Ranger Hamza smiles and says, AFTER THE HUSTLE AND
BUSTLE OF THE TOWN,
IT'S NICE TO RELAX IN THE PARK.
[Calm music plays]
Sunlight shines through space between leaves on swaying tree branches. A cluster of small purple flowers grow together.
Ranger Hamza narrates, THESE
LOOK LIKE LITTLE PURPLE HATS.
AND THERE'S A TINY BUG
CRAWLING UP THE TREE. IT'S SO SMALL!

Ranger Hamza says, IS THAT WHAT YOUR SILLY...
THAT'S A GOOD SILLY FACE!
COME ON, YOU TOO!
WHY DON'T YOU PULL A SILLY FACE!
Jack wiggles his fingers beside his head as he sticks out his tongue.
[Gobbling]
Ranger Hamza asks, WHAT DOES
A HAPPY TREE LOOK LIKE?
MAKE YOUR HANDS
INTO THE BRANCHES,
AND WHAT WOULD IT LOOK LIKE?
The Ramblers spreads out their arms.
Ranger Hamza says, I'M A HAPPY TREE!
THAT'S MY HAPPY TREE. WHAT'S YOURS,
WHAT'S YOUR HAPPY TREE?
AND A SAD TREE?

A child sings, EXPLORE OUTSIDE TOGETHER
Ranger Hamza and the Ramblers stop and point to a bandstand.
A child says, IT'S A BANDSTAND.
Ranger Hamza says, A BANDSTAND IS
WHERE PEOPLE GO TO PLAY MUSIC.
THIS ONE HAS SO MANY
INTERESTING SHAPES. THESE SWIRLY
DECORATIONS LOOK LIKE GUARDS.
Animated faces appear on iron finials.
[Pop, pop, trumpet fanfare, upbeat music plays]

Terrance says, EIGHT.
Ranger Hamza says, EIGHT.
Ranger Hamza narrates,
LET'S COUNT THEM AGAIN.
As Ranger Hamza counts, a blue number appears beside a light and a chime dings.
Ranger Hamza counts, ONE, TWO, THREE,
FOUR, FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT.
EIGHT TRIANGLES
TOGETHER MAKE UP AN OCTAGON.
THERE'S NO MUSIC PLAYING TODAY,
SO THE PARK IS PEACEFUL.
BUT WHAT'S THIS NOISE?
[Church bells]
The Ramblers sing, DING, DONG!
Ranger Hamza says, WHAT
ARE THE BELLS FOR?
A boy says, TO TELL THE
TIME IN THE OLD TIME.
[Church bells]
Ranger Hamza says,
OH, LET'S COUNT IT.
READY? ONE...
[Church bells]
Ramblers and Hamza count, TWO...
[Church bells]
Ramblers say THREE...
Ranger Hamza says, THREE.
SO, WHAT TIME IS IT?
A rambler says, THREE O'CLOCK.
[Peaceful music plays]
Ranger Hamza narrates, TIME TO
FIND A SPOT FOR OUR PICNIC.
The Ramblers run to grassy slope and point.
They say, HERE.
Ranger Hamza says, YEAH, RIGHT THERE?
OK, RIGHT... WHY DON'T YOU ALL
TAKE ONE CORNER, PERFECT.
Ranger Hamza and the Ramblers spread out a picnic blanket.
A boy exclaims, IT'S MULTI-COLOURED.
Ranger Hamza says, IT'S MULTI-COLOURED.

IT HAD A FACE...
Eleanor giggles and says, MY SILLY
FACE IS LIKE THIS!
[Pop, church bells]
Ranger Hamza says, AND AT THE
BANDSTAND WE HEARD THE BELLS,
FROM THE CLOCK TOWER...
The Ramblers sing, DING, DONG!
DING, DONG!

OR THIS BLUE CAR?
THE BIG CLOCK WAS PALE BLUE.
AND DON'T FORGET,
THE RAMBLER'S HATS!
WELL, I HOPE
YOU ENJOYED OUR WALK TODAY,
WE CERTAINLY DID.
