Transcript: Wind in the Web / The Pokey Plant
Elinor, a white rabbit with long straight dark brown hair, wears a red and purple dress. She runs on a dirt path and stops to look at a monarch butterfly perched on a grey rock.
[Happy music plays]
Elinor sings, WHEREVER I GO
I SEE THINGS THAT I WANT
TO KNOW,
WHEREVER I AM I FIND THINGS
I WANT TO UNDERSTAND.
GO AND EXPLORE, LISTEN AND SEE
JUST FOLLOW YOUR CURIOSITY.
Elinor smiles as she sings on a swing on a swing set. Olive Elephant swings on a swing beside her. Olive wears a blue bow on her head, with a blue shirt, skirts and leggings. Ari Bat hands upside down from the bar on the top of the swing set.
Voices sing, ELINOR WONDERS WHY.
Elinor sings, WHY DO BIRDS SING?
AND HOW DO THEY FLY?
Voices sing, ELINOR WONDERS WHY.
Elinor watches ants through a magnifying glass.
Elinor sings WHY DO ANTS MARCH?
AND WHERE DO THEY HIDE?
THERE'S SO MUCH TO LEARN
WHEREVER YOU TURN
JUST LISTEN AND SEE
AND FOLLOW YOUR CURIOSITY.
[Chiming]
Voices sing, ELINOR WONDERS WHY.
Elinor sings, ASK A QUESTION
WHAT WILL YOU FIND?
Voices sing, ELINOR WONDERS WHY.
Elinor sings, JUST LISTEN AND SEE
COME AND WONDER WITH ME.
Text above Elinor reads, “Elinor Wonders Why.” A magnifying glass with pink bunny ears replaces the letter ‘O’ in Elinor’s name.
[Wind blows]
Elinor says, WIND IN THE WEB.
Text reads, “Wind In The Web.”
Elinor, Olive, and Ari walk on a sidewalk in a town. Elinor wears her red and purple dress. Olive Elephant wears her blue bow on her head, with the blue shirt, skirts and leggings. Ari Bat wears a green t-shirt with yellow shorts.
[Upbeat music plays]
Olive says, IT'S KIND OF
WINDY TODAY.
Elinor says, I LOVE DAYS
LIKE THIS.
Ari spreads his wings and spins in the wind.
[Ari laughs]
Ari says, WHOA, THERE ARE
LEAVES BLOWING EVERYWHERE.
Olive says, OOH, SO MANY
PRETTY COLORS.
Elinor says, THE COOL FALL AIR
IS SO NICE. I LOVE FEELING THE
WIND ON MY FACE.
A brown leaf blows on to Elinor’s nose.
[Crunch, giggling]
Olive says, AND DON'T FORGET
THE LEAVES.
[Olive and Elinor giggle]
Elinor says, FUNNY.
Ari says, WAIT, DID YOU SAY THAT
WIND IS AIR, THE STUFF WE BREATHE?
[Wind blows]
Olive says, YUP, WIND IS JUST
AIR MOVING AROUND.
[Olive trumpets]
Ari says, HERE IT COMES!
WOO-HOO!
Wind pushes Ari backwards.
Ari says, WOW, THAT WIND
IS PUSHY. WHOA, WHOA, WAH!
Ari stumbles backwards as the wind pushes him. He lands in a pile of leaves.
[Crunching, laughing]
Elinor says, HERE,
I'LL HELP YOU.
[Rustling, bell rings]
Mr. Raccoon opens a door with his back. He carries a roll of paper in his left hand. His right arm is in a sling.
[Grunting]
Olive says, HELLO, MR. RACCOON.
Elinor says, HERE YOU GO,
MR. RACCOON!
Elinor hops past Mr. Raccoon and holds the door open for him.
Mr. Raccoon says, OH, THANK
YOU, ELINOR.
[Door clicks shut, upbeat music plays]
Mr. Raccoon says, HELLO, OLIVE
AND ARI. HOW ARE YOU ON THIS
FINE DAY?
Ari says, WE'RE ENJOYING THE
WIND. WHOA!
Olive holds Ari’s arm to steady him in the wind.
[Grunting, wind blows]
Ari asks, WHAT HAPPENED
TO YOUR ARM?
Mr. Raccoon says, UNFORTUNATELY,
I SPRAINED MY ARM MIXING
INGREDIENTS LAST NIGHT AND
NOW I HAVE TO LET IT REST.
MY OTHER ARM IS DOING TWICE
THE WORK.
Ari asks, WHAT'S THAT, MR. RACCOON?
Mr. Raccoon asks, THIS?
OH, TODAY IS A VERY SPECIAL DAY,
KIDS. I BAKED SOME DELICIOUS
TREATS, PRETZELS AND BAGELS.
I CALL IT PRETZEL AND BAGEL DAY.
Olive says, OOH, I LOVE PRETZELS!
Ari says, AND I LOVE BAGELS.
THEY'RE MY FAVORITE
BAKED GOODY.
UH, ACTUALLY MOST BAKED
GOODIES ARE MY FAVORITE,
BUT I ESPECIALLY LIKE BAGELS.
[Mr. Raccoon laughs]
Mr. Raccoon says, WELL, I LIKE
THEM TOO, ARI, AND I'D LIKE
EVERYONE TO COME TRY THEM.
SO I'M GOING TO PUT UP THIS SIGN
OVER THERE BY THE TOWN CENTRE.
CAN YOU HELP ME WITH THIS, ELINOR?
Elinor helps Mr. Raccoon unroll a banner. On the banner, a red arrow points left, below pictures of a pretzel, bagel, and cheese.
[Rustling]
Ari exclaims, WHOA!
Mr. Raccoon says, I ALSO HAVE
SOME SPECIAL SWISS SOY CHEESE
THAT I WANT EVERYONE TO TRY.
Elinor says, I LOVE CHEESE!
Mr. Raccoon says, GREAT!
WELL, COME BY MY STORE
ANYTIME AND I'LL GIVE YOU
ALL SOME FREE SAMPLES.
[Grunting, rustling, flapping]
Elinor asks, MR. RACCOON, CAN
WE HELP YOU?
Mr. Raccoon says, HM.
Ari says, YEAH, WE CAN PUT
THE SIGN UP FOR YOU.
Olive says, WE LOVE PRETZELS,
BAGELS, AND CHEESE, AND WE
WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW
ABOUT THEM, TOO.
Mr. Raccoon says, OH, WOW.
THAT'S SO NICE OF YOU KIDS.
THAT WOULD REALLY HELP ME.
THANK YOU.
Elinor says, NO PROBLEM,
MR. RACCOON.
WE'LL PUT UP THE SIGN AND
EVERYBODY'S GOING TO COME
TRY YOUR AWESOME TREATS.
Elinor rolls up the sign.
[Rustling]
Mr. Raccoon says, THAT SOUNDS GREAT.
Olive cheers, YAY!
Ari says, LET'S GO.
Mr. Raccoon says, GOODBYE.
Elinor and Olive carry the sign to a round grey statue.
Elinor says, I THINK THIS
IS A GOOD PLACE.
Olive says, LET'S PUT UP
THE SIGN.
Elinor and Olive unroll the sign. Ari flies up and jumps on a stick on each side of the sign, pushing the sticks into the ground.
[Tapping]
Ari says, THERE WE GO.
Elinor says, I THINK THAT
LOOKS PRETTY GOOD.
Ari declares, IT MAKES ME
HUNGRY FOR A BAGEL
RIGHT NOW.
Olive says, EVERYTHING
MAKES YOU HUNGRY, ARI.
Ari says, NO, SOME THINGS ALSO
MAKE ME THIRSTY.
[All laugh]
A cat with brown fur and black stripes wears a blue t-shirt. He stops and looks at the sign.
The striped cat asks, WHAT'S THAT?
Elinor says, LOOK!
Ari says, CHECK THIS OUT.
Olive says, YEAH.
The striped cat asks, OH, IS
MR. RACCOON MAKING BAGELS
AND PRETZELS TODAY?
Elinor, Ari, and Olive say, YEAH.
The striped cat says, AWESOME.
I'LL GO CHECK IT OUT.
Elinor says, YES, THE SIGN IS WORKING.
Elinor high fives Olive. Olive high fives Ari. A strong gust of wind causes the sign to ripple.
[Hands slap, flapping, gasping]
Olive says, UH-OH, IT'S GETTING
WINDY AGAIN.
[Wind blows, flapping]
Ari says, YEAH, AND THE WIND
IS PUSHING THE SIGN.
[Sighing]
Olive says, IT DIDN'T BLOW AWAY.
[Wind blows]
The wind blows the sign away.
Elinor says, OH, NO!
Olive says, FOLLOW THE SIGN!
Elinor, Olive, and Ari follow the sign as it blows high in the air.
[Wind blows, upbeat music plays]
A horse, moose, and cat duck as the sign blows past them.
[Neigh, meow, gasp, rustling, door opens and closes]
Ari asks, WHERE DID IT GO?
Olive says, I DON'T KNOW.
Elinor says, YOU TWO LOOK DOWN
THERE AND I'LL LOOK AROUND HERE.
[Wind blows, upbeat music plays]
Elinor says, WOO-HOO! LOOK AT HOW
THE WIND IS PUSHING THE LEAVES.
Olive shouts, ELINOR, WE FOUND IT!
Elinor says, AH-HA!
