GIVE THE UNGROWDENIA
EVEN MORE WATER!
Donkey Hodie holds her watering can over the ungrowdenia again.
She counts, ONE, TWO, THREE,
FOUR, FIVE.
Water stops pouring from the watering can. Donkey Hodie shakes the can.
She says, I'M OUT OF WATER.
BETTER GO GET SOME MORE.
Donkey Hodie leaves the flower garden. The ungrowdenia’s stem grows further out of the dirt. Donkey Hodie wanders back through the garden with her watering can. The ungrowdenia flower has grown even bigger. Donkey Hodie gasps.
She says, HEE-HAWSOME!
I'VE NEVER SEEN
A FLOWER GROW THIS BIG.
I WONDER IF IT'LL GROW EVEN
BIGGER WITH MORE WATER?
Donkey Hodie holds up her watering can and pours more water on the flower.
She counts, ONE, TWO, THREE,
FOUR, FIVE, SIX.
The ungrowdenia stem grows further out of the dirt. Purple Panda walks through the garden carrying a sketch book. The ungrowdenia is taller than him.
Purple Panda says, WHOA!
Donkey Hodie says, I KNOW.
ISN'T IT HEE-HAW-MAZING?
Donkey Hodie looks amazed.
Purple Panda says, YEAH, IT SURE IS.
BUT, IS IT SUPPOSED
TO GET THAT BIG?
Donkey Hodie says, I DON'T KNOW,
BUT THIS UNGROWDENIA
IS THE BIGGEST,
MOST INCREDIBLE FLOWER
I'VE EVER GROWN!
Purple Panda says, YEAH, BUT MAYBE THAT'S
NOT SUCH A GOOD THING.
Donkey Hodie says, I'M GONNA WATER IT
AS MUCH AS I CAN
SO IT'LL GROW
AS BIG AS POSSIBLE.
Donkey Hodie pours water on the flower.
She counts, ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR,
FIVE, SIX, SEVEN.
The flower grows taller. Donkey Hodie and Purple Panda look up at the tall flower.

DRAW OUR FLOWER PALS,
I'M GONNA NEED
A BIGGER SKETCH PAD.
I'LL BE RIGHT BACK!
Purple Panda leaves with his sketch pad.
Donkey Hodie counts, SEVEN, EIGHT, NINE, TEN.
Donkey Hodie stops watering her flower. The ungrowdina flower grows and shakes the garden.
Donkey Hodie says, WHOA!
Donkey Hodie looks amazed. The flower is giant. It blocks the sun from reaching some of the other flowers in the garden.
Donkey Hodie says, HEE-HAW!
I'VE GROWN THE BIGGEST FLOWER
ANYONE HAS EVER SEEN!
(Distant sneeze)
Donkey Hodie looks up at the flower and asks, DID YOU JUST SNEEZE?
Clyde floats toward the flower garden. He sneezes.
Donkey Hodie says, OH!
BLESS YOU, CLYDE!
ARE YOU OKAY?
Clyde says, OH, I'M FINE, JUST…
Clyde sneezes.
He says, …SNEEZY.
I THINK
IT'S YOUR FLOWER.
I DON'T GET MANY FLOWERS
UP HERE IN THE SKY.
Donkey Hodie says, OH, OH, CLYDE.
I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT.
I'M SO SORRY THAT MY BIG FLOWER
IS MAKING YOU SNEEZE.
Bob Dog calls, GO FETCH, ME!
Bob Dog runs to the end of the garden. He stops and turns but nothing happens. He looks around.
He says, HEY.
WHERE'D MY BALL GO?
Clyde sneezes.
Clyde says, LOOK UP, BOB DOG!
Bob Dog says, OH, NO!
MY ME-TO-ME FETCH BALL!
Bob Dog’s ball is stuck on a leaf high up on the stem of the ungrowdenia flower.
Donkey Hodie says, OH... I'M SO SORRY
ABOUT YOUR BALL!
Clyde sneezes.
Donkey Hodie says, AND I'M SO SORRY
ABOUT THE SNEEZING.
The flowers that are now in shade from the large ungrowdenia flower look wilted. Purple Panda walks through the part of the garden that’s in shade. He carries a sketch pad and looks around.