THE NEXT TIME YOU GO FOR A WALK,
WHY DON'T YOU KEEP
YOUR EYES AND EARS OPEN,
AND YOU CAN
HAVE AN ADVENTURE TOO.
Ranger Hamza and the Rangers wave and say, BYE!
Ranger Hamza says, OH!

BUT WE WON'T BE
BUYING ANY FOR OUR PICNIC,
BECAUSE IT'S NOT COOKED YET.
IT'S BEING KEPT COLD ON THE ICE
WHILE WE CARRY ON OUR WALK
IN THE SUNSHINE.
LET'S SEE WHAT
ELSE WE CAN FIND ON OUR WALK.
A tall stone building has a round pale blue clock with golden number on a tower.
Ranger Hamza says, THIS OLD BUILDING IS A CHURCH,
CALLED AN ABBEY. CAN YOU SEE THE POINTY ROOFS?
AND THE WEATHERVANE
ON TOP OF THIS ONE?
IT SHOWS WHICH WAY THE WIND
IS BLOWING.
Ranger Hamza says, WHAT CAN
YOU SEE UP THERE?
Jack says, I CAN SEE CLOCKS.
Ramblers says, I CAN SEE BIRDS.
WINDOWS, WITH CRISS-CROSSES ON.
Ranger Hamza asks, WHERE?
Eleanor says, UP THERE.
Ranger Hamza says, SO,
WHAT'S GOT ON THE WINDOWS?
Eleanor says, DIAMONDS!
Animated blue diamonds appear across a window.
Ranger Hamza narrates, PARTS OF THIS ABBEY
ARE MORE THAN ONE THOUSAND,
THREE HUNDRED YEARS OLD.
CAN YOU SEE WHERE THE
STONES HAVE BEEN REPAIRED,
OR REPLACED WITH NEW ONES?
Eleanor touches a wall.
Ranger Hamza asks, CAN YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE
BETWEEN THE OLD STONES AND THE NEW ONES?
THIS IS ALL THE OLD STONE HERE,
NICE, AND ROUGH.
AND THIS IS THE NEW, SMOOTH.
Jack says, OLD...NEW.
Ranger Hamza says, AW, VERY GOOD.
VERY GOOD.
Ranger Hamza narrates, WE'VE
REACHED THE END OF THE SQUARE,
BUT WE'RE ONLY
HALFWAY THROUGH OUR WALK.
The Ramblers and Ranger Hamza walk on a sidewalk.
Footprints move across the animated map, from a blue dot at the edge of town to the grey town square to the abbey.
[Footsteps, clank, footsteps, bloop, footsteps, bell rings]
Ranger Hamza narrates, SO FAR ON OUR WALK TODAY...
WE HAVE SEEN THE OLD CITY WALLS,
THE MARKET STALLS, AND THE ABBEY.
AND NOW, WE'RE AT THE PARK.
Ranger Hamza and the Ramblers walk under a stone archway.
Ranger Hamza narrates, THIS WILL BE FUN!
Ranger Hamza smiles and says, AFTER THE HUSTLE AND
BUSTLE OF THE TOWN,
IT'S NICE TO RELAX IN THE PARK.
[Calm music plays]
Sunlight shines through space between leaves on swaying tree branches. A cluster of small purple flowers grow together.
Ranger Hamza narrates, THESE
LOOK LIKE LITTLE PURPLE HATS.
AND THERE'S A TINY BUG
CRAWLING UP THE TREE. IT'S SO SMALL!
The Ranger and Ramblers walk around a tree trunk.
Ranger Hamza says, AH, LOOK WHAT
I'VE FOUND GUYS!
Terrance asks, WHAT?
Ranger Hamza says, LOOK AT THIS.
A child asks, LOOK AT WHAT?
Ranger Hamza asks, CAN YOU SEE?
The Ramblers ask, WHAT?
Three cicles are carved into the tree trunk.
Ranger Hamza asks, WHAT
DOES THIS LOOK LIKE?
The Ramblers say, A FACE.
Ranger Hamza says, YEAH!
THAT'S A VERY FUNNY FACE, ISN'T IT?
Terrance says, HELLO TREE!
Ranger Hamza says, CAN YOU SEE
IT'S BIG EYES AND FUNNY MOUTH?
