES TO PICK
IF WE DON'T TASTE THEM FIRST?
Nooni says, COME ON MOMOLU!
MY BASKET IS FULL.
Momolu looks at his basket.
He says, ONE FOR THE BASKET, AND...
Nooni says, MOMOLU!
She carries her basket of berries.
Momolu says, ...THREE FOR ME!
He eats his berries.
With his mouth full, he says, COMING!
He and Nooni carry their baskets up a path.
Momolu says, BANNI! WE HAVE A SURPRISE
FOR YOU!
He knocks on a pink door. He and Nooni step inside.
Momolu says, ROLY POLY PANDAS!
Birds fill Banni’s house. They chirp loudly. Banni stands at an easel and yawns. She puts down her paint brush.
She says, HI, MOMOLU.
HI NOONI.
Momolu asks, WHY IS YOUR HOUSE FULL OF CUTE
LITTLE BIRDIES?
Banni yawns.
She says, THEY LIKE IT HERE.
She shrugs and yawns again.
She says, AND I DON'T WANT TO BOTHER THEM.
Banni falls asleep standing up. She starts to snore then suddenly jerks awake.
She says, OH, HI MOMOLU.
NOONI.
WANT SOME TEA?
Momolu says, HMM?
Nooni says, OH BANNI, YOU'RE SO TIRED!
YOU MUST SIT DOWN.
LET ME HELP YOU.
She leads Banni through the house.
Nooni says, MOMOLU?
TEA?
Momolu says, YES PLEASE!
OH, RIGHT!
He puts down his basket of berries.
He says, I'LL MAKE SOME TEA!
Nooni says, SHOO, YOU SILLY BIRDS!
She waves at the birds covering Banni’s bed. A bird blows a raspberry in Nooni’s face before flying away. Birds eat Momolu’s berries.
Banni says, THANKS, NOONI.
She lies in her bed with her eyes closed.
She says, THEY LOOK SO HAPPY.
BUT IT'S HARD TO SLEEP
WITH ALL OF THEIR CHIRPING.
Momolu reaches for a tin.
He says, SOME TEABAGS FIRST.
He opens the tin and a bird pops out.
Momolu says, OOPS!
HELLO, BIRDIE!
He puts the lid back on the tin and sets it on a table.
He says, UM, MUGS?
Momolu grabs a mug and a bird flies out.
He says, EEP!
The bird flies away. Momolu puts the mug down and grabs a kettle. He removes the lid and a bird sticks their head out.
Momolu says, WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THERE?
Banni says, OH, DEAR.
Nooni says, MAYBE WE'LL MAKE TEA LATER?
Momolu says, HOW ABOUT SOME BERRIES,
BANNI?
WE BROUGHT YOU YOUR FAVORITE!
He grabs his basket that’s now empty.
He says, UH, NOONI, DID YOU EAT
THE BERRIES?
Nooni says, HMM?
She looks at the basket.
Momolu says, OR DID I?
A bird pops out from the basket with a single berry. Nooni gasps. The bird eats the berry.
Nooni says, UGH!
The bird flies out of the basket. The birds on Banni’s bed chirp. Nooni groans.
She says, BANNI, THESE BIRDIES MUST GO!
Bannie says, BUT HOW?
Momolu says, I CAN TAKE CARE OF THIS.
He walks to the centre of the room.
He says, EXCUSE ME?
LITTLE BIRDIES?
IT'S BEEN NICE, BUT MAYBE
YOU COULD ALL JUST GO NOW?
The birds fly toward Momolu.
Momolu says, UH, GO BACK TO...
TO YOUR OWN HOMES?
The birds stand on Momolu.
Momolu says, PRETTY PLEASE?
Banni says, I TRIED THAT. IT DIDN'T WORK.
Momolu says, I KNOW WHAT WE NEED: HIKO!
HE CAN SOLVE THIS MYSTERY!
Banni and Nooni say, GOOD IDEA, MOMOLU!
The three friends walk through the forest of berry covered bushes. Momolu carries his basket.
He says, ONE FOR THE BASKET...
Banni says, MOMOLU!
Momolu says, ..ONE FOR BANNI,
ONE FOR NOONI,
ONE FOR ME!
He eats a berry. Leaves rustle in a bush.
Nooni asks, IS THAT ANOTHER BIRD?
A badger’s ears poke out of the bushes.
Banni says, I DON'T THINK THAT'S A BIRD.
Momolu says, EEP!
He grabs his basket of berries and runs to his friends.
He says, IT'S GETTING CLOSER!
The bushes continue to rustle. As the animal moves closer to the friends. Hiko pops out of the bushes.
He says, AH! I FOUND IT!
Momolu laughs nervously.
He says, AND WE FOUND YOU!
WE NEED YOUR HELP.
Hiko says, HUH?
Nooni says, BANNI'S HOUSE IS FILLED
WITH BIRDS.
Hiko says, OH! SO THAT'S WHY THERE AREN'T
MANY BIRDS OUT HERE.
MYSTERY SOLVED.
Nooni says, WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE
THEM LEAVE.
THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!
Momolu says, POOR BANNI CAN'T SIT,
OR SLEEP, OR HAVE TEA.
Banni’s eyes close and she starts to snore. Behind the friends in the forest, a black bear wearing a bow tie waves.
Momolu says, SEE?
Hiko says, I BELIEVE I CAN HELP.