He says, HEY, WHERE DID
THE SUN GO?
IT WAS SUNNY WHEN
I WAS WALKING HERE,
BUT NOW IT'S NOT.
Purple Panda looks around. He looks up and looks startled.
He says, WHOA!
THE UNGROWDENIA IS SO BIG
THAT IT'S BLOCKING THE SUN!
Donkey Hodie gasps.
She says, BUT, BUT ISN'T THE
UNGROWDENIA INCREDIBLE?
IT'S BIGGER-THAN-BIG!
Purple Panda says, WELL, SURE,
BUT LOOK WHAT IT'S DOING
TO ALL
YOUR OTHER FLOWERS!
OH!
AND THE TULIP
THAT MAMA GAVE YOU!
Donkey Hodie says, OH NO! THEY'RE WILTING!
The tulip looks like it’s starting to fall over. Donkey Hodie walks over.
She says, THEY CAN'T GET
THE SUNSHINE THEY NEED,
BECAUSE THE, BECAUSE THE UNGROWDENIAS
BLOCKING THE SUN!
Donkey Hodie turns to Purple Panda.
She says, YOU WERE RIGHT, PANDA!
I WATERED THE UNGROWDENIA
WAY TOO MUCH.
HOW CAN I FIX THIS?
THINK, DONKEY HODIE, THINK.
AH HA!
I HAVE TO UN-GROW
THE UNGROWDENIA!
Clyde and Bob Dog both say, YOU CAN UN-GROW AN UNGROWDENIA?
Donkey Hodie says, SURE CAN!
Purple Panda says, YEAH, BUT IT'S SO BIG,
HOW DO WE GET
UP ALL THE WAY UP THERE
TO COVER IT
SO IT'LL UN-GROW?
Donkey Hodie says, I GREW IT,
SO I'M GOING TO UN-GROW IT.
THE ONLY WAY I KNOW HOW.
Donkey Hodie climbs up the stem of the ungrowdenia. She grunts. Purple Panda and Bob Dog watch Donkey Hodie climb. They look amazed. Donkey Hodie climbs up to another leaf on the ungrowdenia’s stem. Clyde watches from the sky. Donkey Hodie reaches the flower at the top of the stem. She pulls a large blanket over the flower. The ungrowdenia starts to shrink back down into the garden. At the bottom, Donkey Hodie pops out from under the blanket holding Bob Dog’s ball.
Donkey Hodie says, HA!
AND THAT'S HOW YOU
UNGROW THE UNGROWDENIA!
Purple Panda says, YEAH!
Bob Dog says, AWW, THANKS, DONKEY!
Donkey Hodie hands Bob Dog’s ball back to him.
She says, YEP!
Bob Dog says, GO LONG, ME!
FETCH!
Bob Dog throws his ball then runs after it.
Donkey Hodie says, YOU'RE WELCOME, BOB DOG!
SORRY ABOUT YOUR BALL!
Donkey Hodie looks up at the sky.
She asks, HOW YA FEELING NOW, CLYDE?
Clyde takes a deep breath.
He says, AHH, MUCH BETTER.
THANK YOU, DONKEY.
Donkey Hodie says ,YOU'RE WELCOME, CLYDE!
SORRY ABOUT THE SNEEZES!
Clyde floats away.
Donkey Hodie asks, HOW DOES THE TULIP
LOOK, PANDA?
Donkey Hodie and Purple Panda look at the tulip. The wilting tulip slowly starts to rise.
Purple Panda says, MMM HMM. MMM HMM.
LOOKING GOOD!
Donkey Hodie says, MM-HMM.
Purple Panda says, IT SURE DOES LOVE
ALL THIS SUNSHINE!
Donkey Hodie laughs and looks up at the sky.
Purple Panda says, SO, YOU GOING TO RE-GROW
YOUR UNGROWDENIA?
Donkey Hodie says, YOU BETCHA.
IT WAS WRONG TO
GIVE IT SO MUCH WATER,
BUT THAT HELPED ME LEARN
THE RIGHT WAY TO WATER IT.
Donkey Hodie grabs her watering can.
She says, THIS TIME,
I'LL GO WITH MY TRUSTY
ONE-TWO-THREE
WATERING SYSTEM.
