Nooni says, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!
Banni says, SUNSHINE EVERYWHERE!
Momolu says, EXCEPT OVER BY THE MOUNTAINS.
LOOK!
A RAINBOW!
A rainbow forms in front of snow-capped mountains.
Everyone says, OOH!
A smiling cloud floats over the animals.
The cloud says, WHAT'S EVERYONE LOOKING AT?
Momolu says, A RAINBOW, PIKKUMO!
Nooni says, OVER THERE!
The cloud, Pikkumo says, OH, WOW!
I WANT TO MAKE A RAINBOW LIKE
THE OTHER CLOUDS.
Momolu says, WHY DON'T YOU TRY?
WE'LL HELP YOU.
Nooni whispers, UH, MOMOLU?
HOW CAN WE HELP PIKKUMO
MAKE A RAINBOW?
WE'RE NOT CLOUDS.
Banni says, I KNOW.
WE CAN ENCOURAGE THEM.
The animals cheer, YEAH! GO, PIKKUMO!
YOU CAN IT!
RAINBOW! RAINBOW!
(Pikkumo grunts)
Lightning bolts flash under Pikkumo
Momolu asks, PIKKUMO, WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?
Pikkumo says, I DON'T KNOW THE COLOURS
OF THE RAINBOW.
Banni says, OOH.
I CAN HELP WITH THAT.
Banni draws on a notepad.
Banni sings, RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, BLUE,
GREEN AND PURPLE
MAKES A RAINBOW BRIGHT
Momolu says, THAT'S VERY HELPFUL,
BANNI.
OKAY PIKKUMO,
WHY DON'T YOU TRY AGAIN?
(Pikkumo grunts)
Pikkumo strains and changes colours, then starts to rain.
The animals sing, RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, BLUE
GREEN AND PURPLE
MAKES A RAINBOW BRIGHT.
Nooni says, HMM. MAYBE IF WE GIVE PIKKUMO
A LITTLE SQUEEZE?
Banni and Nooni hop onto Momolu’s shoulders.
The animals say, CLOUD HUG!
Pikkumo says, AH, THAT'S SO NICE.
BUT...
Pikkumo grunts, then says, I STILL CAN'T MAKE A RAINBOW
LIKE THE BIG CLOUDS.
A rainbow appears in front of mountains.
Pikkumo says, THEY'RE ALWAYS MAKING RAINBOWS
WITH THEIR RAIN.
HOW DO THEY DO IT?
Momolu says, LET'S GO AND ASK THEM!
Pikkumo says, I'VE NEVER TALKED
TO THE BIG CLOUDS BEFORE.
Momolu says, TALKING TO NEW FRIENDS
CAN BE HARD.
WHAT IF WE WENT TOGETHER?
WOULD THAT MAKE YOU FEEL
BRAVER, PIKKUMO?
Pikkumo says, YES, PLEASE!
LET'S GO!
The animals skip up a grassy hill.
They sing, A RAINBOW! A RAINBOW!
HOW'D YOU MAKE A RAINBOW?
WE'LL ASK THE BIG CLOUDS
IN THE SKY
Momolu says, WHOA!
The animals tumble down the hill into a patch of colorful flowers.
(Giggling)
Nooni says, OOH, I'D LOVE TO HAVE SOME
OF THESE FLOWERS FOR MY GARDEN.
Banni says, LET'S GATHER SOME SEEDS
TO PLANT LATER.
RED SEEDS, ORANGE SEEDS,
YELLOW SEEDS.
The animals skip up a hill. Pikkumo floats overhead.
The animals sing, A RAINBOW! A RAINBOW!
HOW'D YOU MAKE A RAINBOW?
WE'LL ASK THE BIG CLOUDS
IN THE SKY
Momolu and Banni stand in a field.
Banni asks, WHERE'S NOONI?
Nooni pops out of a bush of purple, blue and white flowers.
Nooni says, SURPRISE! HEY!
THESE FLOWERS WOULD
LOOK GREAT IN MY GARDEN TOO.
BLUE AND PURPLE SEEDS.
The animals skip up a hill.
The animals sing, A RAINBOW! A RAINBOW!
HOW'D YOU MAKE A RAINBOW?
WE'LL ASK THE BIG CLOUDS
IN THE SKY
A RAINBOW! A RAINBOW!
HOW'D YOU MAKE A RAINBOW?
WE'LL ASK SO PIKKUMO
CAN TRY
WE'LL MAKE A RAINBOW
IN THE SKY.