Olive and Ari run to where Deputy Mouse lies on the ground wrapped in the sign. They help him stand.
[Grunting]
Olive says, THANKS FOR CATCHING
OUR SIGN, DEPUTY MOUSE
Ari rolls up the sign.
[Rustling, groaning]
Olive asks, READY? LET'S GO
PUT THIS SIGN UP AGAIN.
Ari says, YEP, WE WANT
EVERYONE TO KNOW ABOUT
THE BAGELS AND PRETZELS.
Elinor adds, AND CHEESE.
[Upbeat music plays]
Elinor says, I'M SO GLAD WE
FOUND MR. RACCOON'S SIGN.
Olive says, UH-OH, THE WIND
IS BLOWING AGAIN.
Ari asks, WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
THE WIND MIGHT BLOW THE SIGN
AWAY LIKE BEFORE.
Olive says, HM, MAYBE WE CAN
PUT SOME BRANCHES IN FRONT
OF IT TO BLOCK THE WIND.
In a thought bubble above her head, Olive imagines building a pile of sticks in front of the sign.
[Wind blows, popping, rustling]
Elinor says, HM, THEN NOBODY WILL BE ABLE
TO SEE THE SIGN.
In a thought bubble above his head, Ari imagines piling rocks on top of the sign as it lies flat on the ground.
Ari asks, WHAT IF WE USE SOME
ROCKS TO HOLD IT DOWN?
[Clatter, wind blows]
Olive says, GOOD IDEA, BUT THEN
WE'D HAVE TO LAY IT DOWN FLAT
AND NOBODY WOULD SEE IT.
Ari says, HM, THIS IS TRICKY.
[Wind blows, Elinor sighs]
Elinor watches a leaf blow by and notices a spider on the side of a spider web on a bush.
Elinor says, OOH, A SPIDER.
Elinor watches the spider move to the middle of its web.
[Gasp, scuttling]
Elinor says, OLIVE, ARI, COME SEE.
THERE'S A SPIDER WEB HERE.
Olive says, I LOVE SPIDER WEBS.
THEY'RE SO COOL.
Ari syas, WHOA, HERE COMES
THAT PUSHY WIND AGAIN.
[Wind blows]
Elinor says, DID YOU SEE THAT?
THE WIND PUSHED THE LEAVES
PRETTY HARD.
Ari says, AND ME, TOO.
[Ari coughs, Elinor giggles]
Elinor says, BUT THE SPIDER WEB
DIDN'T GET PUSHED AS MUCH,
IT BARELY MOVED.
Olive says, THAT'S RIGHT, I NOTICED
THAT, TOO
[Wind blows]
Ari says, LOOK THERE IT IS AGAIN!
THE WIND'S PUSHING THE LEAVES
MORE THAN IT'S PUSHING THE WEB.
Elinor says, HM, THAT IS SO INTERESTING!
Olive asks, WHY DOESN'T THE
WEB GET PUSHED VERY MUCH?
Elinor says, I DON'T KNOW.
MR. RACCOON'S SIGN GETS PUSHED
BY THE WIND A LOT AND THE
LEAVES GET PUSHED A LOT, BUT
THE SPIDER WEB DOESN'T. I THINK
WE NEED MORE OBSERVATIONS.
Olive says, GOOD IDEA.
I'LL WRITE IT DOWN TO HELP
US TELL THE DIFFERENCE.
ONE SIDE FOR PUSHED A LOT AND
ONE SIDE FOR NOT PUSHED A LOT.
Elinor says, OKAY, THE SIGN GOT
PUSHED A LOT.
Ari says, THE SPIDER WEB DIDN'T
GET PUSHED AS MUCH.
Olive says, GOOD, WHAT ELSE?
[Wind blows]
Ari says, WELL, THE LEAVES GET
PUSHED A LOT.
Olive says, RIGHT HM, I FEEL LIKE
WE'RE MISSING ONE MORE THING.
Ari stumbles backwards as the wind pushes him.
[Flapping]
Ari says, WHOA, WHOA!
WHOA, WHOA! PHEW.
Elinor says, AND ARI GETS
PUSHED A LOT WITH HIS
WINGS OPEN.
Olive draws a bagel next to a drawing of Ari and then shows Ari and Elinor her list.
Ari asks, MM, IS THAT A BAGEL?
NICE!
[Laughing]
Olive says, OKAY, LET'S SEE.
WHAT'S DIFFERENT ABOUT THE
THINGS THAT GOT PUSHED BY THE
WIND AND THE SPIDER WEB?
Olive, Ari, and Elinor say, HMM.
Elinor pokes a finger at the web.
[Wind blows]
Elinor says, I HAVE AN IDEA!
MAYBE IT'S ABOUT
WHAT'S MISSING!
Ari says, UH, WHAT DO YOU
MEAN, ELINOR?
Elinor says, I MEAN THE HOLES.
THE WEB HAS HOLES IN IT.
Ari says, OH, I GET IT.
Olive says, YOU'RE RIGHT, ELINOR.
THE WEB HAS HOLES IN IT, BUT
THE SIGN, THE LEAVES, AND ARI'S
WINGS DON'T.
MAYBE THINGS WITH HOLES DON'T
GET PUSHED BY THE WIND AS MUCH.
Ari says, THAT MAKES SENSE.
THE WIND GOES RIGHT THROUGH
THE HOLES.
HMM, THAT GIVES ME THE BEST
IDEA FOR OUR SIGN.
OLIVE, DO YOU HAVE SCISSORS IN
YOUR BAG?
Olive says, SURE DO.
Olive takes a pair of scissors out of her pink handbag.
[Snip, snip]
Elinor says, THANKS.
LET'S FIX THIS SIGN.
[Wind blows, upbeat music plays]
Olive, Ari, and Elinor sing,
WHOOSH, WHOOSH
THE WIND GOES WHOOSH
WHOOSH, WHOOSH
THE WIND CAN PUSH.
[Rustling]
Ari says, WHOA!
Olive and Elinor sing, ARI AND
THE SIGN BOTH GOT PUSHED.
THE WIND BLEW THEM
WHOOSH, WHOOSH, WHOOSH.
Olive, Ari, and Elinor sing,
THE SPIDER WEB HAS LOTS OF HOLES,
IT BARELY MOVES WHEN THE
WIND BLOWS.
IF WE ADD SOME HOLES HERE
AND THERE,
OUR SIGN WON'T FLY OFF ANYWHERE.
[Snipping]
Olive, Ari, and Elinor sing,
WHOOSH, WHOOSH
THE WIND GOES WHOOSH
WHOOSH, WHOOSH
THE WIND CAN PUSH.
Olive gestures at the sign with round holes cut in it.
Olive says, OUR HOLES ARE IN
THE PERFECT PLACE, RIGHT IN
THE MIDDLE OF THE PRETZELS.
Ari says, AND THE BAGELS AND
THE CHEESE. MM, CHEESE.
[Elinor and Olive laugh, gasping, dramatic music plays]
Ari says, HERE COMES THE WIND.
DO YOU THINK IT'S GONNA WORK?
Elinor says, COME ON SIGN,
COME ON HOLES!
[Rustling, wind blows]
Olive cheers, YAY, IT WORKED!
THE WIND PUSH THE SIGN A LITTLE
BIT, BUT IT DIDN'T BLOW AWAY.
Ari says, WE DID IT!
Elinor says, YAY!
[Chuckling]
A dog with a green tie says, AH!
The dog and a pig nod and walk past the sign.
[Upbeat music plays]
Elinor says, YES!
Mr. Raccoon says, WELL, DONE, KIDS.
EVERYBODY IN TOWN WANTS TO BE
PART OF PRETZEL AND BAGEL DAY
AND THEY ALL SAY IT'S BECAUSE
THEY SAW THE SIGN.
Elinor says, WELL, WE ALMOST
COULDN'T PUT THE SIGN UP
BECAUSE IT WAS SO WINDY.
Ari says, ONE TIME, THE WIND
EVEN BLEW THE SIGN AWAY.
Olive says, BUT THEN WE SAW
A SPIDER WEB AND FIGURED OUT
THAT IF HE PUT HOLES IN THE SIGN
THE WIND WOULDN'T PUSH IT
AS MUCH.
Mr. Raccoon says, OH, THAT'S VERY
CLEVER, OLIVE.
THE HOLES HELP THE WIND GET
THROUGH THE SIGN.
[Mr. Raccoon blows]
Elinor says, I THINK YOU'RE RIGHT, MR.
RACCOON.
[Blowing, giggling, Ari swallows]
Ari looks through the hole in his bagel.
Ari says, YEP, THAT MAKES A "HOLE"
LOT OF SENSE. GET IT?
Olive says, OH, ARI.
[Laughing, munching]
A blue doors open and children run into a classroom.
[Clicking, giggling, wind blows]
Olive says, IT'S SO WINDY TODAY,
MS. MOLE.
Ms. Mole wears her curly red hair high on her head. She wears a purple coat over a purple shirt and skirt.
Ms. Mole says, IT SURE IS OLIVE.
WHILE I WAS WALKING HERE TODAY
MY FAVORITE HAT BLEW AWAY.
Elinor says, OH, NO, THE WIND
CAN BE SO PUSHY.
Ms. Mole says, YES, BUT DID YOU KNOW
THAT SOME CRITTERS NEED A PUSH
FROM THE WIND, LIKE THESE SPIDERS?
Ms. Mole opens a pop-up book. Trees, rocks, and a spider nest pop up.