FOLLOW ME!
Nooni follows Hiko. Momolu walks with Banni who walks very slowly. Elsewhere, Hiko flips through a book.
He says, SCARECROWS ARE USED
TO SCARE BIRDS IN THE GARDEN,
BUT I BELIEVE IT MIGHT WORK
IN A HOUSE TOO.
Momolu says, A SCARECROW?
Nooni says, YES! THAT'S WHAT WE NEED!
Banni says, BUT THEY'RE SUCH CUTE
LITTLE BIRDS.
I DON'T WANT TO SCARE THEM.
Nooni says, WE'LL ONLY SCARE THEM
A LITTLE BIT.
IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO GET
YOUR HOUSE BACK.
Banni says, FINE.
She draws a picture of a smiling scarecrow wearing a hat and bowtie.
Hiko says, HMM. IT NEEDS TO BE A LITTLE
SCARIER THAN THAT, BANNI.
Banni says, OKAY.
Momolu chuckles. Banni continues drawing. Nooni runs up to a red barn and takes some hay. Momolu drapes a purple cape over a scarecrow wearing a pink shirt. Nooni stuffs the hay inside the shirt.
She says, HUH?
Momolu says, HMM?
They look at their scarecrow thoughtfully. Nooni takes two carrots from a garden. She holds them up to her mouth like teeth and giggles. Momolu grabs a flower pot and wears it like a hat. The scarecrow as vampire -like carrot teeth. Momolu places the pot on the scarecrows head.
He says, UH-HUH.
Hiko chuckles.
He says, I BELIEVE THAT WILL WORK.
In Banni’s house, the birds chirp. Hiko, Banni and Nooni steps inside. Momolu carries the scarecrow in.
He says, HELLO, LITTLE BIRDIES.
The birds turn to the scarecrow and chirp. They fly onto the scarecrow.
Momolu says, HIKO, IS THIS HOW IT WORKS?
Hiko says, DEFINITELY NOT.
I'M SORRY BANNI.
Nooni says, ME TOO.
Banni says, IT’S OKAY.
I DIDN'T REALLY WANT TO SCARE
THEM ANYWAY.
Hiko says, IF THE SCARECROW
DIDN'T WORK,
I SUPPOSE THE BIRDS ARE
HERE TO STAY.
Banni lets out a big yawn.
She says, DOES ANYONE WANT SOME TEA?
She grabs her kettle and removes the lid.
She says, OH
A bird sticks its head out of the pot.
Banni says, HELLO LITTLE ONE.
She giggles. She looks up and gasps.
She says, MOMOLU, CAN I HAVE
THE SCARECROW'S HAT?
Momolu says, SURE.
He hands Banni the flower pot.
Banni says, HONEY BUNNY SWEET.
She puts hay in the pot.
She says, HERE.
She offers the bird from the kettle the flower pot. The bird hops into the pot.
Banni says, I'M HAPPY YOU LIKE
YOUR NEW HOME, BIRDIE.
Hiko says, BANNI SOLVED THE MYSTERY.
THE BIRDS ARE HERE
BECAUSE THEY'RE NESTING!
Banni says, CAN WE MAKE NEW HOMES
FOR THEM?
THEN THEY WON'T NEED
MY HOME ANYMORE.
Momolu says, OOH, LIKE A BIRDIE VILLAGE!
THAT'S MUCH NICER THAN
A SCARECROW!
Nooni says, YOU'RE BUNNY BRILLIANT,
BANNI!
Momolu says, LET'S GET BUILDING!
Banni draws designs for a birdie village. Momolu stuffs hay in a mug. Nooni stuffs hay in a tea pot. Hiko stuffs hay in a boot. The friends paint the new bird homes which includes a cheese grater.
Banni says, ALL DONE!
The friends stand outside.
Banni says, NOW LET'S SEE
WHAT THE BIRDS THINK.
Momolu says, THEY'RE NOT COMING OUT.
Hiko says, I CAN SOLVE THIS MYSTERY:
THE BIRDS AREN'T LEAVING BECAUSE
THEY DON'T KNOW
THE BIRD VILLAGE IS READY
FOR THEM.
Banni says, I HAVE AN IDEA!
She hops back inside.
Nooni says, HMM?
She looks at Momolu and Hiko.
Banni says, SWEET BIRDIES,
LOOK WHAT I HAVE!
She makes a trail of berries leading out of her house. Her friends smile. The birds chirp as they follow the berry trail out of the house.
Banni says, I THINK THEY LIKE IT.
Momolu says, I DON'T THINK THEY LIKE IT.
I THINK THEY LOVE IT!
Banni says, WELCOME TO YOUR NEW HOME,
BIRDIES!
The birds sit in the nests the friends made.
Momolu says, HERE'S A BERRY FOR YOU.
ONE FOR YOU, AND YOU,
AND YOU.
AND YOU!
He hands out berries to the birds.
He says, AND THEN ONE FOR ME.
He eats a berry.
He says, I COULDN'T RESIST.
Momolu and his friends laugh.
Nooni says, I THINK IT MIGHT FINALLY
BE TIME FOR THAT CUP OF TEA.
Hiko follows Nooni toward Banni’s house. Momolu starts to follow.
(Snoring)
Momolu pauses. He looks down at Banni who’s fallen asleep.
He says, HMM?
Hiko and Nooni laugh. Momolu shrugs.
(Upbeat music plays)
