Different animal friends cheer and giggle as they build and decorate a world together. They put together a title on a cloud. Giant panda Momolu adds the letter M to the title that reads, TVOKids Presents Momolu And Friends.
Birds chirp as Momolu and his animal friends Nooni the fox, Bani the rabbit, Huhu the owl, Hiko the badger and DJ Bass the Bear wave.
Together they cheer, YAY!
Momolu announces, THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!
(Giggling)
Banni rides on Momolu’s head.
She says, WHEEE!
Momolu says, OH, I HOPE THAT HUHU
WANTS TO COME
FLOWER PICKING WITH US TODAY!
He walks up to a red barn and knocks on the door.
Huhu says, COME IN!
Banni hops off Momolu and grunts as she pushes against the door.
Momolu says, HERE. LET ME.
He grunts as he pushes against the door with Banni.
Momolu says, OOH. IT IS TRICKY.
The friends grunt as they push the door open. Inside, the space is full of boxes.
Banni says, HUHU? WHERE ARE YOU?
Huhu flies out of a costume rack.
She says, TA-DAH! HERE I AM!
Momolu and Banni say, OH!
Huhu says, SORRY FOR THE MESS!
I'M EMPTYING MY ATTIC
TO MAKE ROOM
FOR A TAP DANCE STUDIO.
She dances and sings a tune. She laughs and does a twirl, knocking a hat off one of the costume racks.
Huhu says, SEE? I CAN'T TAP DANCE
WITH ALL THIS STUFF IN HERE.
Banni wears the hat.
Momolu asks, WHERE DID YOU GET
ALL OF THESE GREAT COSTUMES?
Huhu says, OH! I'VE BEEN IN LOTS
OF PLAYS,
AS AN ACTOR.
She stands on a table. She giggles and pulls on a cape.
She asks, HOW DO I LOOK?
Huhu hops off the table.
She says, VERY ROYAL!
She gasps and grabs a crown from a box.
She says, HERE.
She swaps Banni’s hat for the crown.
Banni says, OOOH! LOVELY!
Huhu chuckles.
Momolu says, WHAT ABOUT ME?
He wears a grass skirt.
Huhu says, THAT IS SO YOU!
Momolu dances. Banni and Huhu laugh. Banni does a similar dance. Huhu gasps.
She says, IF YOU LIKE THEM SO MUCH,
WHY DON'T YOU TAKE THEM?
Momolu and Banni say, OOH!
Huhu says, I HAVEN'T USED THESE COSTUMES
IN A LONG TIME
AND THEY'RE JUST TAKING UP
SPACE.
A black bear wearing a bow tie pokes out from behind Huhu’s mirror and waves.
Momolu and Banni say, OH?
Momolu says, REALLY?!
Banni says, OH, THAT'S SO NICE OF YOU!
Huhu says, TAKE ANYTHING!
TAKE EVERYTHING!
I'LL HAVE A CLEAR SPACE FOR
MY TAP DANCE STUDIO IN NO TIME.
Banni says, WOW!
HONEY BUNNY SWEET.
Momolu says, THANKS!
Outside, Huhu waves to Momolu and Banni who are still wearing their costumes. Banni pulls a wagon full of other costumes.
Banni says, WAIT TILL OUR FRIENDS
SEE THESE!
She and Momolu giggle. The walk up to a pink building with a cupcake above the door. The wagon Banni pulls squeaks. Momolu knocks on the door. Hiko opens the door with Banni giggling.
Hiko says, HUH, NOW WHAT DO YOU HAVE
THERE?
Kimu joins Hiko.
He asks, ARE YOU GOING
TO A COSTUME PARTY?
Momolu says, HUHU GAVE US THESE COSTUMES!
Hiko says, HMM.
He grabs a pink monster sweater.
He says, OOH!
THIS ONE IS VERY MONSTROUS!
Kimu pulls a striped coat the pile of costumes.
He says, HUHU WAS SO NICE TO GIVE
THESE AWAY.
I'D NEVER BE ABLE TO GET RID
OF THIS FABULOUS COAT.
Banni giggles.
Momolu says, HEY! WHY DON'T WE THANK HUHU
BY PUTTING ON A PLAY
WITH HER COSTUMES?
Banni says, THAT'S A GREAT IDEA!
Kimu says, WE CAN PUT THE PLAY ON
IN HERE!
Hiko says, THIS IS GOING TO BE
SO MUCH FUN!
Banni giggles. She pulls out a cylinder with an antenna she wears as a hat. Momolu chuckles. Inside, Hiko pulls a rope that lifts a table of cupcakes and a long purple tablecloth that hangs like a curtain.
He says, HMM...
Momolu and Banni glue together pieces of wood. Banni places a lamp on a table. Hiko pulls an orange costume out of a box.
Momolu says, UH-UH.
He shakes his head. Hiko pulls out a green costume. He stands on stage with the others.
Momolu says, UH-UH.
He, Kimu and Banni shake their heads. Hiko pulls out a grey costume. Kimu and Banni look at Momolu.
The three of them say, MM-HMM!
The nod. Momolu pulls a lamp to the stage and turns on the light. Banni turns on the other lamp with the light pointed at the stage. Kimu jumps onto the stage with Momolu.
The friends cheer, YAY!
Huhu flies to the door and knocks. Banni answers the door in a pumpkin costume.
She says, WELCOME, HUHU!
Huhu says, OOOH, WHAT'S THIS?
She steps inside and admires the stage.
Huhu says, THIS REMINDS ME OF...
She hops onto a small table.
She says, …A PLAY?!