[Rustling]
Ms. Mole says, LET'S TAKE A LOOK.
THIS IS A NEST FOR BABY SPIDERS.
MAYBE IF WE'RE VERY QUIET A
BABY WILL COME OUT.
A baby spider moves out of the nest.
The children say, AWW!
[Squeaking, rustling, gentle music plays]
More spiders crawl out of the nest.
Ms. Mole says, WELCOME TO THE
WORLD LITTLE ONE, BUT THIS BABY
ISN'T ALONE, IT HAS LOTS OF
BROTHERS AND SISTERS.
SO OUR SPIDER NEEDS TO GO
SOMEWHERE LESS CROWDED
WHERE IT'LL HAVE ENOUGH
SPACE AND LOTS OF FOOD.
IT CLIMBS SOMEWHERE HIGH,
AND STICKS OUT A LEG TO FEEL
THE WIND.
THE SPIDER MAKES SOME SILK
THREADS, AND WHOOSH, THE
WIND CARRIES IT INTO THE SKY.
The spider blows up into the sky.
[Rustling, whoosh, slide whistle]
The children say, WHOA!
Elinor asks, WHERE'S OUR
BABY SPIDER GOING?
Ms. Mole replies, WHY, ANYWHERE
THE WIND TAKES IT.
MOST SPIDERS SAIL FOR A SHORT
TIME, BUT SOME SAIL FOR A LONG
TIME. THEY CAN FLY AS HIGH AS A
MOUNTAIN OR OUT TO SEA, BUT AT
LAST IT LANDS.
[Slide whistles]
Ms. Mole says, GOOD JOB, SPIDER.
THIS LOOKS LIKE A NICE PLACE FOR
A NEW HOME, AND THAT'S THE END
OF OUR STORY ABOUT SPIDERS WHO
RIDE THE WIND.
Elinor says, I GUESS THE WINDS
PUSHINESS CAN BE HELPFUL.
Ms. Mole’s hat blows through the window and hits her face.
[Slide whistle, laughing]
Elinor says, THE POKEY PLANT.
Text reads, “The Pokey Plant.” “Directed by Kevin Micallef.”
[Upbeat music plays]
Elinor chases a butterfly. She stops to look at flowers.
Elinor says, OOH, WHAT
INTERESTING FLOWERS. THE
LEAVES ARE SO GREEN.
Olive says, HI, ELINOR, WANT
TO WALK TO SCHOOL WITH US?
Elinor says, SURE, I CAN'T WAIT
FOR SCHOOL TODAY.
Ari asks, WHY, IS IT A SPECIAL DAY?
Elinor says,YES, IT'S A VERY SPECIAL DAY.
Ari asks, OH, IS IT EXTRA SNACKS DAY?
OR MAYBE IT'S CAKE DAY.
Elinor says, NO, SILLY, IT'S PLANT DAY!
Olive says, PLANT DAY IS THE BEST.
MS. MOLE IS GOING TO GIVE EACH
ONE OF US A DIFFERENT PLANT TO
TAKE HOME.
Elinor says, I'VE BEEN LOOKING
FORWARD TO IT FOR WEEKS.
I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY OWN
LITTLE BABY PLANT TO TAKE
CARE OF.
Ari says, YEAH, I HELP THEY CARE
OF MY BABY SISTER SOMETIMES.
Olive says, UM, I THINK THAT'S A
LITTLE DIFFERENT, ARI.
Ari says, YOU'RE RIGHT, MY BABY
SISTER ISN'T A PLANT.
ALTHOUGH, SHE DOES LIKE TO
PLAY IN THE DIRT SOMETIMES.
[Laughing]
[Upbeat music plays]
Olive says, I REALLY WANT
MY PLANT TO GROW, GROW, GROW.
[Giggling]
In a thought bubble above her head, Elinor imagines watering a plant with a yellow watering can. The can has a purple flower on the side.
Elinor says, I BET MY PLANTS
GOING TO BE GREEN WITH
LOTS OF LEAVES.
WE ARE GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH
FUN TOGETHER, AND THEN IT
MIGHT EVEN GROW A FLOWER!
Ari says, UH, FLOWERS ARE OKAY,
BUT I WANT TO PLANT THAT
HANGS FROM THE CEILING
LIKE ME.
Ari hangs upside down from the top of a swing set as Olive and Elinor sit on swings.
[Elinor and Olive giggle]
Olive says, THAT'S FUN.
I JUST WANT SOMETHING WITH
BIG LEAVES AND LOTS OF COLOUR.
Elinor says, I CAN'T WAIT.
LET'S GO GET OUR PLANTS.
Ari says, OKAY!
[Whoosh, upbeat music plays]
Ms. Mole says, ALRIGHT, EVERYONE,
LET'S GET STARTED. WE HAVE AN
EXCITING DAY TODAY.
Ari says, HUH?
Olive asks, WHERE ARE YOU,
MS. MOLE?
Plants cover the top of Ms. Mole’s desk.
Ms. Mole says, WHAT?
OH, YOU CAN'T SEE ME?
Ms. Mole wears a flower costume. Green suspenders hold up a brown flower pot skirt. She wears green leggings and shoes with a green blouse. Ms. Mole wears a pink hat that looks like flower petals on her head.
Ms. Mole says, SURPRISE!
WELCOME TO PLANT
DAY EVERYONE.
[Children laugh]
Elinor cheers, YAY!
Ms. Mole says, OKAY, TODAY,
EVERYONE IS GOING TO GET
ONE OF THESE PLANTS TO
TAKE HOME.
Elinor says, WOW.
A child says, COOL!
Ms. Mole jokes, NOT ME THOUGH.
YOU CAN'T TAKE ME HOME.
[Children laugh]
Ms. Mole says, YOUR JOB IS TO
TAKE CARE OF THESE LITTLE
PLANTS AND HELP THEM GROW.
Children hold their hands up.
Ari asks, HOW DO WE TAKE CARE
OF OUR PLANTS, MS. MOLE?
Olive asks, DO WE READ BOOKS
TO THEM?
Elinor asks, DO WE TAKE THEM
FOR WALKS?
A beaver asks, DO THEY LIKE
TO PLAY GAMES?
Koa, a koala, asks, DO THEY LIKE
TO DRINK SOUP?
Ms. Mole says, OH, DEAR, SO MANY
GOOD QUESTIONS.
ACTUALLY, IT'S PRETTY SIMPLE.
MOST PLANTS JUST NEED WATER
AND SUN.
Ari asks, DO THEY LIKE JUICE?
I LIKE APPLE JUICE AND ORANGE
JUICE AND--
[Ms. Mole chuckles]
Ms. Mole says, THANK YOU, ARI.
NO, IT JUST WATER.
EACH PLANT COMES WITH
INSTRUCTIONS THAT SHOW YOU
HOW MUCH WATER AND SUN
THEY NEED.
THIS ONE HAS THREE DROPS.
SO YOU WATER IT THREE DAYS
A WEEK.
NOW, NEXT WEEK, I WANT EACH
OF YOU TO TELL THE CLASS WHAT
YOU LEARNED ABOUT YOUR PLANT.
REMEMBER, EACH PLANT IS
DIFFERENT, BUT THEY ALL NEED
LOVE AND CARE.
Elinor asks, WHICH PLANT DO I GET,
MS. MOLE?
Ms. Mole says, EVERYONE LINE UP
AND YOU'LL FIND OUT.
[Cheering]
Olive says, SO EXCITED!
Elinor says, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE
MY PLANT. I BET IT'S GOING TO BE
GREEN WITH LOTS OF LEAVES.
In a thought bubble over her head, Elinor imagines a pot with two red flower growing in it.
[Popping]
Ms. Mole says, KOA, THIS PLANT
IS CALLED A FERN.
Koa says, SWEET.
IT'S SO TOTALLY CHILL.
Ms. Mole says, ARI, THIS ONE IS
CALLED AN IVY. IT LIKES TO HANG
FROM THE CEILING.
Ari says, AWESOME.
WE CAN HANG OUT TOGETHER.
[Laughing]
Ms. Mole says, OLIVE, THIS ONE
IS CALLED A RED POINSETTIA.
Olive says, WOW, I LOVE THE COLOR.
Elinor imagines the red flowers.
[Popping, giggling]
Ms. Mole says, HERE YOU GO,
ELINOR. A CACTUS.
[Poof]
Elinor stares at her cactus, disappointed.
Elinor says, OH, OKAY.
[Sighs]
The children hold their plants as they gather in pairs in the playground. Elinor sits by herself beside a sandbox, sadly staring at her cactus.
[Background chatter, laughter]
Ms. Mole says, ALRIGHT, EVERYONE
TIME TO GET TO KNOW ALL ABOUT
YOUR LITTLE PLANTS.
Olive says, I GOT A COLOURFUL
PLANT WITH BIG LEAVES JUST
LIKE I WANTED.
Ari says, AND I GOT A PLANT
THAT HANGS FROM THE CEILING
JUST LIKE I WANTED.
I'M GOING TO HANG IT RIGHT NEXT
TO MY BED AND LOOK AT IT WHILE
I HANG UPSIDE DOWN, SO IT'S GONNA
LOOK RIGHT SIDE UP?
[Elinor sighs, rustling]
Ari says, OKAY, IF I'M UPSIDE DOWN
BUT THE PLANT IS HANGING RIGHT
SIDE UP.
