On Rocky Ridge Mountain, Zack, Fletch and Tyne work together. Tyne places a drill beside a rock wall. She lowers her safety glasses.
Tyne says, HERE WE GO.
[Drill whirrs]
At the yard, Hoot and Toot, two conjoined twin electric trains, stare up at the tunnel boring machine. Hoot is blue and white with a teal door and Toot is teal and white with a blue door.
Hoot asks, WHAT IS IT?
Puffer Pete, a black and red steam chugger, says,
A BIG MACHINE THAT DRILLS HOLES.
Hoot says, OOH.
CAN WE HAVE A TURN? PLEASE?
[Distant horns blare, clinking]
Puffer Pete says, NOT A CHANCE.
[Chuckles, steam hisses]
Puffer Pete says, IT'S BIGGER THAN
THE BOTH OF YOU.
IT'S GOING TO TAKE SOME
S-S-SHIFTING, I RECKON.
[Upbeat music plays, squeaking]
Dunbar, a green chugger, looks left and right at an intersection on a tree-lined track. He sees Brewster leading his team and stops.
[Horn honks, squeaking]
Dunbar says, OH, CHUG PATROL.
THANK GOODNESS.
I'VE JUST SEEN A TRACKSIDE FIRE
NEAR THE FOUNDRY.
Calley says, ON IT, DUNBAR.
SORRY, BREWSTER. I'VE GOT TO GO.
Brewster says, NO PROBLEM, CALLEY.
WE'LL MANAGE.
[Siren wails]
Calley says, I'M CHUG PATROL,
AND I'M READY TO ROLL.
Brewster says, LET'S GO, TEAM.
On the mountain, Tyne pulls the drill away from the rock.
[Drill whirrs, upbeat music plays]
Tyne says, AND NOW MY FAVOURITE
PART: PUTTING IN THE EXPLOSIVES.
Tyne slides a stick of dynamite into a drilled hole.
Tyne says, WHICH MEANS WE'RE
ONE STEP CLOSER TO "KABOOM."
[Fletch and Zack laugh]
Brewster and his team chug along a countryside track.
[Clattering, sniffing]
Chatsworth says, SMOKE, SMOKE!
I'M OVERHEATING!
[Whirring, tense music plays]
Brewster says, EVERYONE STOP.
SWITCH OFF YOUR ENGINE,
CHATSWORTH. OH, WE'D BETTER
GET YOU TO THE REPAIR SHED.
OLWIN, COULD YOU TOW HIM, PLEASE?
Olwin says, YES, DEAR.
Chatsworth says, I'M SORRY, BREWSTER.
I FEEL TERRIBLE LETTING YOU DOWN
LIKE THIS.
Brewster says, DON'T WORRY.

Wilson says, YEAH.

