A child narrates, IT’S LADYBIRD AND BEE.

(Giggling)

(Music playing)

Flowers grow in a green meadow. Ladybird and Bee fly past other bees on flowers. They fly up to where birds perch on a branch.

The narrator says, LADYBIRD AND BEE ARE LOOKING AT ALL THE SPRING THINGS. HELLO, LADYBIRD!

Ladybird says, LILLILOO!

Ladybird does a somersault in the air.

The narrator says, HELLO, BEE!

Bee flies in a loop.

Bee says, BUZZ, BUZZ, BUZZ!

They fly down to a puddle on the ground and stick their faces in the water. Frog eggs are in the water.

(Giggling)

Bee and Ladybird fly to a nest on the ground filled with baby mice.

(Crying)

The narrator says, MOUSE BABIES! WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE MOUSE BABIES, LADYBIRD AND BEE?

Bee asks, BUZZ, BUZZ?

Ladybird shakes her head.

Ladybird says, LILLILOO.

(Wailing)

(Music playing)

Bee and Ladybird dance and wiggle in the air.

(Giggling)

The mice look at Ladybird and Bee and stop crying. The mice smile.

The narrator says, LADYBIRD AND BEE, YOU'RE MAKING THEM HAPPY!

(Music playing)

Ladybird and Bee stop dancing and the mice begin to cry.

(Wailing)

(Music playing)

Bee and Ladybird dance above the mice. The mice smile, then yawn.

(Yawning)

The mice fall asleep.

(Music slows and stops)

Bee and Ladybird look at the mice and smile. They start to fly away, and the mice wake up.

(Wailing)

The narrator says, I KNOW, WE CAN TRY SINGING.

(Narrator humming)

(Music playing)

The narrator sings, CLOSE YOUR EYES, NOD YOUR HEAD. CURL UP IN YOUR WEE BED.

The mice fall asleep. Bee and Ladybird fly to a purple flower and close their eyes.

Ladybird says softly, LILLILOO.

Bee whispers, BUZZ BUZZ.

A large mouse goes to the nest and smile. The mouse stands above the sleeping baby mice.

The mouse says, AH!

(Mouse humming)

(Soft music playing)

Ladybird and Bee sleep on the flower. The mouse curls up with the babies and goes to sleep. Bee and Ladybird are side by side as they rest.

(Birdsong)