Donkey Hodie waters the dirt where the ungrowdenia flower is planted.
She counts, ONE, TWO, THREE...
AND THAT'S IT!
NOW, WE WAIT.
Purple Panda says, OKAY.
Donkey Hodie watches Purple Panda sketch on his sketch pad. They both turn to look at the garden.
Donkey Hodie says, PANDA!
THE UNGROWDENIA GREW!
The ungrowdenia grows to a size like the other flowers in the garden.
Donkey Hodie says, IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL.
Purple Panda says, YEAH! IT SURE IS.
Purple Panda goes back to sketching. Donkey Hodie watches him. Purple Panda looks up again.
He says, OH HEY, DO YOU SEE THAT?
Donkey Hodie looks up and gasps. The ungrowdenia and tulip flowers lean into each other.
Purple Panda says, THEY REALLY ARE
FLOWER FRIENDS!
Donkey Hodie says, YEAH.
Donkey Hodie and Purple Panda get a closer look at the flower friends. Purple Panda shares his sketch of the two flowers leaning into each other.
Donkey Hodie says, THEY'RE THE SECOND-BEST
FRIENDS IN MY WHOLE GARDEN.
Purple Panda says, YEAH! WAIT?
WHO ARE
THE FIRST-BEST FRIENDS?
Purple Panda looks at Donkey Hodie.
He says, OH YEAH...
Purple Panda giggles.
He says, US!
Purple Panda and Donkey Hodie lean into each other and smile.

Donkey Hodie says, OH!
BLESS YOU, CLYDE!
ARE YOU OKAY?
Clyde says, OH, I'M FINE, JUST…
Clyde sneezes.
He says, …SNEEZY.
I THINK
IT'S YOUR FLOWER.
I DON'T GET MANY FLOWERS
UP HERE IN THE SKY.
Donkey Hodie says, OH, OH, CLYDE.
I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT.
I'M SO SORRY THAT MY BIG FLOWER
IS MAKING YOU SNEEZE.
Bob Dog calls, GO FETCH, ME!
Bob Dog runs to the end of the garden. He stops and turns but nothing happens. He looks around.
He says, HEY.
WHERE'D MY BALL GO?
Clyde sneezes.
Clyde says, LOOK UP, BOB DOG!
Bob Dog says, OH, NO!
MY ME-TO-ME FETCH BALL!
Bob Dog’s ball is stuck on a leaf high up on the stem of the ungrowdenia flower.
Donkey Hodie says, OH... I'M SO SORRY
ABOUT YOUR BALL!
Clyde sneezes.
Donkey Hodie says, AND I'M SO SORRY
ABOUT THE SNEEZING.
The flowers that are now in shade from the large ungrowdenia flower look wilted. Purple Panda walks through the part of the garden that’s in shade. He carries a sketch pad and looks around.
He says, HEY, WHERE DID
THE SUN GO?
IT WAS SUNNY WHEN
I WAS WALKING HERE,
BUT NOW IT'S NOT.
Purple Panda looks around. He looks up and looks startled.
He says, WHOA!
THE UNGROWDENIA IS SO BIG
THAT IT'S BLOCKING THE SUN!
Donkey Hodie gasps.
She says, BUT, BUT ISN'T THE
UNGROWDENIA INCREDIBLE?
IT'S BIGGER-THAN-BIG!
Purple Panda says, WELL, SURE,
BUT LOOK WHAT IT'S DOING
TO ALL
YOUR OTHER FLOWERS!
OH!
AND THE TULIP
THAT MAMA GAVE YOU!
Donkey Hodie says, OH NO! THEY'RE WILTING!
The tulip looks like it’s starting to fall over. Donkey Hodie walks over.
She says, THEY CAN'T GET
THE SUNSHINE THEY NEED,
BECAUSE THE, BECAUSE THE UNGROWDENIAS
BLOCKING THE SUN!
Donkey Hodie turns to Purple Panda.
She says, YOU WERE RIGHT, PANDA!
I WATERED THE UNGROWDENIA
WAY TOO MUCH.
HOW CAN I FIX THIS?
THINK, DONKEY HODIE, THINK.
AH HA!
I HAVE TO UN-GROW
THE UNGROWDENIA!
Clyde and Bob Dog both say, YOU CAN UN-GROW AN UNGROWDENIA?