The animals stand beside a mountain. Pikkumo floats beside the mountain. Two large clouds float over the mountain.
Nooni says, GO TALK TO THEM,
PIKKUMO.
Momolu says, YOU CAN DO IT.
WE'LL BE RIGHT HERE.
Pikkumo says, OH, OKAY, I'LL TRY...
UM, EXCUSE ME, BIG CLOUDS?
Pikkumo floats up to the clouds. One cloud is white and the other is light blue.
The white cloud says, YES, LITTLE ONE?
Pikkumo asks, UM...
HOW DO YOU MAKE A RAINBOW?
The white cloud says, WHAT A GOOD QUESTION!
RAINBOWS APPEAR
WHEN A CLOUD RAINS A LOT,
BUT YOU HAVE TO GET IN JUST
THE RIGHT POSITION
SO THE SUN SHINES THROUGH
YOUR RAIN!
OH! LET ME SHOW YOU.
The white cloud rains. A rainbow appears under her.
Pikkumo says, OH!
LET ME TRY.
(Rumbling)
Pikkumo says, IT DIDN'T WORK.
The white cloud says, YOU DIDN'T RAIN ENOUGH,
LITTLE ONE.
MAYBE YOU'RE JUST TOO SMALL
TO MAKE ENOUGH RAIN
FOR A RAINBOW.
Pikkumo looks sad and says, AWW.
The white cloud says, THAT'S OKAY.
WHY DON'T YOU JOIN US?
WE CAN MAKE A RAINBOW
TOGETHER.
Pikkumo says, OH, THANK YOU, BIG CLOUDS!
The bog clouds and Pikkumo rain. A rainbow appears underneath them.
Pikkumo says, YAY!
RAINBOW!
I DID DO IT!
I MADE A RAINBOW!
The animals skip down the hill away from the mountain. Pikkumo floats overhead, bobbing and smiling.
The animals sing, A RAINBOW! A RAINBOW
HOW'D YOU MAKE A RAINBOW?
WE'LL ASK THE BIG CLOUDS
IN THE SKY.
(Pikkumo sighs)
Pikkumo says, I SURE WISH I COULD MAKE
A RAINBOW MYSELF, HERE AT HOME.
Nooni says, MAYBE YOU CAN,
NOW THAT YOU KNOW HOW.
Pikkumo says, OKAY, I'LL JUST GO OVER HERE
WITH THE SUN BEHIND ME AND...
A black bear waves. Pikkumo rains a bit.
Pikkumo says, LIKE THE BIG CLOUD SAID,
I'M NOT BIG ENOUGH YET.
BUT SOMEDAY I WILL BE!
Nooni says, HEY, BANNI, CAN YOU HELP ME
WITH THESE SEEDS FOR MY GARDEN?
Banni says, SURE.
Nooni and Banni sprinkle seeds on a grassy hill.
Nooni and Banni say, RED, ORANGE,
YELLOW, BLUE...
Momolu says, ROLY POLY PANDAS!
I KNOW WHAT TO DO!
YOU JUST WAIT HERE PIKKUMO,
WE'VE GOT A SURPRISE FOR YOU.
Momolu rakes a garden. Nooni sprinkles seeds in the garden.
Banni says, RED FIRST, THEN ORANGE,
YELLOW, THE GRASS CAN
BE THE GREEN.
THE SEEDS ARE PLANTED.
Nooni says, NOW ALL WE NEED IS WATER.
Momolu says, HEY, PIKKUMO!
Banni says, CAN YOU RAIN FOR US, PLEASE?
Pikkumo says, SURE. BUT IT'S NOT ENOUGH
TO MAKE A RAINBOW.
Momolu says,
DON'T BE SO SURE ABOUT THAT.
Nooni says, A LITTLE OVER HERE...
Pikkumo rains on the garden.
Nooni continues,
AND HERE...
AND HERE.
PERFECT.
Flowers grow in the garden which is rainbow shaped. A rainbow of flowers grows.
Pikkumo gasps and asks, IS THAT A RAINBOW MADE
OF FLOWERS?
Momolu says, YEP!
AND YOU MADE IT PIKKUMO!
Nooni says, IN MY GARDEN!
Pikkumo says, THAT'S SO NICE.
BUT WE MADE THIS RAINBOW
TOGETHER
AND THAT'S THE BEST WAY
TO DO ANYTHING.
CLOUD HUG!
Banni and Nooni hop onto Momolu’s shoulders. Banni hugs Pikkumo.
(Joyful music)
