ADVENTURE AND FUN 'ROUND

A green train, red train, and yellow and blue train chug side by side on track.

The red train says, I'M WILSON.

The yellow and blue train says, I'M BREWSTER.

The green train says, AND I'M KOKO!

[Bubbles pop, upbeat music plays]

Action Chugger flies through the air.

[Crickets chirp, squeak, upbeat music plays]

Two trains stop on shadowy tracks, uncouple from their cars, and chug away. As the sky lightens, trains drop off more cargo cars and leave.

[Birds chirp, train engine rumbles]

Text reads, “Delivery Challenge by Sarah Ball.”

A voice announces, DELIVERY CHALLENGE!

Cormac, a green engine, says, OH,
MY ACHING ENGINE.

I DIDN'T EXPECT THIS MUCH IN
FROM THE DOCKS.

HOPE YOU'VE GOT YOUR FAST
WHEELS ON TODAY, PETE.

Puffer Pete, a black steam engine with red trim stops by Cormac.

Pete says, NOPE. JUST MY USUAL
SLOW AND STEADY ONES, CORMAC.

Cormac says, BUT SPEED IS WHAT
WE NEED TO GET THIS DELIVERED
AROUND CHUGGINGTON.

Pete says, OH, NO.
SLOW IS THE WAY TO GO.

[Cormac scoffs, Pete vents steam]

Cormac says, THEN IT'LL TAKE
YOU ALL DAY TO DO YOUR SHARE.

Pete says, NEVER HAS YET.

Cormac says, I TELL YOU WHAT,
PETE. I CHALLENGE YOU TO A
DELIVERY CONTEST.

Pete says, ALL RIGHTY.
YOU'RE ON.

[Cormac chuckles, energetic music plays]

Cormac says, THIS IS GOING
TO BE SO EASY.

Zack, a blue and white striped engine stops by Tyne, an orange and white striped engine, and Fletch, a green and white striped engine.

Zack says, 'MORNING, CHUGGINEERS.

Tyne says, 'MORNING.

Fletch says, OKAY, ZACK.
WHAT ARE WE DOING TODAY?

Zack says, WE'RE RELINING A
TUNNEL, FLETCH.

Tyne says, ALL RIGHT.
I'LL GET MY BOLTING CAR.
HOW EXCITING.

Fletch says, TAKE IT EASY, TYNE.

[Energetic music plays]

Later, Zack stops in a tunnel as Fletch and Tyne follow him.

Zack says, HERE WE ARE.

Fletch asks, HOW LONG HAVE
WE GOT?

Zack says, VEE HAS GOT THIS ROUTE
CLOSED UNTIL FOUR P.M. THAT'S
AS LONG AS SHE CAN GIVE US.

THESE TUNNELS ARE VERY BUSY.

[Horn honks, engines rumble]

Tyne says, THEN WE'D BETTER
GET TO WORK.

Elsewhere, Pete says, THREE
CONTAINERS TO GO TO THE
SAFARI PARK.

Cormac says, TWO, THREE.
I'LL TAKE THEM.

AND TWO FOR YOU TO GO TO
THE FARM, PETE.

[Thumping]

Pete couples up to three red fuel tanks.

Pete says, TWO TANKERS OF FUEL
FOR THE WORKING WHEELS YARD.
AND ONE FOR THE FOUNDRY.

Cormac watches a crane lift a large crate.

[Creaking]

He asks, WHAT'S IN THAT CRATE?

Pete replies, A NEW CAR FOR CHUG
PATROL. I'LL TAKE IT TO THEM.

AND THIS IS LIGHTING GEAR FOR
ACTION CHUGGER'S NEW MOVIE.

Cormac says, HEY, AWESOME.
I'LL TAKE THAT.

ONE OF THESE DAYS, ACTION
CHUGGER IS GOING TO NOTICE ME,
AND I'LL BECOME A MOVIE STAR.

[Whirring, thumping]

Pete says, HEY, HEY.
DREAM ON, CORMAC.

WHAT ABOUT THIS TIMER FOR
THE CHUG-A-SONIC SPEED TRACK?

Cormac says, I'LL TAKE THAT,
TOO. I LOVE THE SPEED TRACK.

AND THESE ARE SIGNAL LIGHTS
TO GO TO EDDIE'S WORKSHOP.
YOU TAKE THEM, PETE.

[Thunk, banging]

Pete says, OKEY-DOKE.

SO, THAT JUST LEAVES THESE
TUNNEL-LINING SECTIONS TO
GO TO THE CHUGGINEERS.

Cormac says, MINE.

Pete says, THEY'RE HEAVY,
YOU KNOW.

[Pete laughs]

Cormac says, NO SWEAT. I CAN
HANDLE A FEW TUNNEL SECTIONS.

Tyne, Fletch, and Zack remove sections of the tunnel.

[Drill whirrs, upbeat music plays]

Pete couples up to a long line of cars.

