Momolu narrates, WHAT TO DO ABOUT BABIES.
(Humming)
Momolu, Banni and DJ Bass walk along a meadow.
Momolu says, I LOVE GOING ON NATURE WALKS!
They walk into a forest.
Banni asks, WHAT WILL WE SEE?
DJ Bass says, AND WHAT WILL WE HEAR? OH, THE SWEET NOISE OF THE RUSTLING LEAVES, THE SINGING BIRDS, THE--
(High-pitched moaning in the distance)
Momolu says, HUH?
Banni asks, WHAT WAS THAT?
DJ Bass says, HUH, I DON'T KNOW, BUT I CAN'T WAIT TO FIND OUT!
Momolu says, LET'S GO!
Momolu runs through the forest, with the others following.
(Panting)
Momolu says, OH, OH!
They run into bushes. Momolu looks around.
(Sound of crying)
Momolu says, HMM...
DJ Bass says, OH?
Momolu says, IT SOUNDS LIKE A BIKE TIRE SQUEALING.
DJ Bass says, OR LIKE TWO BALLOONS BEING RUBBED TOGETHER.
Banni says, OR, IT SOUNDS LIKE BABY BEAVERS CRYING!
Under a wooden pavilion, Beko the beaver, chases two baby beavers. He grabs them and puts them in a wide cradle. The babies jump out again.
(Groaning)
(Babies crying)
Beko says, OH!
DJ Bass says, OH, IT SEEMS LIKE WE DON'T WANT TO SLEEP TODAY!
Beko says, STAY RIGHT THERE!
Momolu walks over.
Beko says, HELLO! THEY ALWAYS TAKE A NAP IN THE AFTERNOON... HEY! ...BUT TODAY THEY ARE JUST NOT FALLING ASLEEP! AND I HAVE TO GO GET WOOD FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE POND. I DON'T KNOW HOW I'LL DO IT IF THEY DON'T FALL ASLEEP.
Momolu looks at the others.
All say, MMM-HMM. UH-HUH!
Momolu says, HELPERS AT YOUR SERVICE!
Beko says, OH, NO, DON'T WORRY, I WILL FIND A WAY...
Momolu says, REALLY! WE'RE HAPPY TO HELP!
Beko says, OH, IN THAT CASE... THANK YOU! I'LL BE BACK AS SOON AS I CAN!
Beko runs off.
(Babies giggling)
The babies hop out of the cradle. Momolu and DJ Bass pick them up.
DJ Bass says, IT SHOULDN'T BE TOO HARD TO PUT THESE KITS TO SLEEP. RIGHT?
Banni says, IT'LL BE EASY. I ALREADY HAVE AN IDEA!
Banni hops onto a rock, holding a book.
Banni says, AHEM! ONCE UPON A TIME, THERE WERE TWO LITTLE BEAVERS WHO DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE A NAP. BUT THEN THEIR FRIENDS MOMOLU, DJ BASS AND BANNI ARRIVED AND... HMM?
(Babies whining)
Banni says, THEY DON'T SEEM TO LIKE MY STORY.
DJ Bass says, DON'T WORRY, I HAVE ANOTHER IDEA.
(Music playing)
DJ Bass singing, ROCK-A-BYE BEAVERS, IF YOU WOULD PLEASE, JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES--
(Crying)
One baby puts its paw over DJ Bass’ mouth.
Momolu walks over, wearing a skirt made of leaves.
Momolu says, MAYBE THE SOUND OF MY WHOOSHING SKIRT...
(Humming)
Momolu shakes the skirt and dances.
(Jingling)
The babies stare. They rush over and grab at the skirt.
Beko walks back, carrying logs.
Beko asks, NO LUCK?
Banni says, WE TRIED EVERYTHING, BUT NOTHING WORKED.
They put the babies back in the cradle.
Beko says, THEY'RE A PAWFUL ALRIGHT. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. I'LL TAKE OVER NOW.
Banni asks, ARE YOU SURE YOU'LL BE OKAY?
Beko says, I'LL BE FINE.
It begins to rain.
(Rain pattering)
Momolu says, HMM.
Banni says, HUH?
Momolu asks, DO YOU MIND IF WE WAIT HERE UNTIL THE RAIN STOPS?
Beko says, BE MY GUESTS!
(Gasping)
Banni says, OH...! DO YOU HEAR THAT?
Momolu says, THE RAIN?
DJ Bass says, OH! THE KITS STOPPED CRYING!
The babies are asleep.
(Snoring)
Everyone high fives.
(Giggling)
The rain stops and Momolu and the others start to tiptoe away.
(Babies crying)
Banni says, OH, NO!
DJ Bass says, OH! I KNOW WHY THE KITS WERE SLEEPING!
Momolu asks, HUH?
DJ Bass says, THE SOUND OF THE RAIN PUT THEM TO SLEEP. THE MOMENT IT STOPPED RAINING, THEY WOKE UP!
Momolu says, ROLY POLY PANDAS! LET'S MAKE A RAINSTICK. THAT WAY BEKO CAN ALWAYS HAVE THE SOUND OF THE RAIN.
Beko says, THAT WOULD BE AMAZING!
(Babies crying)
Momolu, DJ Bass and Banni walk away.
(Music playing)
They sit at a craft table.
Momolu says, WE HAVE EVERYTHING WE NEED! AH!
Momolu picks up a large tube and puts glue on the ends.
(Giggling)
DJ Bass slides paper inside the tube.
DJ Bass says, AH!
Momolu says, AND NOW, SOME RICE!
Momolu adds uncooked rice to the tube. Banni puts a lid on the tube and glues it shut.
(Giggling)
Momolu shakes the tube.
(Rain stick tinkling)
(Banni giggles)
Momolu says, IT SOUNDS JUST LIKE RAIN!
Banni says, LET'S HOPE THE BABY BEAVERS LIKE IT!
DJ Bass says, THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT... LET'S GO!
They hurry away.
(Music playing)
(Baby beavers whining)
Beko puts the babies back in the cradle.
Momolu says, THE SOUND FROM THIS RAINSTICK SHOULD PUT THEM TO SLEEP!
Beko says THAT'S SUPPOSED TO SOUND LIKE RAIN? IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE RAIN...
(DJ Bass laughing)
DJ Bass shakes the rain stick by the babies.
Beko says, SHHH... SHHH... OH!
The babies quiet and close their eyes.
Beko whispers, THAT RAINSTICK IS PERFECT. THANK YOU! OH!
He steps on a stick.
(Cracking)
Beko says, OH NO...
The babies open their eyes.
(Crying)
DJ Bass says, OH, NO!
DJ Bass shakes the rain stick.
(Chuckling)
DJ Bass says, SHHH...
The babies go back to sleep.
Momolu says, OH!
Banni says, OKAY, BEKO. JUST USE THIS STICK WHENEVER...
(Snoring)
Beko is asleep on the ground.
DJ Bass says, HUH?
Momolu says, NOW, WE HAVE THREE NAPPING BEAVERS TO TAKE CARE OF!
(Giggling softly)
