Transcript: Follow the Yarn
[Playful music plays]
[Kids cheering]
In a forest, Nooni and Momolu hold red yarn. Huhu flies above them. A title reads, Momolu Minis. An episode title reads, “Follow The Yarn.”
[Soft music plays]
An animal friend says, I HOPE THAT WHOEVER DROPPED THIS
YARN IS HAPPY WHEN WE RETURN IT.
Nooni and Momolu follow a line of red yarn through a forest. Nooni gathers the yarn in a ball as Momolu picks it up.
Momolu starts to say, WELL, I WOULD BE IF I –
Huhu flies over to Momolu and Nooni.
She says, HI, MOMOLU.
She lands on a tree branch.
She says, HI, NOONI.
Momolu says, HI, HUHU.
Huhu asks, WHAT ARE YOU TWO
UP TO?
Momolu says, JUST TRYING TO FIND OUT
WHO THIS YARN BELONGS TO.
Nooni asks, IS IT YOURS?
Huhu says, YARN?
NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE.
BUT MAYBE I CAN HELP.
Momolu says, GREAT!
Nooni says, YEAH!
Huhu flies further into the forest.
Momolu says, YOU CAN LEAD THE WAY.
Nooni and Momolu quickly follow Huhu while gathering more of the yearn that’s wrapped around a tree.
[Nooni giggling]
Momolu says, LEAD THE WAY!
[Nooni giggling]
Momolu and Nooni follow Huhu into an opening in the forest. Yarn is wrapped around many of the trees. Huhu unwraps yarn from one of the trees.
She says, WHOO-WHOO-WHOO-WHOO!
The yard leads Nooni around a tree. She spins around the tree as she unwraps and gathers it into the ball.
Nooni says, WHOA!
[Noonie giggling]
[Momolu giggling]
Momolu follows the yarn up a tree to a birds nest on a branch. Three birds of different colours are in the nest.
[Birds chirping]
Momolu says, SORRY, BIRDS.
He lifts the bird’s nest and pulls the yarn off the branch then puts the nest back down.
[Birds chirping]
Momolu goes back down the tree. The sun rests low in the sky.
Nooni says, THIS YARN NEVER ENDS!
She carries the ball of yarn that is now the size of her.
Momolu says, WE BETTER HURRY,
BEFORE IT GETS DARK.
Nooni runs with the ball of yarn.
Huhu says, LET'S GO THEN.
Nooni says, I DON'T LIKE THE DARK!
She looks scared. Nooni glances back toward her friends, then bounces into a tree with the ball of yarn.
Nooni screams, AHH!
She falls and drops the yarn.
[Groaning]
Hiko walks out from behind a tree.
He says, OH, HI THERE.
Momolu and Huhu catch up to Nooni.
Momolu says, HIKO, WHAT ARE YOU DOING
IN THE FOREST?
Hiko says, I'VE LOST MY TRUMPET,
AND I THINK I MIGHT HAVE
FORGOTTEN T HERE SOMEWHERE.
Momolu says, WE'LL HELP YOU FIND IT.
Nooni says, HMM... HUH... OH.
The friends look around the forest. Hiko turns so his back is to Nooni.
Nooni says, WHERE IS IT?
Hiko’s trumpet is strapped to his back.
Nooni says, FOUND IT!
She points to Hiko.
Hiko says, HMM?
He turns back to Nooni.
[Nooni giggling]
Hilo says, HMM?
WHERE?
He turns in a circle.
[Nooni giggling]
Nooni says, IT'S STRAPPED TO YOUR BACK!
Hiko says, OH!
He pulls his trumpet off his back.
[Everyone laughing]
Hiko says, MYSTERY SOLVED!
NOW LET'S FOLLOW
THE YARN THAT I LEFT.
Huhu, Momolu and Nooni say, HUH?
Their eyes widen and they glance at the large ball of yarn.
Hilo says, OH.
[Crickets chirping]
Nooni looks worried. She looks up.
She says, OH NO!
The moon and stars fill the night sky.
Noon asks, HOW ARE WE GONNA GET BACK NOW?
Momolu looks thoughtful.
He says, I KNOW! HIKO, CAN YOU PASS ME
YOUR TRUMPET, PLEASE?
Hiko smiles and passes Momolu his trumpet.
Momolu says, HUHU KNOWS HOW TO FLY
OVER THE FOREST.
He hands Huhu Hiko’s trumpet.
Momolu says, IF SHE PLAYS THE TRUMPET,
WE CAN FOLLOW THE SOUND.
[Trumpeting]
Momolu says, HURRY, COME ON!
He runs through the forest with Nooni and Hiko. Outside Hiko’s house, Huhu blows into Hiko’s trumpet.
[Panting]
Momolu, Nooni and Hiko run up to Huhu. Huhu lowers the trumpet.
[Huhu sighing]
Huhu puts down the trumpet.
[Hiko chuckling]
Hiko says, THAT WAS EASY!
GREAT PLAN,
MOMOLU.
SO, WHO'S GOT MY YARN?
Huhu, Momolu and Nooni look around them.
Hiko says, HMM.
THAT'S OKAY,
WE CAN GO BACK FOR IT TOMORROW.
He turns toward the forest.
Huhu, Momolu and Nooni say, UH...
Huhu points away from Hiko. Momolu and Nooni follow her away from Hiko. Hiko looks back toward his friends.
Hiko says, RIGHT?
He turns around. His friends are gone.
He says, WHERE DID EVERYONE GO?
[Upbeat music plays]
