Transcript: Bird Song
“Stop” is spelled out with old leaves. Blue, yellow, and green birds eat a white liquid that spells out “Look”. A duck walks across the word “Listen” carved into dirt.
A koala bear climbs a tree branch with its baby on its back.
A child says, OH, LOOK AT THAT ONE!
An echidna crawls around its zoo enclosure.
Another child says,
LOOK, THERE'S AN ECHIDNA!
A kangaroo grazes in its enclosure.
A child says, A KANGAROO!
Five young girls follow a dark-haired zookeeper down a tree-lined path.
A girl shouts, KANGAROO!
Another says, KANGAROO.
A dark-haired girl wearing a blue shirt with a shiny silver star smiles
She says, LOOK.
A duck floats in a pond.
(Laughing)
The girls hop beside the kangaroo.
Kangaroo joeys hide under a rock.
The dark-haired man holds two grey birds.
A girl says,
AND SOME LOOK LIKE OWLS,
AND SOME LOOK LIKE TREES.
AND WHEN THEY STAY VERY STILL
LIKE TREES,
THEY LOOK LIKE A TREE.
The girls pet the birds.
(Screeching and tweeting)
One of the birds with blue, yellow, and green feathers flies down from a branch.
A girl says, LOOK, THEY'RE FLYING!
The girls all say,
THIS IS HOW BIRDS SOUND.
TWEET, TWEET, TWEET, TWEET,
TWEET, TWEET, TWEET, TWEET!
(Laughing)
Later, the girls sit at a picnic table. Five of the colourful birds hop toward them. The birds feed.
A girl says,
I CAN SEE BLUE, YELLOW,
GREEN, RED, AND SOME ORANGE.
(Chirping)
A blonde-haired girl wearing a bright orange shirt holds up a feeding tray. Two of the birds feed from it. Another bird leaps onto the tray.
A girl says,
THEY'RE VERY, VERY HUNGRY
TODAY.
(Chirping)
Other birds watch the birds feed.
The girls shout, LOTS AND LOTS!
The birds continue to feed from a hanging basket. A bird stands on the blonde-haired girl’s head.