Eleanor says, MY SILLY
FACE IS LIKE THIS...
She makes a silly face.
Ranger Hamza says, MY SILLY
FACE IS LIKE THIS.
Terrance sticks out his tongue.
The Ramblers droop and look sad.
Ranger Hamza says, OHH.
WHAT'S THE BEST SAD TREE?
LIKE, LIKE THAT. YEP.
[Bird tweets, slide whistle]
A blue line draws a sad face on the tree trunk.
A child says, SAD TREE.
[Bird tweets, slide whistle]
The blue line draws a happy face on the tree trunk.
The child says, HAPPY TREE!
Ranger Hamza says, IMAGINE ALL THE
THINGS THAT COULD LIVE ON IT.
A child suggests, MONKEY.
Ranger Hamza says, A MONKEY, YES.
Terrance says, AN OWL?
Ranger Hamza says, AN OWL, YEAH.
Ranger Hamza blows into his hands and imitates an owl noise.
[Owl noise]
Jack imitates an owl.
[Owl noise]
Ranger Hamza says, THAT'S RIGHT,
THAT'S RIGHT!
WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE ANIMAL?
Jack says, UM, MINES IS AN OCTOPUS.
Ranger Hamza asks, AND
WHAT DOES THAT LOOK LIKE?
Jack says, IT'S LIKE...
Ranger Hamza says, LOADS
OF ARMS AND LEGS... SHOW ME.
Ranger Hamza, Eleanor and Terrance wiggle their arms.
Ranger Hamza says, AW YEAH!
Jack says, AND I LIKE
GORILLAS AS WELL.
[Upbeat music plays]
[Gorilla imitations]
Ranger Hamza says, SHALL WE WALK
LIKE GORILLAS DOWN THE PARK?
COME ON THEN, LET'S GO.
I'M A BIG GORILLA! YEAH!
Jack and Eleanor crouch and walk on their feet and fists.
Ranger Hamza says, LOOK AT THESE TWO,
THEY'RE MAKING GREAT GORILLAS.
[Gorilla imitations]
I'M A BIG GORILLA!
LOOK AT THIS GORILLA OVER HERE!
THAT IS A GOOD GORILLA!
[Gorilla imitation]
Animated buildings appear on animated hills.
A child sings, EXPLORE OUTSIDE TOGETHER
Ranger Hamza and the Ramblers stop and point to a bandstand.
A child says, IT'S A BANDSTAND.
Ranger Hamza says, A BANDSTAND IS
WHERE PEOPLE GO TO PLAY MUSIC.
THIS ONE HAS SO MANY
INTERESTING SHAPES. THESE SWIRLY
DECORATIONS LOOK LIKE GUARDS.
Animated faces appear on iron finials.
[Pop, pop, trumpet fanfare, upbeat music plays]
Ranger Hamza says, PROTECTING US FROM MONSTER!
[Growling]
Ranger Hamza says, WHAT
OTHER SHAPES ARE THERE?
Terrance says, CIRCLE.
Ranger Hamza says, CIRCLE.
WHICH ONES ARE CIRCLES?
Ramblers shout, THE LIGHTS,
Ranger Hamza says, THE LIGHTS!
A child says, TRIANGLES.
Ranger Hamza asks, WHERE?
A child says, UP THERE!
Ranger Hamza asks, SHALL
WE COUNT THEM TOGETHER?
The Ramblers count, ONE,
TWO, THREE, FOUR...
Jack says, THERE'S EIGHT.
Terrance says, EIGHT.
Ranger Hamza says, EIGHT.
Ranger Hamza narrates,
LET'S COUNT THEM AGAIN.
As Ranger Hamza counts, a blue number appears beside a light and a chime dings.
Ranger Hamza counts, ONE, TWO, THREE,
FOUR, FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT.
EIGHT TRIANGLES
TOGETHER MAKE UP AN OCTAGON.
THERE'S NO MUSIC PLAYING TODAY,
SO THE PARK IS PEACEFUL.
BUT WHAT'S THIS NOISE?
[Church bells]
The Ramblers sing, DING, DONG!
Ranger Hamza says, WHAT
ARE THE BELLS FOR?
