Wilson chugs to the park.
Mtambo, a yellow chugger with green, brown and black camouflage lines on his side, pushes open large wooden gates leading to the park. Emery, a silver passenger chugger with one green eye and one blue eye, waits at a platform outside of the park. The sky above them is orange and pink as the sun sets.
[Elephant trumpets, monkey calls, thunk]
Mtambo says, THANK YOU FOR
TAKING MY SUNSET RIDE.
EMERY IS WAITING SO DO STEP
INSIDE.
Passengers disembark from Mtambo and walk to Emery.
[Background chatter, energetic music plays]
Emery says, PLEASE WATCH YOUR STEP.
[Mtambo honks his horn]
Mtambo says, GOOD NIGHT, EVERYONE.
Mtambo backs into the park and the park gates swing shut.
[Squeak, click]
Zack, Tyne, Fletch and Brewster chug towards the park. Zack is a blue and white striped chugger, Tyne has orange and white stripes and Fletch has green and white stripes. Wilson catches up on a track beside them.
[Wilson honks, upbeat music plays]
Wilson says, HI, EVERYONE!
Zack and Tyne say, HEY, WILSON!
Fletch says, ALRIGHT, WILSON!
Brewster says, WOW, A CHUG PATROL ESCORT!

In the park, a ramp on the side of a train car closes. A large grey rhinoceros stands inside.
[Thunk]
Dr. Gosling, a slender man with short brown hair, says, GOOD BOY.
[Rhinoceros snorts, crickets chirp]
Dr. Gosling says, MTAMBO WILL TAKE YOU TO YOUR
TEMPORARY HOME.
Mtambo says, THANK YOU FOR
YOUR HELP, DR. GOSLING.
Dr. Gosling says, 'NIGHT.
[Rhinoceros snorts]
Wilson stops beside Zack inside the park.
[Monkey calls, crickets chirp, whirring]
Wilson says, SEE YOU LATER, CHUGGINEERS.
I'LL CLOSE THE PARK GATES AND
KEEP WATCH. SAFETY FIRST!
Zack says, THANKS, CHUG PATROLLER.
Wilson says, OH, WHEN YOU COME BACK,

The gates shut and Wilson backs up on the outside.
[Creak, click]
Wilson says, NOBODY IS GOING

[Slam]
In the darkness, the car ramp falls to the ground and the rhinoceros walks down it.
Mtambo says, I HOPE YOU WILL BE
COMFORTABLE HERE.
[Rhinoceros snorts]
Mtambo says, GOODNIGHT.
Mtambo closes enclosure gates.
[Rhinoceros grumbles, whirring]
At the roundhouses, Puffer Pete backs into his shed.
Puffer Pete says, PHEW.
THAT WAS A BUSY DAY!
[Yawns]
Puffer Pete, a black steam engine with red trim, says, I WORKED MY WHEELS OFF!
[Steam vents]
Koko says, YEAH, ME TOO, PETE.
FELT LIKE I WENT TO EVERY
STATION IN CHUGGINGTON.
Puffer Pete asks, WHERE'S BREWSTER
AND WHATSIT?
Koko says, THEY'RE BOTH WORKING LATE.
[Pete yawns]

Puffer Pete’s door closes.
[Clank, snoring, chuckling]

Tyne looks around uneasily as she follows Zack into a dark enclosure at the park. Fletch slowly moves forward on a track beside her.
[Tense music plays, whooshing]
Tyne asks, YOU ARE SURE THE RHINO'S
NOT HERE, AREN'T YOU, ZACK?
[Fletch roars, Tyne screams, Fletch laughs]
Tyne says, FLETCHER, IT'S NOT FUNNY!
Fletch says, SORRY.
Zack says, THE RHINO IS DEFINITELY

[Animals call]

An owl lands on a roundhouse roof. Puffer Pete’s door opens.
Puffer Pete mumbles, I'LL GET STRAIGHT
ON IT, ZACK.
[Snoring, upbeat music plays, Puffer Pete yawns]
Puffer Pete mumbles, THREE LOADS
OF BALLAST COMING UP.
[Owl hoots]
Zack and Brewster face Fletch and Tyne beneath lamp posts.
[Squeaking, animals call]

Fletch digs up the broken track with a small crane car.

The gates swing open behind Wilson.
[Squeak, insects chitter]
Irving says, UNDERSTOOD.
[Whirring, creaking, slam, horn honks]
Puffer Pete shouts, CABOOSE ON THE LOOSE!

Puffer Pete stops at the platform outside of the park entrance.
[Steam vents, upbeat music plays, gasp]
Wilson asks, WHERE, PETE?
Puffer Pete says, UNDER MY SMOKE STACK.

