[Playful music plays]

Animals cheer, YEAH! AH-HA!

[Laughing, chirping]

Text reads, “TVOkids Presents Momolu and Friends.” Momolu; Nooni; Banni; Huhu; Hiku, a black and white badger; and DJ Bass gather under the text.

Animals cheer, YAY!

A voice says, BOUNCING BABY BEAVERS.

Hiko walks on grass by a path.

Hiko sings, OH WHAT WILL I SEE,
ALL AROUND ME?

[Giggling, laughing, squeaking]

Hiko says, WHOA! CAREFUL!

A beaver kit runs past Hiko. Beko pushes a double stroller as he chases the kit. Another kit rides in the stroller.

Beko says, SORRY ABOUT THAT, HIKO!

Hiko says, OUT FOR A STROLL
WITH THE KITS?

[Giggling, cheerful music plays]

Beko says, OH, KIND OF.

I'M TAKING THEM ON THE FERRY
TO KIKA ISLAND. THERE'S A BOOK
I MUST GET TODAY.

Hiko says, A BOOK? THAT'S EXCITING!

Beko says, OH, BUT I DON'T KNOW
HOW THE KITS WILL DO
ON THEIR FIRST FERRY RIDE.

[Kits giggle]

Hiko says, I'M SURE THEY'LL BE FINE.
THEY'RE SO SWEET AND DELIGHTFUL.
WAIT. WHY DON'T I WATCH THEM
WHILE YOU GO TO KIKA?

Beko says, OH, I DON'T KNOW.
I COULDN'T ASK YOU TO DO THAT.
TWO KITS ARE A LOT OF WORK.

[Sighs]

Hiko asks, HOW HARD CAN IT BE?
BESIDES, I HAVE A HOUSE
FULL OF BOOKS TO TELL ME
ANYTHING I DON'T KNOW.

Beko says, WELL, IF YOU'RE SURE.

[Kits giggle]

Beko says, BYE-BYE, BABIES!
BE GOOD FOR HIKO.

Later, Hiko pushes the stroller into his house.

[Squeaking, door opens]

Hiko says, WELCOME TO MY HOME!

[Chuckles]

Hiko says, OH! YOU'RE HAPPY TO BE HERE!
MAKE YOURSELVES COMFORTABLE.

A dark brown kit jumps on a rocking chair.

[Boinging]

Hiko says, HUH? CAREFUL!
BATA? WHERE ARE YOU?
HOW COULD I HAVE LOST A KIT?

Bata, a brown kit, peeks from behind a blue sofa.

[Slide whistle, giggling]

Hiko says, OH! YOU'RE SO SILLY!

AS I WAS SAYING, LET'S START
WITH A STORY. WON'T THAT
BE FUN? HMM.

THERE'S THIS ONE FAIRY TALE THAT
IS QUITE DELIGHTFUL.

[Rustling, gasps]

Hiko says, NO, NO, NO!
GET DOWN!

Bata runs with a lampshade on their head.

[Crash, exciting music plays, clunk]

Hiko says, CAREFUL WITH THAT!
LAMPSHADES BELONG ON LAMPS.

OH! NOT. MY. BOOKS!

Books fall off a shelf.

[Clunk]

Hiko screams, AH!

Momolu stands outside. He hides a large strawberry behind his back.

[Knock on door]

Hiko says, HI, MOMOLU!

Momolu says, HI, HIKO! LOOK AT THIS!
COOL HUH?

[Kits giggle, chewing]

Momolu says, HUH? OH. OH!
WATCHING THE KITS, I SEE.

[Hiko sighs]

Hiko says, I PROMISED I WOULD
TAKE CARE OF BEKO'S KIT,
AND THAT'S WHAT I'M GOING TO DO.
BUT THEY'RE GOING TO DESTROY
MY HOUSE.

I KNOW! I'LL TAKE THEM OUTSIDE
FOR SOME EXERCISE!

[Momolu chuckles]

Momolu says, IT LOOKS LIKE THEY
NEED IT.

[Thump, whoosh]

Hiko says, CATCH!

Hiko throws the ball to Bata. They smack it with their tail and it flies over Hiko’s head.

[Slide whistle]

Hiko says, OH MY!

Hiko walks towards the ball. The kits high five and run away.

[Kits giggle, smack, cheerful music plays]

Nooni asks, IS THIS YOURS?

Hiko says, YES! THANKS, NOONI.
I WAS HAVING A LOVELY
GAME OF CATCH WITH THE KITS.

Nooni asks, REALLY?

