A purple heart appears.
Text reads, “Clarinet”.
The child says,
CLARINET.
Bamboo sniffs a sunflower.
The child says,
WOW! WHAT A LOVELY
SUNFLOWER GARDEN.
A ladybug lands on a sunflower. Bamboo waves at it.
The child says,
OH, YOU HAVE COMPANY
THE LADYBUGS ALSO LIKE
THE SUNFLOWERS.
A large group of ladybugs flies toward Bamboo. They carry a clarinet.
The child says,
WHOA! WHAT COULD THIS BE?
HOW NICE!
THE LADYBUGS ARE GIFTING YOU
WITH THE CLARINET.
THAT'S RIGHT, BAMBOO LOVE!
A CLARINET!
The ladybugs carry another clarinet to Bamboo.
The child says,
OH, THE LADYBUGS WANT YOU
TO PLAY WITH THEM.
Bamboo begins to play the clarinet. The ladybugs drop their clarinet and fly away from Bamboo.
The child says,
AW, IT'S OKAY.
ABOUT THE CLARINET
Bamboo nods. Penguin pushes aside sunflowers and approaches Bamboo.
The child says,
WHOA, PENGUIN!
WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP TEACH
BAMBOO LOVE ABOUT THE CLARINET?
Penguin replies, WHA-WHA!
Penguin takes a photograph of Bamboo with a tablet.
The child says,
TO PLAY THE CLARINET, PLACE YOUR
LEFT HAND OVER THE TOP HOLES
AND USE YOUR RIGHT HAND
THEN PLACE
CLOSE YOUR MOUTH
AND BLOW INTO THE MOUTHPIECE.
THE CLARINET MAKES
CHEERFUL NOTES, SO IT IS PERFECT
FOR MANY MUSICAL STYLES,
INCLUDING CLASSICAL AND JAZZ.

Penguin plays the clarinet. Bamboo smiles.
The child says,
YOUR TURN, BAMBOO LOVE!
Bamboo blows hard into the clarinet.
The child says,
IT'S OKAY!
TRY CLOSING YOUR LIPS IN A FIRM
CIRCLE AROUND THE MOUTHPIECE.
Bamboo plays a note on the clarinet.
The child says,
WELL DONE.
PENGUIN, COULD YOU SHOW
HOW TO PRESS THE TONE HOLES
Penguin replies, WHA-WHA!
Penguin presses down on the clarinet’s tone holes. Bamboo watches and then plays alongside Penguin.
The child says,
GREAT JOB, BAMBOO LOVE!
YOU'RE MAKING BEAUTIFUL NOTES
ON THE CLARINET.
Bamboo, Penguin, and the ladybugs play clarinet together.
The child says,
TODAY WE LEARNED
ABOUT THE CLARINET.
BAMBOO LOVE LEARNED
AND…GO ALONG WITH