Skylar, an orange engine, asks, READY, GUYS?

Cormac says, YEP.

Pete says, READY AS I'LL
EVER BE.

Skylar says, SO, MAKE ALL OF YOUR
DELIVERIES, AND MEET EACH OTHER
IN FRONT OF CPHQ.

FIRST ONE THERE IS THE WINNER.

Cormac says, OH-HO-HO-HO!
THIS IS EXCITING.

Skylar says, THREE, TWO,
ONE. GO!

Cormac strains and sparks fly from his wheels as he slowly moves forward.

[Cormac grunts]

Skylar says, GO, ON, PETE.

[Upbeat music plays]

Pete says, IN A MINUTE.

I NEED TO HAVE A LITTLE THINK.

FIRST STOP IS THE FOUNDRY,
WHICH IS THAT WAY, BUT THE
CITY IS THIS WAY.

SO, IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO
TAKE ALL THESE CARS WITH ME,
'CAUSE I HAVE TO COME BY
HERE AGAIN.

Skylar agrees, YEAH, PETE. MIGHT
AS WELL SAVE SOME ENERGY.

[Pete whistles happily, thunk, vents steam]

Cormac says, COME ON, CORMAC.

[Cormac grunts]

[Birds chirp]

Brewster stops as Pete chugs past in front of him.

Pete says, 'MORNING, BREWSTER.

Brewster says, 'MORNING, PETE.

[Steam hisses]

Emery waits beside a platform as passengers board.

[Passengers chatter]

[Cormac sighs]

Emery asks, YOU OKAY, CORMAC?

Cormac says, HI, EMERY.
OH, YEAH.

JUST HAVING A DELIVERY
COMPETITION WITH PETE.

[Brakes squeak, birds chirp, monkeys call]

Emery says, THAT SOUNDS KIND
OF UNFAIR.

Cormac says, I KNOW.
I OFFERED TO GIVE HIM A HEAD
START, BUT HE WOULDN'T TAKE IT.

[Emery chuckles]

Emery says, I MEANT UNFAIR TO
YOU, CORMAC.

[Cormac laughs]

Cormac says, YOU'RE SUCH A
TEASE, EMERY.

[Emery honks his horn, upbeat music plays]

Elsewhere, Pete backs up and uncouples from a train car. He couples up to two green cars.

[Pete whistles happily, clanking]

[Cormac grunts unhappily, wheels screech on track]

Cormac’s cars wobble as he backs into a siding.

[Clanking, sigh]

Koko waits beside a platform as Pete chugs up to the platform beside her.

Koko says, HI.

Pete leaves a car beside the platform and chugs away.

Pete says, 'MORNING.

[Bell, Pete whistles]

Elsewhere, Cormac grumbles, OH, BOY.
IT'S A LONG WAY TO THE QUARRY.

OOH, FEEL THE BURN.

Inside the tunnel, Zack roll up to Tyne and Fletch.

Zack says, LOOKING
GOOD, CHUGGINEERS.

Fletch says, THANKS.

WHERE ARE THE NEW TUNNEL
SECTIONS, ZACK?

Zack says, THEY CAME IN FROM
THE DOCKS THIS MORNING, SO
I'M EXPECTING THEM TO BE
DELIVERED SOON.

Cormac struggles to pull his load up a hill.

[Grunting, wheels squeak]

Cormac says, OH, PETE WAS RIGHT
ABOUT THESE TUNNEL SECTIONS.

HOLD ON, CORMAC.

The cars holding the tunnel sections uncouple and slide backwards down the hill.

[Thunk, dramatic music plays]

Cormac shouts, OH, NO! STOP.

Back at the train depot, Pete backs towards the last of his cars and couples up.

[Steam vents, thunk]

Pete says, SO, THEN NOW, I CAN
TAKE THE REST OF YOU.

[Pete whistles]

[Dramatic music plays]

Cormac rolls backwards as he chases his runaway cars.

Cormac shouts, OH, NO!
COME BACK.

The cars roll into a siding and stop.

Cormac says, PHEW. GOOD CATCH,
CHUG-CATCHER. YOU CAN ALL
STAY THERE FOR NOW.

BACK SOON.

Cormac chugs away, leaving his tunnel cars in the siding. At the quarry, Speedy, a dark red train, empties a cart full of rocks as Cormac arrives.

Cormac shouts, SPEEDY? DELIVERY.

Speedy says, MUCH OBLIGED.

Cormac uncouples from the cars.

[Clanking]

Cormac says, SO, WHAT'S NEXT?

Action Chugger flies over Cormac.

[Whoosh]

Cormac exclaims, OH, NO.

ACTION CHUGGER IS ALREADY
FILMING. WAIT FOR ME.

[Horn]

[Pete whistles]

Pete stops.

Jackman says, WE'RE CHUG PATROL...

Calley says, ...AND WE'RE IN CONTROL.

[Siren wails]

Pete says, NOW, THEN, FIRST STOP,
THE WORKING WHEELS YARD.