IS IT GOING TO LOOK UPRIGHT DOWN?
Ari moves his plant around and accidently touches his bottom to the needles on Elinor’s cactus.
[Gasp]
Ari says, YOW! OUCH, SOMETHING
JUST POKED ME. WHAT IS
THAT, ELINOR?
[Elinor sighs]
Elinor says, SORRY, ARI, THIS IS
WHAT MS. MOLE GAVE ME.
I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO GET A
PLANT LIKE YOU AND OLIVE, BUT
INSTEAD SHE GAVE ME A CACTUS.
Ari says, A CACTUS? THEY SHOULD
CALL IT AN OUCH-US.
Olive says, BUT, ELINOR, YOU DID GET
A PLANT. CACTUSES ARE PLANTS, TOO.
Elinor says, WHAT?
Olive says, I READ THAT IN MY
NATURE BOOK. IT SAYS THAT
A CACTUS IS A KIND OF PLANT.
Ari says, REALLY? THAT'S A PLANT?
JUST LIKE THESE TWO ARE PLANTS?
Olive nods.
[Birds chirp, gentle notes play]
Elinor says, SO, I DID GET A PLANT.
BUT WHY DOES IT LOOK SO
DIFFERENT? WHY DOESN'T IT HAVE
ANY LEAVES?
Olive says, I DON'T KNOW, BUT IT ALSO
DOESN'T NEED A LOT OF WATER.
THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY YOU ONLY
WATER IT ONCE A WEEK.
Elinor says, WOW, ONCE A WEEK?
THAT'S AMAZING.
Ari says, I'D BE SO THIRSTY IF I ONLY
DRANK WATER ONCE A WEEK.
[Olive giggles]
Olive says, I'M PRETTY SURE YOU'RE
NOT A CACTUS, ARI.
[Elinor and Olive giggle]
Elinor says, LOOK.
HM, BOTH OF YOUR PLANTS NEED
WATER EVERY FEW DAYS. HM, THAT
IS SO INTERESTING! I WONDER WHY
A CACTUS IS SO DIFFERENT.
Ari pulls a needle out of his bottom.
[Boing]
Ari says, AND POKEY.
Elinor says, LET'S SEE IF WE CAN
FIGURE IT OUT.
WE NEED MORE OBSERVATIONS.
[Upbeat music plays]
Elinor says, OKAY, WHY IS A CACTUS
SO DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PLANTS?
Olive says, IT HAS SPIKES AND IT
DOESN'T HAVE LEAVES OR THIN STEMS,
LIKE OTHER PLANTS.
Ari says, THIS REALLY POKES
MY CURIOSITY.
[Laughing]
Olive holds a magnifying glass with her trunk.
She says, LET'S TAKE A CLOSER LOOK.
HUH. IT'S DEFINITELY GREEN LIKE
OTHER PLANTS, BUT THE SHAPE IS
VERY DIFFERENT.
[Rustling, gasp]
Ari trips and bumps into Olive. She jabs the cactus with a stick.
Ari says, SORRY!
Olive says, UH-OH! I ACCIDENTALLY
POKED THE CACTUS!
Elinor says, I HOPE IT'S NOT HURT.
CAN I USE THE MAGNIFYING GLASS?
HM. I THINK THE PLAN IS OKAY, BUT
LOOK, THERE'S WATER COMING OUT
OF THE LITTLE HOLE YOU MADE.
[Dripping]
Olive says, YOU'RE RIGHT.
I THINK I READ ABOUT THIS
IN MY NATURE BOOK, TOO.
[Pages turn]
Olive says, HUH. HERE, IT IS,
CACTUS. IT SAYS THAT CACTUSES
ARE NOT LIKE OTHER PLANTS.
THEY LIVE IN PLACES THAT ARE
HOT AND DRY, SO THEY KEEP THICK
AND ROUNDED TO HELP THEM KEEP
WATER INSIDE.
Elinor says, THAT'S WHY CACTUSES
HAVE A DIFFERENT SHAPE. THEY'RE
FULL OF WATER.
Olvie says, AND THAT'S WHY THEY
DON'T NEED WATER EVERY DAY.
THEY ALREADY HAVE IT.
Ari says, COOL!
[Upbeat music plays]
Olive looks at a photograph in the book that shows a blue bird and a green lizard by a cactus.
Olive says, THE BOOK ALSO SAYS
THAT HAVING WATER INSIDE
MEANS THAT LOTS OF THIRSTY
ANIMALS, LIKE BIRDS AND LIZARDS,
WANT TO EAT THE CACTUS.
Ari says, ALL THIS TALK OF EATING
MAKES ME HUNGRY.
Ari takes a bag with a picture of a sunflower on it out of his pocket.
[Rustling]
Olive asks, ARI, DO YOU ALWAYS
CARRY A SNACK?
Ari says, IT'S IMPORTANT TO
BE PREPARED.
[Munching, birds chirp]
Ari says, HERE YOU GO, BIRDIE.
SUNFLOWER SEEDS ARE DELICIOUS.
AM I RIGHT?
[Rustling, pecking, flapping, gasp]
Ari spreads sunflower seeds on the grass in front of a bird. More birds fly to Ari.
Ari says, HEY, BIRDS, I DON'T HAVE
ENOUGH SEEDS TO SHARE WITH
ALL OF YOU. SHOO, BIRDS, SHOO!
Ari waves the bag at birds as they fly around him.
Ari says, HEY!
[Flapping, chirping]
Ari says, WHOA-OH!
Ari falls into a bush. Broken branches cover his face and hands. The birds back away from him.
[Flapping, rustling]
He says, UH-OH! HUH?
Elinor says, THE BIRDS CAN'T
GET YOUR SEEDS BECAUSE OF
THE POKEY BRANCHES.
In a thought bubble, Elinor imagines Ari covered in branches. She then imagines a cactus in his place.
[She gasps]
Elinor exclaims, ARI, THAT'S IT!
Ari asks, THAT'S WHAT?
Elinor says, I THINK THAT'S
WHY THE CACTUS HAS SPIKES.
IT DOESN'T WANT ANIMALS TO
EAT IT, SO IT USES SPIKES TO
PROTECT ITSELF.
Olive says, I THINK YOU'RE RIGHT,
ELINOR. THAT MAKES SENSE.
Ari flaps his wings and shakes off the broken branches.
[Flapping]
Ari says, WOO-HOO!
WE SOLVED THE MYSTERY!
OKAY, HERE YOU GO, BIRDIES.
Ari pours the rest of the seeds on the ground.
[Rustling, chirping]
Elinor says, I WAS A LITTLE SAD
WHEN I DIDN'T GET A REGULAR
PLANT, BUT NOW I KNOW CACTUSES
ARE SO COOL.
I'M GOING TO TAKE REALLY GOOD
CARE OF YOU.
[Upbeat music plays]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, SOME
THINGS ARE DIFFERENT.
[Door opens, whistling]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, OR NOT
WHAT YOU THOUGHT THEY'D BE.
[Door closes, whistling]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, BUT
THAT'S WHAT MAKES THEM SPECIAL.
[Whistling]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, IF YOU
NOTICE AND SEE.
[Whistling, water drop]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, A
CACTUS IS SO COOL .
IT'S NOT LIKE OTHER PLANTS.
IT'S ROUND WITH LOTS OF SPIKES,
Ari sings, THAT CAN POKE YOU
IN YOUR PANTS
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, SOME
THINGS ARE DIFFERENT
[Whistling]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, OR NOT
WHAT YOU THOUGHT THEY'D BE.
[Whistling]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, BUT
THAT'S WHAT MAKES
THEM SPECIAL.
[Whistling]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, IF YOU
NOTICE AND SEE.
[Whistling, door opens]
Ari opens a door. He and Olive wave to Elinor as they walk through a doorway.
Olive and Ari say, BYE!
Elinor says, SEE YOU LATER!
[Door closes, upbeat music plays]
Pink flowers grow on Elinor’s cactus.
Sometime later, light reflects off the window of the schoolhouse.
[Birds chirp]
Ms. Mole says, OKAY, KIDS, I HOPE
YOU HAD A GREAT WEEK TAKING
CARE OF YOUR PLANTS.
NOW, WHO WANTS TO BE THE FIRST
TO TELL US WHAT THEY LEARNED?
Elinor raises her hand eagerly.
[Gasping]
Ms. Mole says, AH, ELINOR,
COME ON UP.
[Elinor clears her throat]
Elinor says, I LEARNED THAT
CACTUSES ARE SO COOL.
THEY ARE PLANTS BUT THEY'RE
NOT THIN AND LEAFY. THEY ARE
THICK AND ROUND BECAUSE THEY
HOLD WATER INSIDE AND THEY
HAVE POKEY SPIKES TO PROTECT
THEM FROM ANIMALS THAT WANT
TO EAT THEM.
[Children exclaim]
Elinro says, EVEN THOUGH THIS
CACTUS WAS NOT WHAT I WAS
EXPECTING, I LOVED TAKING
CARE OF IT.
EACH PLANT IS DIFFERENT, BUT
THEY ALL NEED WATER AND
SUN AND CARE.
Elinor pulls a cloth off her cactus and reveals the pink flowers.
The beaver says, LOOK, IT
HAS FLOWERS.
Koa says, I DIDN'T KNOW
A CACTUS HAD FLOWERS. COOL.
Elinor’s classmates run to where she holds the cactus.
