Hiko looks at boxes in Momolu’s outdoor workshop. Momolu carries pink kite over.
Momolu asks, WOULD THIS DO FOR YOUR KITE FLYING TODAY, HIKO?
Hiko says, HUH? OH, YES! IT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL FLY VERY HIGH! THANKS, MOMOLU! HMM?
Hiko rummages in a box and takes out a camera.
Hiko says, AH!
Momolu says, LOOK AT THAT!
Hiko says, IT'S AN INSTANT CAMERA!
Momolu takes the camera and presses it several times. Pictures drop from the camera.
(Whirring)
Momolu says, HUH? HUH? HUH? AWW, IT MUST BE BROKEN. THE PICTURES ARE ALL BLACK.
(Laughing)
Hiko says, AH! THAT'S AN EASY FIX. THE LENS CAP IS STILL ON. THAT SHOULD WORK BETTER NOW. OH, DEAR! THERE'S ONLY ONE PHOTO LEFT.
Momolu says, WHY DON'T YOU TAKE THE LAST PHOTO? SINCE YOU KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT CAMERAS, YOU MIGHT ENJOY IT.
Hiko says, OH, HOW ABOUT I TAKE A PHOTO FOR YOU? WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE?
Momolu says, HMM... I DON'T KNOW... SURPRISE ME!
(Music playing)
Hiko walks along a path.
Hiko says, ONE SURPRISING PHOTO FOR MOMOLU COMING RIGHT UP! GRASS! HMM, NOT SURPRISING. LEAVES? NOT SURPRISING. BLUE SKY!
(Sighing)
Hiko says, UGH. NO. HMM...
Hiko keeps walking.
Hiko says, OOH...
A pink frog sits on a rock.
(Ribbiting)
Hiko says, A FROG COULD BE SURPRISING! STAY STILL... DON'T MOVE...
Nooni, Banni and Kimu pop in next to Hiko.
Nooni says, HI, HIKO! WHAT'CHA DOING?
Hiko says, HUH?
The frog hops onto Hiko head.
(Boinging sound)
(Ribbiting)
(Gasping)
Hiko waves his arms and loses his balance. He drops the camera.
Hiko says, HEY! OH! THE CAMERA!
Kimu catches it.
Kimu says, GOT IT!
Hiko says, PHEW! THANK YOU. I'M TRYING TO TAKE A PHOTO FOR MOMOLU. HE SAID TO SURPRISE HIM. BUT I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT HE'D LIKE. AND THERE'S ONLY ENOUGH FILM FOR ONE PHOTO.
Banni says, MOMOLU LIKES LOTS OF THINGS! BAMBOO... TUMBLES...
Kimu says, SMOOTHIES...
Nooni says, BUILDING THINGS...
Hiko says, WHAT'S MORE SURPRISING THAN ALL OF MOMOLU'S FAVOURITE THINGS WITH HIM IN IT?!
Banni says, OH, YES! CAN WE HELP?
Hiko says, OF COURSE! LET'S GO!
Momolu walks out of his house.
(Humming)
Hiko peeks out from a bush.
Hiko says, WE'LL TAKE THE PICTURE IN FRONT OF THE WORKSHOP! BUT WE NEED TO COLLECT HIS FAVOURITE THINGS.
Nooni whispers, I'LL GET THE BAMBOO!
Nooni hides behind a door while Momolu works in the front yard.
Hiko whispers, NOW!
Momolu walks away and Nooni grabs an armful of bamboo sticks.
(Grunting)
(Cheering, gasping in panic)
Nooni hides behind the bamboo as walks by.
(Gasping)
(Moaning)
Momolu walks inside the house and shuts the door. Nooni grabs the bamboo and runs back to the bush.
Hiko, Banni and Kimu cry, YEAH!
Kimu says, I'LL GET SOME STRING LIGHTS TO DECORATE THE WORKSHOP. MOMOLU LOVES SPARKLY LIGHTS!
Banni whispers, GOOD IDEA! THAT'LL BE A NICE SURPRISE!
Kimu runs to Momolu’s garage.
(Giggling)
The others wave as Kimu runs back out carrying a box of lights.
(Giggling)
Momolu opens his front door.
(Momolu humming)
Kimu backs up into the garage. Momolu walks into the garage and Kimu hides in a corner. Kimu sneaks out and runs.
Banni whispers, GREAT JOB. NOW I JUST HAVE TO GET TUMBLES.
Banni hops into the house.
(Momolu hums)
Momolu walks back into the house.
The others cry, OH NO! HUH?