[Clank, steam hisses]
Irving stops beside Wilson and watches Puffer Pete.

Irving shunts Puffer Pete away from the park. Inside the park, Zack, Fletch, Tyne and Brewster lay new track.
[Clanking, banging, creaking, squeaking]
[Wilson yawns, insects chitter]
Later, Puffer Pete rolls towards Wilson.
Puffer Pete says, FILL 'ER UP, HOWIE.
WASH AND POLISH TOO, IF YOU PLEASE.
Wilson says, OH, NO, NOT AGAIN.
[Steam hisses]
Puffer Pete says, MUCH OBLIGED.

Wilson couples up to Puffer Pete and tows him.

Wilson approaches the coloured tunnels. He stops and looks up at a track. Puffer Pete stops on the higher track.
[Insects chitter]

I CAN FEEL IT IN ME WATER TANK.
Wilson says, OH, BUMPERS, I HAVE
TO GET BACK TO THE PARK.
Puffer Pete says, TAKE COVER!
[Rock music plays]

Wilson rides a lift up to the higher track. Puffer Pete rides another lift down to ground level.
[Beeping, whirring, ringing, steam hisses, upbeat music plays]

[Tooting]

Wilson watches Puffer Pete chug towards the rhinoceros.
[Gasp, steam hisses, squeaking]

At the roundhouses, Puffer Pete backs into his shed.
Puffer Pete says, PHEW.

[Yawns]
Puffer Pete, a black steam engine with red trim, says, I WORKED MY WHEELS OFF!
[Steam vents]
Koko says, YEAH, ME TOO, PETE.
FELT LIKE I WENT TO EVERY
STATION IN CHUGGINGTON.
Puffer Pete asks, WHERE'S BREWSTER
AND WHATSIT?
Koko says, THEY'RE BOTH WORKING LATE.
[Pete yawns]
Puffer Pete says, OH-HO, GLAD I'M NOT.
I COULD SLEEP FOR A WEEK.
NIGHT, ALL.
Koko and Hoot say, GOODNIGHT.
Puffer Pete’s door closes.
[Clank, snoring, chuckling]
Koko says, SLEEP TIGHT, PETE.