Children exclaim, AWESOME!
WOW! COOL. COOL! OOH!
[Upbeat music plays]

Elinor sings, WHEREVER I GO
I SEE THINGS THAT I WANT
TO KNOW,
WHEREVER I AM I FIND THINGS
I WANT TO UNDERSTAND.
GO AND EXPLORE, LISTEN AND SEE
JUST FOLLOW YOUR CURIOSITY.
Elinor smiles as she sings on a swing on a swing set. Olive Elephant swings on a swing beside her. Olive wears a blue bow on her head, with a blue shirt, skirts and leggings. Ari Bat hands upside down from the bar on the top of the swing set.
Voices sing, ELINOR WONDERS WHY.
Elinor sings, WHY DO BIRDS SING?
AND HOW DO THEY FLY?
Voices sing, ELINOR WONDERS WHY.
Elinor watches ants through a magnifying glass.
Elinor sings WHY DO ANTS MARCH?
AND WHERE DO THEY HIDE?
THERE'S SO MUCH TO LEARN
WHEREVER YOU TURN
JUST LISTEN AND SEE
AND FOLLOW YOUR CURIOSITY.
[Chiming]
Voices sing, ELINOR WONDERS WHY.
Elinor sings, ASK A QUESTION
WHAT WILL YOU FIND?
Voices sing, ELINOR WONDERS WHY.
Elinor sings, JUST LISTEN AND SEE
COME AND WONDER WITH ME.
Text above Elinor reads, “Elinor Wonders Why.” A magnifying glass with pink bunny ears replaces the letter ‘O’ in Elinor’s name.
[Wind blows]
Elinor says, WIND IN THE WEB.
Text reads, “Wind In The Web.”
Elinor, Olive, and Ari walk on a sidewalk in a town. Elinor wears her red and purple dress. Olive Elephant wears her blue bow on her head, with the blue shirt, skirts and leggings. Ari Bat wears a green t-shirt with yellow shorts.
[Upbeat music plays]
Olive says, IT'S KIND OF
WINDY TODAY.
Elinor says, I LOVE DAYS
LIKE THIS.
Ari spreads his wings and spins in the wind.
[Ari laughs]
Ari says, WHOA, THERE ARE
LEAVES BLOWING EVERYWHERE.
Olive says, OOH, SO MANY
PRETTY COLORS.
Elinor says, THE COOL FALL AIR
IS SO NICE. I LOVE FEELING THE
WIND ON MY FACE.
A brown leaf blows on to Elinor’s nose.
[Crunch, giggling]
Olive says, AND DON'T FORGET
THE LEAVES.
[Olive and Elinor giggle]
Elinor says, FUNNY.
Ari says, WAIT, DID YOU SAY THAT
WIND IS AIR, THE STUFF WE BREATHE?
[Wind blows]
Olive says, YUP, WIND IS JUST
AIR MOVING AROUND.
[Olive trumpets]
Ari says, HERE IT COMES!
WOO-HOO!
Wind pushes Ari backwards.
Ari says, WOW, THAT WIND
IS PUSHY. WHOA, WHOA, WAH!
Ari stumbles backwards as the wind pushes him. He lands in a pile of leaves.
[Crunching, laughing]
Elinor says, HERE,
I'LL HELP YOU.
[Rustling, bell rings]
Mr. Raccoon opens a door with his back. He carries a roll of paper in his left hand. His right arm is in a sling.
[Grunting]
Olive says, HELLO, MR. RACCOON.
Elinor says, HERE YOU GO,
MR. RACCOON!
Elinor hops past Mr. Raccoon and holds the door open for him.
Mr. Raccoon says, OH, THANK
YOU, ELINOR.
[Door clicks shut, upbeat music plays]
Mr. Raccoon says, HELLO, OLIVE
AND ARI. HOW ARE YOU ON THIS
FINE DAY?
Ari says, WE'RE ENJOYING THE
WIND. WHOA!
Olive holds Ari’s arm to steady him in the wind.
[Grunting, wind blows]
Ari asks, WHAT HAPPENED
TO YOUR ARM?
Mr. Raccoon says, UNFORTUNATELY,
I SPRAINED MY ARM MIXING
INGREDIENTS LAST NIGHT AND
NOW I HAVE TO LET IT REST.
MY OTHER ARM IS DOING TWICE
THE WORK.
Ari asks, WHAT'S THAT, MR. RACCOON?
Mr. Raccoon asks, THIS?
OH, TODAY IS A VERY SPECIAL DAY,
KIDS. I BAKED SOME DELICIOUS
TREATS, PRETZELS AND BAGELS.
I CALL IT PRETZEL AND BAGEL DAY.
Olive says, OOH, I LOVE PRETZELS!
Ari says, AND I LOVE BAGELS.
THEY'RE MY FAVORITE
BAKED GOODY.
UH, ACTUALLY MOST BAKED
GOODIES ARE MY FAVORITE,
BUT I ESPECIALLY LIKE BAGELS.
[Mr. Raccoon laughs]
Mr. Raccoon says, WELL, I LIKE
THEM TOO, ARI, AND I'D LIKE
EVERYONE TO COME TRY THEM.
SO I'M GOING TO PUT UP THIS SIGN
OVER THERE BY THE TOWN CENTRE.
CAN YOU HELP ME WITH THIS, ELINOR?
Elinor helps Mr. Raccoon unroll a banner. On the banner, a red arrow points left, below pictures of a pretzel, bagel, and cheese.
[Rustling]
Ari exclaims, WHOA!
Mr. Raccoon says, I ALSO HAVE
SOME SPECIAL SWISS SOY CHEESE
THAT I WANT EVERYONE TO TRY.
Elinor says, I LOVE CHEESE!
Mr. Raccoon says, GREAT!
WELL, COME BY MY STORE
ANYTIME AND I'LL GIVE YOU
ALL SOME FREE SAMPLES.
[Grunting, rustling, flapping]
Elinor asks, MR. RACCOON, CAN
WE HELP YOU?
Mr. Raccoon says, HM.
Ari says, YEAH, WE CAN PUT
THE SIGN UP FOR YOU.
Olive says, WE LOVE PRETZELS,
BAGELS, AND CHEESE, AND WE
WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW
ABOUT THEM, TOO.
Mr. Raccoon says, OH, WOW.
THAT'S SO NICE OF YOU KIDS.
THAT WOULD REALLY HELP ME.
THANK YOU.
Elinor says, NO PROBLEM,
MR. RACCOON.
WE'LL PUT UP THE SIGN AND
EVERYBODY'S GOING TO COME
TRY YOUR AWESOME TREATS.
Elinor rolls up the sign.
[Rustling]
Mr. Raccoon says, THAT SOUNDS GREAT.
Olive cheers, YAY!
Ari says, LET'S GO.
Mr. Raccoon says, GOODBYE.
Elinor and Olive carry the sign to a round grey statue.
Elinor says, I THINK THIS
IS A GOOD PLACE.
Olive says, LET'S PUT UP
THE SIGN.
Elinor and Olive unroll the sign. Ari flies up and jumps on a stick on each side of the sign, pushing the sticks into the ground.
[Tapping]
Ari says, THERE WE GO.
Elinor says, I THINK THAT
LOOKS PRETTY GOOD.
Ari declares, IT MAKES ME
HUNGRY FOR A BAGEL
RIGHT NOW.
Olive says, EVERYTHING
MAKES YOU HUNGRY, ARI.
Ari says, NO, SOME THINGS ALSO
MAKE ME THIRSTY.
[All laugh]
A cat with brown fur and black stripes wears a blue t-shirt. He stops and looks at the sign.
The striped cat asks, WHAT'S THAT?
Elinor says, LOOK!
Ari says, CHECK THIS OUT.
Olive says, YEAH.
The striped cat asks, OH, IS
MR. RACCOON MAKING BAGELS
AND PRETZELS TODAY?
Elinor, Ari, and Olive say, YEAH.
The striped cat says, AWESOME.
I'LL GO CHECK IT OUT.
Elinor says, YES, THE SIGN IS WORKING.
Elinor high fives Olive. Olive high fives Ari. A strong gust of wind causes the sign to ripple.
[Hands slap, flapping, gasping]
Olive says, UH-OH, IT'S GETTING
WINDY AGAIN.
[Wind blows, flapping]
Ari says, YEAH, AND THE WIND
IS PUSHING THE SIGN.
[Sighing]
Olive says, IT DIDN'T BLOW AWAY.
[Wind blows]
The wind blows the sign away.
Elinor says, OH, NO!
Olive says, FOLLOW THE SIGN!
Elinor, Olive, and Ari follow the sign as it blows high in the air.
[Wind blows, upbeat music plays]
A horse, moose, and cat duck as the sign blows past them.
[Neigh, meow, gasp, rustling, door opens and closes]
Ari asks, WHERE DID IT GO?
Olive says, I DON'T KNOW.
Elinor says, YOU TWO LOOK DOWN
THERE AND I'LL LOOK AROUND HERE.
[Wind blows, upbeat music plays]
Elinor says, WOO-HOO! LOOK AT HOW
THE WIND IS PUSHING THE LEAVES.
Olive shouts, ELINOR, WE FOUND IT!
Elinor says, AH-HA!
Olive and Ari run to where Deputy Mouse lies on the ground wrapped in the sign. They help him stand.
[Grunting]
Olive says, THANKS FOR CATCHING
OUR SIGN, DEPUTY MOUSE
Ari rolls up the sign.
