(Cheerful music plays)
A paper bag fox hops onto show host Mandisa’s hand. Mandisa has black hair held back by a headband and wears denim overalls over a peach t-shirt. She stands against an animated background. A cardboard robot lands beside Mandisa. Mandisa holds the robot and smiles.
A title reads, Curious Crafting.
Mandisa sits at a table in a playroom. She wears a green headband with a white shirt under denim overalls. Children sit on either side of Mandisa. One of the children has long curly brown hair and the other has short brown hair. They both hold crafts.
Mandisa asks, WHO ARE YOUR LITTLE FRIENDS?
The short haired child says, THIS IS BUTTON.
Mandisa says, AH SO CUTE.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT I THINK
THEY NEED?
The long haired child says, WHAT?
Mandisa brings out a craft.
She says, A HOUSE!
She makes the house door open and close.
Mandisa says, YES!
LIKE THIS ONE.
I MADE IT FROM A PAPER BAG.
Scissors cut through paper and reveal craft supplies on the table. Mandisa draws on an orange paper cut out.
She narrates, TRY MAKING THIS CRAFT AT HOME.
CUT OUT AND DECORATE A DOOR,
WINDOW,
FLOWER POT, CHIMNEY
AND ROOF FOR YOUR HOUSE.
Mandisa draws on other paper cut outs so they look like the different parts of a house. She begins gluing the pieces onto a paper bag.
She narrates, GLUE THE DOOR
AND FLOWERPOTS TO THE BOTTOM.
ADD POM POM FLOWERS.
Mandisa adds pom poms to the flower pots on either side of her house’s door. She glues a window to her paper bag above the door.
She narrates, ADD THE WINDOWS TO THE MIDDLE.
Mandisa carefully opens the paper bag.
She narrates, OPEN YOUR PAPER BAG
AND FILL IT WITH TISSUE PAPER.
When the house is filled, Mandisa folds the top of the paper bag closed.
She narrates, FOLD THE TOP AND GLUE ON
YOUR ROOF.
Mandisa glues her roof over the folded bag.
She narrates, YOUR PAPER BAG HOUSE IS
COMPLETE.
A paint brush reveals paper bag house crafts on the table with the children. The long haired child plays with their crafts.
Mandisa says, I'M GOING TO GO INSIDE
MY HOUSE.
The short haired child says, OH I LIKE THIS.
Mandisa asks, CAN I COME OVER TO
YOUR HOUSE?
The short haired child says, SURE.