Donkey Hodie says, SURE CAN!
Purple Panda says, YEAH, BUT IT'S SO BIG,
HOW DO WE GET
UP ALL THE WAY UP THERE
TO COVER IT
SO IT'LL UN-GROW?
Donkey Hodie says, I GREW IT,
SO I'M GOING TO UN-GROW IT.
THE ONLY WAY I KNOW HOW.
Donkey Hodie climbs up the stem of the ungrowdenia. She grunts. Purple Panda and Bob Dog watch Donkey Hodie climb. They look amazed. Donkey Hodie climbs up to another leaf on the ungrowdenia’s stem. Clyde watches from the sky. Donkey Hodie reaches the flower at the top of the stem. She pulls a large blanket over the flower. The ungrowdenia starts to shrink back down into the garden. At the bottom, Donkey Hodie pops out from under the blanket holding Bob Dog’s ball.
Donkey Hodie says, HA!
AND THAT'S HOW YOU
UNGROW THE UNGROWDENIA!
Purple Panda says, YEAH!
Bob Dog says, AWW, THANKS, DONKEY!
Donkey Hodie hands Bob Dog’s ball back to him.
She says, YEP!
Bob Dog says, GO LONG, ME!
FETCH!
Bob Dog throws his ball then runs after it.
Donkey Hodie says, YOU'RE WELCOME, BOB DOG!
SORRY ABOUT YOUR BALL!
Donkey Hodie looks up at the sky.
She asks, HOW YA FEELING NOW, CLYDE?
Clyde takes a deep breath.
He says, AHH, MUCH BETTER.
THANK YOU, DONKEY.
Donkey Hodie says ,YOU'RE WELCOME, CLYDE!
SORRY ABOUT THE SNEEZES!
Clyde floats away.
Donkey Hodie asks, HOW DOES THE TULIP
LOOK, PANDA?
Donkey Hodie and Purple Panda look at the tulip. The wilting tulip slowly starts to rise.
Purple Panda says, MMM HMM. MMM HMM.
LOOKING GOOD!
Donkey Hodie says, MM-HMM.
Purple Panda says, IT SURE DOES LOVE
ALL THIS SUNSHINE!
Donkey Hodie laughs and looks up at the sky.
Purple Panda says, SO, YOU GOING TO RE-GROW
YOUR UNGROWDENIA?
Donkey Hodie says, YOU BETCHA.
IT WAS WRONG TO
GIVE IT SO MUCH WATER,
BUT THAT HELPED ME LEARN
THE RIGHT WAY TO WATER IT.
Donkey Hodie grabs her watering can.
She says, THIS TIME,
I'LL GO WITH MY TRUSTY
ONE-TWO-THREE
WATERING SYSTEM.
Donkey Hodie waters the dirt where the ungrowdenia flower is planted.
She counts, ONE, TWO, THREE...
AND THAT'S IT!
NOW, WE WAIT.
Purple Panda says, OKAY.
Donkey Hodie watches Purple Panda sketch on his sketch pad. They both turn to look at the garden.
Donkey Hodie says, PANDA!
THE UNGROWDENIA GREW!
The ungrowdenia grows to a size like the other flowers in the garden.
Donkey Hodie says, IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL.
Purple Panda says, YEAH! IT SURE IS.
Purple Panda goes back to sketching. Donkey Hodie watches him. Purple Panda looks up again.
He says, OH HEY, DO YOU SEE THAT?
Donkey Hodie looks up and gasps. The ungrowdenia and tulip flowers lean into each other.
Purple Panda says, THEY REALLY ARE
FLOWER FRIENDS!
Donkey Hodie says, YEAH.
Donkey Hodie and Purple Panda get a closer look at the flower friends. Purple Panda shares his sketch of the two flowers leaning into each other.
Donkey Hodie says, THEY'RE THE SECOND-BEST
FRIENDS IN MY WHOLE GARDEN.
Purple Panda says, YEAH! WAIT?
WHO ARE
THE FIRST-BEST FRIENDS?
Purple Panda looks at Donkey Hodie.
He says, OH YEAH...
Purple Panda giggles.
He says, US!
Purple Panda and Donkey Hodie lean into each other and smile.