Banni says, YES!
AND IT'S JUST FOR YOU!
Momolu and Hiko chuckle from behind a door.
Huhu says, IT IS? BUT WHY?
Banni says, YOU WERE SO KIND TO GIVE US
YOUR COSTUMES,
WE WANTED TO THANK YOU!
She hops onto the stage. Kimi joins her wearing a green costume and the top hat.
Kimu says, WELCOME TO OUR PLAY:
"THE ALIEN, THE GRASSHOPPER,
THE PUMPKIN
AND THE SUPER HERO!"
Banni, as the pumpkin, says, HELLO, GRASSHOPPER.
I'M A LOST LITTLE PUMPKIN.
CAN YOU HELP ME GET BACK HOME?
Huhu says, AWW...
She looks at Banni in the pumpkin costume.
She says, OH…
WAIT!
Banni says, HUH?
Huhu says, I'M SORRY, BUT I WORE
THE PUMPKIN COSTUME
IN MY VERY FIRST PLAY:
"THE PUMPKIN'S PROMISE".
Banni glances at Kimu.
Huhu says, IT'S SO SPECIAL TO ME.
MAY I HAVE IT BACK?
Banni says, OH. UH, OF COURSE.
She hands costume to Huhu, who lets out a relieved sigh. She leaves the stage and wipes her forehead.
She says, WOO!
AND ACTION!
Banni looks back at Kimu.
Kimu, as the grasshopper, says, YOU MUST GO PAST
THE ROCKETSHIP.
COME WITH ME.
Banni says, THANK YOU!
Kimu hops around the stage with Banni.
He says, HOP, HOP, HOP.
HOP, HOP. HOP.
Huhu watches the play nervously.
Kimu says, HOP, HOP, HOP.
Huhu says, WAIT!
She flies onto the stage between Banni and Kimu.
She says, EXCUSE ME, BUT...
Kimu says, OH, TOO MUCH HOPPING?
Huhu says, NO. IT'S THE COSTUME.
Kimu says, YOU WANT IT BACK?
Huhu says, IF YOU DON'T MIND.
YOU SEE, I WON AN AWARD
FOR MY ROLE AS A GRASSHOPPER
IN "THE GRASSHOPPER
JUMPS ONCE".
Banni frowns. Kimu hands the costume back to Huhu.
Huhu says, OH, THANK YOU!
PLEASE, KEEP GOING.
IT'S A WONDERFUL PLAY!
She leaves the stage. Banni and Kimu shrug. They continue hopping.
Kimu says, HOP, HOP, HOP.
Hiko steps onto the stage in the grey costume with the cylinder hat.
He says, KLING, KLANG, BLOOP!
Banni says, HELLO, ALIEN!
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A ROCKETSHIP.
Momolu says, DID SOMEBODY SAY ROCKETSHIP?
SUPER MOMOLU TO THE RESCUE!
Momolu wears blue shirt with a star and a red mask and cape. He runs onto the stage.
Huhu says, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT!
She flies onto the stage.
Hiko, as the alien, says, BLOOP?
Banni says, YOU WANT THE COSTUMES?
Huhu says, I KNOW, I KNOW.
BUT THESE COSTUMES WERE THE ONES
I WORE IN MY FIRST MOVIE
"SUPER ALIEN".
I WAS A SUPER HERO BY DAY
AND ALIEN BY NIGHT.
Momolu says, HUH?
Kimu says, UH...
Hiko says, HMM…
Huhu says, OH...
She drops her head.
Hiko says, OKAY.
KLING, KLANG, BLOOP.
He takes off his cylinder hat. Huhu gasps and flies over to him.
She says, THANKS FOR UNDERSTANDING.
Huhu looks at Momolu in the super hero costume.
Momolu says, OH!
He takes off the mask.
He says, UM, HUHU,
I THOUGHT YOU DIDN'T HAVE ANY
ROOM FOR THE COSTUMES?
WHAT ABOUT YOUR TAP DANCE
STUDIO?
Huhu sighs.
She says, YOU'RE RIGHT.
I CAN'T KEEP THEM
IN MY ATTIC AND TAP DANCE.
BUT THESE COSTUMES HOLD SO MANY
GREAT MEMORIES.
Banni says, I KNOW A WAY YOU CAN
KEEP THE COSTUMES
AND HAVE THEM NOT TAKE UP
A LOT OF SPACE.
Banni hops off the stage. Huhu gasps.
She says, HOW?
Banni grabs the other costumes.
She says, WE'LL MAKE A MEMORY QUILT!
WE TAKE A SQUARE OF FABRIC
FROM EACH COSTUME
AND PUT THEM ALL TOGETHER
TO FORM A BIG QUILT.
Momolu says, ROLY POLY PANDAS!
THAT WAY, YOU WILL HAVE
A MEMORY OF EACH COSTUME.
YOU CAN HANG THE QUILT
ON THE WALL.
Huhu says, THAT'S BUNNY BRILLIANT!
I LOVE IT!
Costumes and supplies for the quilt appear on a table. Squares are drawn and cut from the costume then glued to fabric by all of the friends. The finished quilt hangs on a rack. Huhu admires the quilt.
She days, THANKS, EVERYONE!
THIS QUILT MAKES ME SO HAPPY.
IT REMINDS ME OF ALL THE GREAT
TIMES I HAD.
Huhu sighs happily.
She says, LET'S DANCE!
Huhu sings a tune as she dances. The others laugh.
Banni says, YAY! DANCING!
The friends all sing their own tunes and dance. They strike a pose and laugh.