Olwin couples up to Chatsworth and tows him.
[Clank]
Chatsworth says, GENTLE WITH ME,
OLWIN. THERE'S STILL SOME SMOKE.
[Upbeat music plays]
Harrison says, OH, IF A CHUGGER IS FOOLISH
ENOUGH TO FORGET TO FILL UP ON
WATER, WHAT DOES HE EXPECT?
[Harrison chuckles]
Chatsworth says, I CAN HEAR, YOU KNOW.
[Coughing]
Harrison says, OH!
Brewster asks, WHAT'S WRONG?
[Harrison clears his throat, whooshing]
Harrison says, I, UM, APPEAR
TO HAVE RUN OUT OF FUEL.
Brewster shouts, HANG ON, OLWIN.
WE'VE GOT ANOTHER ONE.
Harrison says, UH, MY APOLOGIES.
THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE.
Brewster and Wilson arrive at the yard and stop beside the tunnel boring machine.
[Clanking]
Brewster says, HONKING HORNS!
Wilson says, WOWZER.
Puffer Pete says, ENORMOUS, ISN'T IT?
Brewster says, THAT LOOKS REALLY HEAVY.
[Clank]
Wilson says, DON'T WORRY, BREWSTER.
WE'LL MANAGE.
[Beeping]
Jackman says, over the Chugcom, JACKMAN TO WILSON.
Brewster grumbles, OH, NO.
Tyne puts sticks of dynamite in holes in the rock wall. She backs towards Fletch and Zack.
[Whirring, tense music plays]
Tyne says, POSITIONS, PLEASE, CHUGGINEERS.
[Laughing]
Tyne says, I'M READY TO MAKE SOME NOISE.
Fletch teases, YOU'RE ALWAYS NOISY.
Tyne says, PROUD TO BE LOUD.
OKAY, SAFETY FIRST.
AREA CLEAR. VISOR DOWN.
[Whirring]
Tyne says, STAND BY.
READY TO GO IN THREE, TWO, ONE.
The dynamite explodes and rubble falls on the track.
[Explosion]
Tyne cheers, WOO-HOO!
Small rocks hit Zack and Fletch and they back up.
Tyne cheers, WOO-HOO!
YES. WE DID IT.
Fletch says, WHOA. IT'S GOING
TO TAKE US A WHILE TO SHIFT
ALL THAT.
Zack says, THEN LET'S GET MOVING.
WE NEED IT CLEARED BEFORE
BREWSTER GETS HERE.
At the yard, Brewster waits beside Wilson.
[Tense music plays]
Jackman says, over Chugcom, WAIT
WITH HER AND DO A RISK REPORT.
Wilson says, GOT IT, CHIEF.
OVER AND OUT.
I'M REALLY SORRY, BREWSTER.
THERE'S BEEN AN ACCIDENT,
AND I HAVE TO LEAVE RIGHT AWAY.
Brewster says, IT CAN'T BE HELPED.
Wilson says, I'M SURE YOU'LL FIND
SOME OTHER CHUGGERS TO LEND
A WHEEL.
[Siren wails]

Puffer Pete says, RATTLING RIVETS.

[Dunbar laughs]

[Whirring, upbeat music plays]

On the mountain, Fletch picks up a load of rocks and drops them into a gondola car.
[Clattering rocks]
At the yard, Brewster couples up to the tunnel boring machine.
[Clunk, upbeat music plays]

YOU'RE REALLY STRONG.
Brewster tries to pull the machine. Sparks fly from his wheels.
[Straining, rattling]
Puffer Pete says, HANG ON,
YOUNGSTER. I'VE ROUNDED UP
SOME EXTRA WHEELS FOR YOU.
Brewster says, WOW.
THANKS, PETE.
Zephie, a green, yellow and brown scissor-lift chugger, spins.
[Rumbling, bells ring]
Zephie says, HI, BREWSTER.
Piper, an orange cab-forward steam engine, says, HI.
Hodge, a brown and blue chugger, says, HEY, BREWSTER.
[Beeping]
Hoot and Toot say, HOOT AND
TOOT ARE HERE TO HELP.
[Clatter]
Brewster says, OH, GREAT.
WELL, OKAY, EVERYONE. FORM A
LINE BEHIND THE MACHINE, PLEASE.
The chuggers line up behind the machine. Brewster stays in front of it.
[Thunk]

[Grunting, upbeat music plays]

Brewster opens and closes his doors. The other chuggers slam their doors to the rhythm.

Olwin couples up to Chatsworth and tows him.

Brewster and Wilson arrive at the yard and stop beside the tunnel boring machine.
[Clanking]
Brewster says, HONKING HORNS!
Wilson says, WOWZER.
Puffer Pete says, ENORMOUS, ISN'T IT?
Brewster says, THAT LOOKS REALLY HEAVY.
[Clank]
Wilson says, DON'T WORRY, BREWSTER.
WE'LL MANAGE.
[Beeping]
Jackman says, over the Chugcom, JACKMAN TO WILSON.
Brewster grumbles, OH, NO.
Tyne puts sticks of dynamite in holes in the rock wall. She backs towards Fletch and Zack.
[Whirring, tense music plays]
Tyne says, POSITIONS, PLEASE, CHUGGINEERS.
[Laughing]
Tyne says, I'M READY TO MAKE SOME NOISE.
Fletch teases, YOU'RE ALWAYS NOISY.
Tyne says, PROUD TO BE LOUD.
OKAY, SAFETY FIRST.
AREA CLEAR. VISOR DOWN.
[Whirring]

The dynamite explodes and rubble falls on the track.
[Explosion]

Small rocks hit Zack and Fletch and they back up.

