An airplane flies past the smiling sun. An owl wears a red, yellow, and black scarf. Mandisa Watts, a dark-haired woman, waves as she stands under a tree in a park by a road. She wears a peach-coloured shirt under her blue denim overalls. A floral patterned scarf is tied around her head and pink earrings dandle to her shoulders.
A ladybug lands on a purple flower in front of Mandisa. A school bus travels down the road while a green dinosaur climbs on a bench and a penguin dances in a field.
A puppet fox and a cardboard robot jump into Mandisa’s hands while a giraffe leaps out from behind a bush.
The title reads, “Curious Crafting”.
Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple crayons streak across the screen.
Mandisa holds a while salad spinner as she sits at a round green table in a colourful craft room. Behind her, a purple wall features pink flamingo with a very long neck. Crafts, markers, and crafting tools are displayed on shelves on the other walls.
To Mandisa’s left, a boy with curly red hair leans on the table. He wears a red t-shirt over his black sweater. On Mandisa’s right side, a girl with long dark hair watches her closely. The girl wears a light blue dress.
Mandisa asks,
DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU CAN USE
AN OLD SALAD SPINNER TO MAKE A
REALLY COOL CRAFT?
Mandisa holds up a picture of a lion with googly eyes sitting in tall green grass.
The boy with curly red hair replies, YEAH.
Mandisa says,
WOULD YOU GUYS LIKE TO MAKE ONE?
The dark-haired girl says, YEAH!
The boy with curly red hair shouts, YEAH!!
He raises his arms.
Mandisa says,
OK, LET'S GO GET OUR CRAFT
SUPPLIES.
The kids pick up colourful construction paper shapes.
Mandisa says,
YOU'RE GOING TO NEED A WHITE
CIRCLE AND GREEN RECTANGLE,
(Bell)
Mandisa says,

The boy with curly red hair places a white circle of construction paper in the salad spinner.
Mandisa says,
YOU CAN PUT YOUR CIRCLE,
THIS IS GOING TO BE YOUR MANE.
CAN YOU PUT THAT AT THE VERY
BOTTOM OF THE SALAD SPINNER?
POUR SOME YELLOW PAINT ALL OVER,
GOOD AND THEN SOME THERE,
SOME THERE,
SOME THERE, GOOD.
The boy with curly red hair pours drops of orange and yellow paint into the salad spinner.
Mandisa says,
AND GOOD, SOME OVER THERE, GOOD.
OH, THAT'S GREAT.
TOP ONTO THE SALAD SPINNER.
USE THAT KNOB TO SPIN IT AROUND.
CAN YOU SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING?
The boy with curly red hair spins the salad spinner.
He replies, YEAH.
Mandisa says,
WOW, I'M GOING TO OPEN IT UP
AND WE CAN SEE WHAT YOUR DESIGN
LOOKS LIKE.
A design of yellow and orange paint covers the circular construction paper.
The boy with curly red hair says, WOW!
Mandisa lays the yellow and orange construction paper on the table.
She says,
LET'S SET IT OVER HERE TO DRY.
The dark-haired girl pours orange and yellow paint into the salad spinner.
Mandisa says,
OK, GOOD, GOOD.
GOOD, GREAT COLLETTE.
Collette, the dark-haired girl, says,
IT'S GOING TO BE A LION.
She spins the salad spinner.
Mandisa says,
USE THOSE MUSCLES AND
TURN, TURN, TURN, TURN, TURN,
TURN, TURN.
Mandisa opens the salad spinner. A design of yellow and orange covers Collette’s construction paper.
Mandisa says,
OH, LOOK AT THAT DESIGN.
OUR LION MANES ARE DONE.
IT'S TIME TO BUILD THE REST OF
OUR LION.
FIRST, WE'RE GOING TO GLUE DOWN
OUR LION'S BODY.
The kids rub glue sticks over a small circular piece of paper.
The boy with curly red hair says,
YEAH, YEAH, YEAH, YEAH.
Mandisa replies, GOOD.
[Cartoon scale]
Animated googly eyes look at the kid’s crafts. Mandisa hands the kids squiggly pieces of yellow paper.
She says,
THERE'S YOUR LION TAIL, THERE IS
YOUR LION TAIL
AND THEN GLUE IT ON THE SIDE OF
YOUR LION'S BODY.
GOOD, RIGHT THERE IS PERFECT.
NOW WE'RE GOING TO PUT DOWN
THE MANE.
STICK THAT RIGHT ABOVE
YOUR LIONS.
GOOD JOB, TRISTAN.
GOOD JOB.
Collette says,
I'M PRESSING IT IN THE MANE.
(Chime)
A green crayon makes a check mark.
Mandisa says,
SO PUT A LITTLE BIT OF GLUE ON
YOUR LION'S HEAD.
Tristan, the boy with curly red hair, rubs a glue stick on his picture.
He says, ROAR, ROAR.
Mandisa says,
I'M GOING TO GIVE YOU TWO LITTLE
EARS FOR YOUR LION,
AND HERE'S SOME EARS AND EYES
FOR YOU.
Tristan places two googly eyes over his eyes.
Mandisa asks,
ARE YOU A LION TRISTAN?
Tristan replies, RRRRR.
Mandisa says,
AND YOU CAN PUT YOUR EYES
RIGHT THERE.
TRISTAN, WHAT SOUND DOES A
LION MAKE?
Tristan says, ROARRRRRR!
Mandisa asks,
COLETTE, WHERE DOES YOUR
LION LIVE?
Collette answers,
IT LIVES IN THE FOREST.
A paintbrush with red paint on it makes a circle around Tristan’s picture.
Mandisa says,
IN THE FOREST.
Collette says,
YOU NEED TO MAKE THE
MOUTH NOW.
Mandisa hands Tristan a black marker.
She says,
HERE'S A MARKER FOR YOU TO
DRAW A NOSE AND A MOUTH.
Tristan replies, FINE.
He draws a mouth on his lion picture.
Mandisa says,
OH, GOOD JOB, TRISTAN.
I LOVE YOUR LION'S MOUTH.
LOOKS SO GOOD.
WHAT'S THE LAST THING WE NEED
FOR OUR LION...
Collette shouts, GRASS!
Mandisa says,
GRASS, TO MAKE THE GRASS,
WE'RE GOING TO CUT SOME USING
GREEN CONSTRUCTION PAPER.
JUST KEEP CUTTING ALL THE
WAY DOWN.
Tristan and Colette cut slits into pieces of construction paper.
Mandisa says,
GOOD AND CUT THAT ONE IN HALF
AND WATCH YOUR FINGER.
GOOD JOB, NOW YOU CAN GLUE
YOUR GRASS,
YOUR LIONS HIDING IN THE GRASS.
Collette replies,
YEAH, I COULD COVER THE TAIL.
She glues her green construction paper to the bottom of her lion picture.
Mandisa says,
OK, AND THEN, YOU KNOW WHAT WE
CAN DO,
WE CAN BEND DOWN OUR GRASS.
SO IT LOOKS LIKE REAL GRASS.
THAT'S RIGHT.
Mandisa, Tristan, and Collette show their lion pictures.
Tristan shouts,
ROOOOAAAARRRRRRRRR!
Mandisa says,
LET'S TAKE OUR LIONS OUT TO THE
FOREST.
Collette holds up her picture.
She says,

WE'RE AT THE FOREST.