[Clank]
Tyne looks around uneasily as she follows Zack into a dark enclosure at the park. Fletch slowly moves forward on a track beside her.
[Tense music plays, whooshing]
Tyne asks, YOU ARE SURE THE RHINO'S
NOT HERE, AREN'T YOU, ZACK?
[Fletch roars, Tyne screams, Fletch laughs]
Tyne says, FLETCHER, IT'S NOT FUNNY!
Fletch says, SORRY.
Zack says, THE RHINO IS DEFINITELY
NOT HERE, TYNE.
HE'S SAFELY OUT OF THE WAY.
[Animals call]
Brewster says, AND DR. GOSLING SAYS
HE'S ONLY DANGEROUS IF YOU
SURPRISE HIM. POOR RHINOS DON'T
HAVE GOOD EYESIGHT.
Fletch says, THAT EXPLAINS WHY HE
KEEPS STOMPING ON THE TRACK THEN!
[Zack chuckles, upbeat music plays]
Zack says, OKAY, LET'S GET SOME LIGHT
ON THE JOB AND GET TO WORK.
[Squeaking, whirring]
Bats fly past the glowing full moon.
[Wilson sighs, cricket chirp]
Wilson says, LOOKS LIKE I'M IN
FOR A QUIET TIME.
[Owl hoots]
An owl lands on a roundhouse roof. Puffer Pete’s door opens.
Puffer Pete mumbles, I'LL GET STRAIGHT
ON IT, ZACK.
[Snoring, upbeat music plays, Puffer Pete yawns]
Puffer Pete mumbles, THREE LOADS
OF BALLAST COMING UP.
[Owl hoots]
Zack and Brewster face Fletch and Tyne beneath lamp posts.
[Squeaking, animals call]
Zack says, FLETCH AND BREWSTER,
YOU START DIGGING THOSE RAILS
OUT AND TYNE AND I'LL PICK 'EM UP.
[Clanking, upbeat music plays]
Fletch says, I'M ON IT, ZACK.
Fletch digs up the broken track with a small crane car.
[Clanking]
Wilson waits outside the park gates.
[Monkey chatters, horn honks]
Wilson asks, WHO GOES THERE?
Irving, a dark red chugger, says, IT'S IRVING.
I'VE GOT TO PICK UP THE PARK RECYCLING.
Wilson says, OKAY, IRVING, YOU MAY PASS.
TO GET BACK THE PASSWORD IS
"HAIRY MONKEYS."
The gates swing open behind Wilson.
[Squeak, insects chitter]
Irving says, UNDERSTOOD.
[Whirring, creaking, slam, horn honks]
Puffer Pete shouts, CABOOSE ON THE LOOSE!
CABOOSE ON THE LOOSE!
Puffer Pete stops at the platform outside of the park entrance.
[Steam vents, upbeat music plays, gasp]
Wilson asks, WHERE, PETE?
Puffer Pete says, UNDER MY SMOKE STACK.
[Clattering]
Wilson says, HUH?
Irving says, HAIRY MONKEYS!
[Clank, steam hisses]
Irving stops beside Wilson and watches Puffer Pete.
[Upbeat music plays]
Puffer Pete says, I'LL GRAB 'EM WITH MY CRANE.
ROLL BACK.
Irving says, OH DEAR, OH DEAR, OH DEAR.
Wilson asks, WHAT'S WRONG WITH PETE?
WHY'S HE ACTING SO FUNNY?
Irving replies, HE'S SLEEP RIDING.
DOES IT EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE.
NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
Puffer Pete says, SMOKE STACK!
Wilson shouts, WAKE UP, PETE!
[Clatter, insects chitter]
Irving says, OH NO, YOU MUSTN'T
WAKE HIM. IT CAN BE VERY
UNSETTLING. I'LL TAKE HIM HOME.
Wilson says, THANKS, IRVING, I CAN'T
HAVE A SLEEP RIDING CHUGGER IN
THE PARK ON MY WATCH!
Puffer Pete says, NOT ON YOUR NELLY!
SMOKE STACK, WHEELS TO THE
RAILS, PISTONS.
[Upbeat music plays]
Irving shunts Puffer Pete away from the park. Inside the park, Zack, Fletch, Tyne and Brewster lay new track.
[Clanking, banging, creaking, squeaking]
[Wilson yawns, insects chitter]
Later, Puffer Pete rolls towards Wilson.
Puffer Pete says, FILL 'ER UP, HOWIE.
WASH AND POLISH TOO, IF YOU PLEASE.
Wilson says, OH, NO, NOT AGAIN.
[Steam hisses]
Puffer Pete says, MUCH OBLIGED.
Wilson asks, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
PETE NEEDS TO BE TAKEN HOME,
BUT I CAN'T LEAVE MY POST.
Puffer Pete says, SUCH A BUSY DAY AHEAD.
SO MUCH TO DO.
[Steam hisses]
Wilson says, BUT IT'S ALSO NOT SAFE
TO LET PETE SLEEP RIDE AROUND.
I'LL HAVE TO ESCORT HIM HOME.
[Horn honks]
Puffer Pete says, NEXT STOP TOOTINGTON.
Wilson couples up to Puffer Pete and tows him.
[Upbeat music plays]
Puffer Pete says, OH, BEG YOUR PARDON,
I GOT A BUBBLE IN ME WATER TANK.
Wilson says, LUCKY IT'S NOT FAR TO GO.
[Pete chuckles, whirring, owl hoots, clanking]
Wilson puts Puffer Pete in his shed and the door closes.
[Clanking, whirring]
Wilson whispers, STAY SAFE, PETE.
I'M CHUG PATROL AND I'M IN CONTROL.
Wilson approaches the coloured tunnels. He stops and looks up at a track. Puffer Pete stops on the higher track.
[Insects chitter]
Puffer Pete shouts, RATTLING RIVETS!
OH YES, STORM'S COMING.
I CAN FEEL IT IN ME WATER TANK.
Wilson says, OH, BUMPERS, I HAVE
TO GET BACK TO THE PARK.
Puffer Pete says, TAKE COVER!
[Rock music plays]
Wilson says, NO, I'M CHUG PATROL,
IT'S MY JOB TO KEEP CHUGGERS SAFE.
Wilson rides a lift up to the higher track. Puffer Pete rides another lift down to ground level.
[Beeping, whirring, ringing, steam hisses, upbeat music plays]
Puffer Pete says, OH-HO, THEY NEEDED
IT YESTERDAY.
YOU'RE A BIT QUIET TODAY,
AREN'T YA? ANYWAY, CAN'T STOP.
BYE FOR NOW.
Zack, Brewster, Fletch and Tyne rock on the tracks in the park.
[They all shush, upbeat music plays]
They all quietly sing, WE ARE CHUGGINEERING.
Fletch quietly sings, FIXING RHINO FLATTENED TRACK.
[Creaking, clanking]
They all quietly sing, WE ARE CHUGGINEERING.
[Monkeys chatter]
Brewster sings, WATCH OUT FOR
THE MONKEYS, ZACK.
Monkeys climb on to Zack.
[All shush again, monkeys chatter]
Tyne says, OOPS, TOO LATE.
Zack says, SHOO, GET OFF, I'VE GOT
WORK TO DO! SHOO, SHOO!
[Clattering]
Wilson follows Puffer Pete.
[Upbeat music plays]
Wilson says, GOTCHA, WHEELS TO THE RAILS.
Puffer Pete pushes the gates of the park open and sleep rides inside. Wilson stops at the gates.
Wilson says, OH, BIG BUMPERS.
Wilson chugs into the park. His blue emergency lights flash.
Puffer Pete says, SORRY TO KEEP
YOU WAITING. ALL ABOARD.
[Tooting]
Puffer Pete says, SPECIAL DELIVERY.
Wilson watches Puffer Pete chug towards the rhinoceros.
[Gasp, steam hisses, squeaking]
Puffer Pete says, WHERE DO YOU WANT IT?
[Rhinoceros snores]
Wilson says, OH NO, I HAVE TO GET PETE OUT
OF HERE BEFORE HE WAKES THE RHINO!
Puffer Pete says, PUT IT OVER HERE SHALL I?
THREE LOADS OF... OH, NOW WHAT WAS IT.
[Croaking]
Puffer Pete says, FROGS!
[Toots, Wilson gasps, rhinoceros yawns, upbeat music plays]
Puffer Pete says, I'LL BE THERE IN
TWO CLICKETY-CLACKS.
Wilson says, THIS IS A DISASTER.
I'VE LET A SLEEP RIDING CHUGGER
INTO THE PARK.
Zack, Tyne, Fletch and Brewster work on the track beneath the bright full moon.
[Upbeat music plays]
They quietly sing, WE ARE CHUGGINEERING.
UNDER THE LIGHT OF THE MOON.