Momolu strains as he tries to pull Bata out of a tree.

Hiko says, HUH?
THEY'RE VERY ACTIVE.

Nooni says, I CAN HELP MOMOLU
WITH BATA WHILE YOU FIND BETI.

Hiko says, WHAT? BETI'S RIGHT OVER--
OH! BETI! BETI!

(♪♪)

Hiko says, HA! HUH...OH!

Hiko notices Beti’s tail sticking out of a bush.

[Rustling, gasp, giggling, slide whistle]

Beti runs away from Hiko.

Hiko says, COME BACK!

[Giggling, gasp]

Momolu picks up Bata.

Momolu says, HUH, WHERE'S THE SECOND ONE?

[Giggling, bell rings, slide whistle]

Beti peeks out of a bicycle basket.

Momolu says, NOW'S NOT THE TIME FOR A RIDE!
WHAT DO THE TWO OF YOU
WANT TO--

[Gasp]

Bata stands with the ball in their mouth. Nooni slowly approaches Bata.

Nooni says, COME HERE. HUH...

[Whoosh, gasp, rustling, slide whistle, exciting music plays]

Nooni asks, SO YOU THINK
YOU CAN OUTRUN ME, EH?

Bata throws the ball and Nooni catches it. Bata bounces away.

[Slide whistle, boinging]

Nooni says, GOT IT!
HUH? AWW...

Inside the house, Hiko searches through the books on his bookcase.

[Thunking]

Hiko says, I MUST HAVE ONE BOOK
THAT WILL TELL ME HOW TO TAKE
CARE OF THESE KITS.

HOW TO SAFELY JUMP ON
A TRAMPOLINE.

ONE HUNDRED THINGS TO DO
WITH GRAPES.

HOW TO BUILD A FENCE.

[Gasp]

Hiko says, YES!

Outside, Beti rests on top of Momolu’s head. Nooni holds Bata. Hiko stands between them.

[Energetic music plays]

Nooni says, A FENCE IS A GOOD IDEA,
BUT THEY'LL ONLY CLIMB OVER IT.
THEY SEEM TO WANT TWIGS.

Momolu says, THEY ALSO LIKE THE
SCOOTER HORN AND THE TENNIS BALL.

Hiko says, I JUST WANT THEM
TO STAY IN ONE PLACE!
IS THAT SO HARD?

[Gasp]

Momolu says, ROLY POLY PANDAS!
WE CAN MAKE A PLAY WALL
WITH ALL THE THINGS THEY LIKE.
THAT WAY, THEY'LL WANT TO STAY
IN ONE SPOT!

Hiko says, THAT'S A GREAT IDEA!
I HOPE IT WORKS.

Later, Nooni chases Beti and Bata.

[Kits giggle, upbeat music plasy]

Nooni says, HEY COME BACK HERE!

Momolu and Hiko push two wooden poles into the ground. A string hangs between them.

Momolu says, THIS IS A GOOD START FOR
OUR PLAY WALL.

Hiko agrees, MM-HMM.

Momolu hangs bull rushes from the string.

Momolu says, UH-HUH, SOMETHING
TO BAT AROUND!

[Clonking, rustling]

Hiko says, SOMETHING TO CHEW ON!

Hiko hangs sticks from the string. Momolu holds a bell.

Momolu says, SOME FUNNY SOUNDS.

[Bell dings, Momolu laughs]

Hiko says, SOMETHING TO BOUNCE.

[Boinging]

The kits play with their play wall.

[Giggling]

Hiko says, WHEW! THANKS SO MUCH FOR
HELPING ME! THIS PLAY WALL IS
JUST WHAT THEY NEEDED.

Momolu says, MOMOLU AND
NOONI AT YOUR SERVICE!

Beko says, WOW, HIKO!
THE KITS CAN BE QUITE
THE PAWFUL, BUT YOU KNEW
JUST WHAT TO DO.

Hiko says, IT WAS NOTHING AT ALL.

Beko asks, COULD I BORROW
THE PLAY WALL ONCE IN A WHILE?
IT SURE WOULD HELP ME.

Hiko says, OF COURSE!
OH, DID YOU GET THE BOOK
YOU WERE LOOKING FOR?

Beko says, MM-HMM, IT'S A BOOK
ABOUT TAKING CARE OF KITS.

[Hiko giggles, thunk]

Hiko says, I MIGHT JUST NEED
TO BORROW THAT WHEN YOU'RE
FINISHED READING IT.

The kits run to Beko and he picks them up.

[Giggling]
