[Laughing, chirping]

Momolu opens a red door and walks through a doorway of a pink house. Momolu carries a picnic basket covered with a small orange checkered cloth in his right hand.
[Door creaks, playful music plays softly]
A pink butterfly flutters over Momolu’s head.
Momolu says, HELLO, BUTTERFLY!
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!
PERFECT FOR BUILDING
A SANDCASTLE!
SAND DUNES, HERE I COME!
Banni stands beside a patch of carrots. Birds stand in the grass and on a table and chairs beside her.
[Birds chirp]
Banni calls, MOMOLU! PHEW!
I NEED HELP FEEDING THE BIRDIES.
THERE ARE SO MANY THIS MORNING!
Momolu says, OF COURSE!
IT WOULD BE MY PLEASURE!
Banni says, OOPS. I HAVE TO
GET MORE BERRIES.
Momolu says, NO WORRIES:
I'LL HELP YOU. IT'LL BE FASTER
WITH TWO OF US.
Banni says, THANKS, MOMOLU!
Momolu and Banni pick purple berries off bushes.
[Rustling, giggling]
Banni asks, WHO WANTS
YUMMY BERRIES?!
[Birds chirp]
Momolu says, OKAY. SEE YOU LATER.
I'M GOING TO BUILD THE BIGGEST
SANDCASTLE EVER!
Banni says, THANKS! GOOD LUCK!
[Momolu sings]
[Straining grunts]
Momolu says, HMM?
Kimu, a brown cat, struggles to move a table.
Momlu says, HI KIMU!
DO YOU NEED A HAND?
Kimu says, OH, YES!
THAT WOULD BE GREAT.
THIS TABLE IS HEAVIER
THAN IT LOOKS.
[Rattling]
Momolu says, I'M SURE TOGETHER
WE CAN MOVE IT EASILY.
Momolu and Kimu pick up the table and move it.
Kimu says, AH! THANKS!
IT'S SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAY.
I THOUGHT EVERYONE WOULD
LIKE TO SIT OUTSIDE.
SO I NEED TO TAKE OUT
ALL THE TABLES AND CHAIRS.
Momolu says, WOW. YOU DEFINITELY
WON'T BE ABLE TO DO IT ON
YOUR OWN.
I'LL GIVE YOU A HELPING PAW!
Kimu says, OH, I COULDN'T ASK
YOU TO DO ALL THAT.
Momolu says, IT'S OKAY.
I LOVE HELPING!
Kimu says, YOU'RE SO KIND, MOMOLU!
[Bright music plays, panting, thud, dragging]
Kimu says, HMM. ON SECOND
THOUGHT, MAYBE IT'S TOO HOT
FOR ANYONE TO SIT OUT HERE.
Momolu says, YOU'RE RIGHT.
I GUESS WE SHOULD MOVE
THEM BACK.
Kimu says, YOU DON'T MIND?
Momolu says, HAPPY TO HELP.
I BETTER GET TO THE SAND DUNES.
I'M GOING TO BUILD THE BIGGEST
SANDCASTLE EVER!
Kimu says, THAT SOUNDS LIKE
FUN. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
[Upbeat music plays, Momolu hums, footsteps crunch sand]
Momolu puts a blue pail and orange shovel on the sand. He looks at a drawing of a sandcastle.
[Rustling, drum roll plays, sand scrunches]
Momolu says, LOVELY DAY,
ISN'T IT, HIKO?
Hiko says, YES!
PERFECT FOR PAINTING MY WINDOWS
AND DOOR.
Momolu says, OH! I PROMISED
THAT I WOULD HELP YOU.
Hiku says, DON'T WORRY, MOMOLU.
I CAN SEE YOU ARE BUSY.
BUT I DON'T THINK BANNI OR
NOONI WILL BE ABLE TO HELP
ME GET THE HIGH SPOTS.
Momolu says, NO, NO.
A PROMISE IS A PROMISE.