Zack quietly sings, STAND BY,
I'LL BE FINISHED SOON.
[Engine hums]
Puffer Pete leaves the rhinoceros temporary enclosure. Wilson closes the gates behind him.
[Squeak, clunk]
Wilson says, PHEW.
Zack says, OUTSTANDING!
AWESOME JOB, CHUGGINEERS.
Puffer Pete sings, FA DEE FA DEE FOO.
[Steam hisses]
Wilson says, I'M SO SORRY.
HE'S SLEEP RIDING.
I COULDN'T STOP HIM COMING IN.
Fletch says, OH, NOT AGAIN.
Zack says, IT'S OKAY, WILSON.
ANYWAY, WE'VE FINISHED.
THE TRACK'S ALL FIXED.
[Puffer Pete sings in background, insects chirp]
Tyne says, YEAH, WE'RE ABOUT
TO HEAD HOME.
Brewster says, WE'LL HELP YOU WITH PETE.
Wilson says, PERFECTO, IF WE CAN
GET HIM BACK TO THE DEPOT, I THINK
I MIGHT KNOW A WAY TO KEEP HIM SAFE.
[Exciting music plays, whirring]
Wilson stands beside a ramp by the Chug Patrol Headquarters.
Wilson whispers, OKAY, GUIDE PETE
TOWARDS ME.
Pete sleep rides on to the ramp. A device pulls him up onto a transporter wagon and locks snap between his wheels.
[Whirring, clicking, clanking]
Wilson says, PERFECTO.
PETE'S SAFE.
Tyne says, GO, WILSON.
[Clank]
Fletch says, QUALITY THINKING.
Brewster says, GREAT IDEA.
Zack says, HEY, GOOD JOB, WILSON.
[Wilson yawns]
Wilson says, NOW I HAVE
TO GET SOME SLEEP.
[Dinging]
Vee announces, TIME TO WAKE
UP, CHUGGINGTON.
[Puffer Pete mumbles, yawns, upbeat music plays]
Puffer Pete says, WHAT A SUPER NIGHT'S REST.
[Laughs]
Puffer Pete says, HAD SOME FUNNY OLD
DREAMS THOUGH.
[Puffer Pete laughs, clanking]
Puffer Pete says, WAIT A MINUTE!
HOW DID I GET HERE?
Wilson mumbles sleepily, YOU WERE SLEEP
RIDING AGAIN, PETE.
[Whirring]
Jackman says, MORNING CHUGGERS.
[Laughs, upbeat music plays]
Jackman says, SMART THINKING!
HEARD YOU'D FOUND A NEW USE
FOR CP-SIX, WILSON.
[Wilson yawns]
Wilson says, I COULD SLEEP FOR A WEEK.
Puffer Pete backs off transporter wagon CP-Six.
Puffer Pete says, HOO-HOO, YOUNGSTERS
THESE DAYS, NO STAMINA!
[Steam hisses, Wilson snores]
[Jackman and Puffer Pete laugh]
[Upbeat music plays]