[Rustling, groaning]
Olive asks, READY? LET'S GO
PUT THIS SIGN UP AGAIN.
Ari says, YEP, WE WANT
EVERYONE TO KNOW ABOUT
THE BAGELS AND PRETZELS.
Elinor adds, AND CHEESE.
[Upbeat music plays]
Elinor says, I'M SO GLAD WE
FOUND MR. RACCOON'S SIGN.
Olive says, UH-OH, THE WIND
IS BLOWING AGAIN.
Ari asks, WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
THE WIND MIGHT BLOW THE SIGN
AWAY LIKE BEFORE.
Olive says, HM, MAYBE WE CAN
PUT SOME BRANCHES IN FRONT
OF IT TO BLOCK THE WIND.
In a thought bubble above her head, Olive imagines building a pile of sticks in front of the sign.
[Wind blows, popping, rustling]
Elinor says, HM, THEN NOBODY WILL BE ABLE
TO SEE THE SIGN.
In a thought bubble above his head, Ari imagines piling rocks on top of the sign as it lies flat on the ground.
Ari asks, WHAT IF WE USE SOME
ROCKS TO HOLD IT DOWN?
[Clatter, wind blows]
Olive says, GOOD IDEA, BUT THEN
WE'D HAVE TO LAY IT DOWN FLAT
AND NOBODY WOULD SEE IT.
Ari says, HM, THIS IS TRICKY.
[Wind blows, Elinor sighs]
Elinor watches a leaf blow by and notices a spider on the side of a spider web on a bush.
Elinor says, OOH, A SPIDER.
Elinor watches the spider move to the middle of its web.
[Gasp, scuttling]
Elinor says, OLIVE, ARI, COME SEE.
THERE'S A SPIDER WEB HERE.
Olive says, I LOVE SPIDER WEBS.
THEY'RE SO COOL.
Ari syas, WHOA, HERE COMES
THAT PUSHY WIND AGAIN.
[Wind blows]
Elinor says, DID YOU SEE THAT?
THE WIND PUSHED THE LEAVES
PRETTY HARD.
Ari says, AND ME, TOO.
[Ari coughs, Elinor giggles]
Elinor says, BUT THE SPIDER WEB
DIDN'T GET PUSHED AS MUCH,
IT BARELY MOVED.
Olive says, THAT'S RIGHT, I NOTICED
THAT, TOO
[Wind blows]
Ari says, LOOK THERE IT IS AGAIN!
THE WIND'S PUSHING THE LEAVES
MORE THAN IT'S PUSHING THE WEB.
Elinor says, HM, THAT IS SO INTERESTING!
Olive asks, WHY DOESN'T THE
WEB GET PUSHED VERY MUCH?
Elinor says, I DON'T KNOW.
MR. RACCOON'S SIGN GETS PUSHED
BY THE WIND A LOT AND THE
LEAVES GET PUSHED A LOT, BUT
THE SPIDER WEB DOESN'T. I THINK
WE NEED MORE OBSERVATIONS.
Olive says, GOOD IDEA.
I'LL WRITE IT DOWN TO HELP
US TELL THE DIFFERENCE.
ONE SIDE FOR PUSHED A LOT AND
ONE SIDE FOR NOT PUSHED A LOT.
Elinor says, OKAY, THE SIGN GOT
PUSHED A LOT.
Ari says, THE SPIDER WEB DIDN'T
GET PUSHED AS MUCH.
Olive says, GOOD, WHAT ELSE?
[Wind blows]
Ari says, WELL, THE LEAVES GET
PUSHED A LOT.
Olive says, RIGHT HM, I FEEL LIKE
WE'RE MISSING ONE MORE THING.
Ari stumbles backwards as the wind pushes him.
[Flapping]
Ari says, WHOA, WHOA!
WHOA, WHOA! PHEW.
Elinor says, AND ARI GETS
PUSHED A LOT WITH HIS
WINGS OPEN.
Olive draws a bagel next to a drawing of Ari and then shows Ari and Elinor her list.
Ari asks, MM, IS THAT A BAGEL?
NICE!
[Laughing]
Olive says, OKAY, LET'S SEE.
WHAT'S DIFFERENT ABOUT THE
THINGS THAT GOT PUSHED BY THE
WIND AND THE SPIDER WEB?
Olive, Ari, and Elinor say, HMM.
Elinor pokes a finger at the web.
[Wind blows]
Elinor says, I HAVE AN IDEA!
MAYBE IT'S ABOUT
WHAT'S MISSING!
Ari says, UH, WHAT DO YOU
MEAN, ELINOR?
Elinor says, I MEAN THE HOLES.
THE WEB HAS HOLES IN IT.
Ari says, OH, I GET IT.
Olive says, YOU'RE RIGHT, ELINOR.
THE WEB HAS HOLES IN IT, BUT
THE SIGN, THE LEAVES, AND ARI'S
WINGS DON'T.
MAYBE THINGS WITH HOLES DON'T
GET PUSHED BY THE WIND AS MUCH.
Ari says, THAT MAKES SENSE.
THE WIND GOES RIGHT THROUGH
THE HOLES.
HMM, THAT GIVES ME THE BEST
IDEA FOR OUR SIGN.
OLIVE, DO YOU HAVE SCISSORS IN
YOUR BAG?
Olive says, SURE DO.
Olive takes a pair of scissors out of her pink handbag.
[Snip, snip]
Elinor says, THANKS.
LET'S FIX THIS SIGN.
[Wind blows, upbeat music plays]
Olive, Ari, and Elinor sing,
WHOOSH, WHOOSH
THE WIND GOES WHOOSH
WHOOSH, WHOOSH
THE WIND CAN PUSH.
[Rustling]
Ari says, WHOA!
Olive and Elinor sing, ARI AND
THE SIGN BOTH GOT PUSHED.
THE WIND BLEW THEM
WHOOSH, WHOOSH, WHOOSH.
Olive, Ari, and Elinor sing,
THE SPIDER WEB HAS LOTS OF HOLES,
IT BARELY MOVES WHEN THE
WIND BLOWS.
IF WE ADD SOME HOLES HERE
AND THERE,
OUR SIGN WON'T FLY OFF ANYWHERE.
[Snipping]
Olive, Ari, and Elinor sing,
WHOOSH, WHOOSH
THE WIND GOES WHOOSH
WHOOSH, WHOOSH
THE WIND CAN PUSH.
Olive gestures at the sign with round holes cut in it.
Olive says, OUR HOLES ARE IN
THE PERFECT PLACE, RIGHT IN
THE MIDDLE OF THE PRETZELS.
Ari says, AND THE BAGELS AND
THE CHEESE. MM, CHEESE.
[Elinor and Olive laugh, gasping, dramatic music plays]
Ari says, HERE COMES THE WIND.
DO YOU THINK IT'S GONNA WORK?
Elinor says, COME ON SIGN,
COME ON HOLES!
[Rustling, wind blows]
Olive cheers, YAY, IT WORKED!
THE WIND PUSH THE SIGN A LITTLE
BIT, BUT IT DIDN'T BLOW AWAY.
Ari says, WE DID IT!
Elinor says, YAY!
[Chuckling]
A dog with a green tie says, AH!
The dog and a pig nod and walk past the sign.
[Upbeat music plays]
Elinor says, YES!
Mr. Raccoon says, WELL, DONE, KIDS.
EVERYBODY IN TOWN WANTS TO BE
PART OF PRETZEL AND BAGEL DAY
AND THEY ALL SAY IT'S BECAUSE
THEY SAW THE SIGN.
Elinor says, WELL, WE ALMOST
COULDN'T PUT THE SIGN UP
BECAUSE IT WAS SO WINDY.
Ari says, ONE TIME, THE WIND
EVEN BLEW THE SIGN AWAY.
Olive says, BUT THEN WE SAW
A SPIDER WEB AND FIGURED OUT
THAT IF HE PUT HOLES IN THE SIGN
THE WIND WOULDN'T PUSH IT
AS MUCH.
Mr. Raccoon says, OH, THAT'S VERY
CLEVER, OLIVE.
THE HOLES HELP THE WIND GET
THROUGH THE SIGN.
[Mr. Raccoon blows]
Elinor says, I THINK YOU'RE RIGHT, MR.
RACCOON.
[Blowing, giggling, Ari swallows]
Ari looks through the hole in his bagel.
Ari says, YEP, THAT MAKES A "HOLE"
LOT OF SENSE. GET IT?
Olive says, OH, ARI.
[Laughing, munching]
A blue doors open and children run into a classroom.
[Clicking, giggling, wind blows]
Olive says, IT'S SO WINDY TODAY,
MS. MOLE.
Ms. Mole wears her curly red hair high on her head. She wears a purple coat over a purple shirt and skirt.
Ms. Mole says, IT SURE IS OLIVE.
WHILE I WAS WALKING HERE TODAY
MY FAVORITE HAT BLEW AWAY.
Elinor says, OH, NO, THE WIND
CAN BE SO PUSHY.
Ms. Mole says, YES, BUT DID YOU KNOW
THAT SOME CRITTERS NEED A PUSH
FROM THE WIND, LIKE THESE SPIDERS?
Ms. Mole opens a pop-up book. Trees, rocks, and a spider nest pop up.
[Rustling]
Ms. Mole says, LET'S TAKE A LOOK.
THIS IS A NEST FOR BABY SPIDERS.
