A narrator says, ROCK SNAKE.
Momolu and Nooni are in yard, stacking rocks.
Momolu says, HEY, CHECK IT OUT, NOONI! THIS ROCK LOOKS LIKE A FISH. AND THIS ONE LOOKS LIKE A BUTTERFLY! FLUTTER, FLUTTER, FLUTTER.
(Giggling)
Nooni says, THAT'S A FUNNY ROCK BUTTERFLY. AH! MOMOLU, LOOK AT THIS ROCK!
A round rock has two marks on it like eyes.
Momolu says, OHHH!
Nooni says, IT LOOKS LIKE IT HAS EYES!
Momolu says, YOU'RE RIGHT. A ROCK WITH EYES... HOW COOL IS THAT?
Nooni puts rocks in a line.
Nooni humming, DO-DO-DO...
Nooni says, THERE, HERE, THERE...
Momolu says, YOU KNOW, THIS IS STARTING TO LOOK LIKE A SNAKE!
Nooni says, A ROCK SNAKE! YEAH! LET'S SEE HOW LONG WE CAN MAKE OUR ROCK SNAKE.
(Laughing)
Momolu and Nooni pick up rocks.
(Grunting)
They arrange the rocks in a long line.
Momolu says, AND ONE THERE...
Nooni says, HERE...
Momolu says, UH-HUH.
Nooni says, THERE...
Momolu says, OH!
Nooni says, HERE.
Momolu says, AND ONE THERE, OVER HERE!
They continue the line of rocks over sandy ground. Banni stands nearby, playing with a hula hoop.
Banni says, WHOA! HI! WHATCHA DOIN'?
Nooni says, HI, BANNI! WE'RE MAKING A ROCK SNAKE!
Banni asks, OOOH... COULD I HELP?
Both say, SURE!
Banni picks up a rock and adds it to the line.
Banni says, UH-HUH... UH-HUH. YEP. OOH!
Banni hops around, picking up rocks.
They continue adding onto the rock snake and make their way into a forest. Huhu perches on a branch, wearing a red mask and cape.
Huhu says, WHOO! WHOO! I'M HUHU THE SUPER-OWL!
Nooni says, WE'RE MAKING A ROCK SNAKE, HUHU THE SUPER-OWL.
Huhu says, WHOO! WHOO! OH... CAN I JOIN YOU?
Nooni says, OF COURSE!
Huhu flies down to the ground and picks up some rocks.
Huhu says, OH? UH-HUH. UH-HUH...
(All grunting)
They all add rocks to the line.
(Giggling)
The rock snake reaches a green meadow.
Nooni says, HERE... HERE... THERE!
Huhu cries, WHOO! HAHA! ALRIGHT!
Nooni says, THERE...
The rock snake reaches another forest.
Huhu says, UH-OH, THE SUN IS SETTING. I'D BETTER GET BACK TO THE BARN AND START MY SUPER-OWL WHOO-WHOOS! DON'T STAY OUT TOO LATE!
Momolu says, OKAY, HUHU. BYE!
Huhu flies away.
Momolu says, I GUESS IT IS TIME TO GO HOME. ARE YOU COMING, NOONI?
Nooni says, UH, SOON. I JUST WANT TO MAKE IT A LITTLE LONGER. MAYBE I CAN MAKE IT AS LONG AS ITA ISLAND!
Banni says, OKAY... BUT, IT'S GETTING LATE AND I KNOW YOU DON'T LIKE THE DARK.
Nooni says, I'LL BE HOME BEFORE IT GETS DARK.
Momolu says, OOH! GREAT! THEN WE CAN STARGAZE TOGETHER. SEE YOU BACK AT MY HOUSE.
Nooni turns to pick up more rocks.
Nooni says, UH-HUH. THERE! HERE!
Momolu and Banni walk away.
Nooni says, THERE! DOO, DO, DO... OOH! ONE THERE! ONE HERE! THERE, HERE...
Nooni continues adding more rocks.
Nooni singing, DOO, DO, DO, DO DO, DO, DEE-DOO DO, DO, DO DO, DEE-DEE, DO, DEE, DOOO...
Nooni continues the rock snake up a hill. The sky turns yellow.
Nooni says, HERE, THERE! HUH?! OOOH, SUCH PRETTY SKY COLOURS. OOOH, THIS LOOKS GOOD! THERE... ONE HERE!