I'LL HELP YOU.
Hiko says, IF YOU ARE SURE.
THAT WOULD BE SO NICE.
[Humming]
Hiko, Momolu, and Nooni paint a door and wall as Banni hops up behind them.
Banni asks, HI, MOMOLU.
HOW IS THE SANDCASTLE?
Momolu says, WELL, I HAVEN'T
HAD A CHANCE TO BUILD IT YET.
BUT, HOPEFULLY SOON.
Nooni asks, IF YOU WANTED TO
BUILD A SANDCASTLE WHAT ARE
YOU DOING HERE?
Momolu says, WELL...
Hiko says, IT'S MY FAULT.
I NEEDED HELP REACHING
THE HIGH SPOTS.
Banni says, AND I NEEDED HELP
FEEDING THE BIRDIES.
Nooni says, AND KIMU TOLD ME
HE NEEDED YOU TO MOVE HIS
TABLES AND CHAIRS.
Banni says, MOMOLU.
YOU'RE HELPING EVERYBODY,
AND NOT DOING WHAT YOU WANT.
Momolu says, BUT I LIKE HELPING
MY FRIENDS.
Hiko says, AND WE LIKE HELPING
YOU. YOU HAVE TO GO
MAKE YOUR SANDCASTLE.
Nooni gives Momolu his pail and shovel.
[Whoosh]
Nooni says, RIGHT AWAY!
Banni says, YES! GO!
Momolu carries his pail as he walks away from Hiko’s house.
[Momolu hums happily]
Banni whispers, I WANT TO MAKE
A SURPRISE FOR MOMOLU!
Momolu says, ONE SCOOP, TWO
SCOOP, THREE SCOOP, FOUR!
[Sand rustles]
Banni says, MOMOLU IS ALWAYS
HELPING US. SO LET'S MAKE HIM
A MEDALLION, TO SHOW EVERYONE
HOW HELPFUL HE IS.
Banni shows Hiko and Nooni and drawing of a medallion.
Banni says, LIKE THIS!
WHEN WE SEE MOMOLU
WEARING IT, WE'LL KNOW HE
HAS SOMETHING HE WANTS TO DO.
[Trumpets flourish]
Hiko says, AND WE WON'T LET
HIM HELP US!
Banni says, YES!
Nooni declares, LET'S MAKE
A MEDALLION!
Bowls of ingredients, paper, scissors and glue appear on a green table.
[Gentle music plays, ticking as each item appears]
Banni says, WE START WITH
SALT DOUGH...
[Thud, water sloshes]
Banni continues, AND SOME
SHELLS FOR DECORATION.
AND MAKE SOME STRINGS
FOR THE CHAIN.
[Upbeat music plays, giggling]
Hiko cheers, WOO HOO!
[Giggling, cheering]
Momolu builds his sandcastle.
[Birds chirp, Momolu happily hums]
[Giggling]
Momolu says, HUH?
[Tiptoeing footsteps]
Momolu looks up from the sandcastle and sees Hiko, Nooni, Banni, and Kimu.
Momolu says, AH-HA!
Hiko, Nooni, Banni, and Kimu shout, SURPRISE!
Momolu says, I LOVE SURPRISES!
[Giggling, rustling]
Banni holds out the medallion on a blue ribbon.
Momolu says, OOH! WHAT'S THIS?!
Hiko says, YOU ARE A GREAT FRIEND
AND VERY HELPFUL.
Kimu says, BUT SOMETIMES YOU
HAVE TO DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO.
Banni says, WHEN YOU WEAR THIS,
WE WILL KNOW YOU HAVE PLANS
OF YOUR OWN.
Kimu says, AND YOU CAN ASK US
FOR HELP.
Momolu says, I LOVE IT!
I ACTUALLY NEED HELP...
[Giggles, suspenseful music plays]
Momolu says,,..TO FINISH THIS SANDCASTLE!
[Cheering, laughing]