They duck behind the bush as Momolu rides a scooter out of the house. He rides away. Banni walks outside, carrying a toy octopus.
(Gasping)
(Banni giggles)
Hiko says, GREAT JOB, EVERYONE! NOW LET'S SET UP THE PHOTO!
Kimu decorates the workshop with lights.
Hiko says, BEAUTIFUL! PUT A FEW AROUND THE TOP, PLEASE!
Nooni arranges the bamboo.
Hiko says, LOVELY! A LITTLE TO THE LEFT?
Nooni says, YOU GOT IT!
Hiko says, MAYBE ON THE SHELF? NO... MAYBE UNDER THE WORKBENCH?
Nooni moves bamboo around.
Banni says, UH-HUH... HOW ABOUT NEAR THE TOOLBOX?
Banni puts the octopus on the toolbox.
Hiko says, BRILLIANT! WE HAVE EVERYTHING READY FOR THE PHOTO. I HOPE HE'S SURPRISED!
All say, YAY!
They high five.
Kimu says, NOW ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS GET MOMOLU INTO THE SHOT.
(Momolu humming)
Momolu rides his scooter to the workshop.
All say, HI, MOMOLU!
Hiko ducks behind boxes.
Momolu says, HI, EVERYONE! DID YOU COME TO VISIT?
Momolu takes off his helmet.
Nooni says, LET ME HELP YOU WITH THIS.
Momolu says, OH! THANK YOU!
Hiko peeks out and lifts the camera.
(Hiko chuckling)
Hiko says softly, CLOSER... MM-HMM. CLOSER...
Momolu says ,LET ME GET YOU SOME LEMONADE! WHO'S THIRSTY?
Kimu says, WE'D LOVE SOME LEMONADE! BUT FIRST, WE WERE HOPING YOU COULD SHOW US HOW TO... UM, HOW TO USE...
Banni says, A RULER! FOR OUR PROJECT!
Nooni says, UM, YEAH. MAYBE THE ONE ON YOUR WORKBENCH OVER THERE?
Momolu says, OH, OKAY. OOOHHH!
Hiko mutters, YES! GO TOWARDS THE BAMBOO! OH NO!!
Momolu says, OH, BAMBOO!
Momolu eats a bamboo stick.
(Crunching)
Momolu says, MMM. DE-LISH. WHAT WERE YOU SAYING? RIGHT! LEMONADE! THIS WAY...
Nooni says, YOU WERE GOING TO SHOW US THE RULER!
Momolu looks at the toy octopus.
Momolu says, HUH? TUMBLES? HOW DID YOU GET OUT HERE? BE RIGHT BACK!
Momolu picks up Tumbles and walks away.
Hiko says, ARGH! THIS IS GOING ALL WRONG!
Banni says, IT'S OKAY! WE CAN DO THE PHOTO WITHOUT TUMBLES!
Kimu says, HE'S COMING!
Momolu walks out of the house. Nooni jumps in front of him.
Nooni says, UH... LET'S DANCE.
(Humming)
(All laughing)
Hiko whispers, C'MON... C'MON...
Momolu says, OH! SORRY, EVERYONE. I REALLY SHOULDN'T LEAVE MY BAMBOO OUT HERE IN MY WORKSHOP.
Momolu carries the bamboo away.
Hiko says, THIS ISN'T WORKING. THERE'S HARDLY ANYTHING LEFT IN THE SHOT. TALK ABOUT NOT SURPRISING. LET'S JUST FORGET IT...
Hiko turns away.
Momolu walks back, carrying a tray with glasses on it.
(Momolu giggles)
Momolu says, I ALMOST FORGOT THE LEMONADE!
Momolu looks at Hiko.
Momolu asks, OH! DID YOU MANAGE TO TAKE A PHOTO?
Hiko says, HMPH.
Hiko trips over one of the lights. He crashes into Momolu and the camera flies into the air.
(Crashing)
Hiko cries, OH, NO! OH, NO!
The camera lands on top of a stack of books. It flashes.
(Camera clicking and whirring)
A picture slides out of the camera. It shows everyone reacting as Hiko and Momolu crash into each other and a glass of lemonade falls.
(All gasping)
Momolu says, THAT IS... THE BEST PHOTO I'VE EVER SEEN!
Hiko says, YOU... REALLY THINK SO?
Momolu says, I LOVE IT!! IT'S FUN, FUNNY AND SURPRISING! YOU DID GREAT, HIKO!
Hiko and Momolu hug.
Hiko says, WHO KNEW THAT NOT PLANNING WAS THE BEST PLAN OF ALL!
(All laughing)
(Joyful music)