MAYBE IF WE'RE VERY QUIET A
BABY WILL COME OUT.
A baby spider moves out of the nest.
The children say, AWW!
[Squeaking, rustling, gentle music plays]
More spiders crawl out of the nest.
Ms. Mole says, WELCOME TO THE
WORLD LITTLE ONE, BUT THIS BABY
ISN'T ALONE, IT HAS LOTS OF
BROTHERS AND SISTERS.
SO OUR SPIDER NEEDS TO GO
SOMEWHERE LESS CROWDED
WHERE IT'LL HAVE ENOUGH
SPACE AND LOTS OF FOOD.
IT CLIMBS SOMEWHERE HIGH,
AND STICKS OUT A LEG TO FEEL
THE WIND.
THE SPIDER MAKES SOME SILK
THREADS, AND WHOOSH, THE
WIND CARRIES IT INTO THE SKY.
The spider blows up into the sky.
[Rustling, whoosh, slide whistle]
The children say, WHOA!
Elinor asks, WHERE'S OUR
BABY SPIDER GOING?
Ms. Mole replies, WHY, ANYWHERE
THE WIND TAKES IT.
MOST SPIDERS SAIL FOR A SHORT
TIME, BUT SOME SAIL FOR A LONG
TIME. THEY CAN FLY AS HIGH AS A
MOUNTAIN OR OUT TO SEA, BUT AT
LAST IT LANDS.
[Slide whistles]
Ms. Mole says, GOOD JOB, SPIDER.
THIS LOOKS LIKE A NICE PLACE FOR
A NEW HOME, AND THAT'S THE END
OF OUR STORY ABOUT SPIDERS WHO
RIDE THE WIND.
Elinor says, I GUESS THE WINDS
PUSHINESS CAN BE HELPFUL.
Ms. Mole’s hat blows through the window and hits her face.
[Slide whistle, laughing]
Elinor says, THE POKEY PLANT.
Text reads, “The Pokey Plant.” “Directed by Kevin Micallef.”
[Upbeat music plays]
Elinor chases a butterfly. She stops to look at flowers.
Elinor says, OOH, WHAT
INTERESTING FLOWERS. THE
LEAVES ARE SO GREEN.
Olive says, HI, ELINOR, WANT
TO WALK TO SCHOOL WITH US?
Elinor says, SURE, I CAN'T WAIT
FOR SCHOOL TODAY.
Ari asks, WHY, IS IT A SPECIAL DAY?
Elinor says,YES, IT'S A VERY SPECIAL DAY.
Ari asks, OH, IS IT EXTRA SNACKS DAY?
OR MAYBE IT'S CAKE DAY.
Elinor says, NO, SILLY, IT'S PLANT DAY!
Olive says, PLANT DAY IS THE BEST.
MS. MOLE IS GOING TO GIVE EACH
ONE OF US A DIFFERENT PLANT TO
TAKE HOME.
Elinor says, I'VE BEEN LOOKING
FORWARD TO IT FOR WEEKS.
I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY OWN
LITTLE BABY PLANT TO TAKE
CARE OF.
Ari says, YEAH, I HELP THEY CARE
OF MY BABY SISTER SOMETIMES.
Olive says, UM, I THINK THAT'S A
LITTLE DIFFERENT, ARI.
Ari says, YOU'RE RIGHT, MY BABY
SISTER ISN'T A PLANT.
ALTHOUGH, SHE DOES LIKE TO
PLAY IN THE DIRT SOMETIMES.
[Laughing]
[Upbeat music plays]
Olive says, I REALLY WANT
MY PLANT TO GROW, GROW, GROW.
[Giggling]
In a thought bubble above her head, Elinor imagines watering a plant with a yellow watering can. The can has a purple flower on the side.
Elinor says, I BET MY PLANTS
GOING TO BE GREEN WITH
LOTS OF LEAVES.
WE ARE GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH
FUN TOGETHER, AND THEN IT
MIGHT EVEN GROW A FLOWER!
Ari says, UH, FLOWERS ARE OKAY,
BUT I WANT TO PLANT THAT
HANGS FROM THE CEILING
LIKE ME.
Ari hangs upside down from the top of a swing set as Olive and Elinor sit on swings.
[Elinor and Olive giggle]
Olive says, THAT'S FUN.
I JUST WANT SOMETHING WITH
BIG LEAVES AND LOTS OF COLOUR.
Elinor says, I CAN'T WAIT.
LET'S GO GET OUR PLANTS.
Ari says, OKAY!
[Whoosh, upbeat music plays]
Ms. Mole says, ALRIGHT, EVERYONE,
LET'S GET STARTED. WE HAVE AN
EXCITING DAY TODAY.
Ari says, HUH?
Olive asks, WHERE ARE YOU,
MS. MOLE?
Plants cover the top of Ms. Mole’s desk.
Ms. Mole says, WHAT?
OH, YOU CAN'T SEE ME?
Ms. Mole wears a flower costume. Green suspenders hold up a brown flower pot skirt. She wears green leggings and shoes with a green blouse. Ms. Mole wears a pink hat that looks like flower petals on her head.
Ms. Mole says, SURPRISE!
WELCOME TO PLANT
DAY EVERYONE.
[Children laugh]
Elinor cheers, YAY!
Ms. Mole says, OKAY, TODAY,
EVERYONE IS GOING TO GET
ONE OF THESE PLANTS TO
TAKE HOME.
Elinor says, WOW.
A child says, COOL!
Ms. Mole jokes, NOT ME THOUGH.
YOU CAN'T TAKE ME HOME.
[Children laugh]
Ms. Mole says, YOUR JOB IS TO
TAKE CARE OF THESE LITTLE
PLANTS AND HELP THEM GROW.
Children hold their hands up.
Ari asks, HOW DO WE TAKE CARE
OF OUR PLANTS, MS. MOLE?
Olive asks, DO WE READ BOOKS
TO THEM?
Elinor asks, DO WE TAKE THEM
FOR WALKS?
A beaver asks, DO THEY LIKE
TO PLAY GAMES?
Koa, a koala, asks, DO THEY LIKE
TO DRINK SOUP?
Ms. Mole says, OH, DEAR, SO MANY
GOOD QUESTIONS.
ACTUALLY, IT'S PRETTY SIMPLE.
MOST PLANTS JUST NEED WATER
AND SUN.
Ari asks, DO THEY LIKE JUICE?
I LIKE APPLE JUICE AND ORANGE
JUICE AND--
[Ms. Mole chuckles]
Ms. Mole says, THANK YOU, ARI.
NO, IT JUST WATER.
EACH PLANT COMES WITH
INSTRUCTIONS THAT SHOW YOU
HOW MUCH WATER AND SUN
THEY NEED.
THIS ONE HAS THREE DROPS.
SO YOU WATER IT THREE DAYS
A WEEK.
NOW, NEXT WEEK, I WANT EACH
OF YOU TO TELL THE CLASS WHAT
YOU LEARNED ABOUT YOUR PLANT.
REMEMBER, EACH PLANT IS
DIFFERENT, BUT THEY ALL NEED
LOVE AND CARE.
Elinor asks, WHICH PLANT DO I GET,
MS. MOLE?
Ms. Mole says, EVERYONE LINE UP
AND YOU'LL FIND OUT.
[Cheering]
Olive says, SO EXCITED!
Elinor says, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE
MY PLANT. I BET IT'S GOING TO BE
GREEN WITH LOTS OF LEAVES.
In a thought bubble over her head, Elinor imagines a pot with two red flower growing in it.
[Popping]
Ms. Mole says, KOA, THIS PLANT
IS CALLED A FERN.
Koa says, SWEET.
IT'S SO TOTALLY CHILL.
Ms. Mole says, ARI, THIS ONE IS
CALLED AN IVY. IT LIKES TO HANG
FROM THE CEILING.
Ari says, AWESOME.
WE CAN HANG OUT TOGETHER.
[Laughing]
Ms. Mole says, OLIVE, THIS ONE
IS CALLED A RED POINSETTIA.
Olive says, WOW, I LOVE THE COLOR.
Elinor imagines the red flowers.
[Popping, giggling]
Ms. Mole says, HERE YOU GO,
ELINOR. A CACTUS.
[Poof]
Elinor stares at her cactus, disappointed.
Elinor says, OH, OKAY.
[Sighs]
The children hold their plants as they gather in pairs in the playground. Elinor sits by herself beside a sandbox, sadly staring at her cactus.
[Background chatter, laughter]
Ms. Mole says, ALRIGHT, EVERYONE
TIME TO GET TO KNOW ALL ABOUT
YOUR LITTLE PLANTS.
Olive says, I GOT A COLOURFUL
PLANT WITH BIG LEAVES JUST
LIKE I WANTED.
Ari says, AND I GOT A PLANT
THAT HANGS FROM THE CEILING
JUST LIKE I WANTED.
I'M GOING TO HANG IT RIGHT NEXT
TO MY BED AND LOOK AT IT WHILE
I HANG UPSIDE DOWN, SO IT'S GONNA
LOOK RIGHT SIDE UP?
[Elinor sighs, rustling]
Ari says, OKAY, IF I'M UPSIDE DOWN
BUT THE PLANT IS HANGING RIGHT
SIDE UP.
IS IT GOING TO LOOK UPRIGHT DOWN?
Ari moves his plant around and accidently touches his bottom to the needles on Elinor’s cactus.