A boy says, TO TELL THE
TIME IN THE OLD TIME.
[Church bells]
Ranger Hamza says,
OH, LET'S COUNT IT.
READY? ONE...
[Church bells]
Ramblers and Hamza count, TWO...
[Church bells]
Ramblers say THREE...
Ranger Hamza says, THREE.
SO, WHAT TIME IS IT?
A rambler says, THREE O'CLOCK.
[Peaceful music plays]
Ranger Hamza narrates, TIME TO
FIND A SPOT FOR OUR PICNIC.
The Ramblers run to grassy slope and point.
They say, HERE.
Ranger Hamza says, YEAH, RIGHT THERE?
OK, RIGHT... WHY DON'T YOU ALL
TAKE ONE CORNER, PERFECT.
Ranger Hamza and the Ramblers spread out a picnic blanket.
A boy exclaims, IT'S MULTI-COLOURED.
Ranger Hamza says, IT'S MULTI-COLOURED.
RIGHT, SHALL WE LAY IT DOWN GENTLY?
AH, PERFECT.
[A boy claps]
Ranger Hamza says, RIGHT,
LET'S ALL TAKE A SEAT.
STRETCH YOUR LEGS!
WHAT A DAY!
DID YOU ENJOY TODAY?
Footprints move across the animated map from a blue dot, through a city wall tunnel, across a grey square, to the abbey and across the street to the park.
Ranger Hamza narrates, FIRST,
WE MADE OUR WAY THROUGH
THE CITY WALLS...
[Hiss]
A Rambler says, DON'T WAKE THE SNAKE!
[Pop]
Ranger Hamza says, WE TASTED
BREAD FROM THE MARKET STALL...
Ramblers say, YUMMY!
NICE!
Ranger Hamza says, AT THE ABBEY,
WE FELT THE DIFFERENT
PARTS OF THE WALL...
[Church bell]
Jack says, OLD... NEW.
Ranger Hamza says, WE
SAW A TREE THAT LOOKED LIKE
IT HAD A FACE...
Eleanor giggles and says, MY SILLY
FACE IS LIKE THIS!
[Pop, church bells]
Ranger Hamza says, AND AT THE
BANDSTAND WE HEARD THE BELLS,
FROM THE CLOCK TOWER...
The Ramblers sing, DING, DONG!
DING, DONG!
Ranger Hamza says, FINALLY,
WE CAN BRING OUT THE FOOD
FOR OUR PICNIC.
WE'VE WASHED OUR HANDS,
AND WE'RE READY TO EAT.
Terrance says, CARROT.
CUCUMBER.
Ranger Hamza says, CUCUMBER.
Terrance says, TOMATO.
Jack says, THERE'S SOME BREAD.
Ranger Hamza says, OH!
WELL DONE!
MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE BREAD.
Ranger Hamza takes a container of blueberries out of his backpack.
A child says, BLUEBERRIES.
Ranger Hamza says, BLUEBERRIES.
OH YEAH! THAT'S RIGHT, BLUEBERRIES.
WE PLAYED A GAME EARLIER,
DO YOU REMEMBER?
HOW MANY BLUE
THINGS DID YOU SPOT?
Ranger Hamza says, FIRST, WE
SPOTTED THE LOVELY BLUE SKY...
DID YOU NOTICE THE BLUE BIKE?
OR THIS BLUE CAR?
THE BIG CLOCK WAS PALE BLUE.
AND DON'T FORGET,
THE RAMBLER'S HATS!
WELL, I HOPE
YOU ENJOYED OUR WALK TODAY,
WE CERTAINLY DID.
THE NEXT TIME YOU GO FOR A WALK,
WHY DON'T YOU KEEP
YOUR EYES AND EARS OPEN,
AND YOU CAN
HAVE AN ADVENTURE TOO.
Ranger Hamza and the Rangers wave and say, BYE!
Ranger Hamza says, OH!
CAN YOU PASS ME THE TOMATOES?
ELEANOR, DO YOU WANT SOME BREAD?
HOW ABOUT YOU?
YOU'VE GOT SOME BREAD?
OH, LOVELY!
IT'S NICE, INNIT?
