Momolu raises the shelf.

Momolu says, GREAT! BANNI, CAN YOU ADD
THE GLUE, PLEASE?
Banni says, OF COURSE!
Banni hops over to Momolu and squirts white glue onto the wall near the shelf.
Kimu says, THIS IS GOING TO BE WONDERFUL!
IT'S JUST THE RIGHT PLACE
TO DISPLAY
MY BRAND-NEW SPECIAL
SMOOTHIE BOWL!
Kimu carries a pink bowl with a paw print on it.
Kimu continues, MY NANA MADE IT FOR ME ON
HER POTTERY WHEEL.
Momolu says, OHH!
Banni says, SO PRETTY!
Kimu says, SHE EVEN PAINTED IT IN MY MOST
FAVOURITE COLOUR, PINK!
Nooni bursts through the front door into Kimu’s house.
Nooni says, HI, MOMOLU!
Kimu says, WOAH!
Nooni bumps into Kimu. The bowl flies into the air in slow motion.
Kimu says slowly, NOOOOOO!
(Gasps)
The bowl break on the floor.
(Smashing)
Nooni says, OH NO! I'M SO SORRY!
IT WAS AN ACCIDENT.
I DIDN'T SEE YOU THERE!
Momolu says to Banni, HOLD THIS, PLEASE.
Banni holds the shelf up with her ears. Momolu approaches Nooni and Kimu.
Momolu says, OH DEAR.
YOU MUST BE SO UPSET.
WAIT HERE.
I'LL PICK UP THE PIECES.
(Banni grunts)
Banni balances the shelf with her ears. Momolu wears oven mitts as he picks up broken pieces of the bowl. Nooni sweeps.
Nooni says, I'M REALLY SORRY AGAIN.
ARE YOU OKAY?
(Kimu sighs)
Kimu says, THAT'S OKAY.
I SHOULD'VE LOOKED WHERE
I WAS GOING.
Nooni asks, WOULD IT HELP IF I GAVE YOU
MY VERY FAVOURITE BOWL?
Kimu asks, YOU WOULD DO THAT?
Banni says, YOU CAN HAVE MINE TOO!
Momolu says, AND MINE!
Kimu says, THAT IS SO NICE OF YOU ALL!
WOW!
Nooni says, THIS GIVES ME AN IDEA!
HI HO, GOTTA GO!
Nooni grabs a box and rushes to the door.
Kimu says, WAIT!
WHERE ARE YOU GOING?
Nooni says, IT'S A SURPRISE!
I'LL BE BACK IN A JIFFY WITH
SOMETHING TO MAKE YOU SMILE!
Nooni leaves Kimu’s house.
(Bright music)
Nooni speeds through a forest. She takes a grey bowl off a table outside a stone house and puts it in the box.
A map of an island shows trails leading between several houses. Red dots lead from one house to another as Nooni makes her way around the map.
She gets a blue bowl with yellow stars from Hiko, a yellow bowl from Huhu, a blue bowl off a yellow table, a brown bowl off a brown wooden desk, and then enters DJ Bass’ tent.
She and Pepe dance inside. Nooni dances with them, then puts green and red bowls into the box with the others before returning to Kimu’s house.
Nooni says, THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL BOWL
FROM EVERY ONE OF OUR FRIENDS
ON THE ISLAND!
SURPRISE!
Kimu says, OH NOONI!
THESE ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!
Momolu says, THE SHELF'S READY,
LET'S SEE HOW THESE
ALL LOOK TOGETHER!
Banni says, GREAT IDEA, MOMOLU!
Momolu passes bowls to Banni, who puts them on the shelf.
(Banni giggles)
(Kimu sighs)
Nooni says, KIMU? ARE YOU STILL FEELING
SAD?
Kimu says, A BIT...
Nooni says, OH.
I THOUGHT YOU WOULD LIKE
THESE BOWLS.
Kimu says, I DO AND YOU WERE SO SWEET
TO COLLECT THEM FOR ME, BUT...
Nooni asks, BUT WHAT?
Kimu says, MY BOWL WAS SPECIAL.
IT WAS A PRESENT FROM MY NANA
AND IT REMINDED ME OF HER.
NOW IT FEELS LIKE EVERYBODY HAS
THEIR SPECIAL BOWL HERE BUT ME.
Kimu walks through a set of blue shutter doors into his kitchen.
Nooni says, OH...
Kimu says, NO MATTER HOW MUCH I LOVE
THESE PRESENTS FROM EVERYBODY,

Kimu places a tray with broken pieces of his bowl on a table.
Nooni says, HMM...
IS THERE ANY WAY WE CAN
FIX KIMU'S BOWL LIKE NEW?
Momolu says, HMM. MH-HMM.
WE COULD GLUE IT BACK
TOGETHER, BUT...
IT WON'T EVER BE LIKE
NEW AGAIN.
SORRY.
Kimu says, THAT'S OKAY.
SOMETIMES BROKEN MEANS BROKEN.
Banni says, I HAVE AN IDEA!
SOMETIMES BROKEN CAN BE
BETTER! COME ON!
Banni takes the tray off the table. She, Momolu, and Nooni stand in a workshop wearing safety goggles. They stand behind a table with pieces of Kimu’s bowl on it.
Banni says, FIRST, WE CAREFULLY GLUE
OUR PIECES TOGETHER!
(Giggling)
The animals squirt glue onto pieces of the bowl and put them together.
Momolu says, EACH PIECE HAS TO FIT
PERFECTLY INTO ITS SPOT
FOR A CLEAN FINISH!
The bowl sits on the table. A black bear waves in a window behind the other animals.
Nooni says, says, NOW, TO DRY...
(Huffing and puffing)
The animals blow on the bowl.
Banni says, ONCE THE GLUE IS DRY,
WE CAN DO THE FUN PART -
KINTSUGI!
Momolu hands a paintbrush to Banni.
Banni says, JUST A TOUCH OF GOLD PAINT
OVER THE CRACKS!
Banni paints over the cracks in the bowl.
Banni says, LIKE, THAT...
Momolu and Nooni say, AH!
They paint over the cracks in the bowl.
Momolu says, WOO
Banni places the bowl on the table in Kimu’s house. All the animals including DJ Bass, Pepe, Hiko, and Huhu are in the house.
Banni says, TA-DAH!
(Huhu giggles excitedly)
Hiko says, WOW, IT'S FANTASTIC!
(Kimu gasps)
Kimu asks, WHAT DID YOU DO TO IT?
Banni says, KINTSUGI!
Hiko says, IT'S THAT ART FROM JAPAN WHERE
YOU FIX BROKEN THINGS
TO CELEBRATE THEM INSTEAD
OF THROWING THEM OUT, RIGHT?
Nooni says, YES!
Momolu says, JUST BECAUSE SOMETHING
ISN'T PERFECT