ALWAYS DELIVER THE HEAVY
LOAD FIRST.

[Creaking, chugging]

Elsewhere, Cormac watches as Action Chugger leaves a trail of red and pink smoke as he flies.

[Whoosh]

A director says, AND CUT.

Cormac says, HEY, HEY! HOORAY.

[Clank]

Cormac says JUST THIS TIMER
TO GET TO THE SPEED TRACK.

OH, CORMAC, YOU'RE GOING TO WIN
THIS WHEELS DOWN. WOO-HOO!

[Upbeat music plays, thunk]

In the tunnel, Fletch asks, ZACK, ANY
SIGN OF THOSE NEW SECTIONS YET?

Zack says, STOP WORRYING, FLETCH.
THEY'LL BE HERE.

[Tyne giggles]

Tyne says, HE CAN'T HELP IT.
HE'S A WORRY WHEEL.

Fletch says, AM NOT, TYNE.
CUT IT OUT.

Hanzo, a blue and white train, stops beside Cormac as Cormac uncouples his car.

Cormac says, HERE'S YOUR NEW
TIMER, HANZO. I'VE ALWAYS
WANTED TO TRY MY WHEELS
AT RACING.

CAN I TAKE A SPIN?

Hanzo says, BE MY GUEST, CORMAC.

[Birds chirp]

Cormac says, I'M PRETTY FAST,
YOU KNOW.

Hanzo says, ON YOUR TRACK.
GET SET. GO.

[Exciting music plays]

Cormac narrates as he races himself.

Cormac says, AND CORMAC, THE
REIGNING CHAMPION, LEAVES
THE OTHER CHALLENGERS IN
THE DUST.

HE'S SUPERSONIC, A BLUR, FASTER
THAN ACTION CHUGGER!
HE'S UNSTOPPABLE.

Hanzo smiles and races past Cormac.

Cormac says, WOW! WOO!

THAT WAS FUN, HANZO.

Hanzo says, ANYTIME.

[Horn honks]

Cormac chugs in the tunnel

Tyne says, THAT'S THE LAST ONE.

Zack says, I'D BETTER GO AND
CHASE UP THOSE TUNNEL SECTIONS.

[Cormac gasps]

Cormac says, TUNNEL SECTIONS!
OH, NO.

THEY'RE STILL ON THE MOUNTAIN.

Fletch says, IF WE DON'T HAVE
THEM SOON, WE WON'T GET THE
LINE REOPENED IN TIME.

Cormac says, CATASTROPHE.

HASTE MAKES WASTE, CORMAC.
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?

Cormac sadly shakes his head.

Elsewhere, Pete backs up as Eddie gives him a thumbs up.

[Whoosh, bell rings]

Eddie says, AH, NICE ONE.



Pete says, MY PLEASURE, EDDIE.

WOO-HOO-HOO!

NEARLY DONE.

CHUG PATROL HQ, HERE I COME.

[Squeak, whistle, steam vents]

Cormac stops by the Chug Patrol HQ.

He shouts, QUICK, HELP.

I NEED TO PULL SOME CARS OUT
OF THE CHUG-CATCHER.

HELLO?

[Cormac sighs]

He shouts, ANYBODY?

[Steam hisses]

Pete says, THE CHUG PATROLLERS
ARE ON AN EMERGENCY CALL-OUT.

Cormac says, OH, NO.

[Clanking]

Pete says, CONGRATULATIONS ON
WINNING THE CHALLENGE, CORMAC.

Cormac says, BUT I DIDN'T WIN, PETE.
YOU DID.

Pete says, REALLY?

[Steam hisses]

Cormac says, YEAH.

I LOST THE TUNNEL SECTIONS
IN THE CHUG-CATCHER ON
THE MOUNTAIN.

OH, THEY'RE MILES AWAY, AND
I CAN'T PULL THEM OUT OF THE
SAND MYSELF.

[Upbeat music plays]

Pete says, THEN I'LL HELP YOU.

Cormac says, OH, THANKS.
THIS TIME, I'LL DO IT YOUR WAY:
SLOW AND STEADY.

[Upbeat music plays]

Fletch lifts a tunnel section into place and Tyne lifts her drill.

[Thunk, drill whirrs]

Cormac and Pete drive out of the tunnel together.

Cormac says, THANKS FOR YOUR
HELP, PETE. I'VE LEARNED A LOT
TODAY. SLOW AND STEADY IS
DEFINITELY THE WAY.

[Steam hisses]
Pete says, NOT ALWAYS.

Hanzo watches Pete and Cormac race on the track.

[Rumbling]

Pete says, THERE'S LIFE IN THIS
OLD ENGINE YET.

[Pete and Cormac laugh]


[Upbeat music plays]

Voices sing, LET'S TRAIN TOGETHER.
TOGETHER.

WE'RE SO MUCH BETTER AS
A TEAM.

LET'S TRAIN TOGETHER.