Nooni keeps adding more rocks.
Nooni singing, DO, DO, DOOO... DO... DO, DO DEW, DO...
It is evening. Nooni puts more rocks down in the line.
(Crickets chirping)
Nooni says, OH! I CAN BARELY SEE THIS ROCK. HUH? IT'S SO DARK! WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN? I DON'T LIKE BEING ALONE IN THE DARK. WHERE AM I?
Momolu and Nooni stand in Momolu’s front yard next to a lantern.
Nooni says, MAYBE WE SHOULD GO AND LOOK FOR HER...
Momolu says, GOOD IDEA. THIS LANTERN WILL HELP US FIND HER FASTER.
Nooni asks, HOW WILL WE KNOW WHERE TO LOOK FOR HER? SHE COULD BE ANYWHERE BY NOW, BUILDING HER ROCK SNAKE.
Momolu says, ROLY POLY PANDAS! I KNOW HOW! COME ON!
Nooni walks through the dark forest.
Nooni says, ALL RIGHT, NOONI, JUST CALM DOWN. THERE'S NOTHING S-SCARY ABOUT THE DARK. RRRR-RIGHT? HUH?! HMM?
(Rustling)
A small purple bat flies over.
Nooni says, OOOH...
The bat says, HI, I'M OOMI! WHO ARE YOU?
Nooni says, UH, HI, OOMI... I'M NOONI.
Oomi hovers above Nooni.
Oomi says, HI, NOONI. I COULDN'T HELP BUT HEAR YOU TALKING TO YOURSELF. WHAT'S WRONG?
Nooni says, I GOT SO CAUGHT UP WITH MY ROCKS THAT I DIDN'T GO HOME BEFORE IT GOT DARK, EVEN THOUGH MY FRIENDS TOLD ME TO, AND NOW... I'M LOST AND SCARED OF THE DARK.
Oomi says, I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. I DON'T ALWAYS GO HOME WHEN MY BAT FRIENDS DO. I EVEN GOT LOST ONCE! IMAGINE ME, A BAT, GETTING LOST!
Nooni says, REALLY? HOW DID YOU GET HOME?
Oomi says, WELL, WE BATS FOLLOW A SPECIAL SOUND. LIKE THIS...
Oomi flies around Nooni.
Nooni says, I CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING!
Oomi says, OH!
(Chuckling)
Oomi says, THAT'S RIGHT. ONLY BATS CAN HEAR IT.
Nooni says, IF ONLY THERE WAS SOMETHING I COULD FOLLOW TO LEAD ME BACK HOME.
Nooni looks at the line of rocks.
(Gasps)
Nooni cries, MY ROCK SNAKE!
Oomi asks, A SNAKE?
Nooni says, OH NO! IT'S NOT A REAL SNAKE. IT'S A LONG LINE OF ROCKS THAT JUST LOOKS LIKE A SNAKE. WE STARTED IT AT MY PLACE. SO, IF WE FOLLOW IT...
Oomi says, IT SHOULD LEAD YOU BACK HOME. LET'S GO!
(Music playing)
Nooni runs alongside the rock snake with Oomi following from the air.
Momolu and Banni call, NOONI! NOONI!
(Gasps)
Nooni calls, I'M OVER HERE!
(Panting)
Nooni runs to Momolu and Banni. Momolu carries the lantern.
Nooni says, MOMOLU, BANNI, MEET MY NEW FRIEND OOMI!
Momolu says, HI, OOMI!
Banni says, PLEASED TO MEET YA.
Oomi says, HI!
Nooni says, OOMI HELPED CALM ME DOWN WHEN I WAS LOST AND SCARED. I SHOULD HAVE GONE HOME WHEN YOU SAID IT WAS GETTING DARK.
Momolu says, YOU WERE JUST EXCITED ABOUT YOUR ROCK SNAKE.
Nooni says, IT'S A PRETTY GOOD ROCK SNAKE. IS THERE STILL TIME TO STARGAZE?
Momolu says, OF COURSE!
Nooni says, OOMI, WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN US?
Oomi says, YES, PLEASE!
Everyone turns and begins following the rock snake back.
Nooni asks, SAY... HOW DID YOU FIND ME ANYWAY?
All cry, FOLLOW THE ROCK SNAKE!
(Giggling)