Fletch says, WHOA. IT'S GOING
TO TAKE US A WHILE TO SHIFT

Zack says, THEN LET'S GET MOVING.
WE NEED IT CLEARED BEFORE
BREWSTER GETS HERE.
At the yard, Brewster waits beside Wilson.
[Tense music plays]
Jackman says, over Chugcom, WAIT
WITH HER AND DO A RISK REPORT.
Wilson says, GOT IT, CHIEF.

I'M REALLY SORRY, BREWSTER.
THERE'S BEEN AN ACCIDENT,

Brewster says, IT CAN'T BE HELPED.

SOME OTHER CHUGGERS TO LEND
A WHEEL.
[Siren wails]
Wilson says, I'M CHUG PATROL,
AND I'M READY TO ROLL.
Puffer Pete says, RATTLING RIVETS.
THIS'LL KEEP ME BUSY, DUNBAR.
[Dunbar laughs]
Dunbar says, THIS IS ONLY HALF
OF IT. I'LL BE BACK SOON WITH
THE NEXT LOAD.
[Whirring, upbeat music plays]
Brewster says, OH, EVERYONE'S SO
BUSY TODAY.
HOW AM I GOING TO DELIVER THE
TUNNEL BORER NOW THAT THERE'S
NO TEAM LEFT?
[Brewster sighs]
Brewster says, SOME TEAM LEADER

On the mountain, Fletch picks up a load of rocks and drops them into a gondola car.
[Clattering rocks]
At the yard, Brewster couples up to the tunnel boring machine.
[Clunk, upbeat music plays]
Brewster says, COME ON, BREWSTER.
YOU'RE REALLY STRONG.
Brewster tries to pull the machine. Sparks fly from his wheels.
[Straining, rattling]
Puffer Pete says, HANG ON,
YOUNGSTER. I'VE ROUNDED UP
SOME EXTRA WHEELS FOR YOU.
Brewster says, WOW.
THANKS, PETE.
Zephie, a green, yellow and brown scissor-lift chugger, spins.
[Rumbling, bells ring]
Zephie says, HI, BREWSTER.
Piper, an orange cab-forward steam engine, says, HI.
Hodge, a brown and blue chugger, says, HEY, BREWSTER.
[Beeping]
Hoot and Toot say, HOOT AND
TOOT ARE HERE TO HELP.
[Clatter]
Brewster says, OH, GREAT.
WELL, OKAY, EVERYONE. FORM A
LINE BEHIND THE MACHINE, PLEASE.
The chuggers line up behind the machine. Brewster stays in front of it.
[Thunk]
Brewster says, OKAY, EVERYONE. PUSH.
[Grunting, upbeat music plays]
Toot says, YOU'RE NOT PUSHING HARD
ENOUGH, HOOT.
Hoot says, I AM, TOO.
Toot says, ARE NOT.
[Piper sighs]
Zephie complains, I'M ONLY LITTLE.
[Sighing]
Hodge says, WE'LL NEVER MOVE THIS.
Hoot says, IT'S TOO HEAVY.
[Brewster sighs]
Brewster says, THIS ISN'T GOING TO WORK.
Fletch fills a blue gondola car.
[Rattling rocks]
Fletch says, GOOD TO GO, TYNE.
[Clatter]

Brewster opens and closes his doors. The other chuggers slam their doors to the rhythm.
[Doors slam rhythmically]

MACHINE MOVING, BUT ONCE IT'S
IN MOTION IT WILL BE SO MUCH
EASIER TO PUSH.
COME ON. HELP ME OUT.
[Doors slam, horns honk]
Brewster chants, HEY-HEY
WE ARE THE PUSHING TEAM.
I'M BREWSTER.
Zephie chants, I'M ZEPHIE.
[Ding]
Hoot says, I'M HOOT.
[Horn blares]

[Whistle blows]

[Horn honks]