[Gasp]
Ari says, YOW! OUCH, SOMETHING
JUST POKED ME. WHAT IS
THAT, ELINOR?
[Elinor sighs]
Elinor says, SORRY, ARI, THIS IS
WHAT MS. MOLE GAVE ME.
I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO GET A
PLANT LIKE YOU AND OLIVE, BUT
INSTEAD SHE GAVE ME A CACTUS.
Ari says, A CACTUS? THEY SHOULD
CALL IT AN OUCH-US.
Olive says, BUT, ELINOR, YOU DID GET
A PLANT. CACTUSES ARE PLANTS, TOO.
Elinor says, WHAT?
Olive says, I READ THAT IN MY
NATURE BOOK. IT SAYS THAT
A CACTUS IS A KIND OF PLANT.
Ari says, REALLY? THAT'S A PLANT?
JUST LIKE THESE TWO ARE PLANTS?
Olive nods.
[Birds chirp, gentle notes play]
Elinor says, SO, I DID GET A PLANT.
BUT WHY DOES IT LOOK SO
DIFFERENT? WHY DOESN'T IT HAVE
ANY LEAVES?
Olive says, I DON'T KNOW, BUT IT ALSO
DOESN'T NEED A LOT OF WATER.
THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY YOU ONLY
WATER IT ONCE A WEEK.
Elinor says, WOW, ONCE A WEEK?
THAT'S AMAZING.
Ari says, I'D BE SO THIRSTY IF I ONLY
DRANK WATER ONCE A WEEK.
[Olive giggles]
Olive says, I'M PRETTY SURE YOU'RE
NOT A CACTUS, ARI.
[Elinor and Olive giggle]
Elinor says, LOOK.
HM, BOTH OF YOUR PLANTS NEED
WATER EVERY FEW DAYS. HM, THAT
IS SO INTERESTING! I WONDER WHY
A CACTUS IS SO DIFFERENT.
Ari pulls a needle out of his bottom.
[Boing]
Ari says, AND POKEY.
Elinor says, LET'S SEE IF WE CAN
FIGURE IT OUT.
WE NEED MORE OBSERVATIONS.
[Upbeat music plays]
Elinor says, OKAY, WHY IS A CACTUS
SO DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PLANTS?
Olive says, IT HAS SPIKES AND IT
DOESN'T HAVE LEAVES OR THIN STEMS,
LIKE OTHER PLANTS.
Ari says, THIS REALLY POKES
MY CURIOSITY.
[Laughing]
Olive holds a magnifying glass with her trunk.
She says, LET'S TAKE A CLOSER LOOK.
HUH. IT'S DEFINITELY GREEN LIKE
OTHER PLANTS, BUT THE SHAPE IS
VERY DIFFERENT.
[Rustling, gasp]
Ari trips and bumps into Olive. She jabs the cactus with a stick.
Ari says, SORRY!
Olive says, UH-OH! I ACCIDENTALLY
POKED THE CACTUS!
Elinor says, I HOPE IT'S NOT HURT.
CAN I USE THE MAGNIFYING GLASS?
HM. I THINK THE PLAN IS OKAY, BUT
LOOK, THERE'S WATER COMING OUT
OF THE LITTLE HOLE YOU MADE.
[Dripping]
Olive says, YOU'RE RIGHT.
I THINK I READ ABOUT THIS
IN MY NATURE BOOK, TOO.
[Pages turn]
Olive says, HUH. HERE, IT IS,
CACTUS. IT SAYS THAT CACTUSES
ARE NOT LIKE OTHER PLANTS.
THEY LIVE IN PLACES THAT ARE
HOT AND DRY, SO THEY KEEP THICK
AND ROUNDED TO HELP THEM KEEP
WATER INSIDE.
Elinor says, THAT'S WHY CACTUSES
HAVE A DIFFERENT SHAPE. THEY'RE
FULL OF WATER.
Olvie says, AND THAT'S WHY THEY
DON'T NEED WATER EVERY DAY.
THEY ALREADY HAVE IT.
Ari says, COOL!
[Upbeat music plays]
Olive looks at a photograph in the book that shows a blue bird and a green lizard by a cactus.
Olive says, THE BOOK ALSO SAYS
THAT HAVING WATER INSIDE
MEANS THAT LOTS OF THIRSTY
ANIMALS, LIKE BIRDS AND LIZARDS,
WANT TO EAT THE CACTUS.
Ari says, ALL THIS TALK OF EATING
MAKES ME HUNGRY.
Ari takes a bag with a picture of a sunflower on it out of his pocket.
[Rustling]
Olive asks, ARI, DO YOU ALWAYS
CARRY A SNACK?
Ari says, IT'S IMPORTANT TO
BE PREPARED.
[Munching, birds chirp]
Ari says, HERE YOU GO, BIRDIE.
SUNFLOWER SEEDS ARE DELICIOUS.
AM I RIGHT?
[Rustling, pecking, flapping, gasp]
Ari spreads sunflower seeds on the grass in front of a bird. More birds fly to Ari.
Ari says, HEY, BIRDS, I DON'T HAVE
ENOUGH SEEDS TO SHARE WITH
ALL OF YOU. SHOO, BIRDS, SHOO!
Ari waves the bag at birds as they fly around him.
Ari says, HEY!
[Flapping, chirping]
Ari says, WHOA-OH!
Ari falls into a bush. Broken branches cover his face and hands. The birds back away from him.
[Flapping, rustling]
He says, UH-OH! HUH?
Elinor says, THE BIRDS CAN'T
GET YOUR SEEDS BECAUSE OF
THE POKEY BRANCHES.
In a thought bubble, Elinor imagines Ari covered in branches. She then imagines a cactus in his place.
[She gasps]
Elinor exclaims, ARI, THAT'S IT!
Ari asks, THAT'S WHAT?
Elinor says, I THINK THAT'S
WHY THE CACTUS HAS SPIKES.
IT DOESN'T WANT ANIMALS TO
EAT IT, SO IT USES SPIKES TO
PROTECT ITSELF.
Olive says, I THINK YOU'RE RIGHT,
ELINOR. THAT MAKES SENSE.
Ari flaps his wings and shakes off the broken branches.
[Flapping]
Ari says, WOO-HOO!
WE SOLVED THE MYSTERY!
OKAY, HERE YOU GO, BIRDIES.
Ari pours the rest of the seeds on the ground.
[Rustling, chirping]
Elinor says, I WAS A LITTLE SAD
WHEN I DIDN'T GET A REGULAR
PLANT, BUT NOW I KNOW CACTUSES
ARE SO COOL.
I'M GOING TO TAKE REALLY GOOD
CARE OF YOU.
[Upbeat music plays]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, SOME
THINGS ARE DIFFERENT.
[Door opens, whistling]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, OR NOT
WHAT YOU THOUGHT THEY'D BE.
[Door closes, whistling]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, BUT
THAT'S WHAT MAKES THEM SPECIAL.
[Whistling]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, IF YOU
NOTICE AND SEE.
[Whistling, water drop]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, A
CACTUS IS SO COOL .
IT'S NOT LIKE OTHER PLANTS.
IT'S ROUND WITH LOTS OF SPIKES,
Ari sings, THAT CAN POKE YOU
IN YOUR PANTS
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, SOME
THINGS ARE DIFFERENT
[Whistling]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, OR NOT
WHAT YOU THOUGHT THEY'D BE.
[Whistling]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, BUT
THAT'S WHAT MAKES
THEM SPECIAL.
[Whistling]
Elinor, Olive, and Ari sing, IF YOU
NOTICE AND SEE.
[Whistling, door opens]
Ari opens a door. He and Olive wave to Elinor as they walk through a doorway.
Olive and Ari say, BYE!
Elinor says, SEE YOU LATER!
[Door closes, upbeat music plays]
Pink flowers grow on Elinor’s cactus.
Sometime later, light reflects off the window of the schoolhouse.
[Birds chirp]
Ms. Mole says, OKAY, KIDS, I HOPE
YOU HAD A GREAT WEEK TAKING
CARE OF YOUR PLANTS.
NOW, WHO WANTS TO BE THE FIRST
TO TELL US WHAT THEY LEARNED?
Elinor raises her hand eagerly.
[Gasping]
Ms. Mole says, AH, ELINOR,
COME ON UP.
[Elinor clears her throat]
Elinor says, I LEARNED THAT
CACTUSES ARE SO COOL.
THEY ARE PLANTS BUT THEY'RE
NOT THIN AND LEAFY. THEY ARE
THICK AND ROUND BECAUSE THEY
HOLD WATER INSIDE AND THEY
HAVE POKEY SPIKES TO PROTECT
THEM FROM ANIMALS THAT WANT
TO EAT THEM.
[Children exclaim]
Elinro says, EVEN THOUGH THIS
CACTUS WAS NOT WHAT I WAS
EXPECTING, I LOVED TAKING
CARE OF IT.
EACH PLANT IS DIFFERENT, BUT
THEY ALL NEED WATER AND
SUN AND CARE.
Elinor pulls a cloth off her cactus and reveals the pink flowers.
The beaver says, LOOK, IT
HAS FLOWERS.
Koa says, I DIDN'T KNOW
A CACTUS HAD FLOWERS. COOL.
Elinor’s classmates run to where she holds the cactus.
Children exclaim, AWESOME!
WOW! COOL. COOL! OOH!
[Upbeat music plays]
