A child’s voice cries, WHEE!

(Giggling)

(Music playing)

An animated sun shines. Mandisa waves from beside a tree. Mandisa has black hair held back with a headband and wears denim overalls over a peach t-shirt.

An animated bird and ladybug move around Mandisa. Mandisa holds a crafted rabbit and a colourful monster made from a tissue box.

A title reads: Curious Crafting

(Cheerful upbeat music)

Mandisa sits at a low white table with two young children. She wears a green t-shirt under her overalls.

Mandisa asks, HAVE YOU GUYS EVER SEEN A TIGER AT THE ZOO?

Both children say, YEAH.

Mandisa asks, WHAT DO TIGERS LIKE TO DO?

A child with curly brown hair in two ponytails says, ROAR!

A child with short black hair says, EAT.

Mandisa asks, DID YOU ALSO KNOW TIGERS LIKE TO HOLD YOUR PENCILS, PAINT BRUSHES, AND SCISSORS LIKE THIS ONE?

Mandisa puts a crafted tiger on the table. Its body is made with orange cardboard tubes. Mandisa puts pencils and scissors in the upright tubes.

(Tiger meowing)

Both children ask, CAN WE MAKE ONE?

Mandisa says, YES, LET'S GET WHAT WE NEED.

(Upbeat pop music)

Mandisa and the children get up from the table and walk to a craft room. The children gather supplies. Items are placed on a table.

Mandisa narrates, YOU'RE GOING TO NEED CONSTRUCTION PAPER AND SCISSORS, A GLUE STICK, DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE, BLACK MARKER, DOT STICKERS, CARDBOARD TUBES, AND BLACK CONSTRUCTION PAPER.

(Scissors cutting paper)

Mandisa is back at the low table with the children and the craft supplies.

Mandisa says, TO MAKE OUR TIGER PENCIL HOLDER WE'RE GONNA NEED FOUR TOILET PAPER ROLLS. I HAVE TWO RECTANGLES TO TRACE ON YOUR ORANGE CONSTRUCTION PAPER SO YOU CAN MAKE FOUR IDENTICAL PIECES TO GLUE ONTO YOUR TOILET PAPER ROLL. TRACE IT WITH YOUR PENCIL.

The children trace on the construction paper.

The black-haired child says, OOPS.

Mandisa looks at the child's paper.

Mandisa says, THAT'S OKAY. SO GO AHEAD AND CUT OUT YOUR RECTANGLE.

(Upbeat pop music)

The children use safety scissors to cut the orange paper.

The black-haired child says, I'M CUTTING OUT THE SIDES FIRST.

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT, OKAY.

The black-haired child says, AND THE CORNERS.

Mandisa says, NOW TO ATTACH OUR RECTANGLES TO OUR CARDBOARD TUBES WE'RE GONNA USE DOUBLE SIDED TAPE. STICK A PIECE ON ONE END HERE, CUT IT, AND THEN YOU'RE GONNA PEEL OFF THE PAPER BACKING AND THEN WE'RE GOING TO STICK OUR TUBE IN IT LIKE THAT. WE'LL PUT A SECOND PIECE RIGHT HERE…

(Music playing)

The children attach the tape on the orange paper.

Mandisa says, SO ROLL IT FROM THIS END LIKE THIS.

The children roll the orange paper around the tubes.

Mandisa says, GREAT.

The brown-haired child asks, LIKE THIS?

Mandisa says, EXACTLY!

(Paint brush swishing over paper)

Mandisa says, NOW WE HAVE TO ATTACH OUR TOILET ROLLS ALL TOGETHER. SO WE'RE GONNA PUT A PIECE OF DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE ON ONE SIDE…

(Music playing)

Mandisa helps the children with the tape.

Mandisa says, STICK IT TO THE NEXT TUBE. STAND IT UP AND STICK IT ON.

The black-haired child looks through the tubes at the brown-haired child.

Mandisa asks, WHAT DO WE NEED NEXT?

The black-haired child asks, THE FEET?

Mandisa says, AND THE…

Mandisa points to the tiger’s tail and head.

The children say, TAIL AND THE HEAD.

Mandisa says, FOR THAT, I'VE GOT SOME CONSTRUCTION PAPER AND I ALSO HAVE SOME TEMPLATES. ONE FOR YOUR HEAD, ONE FOR YOUR TAIL. HERE YOU'RE GONNA TRACE THIS CIRCLE AND THEN CUT IT OUT.

(Upbeat pop music)

The children cut ovals out of the yellow construction paper.

The black-haired child asks, WHAT ABOUT THE STRIPES?

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT! I ACTUALLY CUT SOME BLACK TRIANGLES FOR YOU GUYS TO USE AND YOU CAN GLUE THEM ONTO YOUR TIGER'S CHEEKS AND FOREHEAD USING A GLUE STICK.

(Music playing)

The children glue the black triangles onto the ovals.

Mandisa says, SO FOR THE EYES I USED ONE WHITE DOT STICKER AND ONE LITTLE BLACK DOT STICKER.

The children add the stickers to make eyes.

Mandisa says, I CUT OUT A WHITE CIRCLE FOR THE MOUTH AND A LITTLE PINK HEART FOR THE NOSE.

The children glue the mouths on the paper ovals.

The black-haired child says, PINK!

Mandisa says, TO DRAW ON THE MOUTH, I'M GONNA GIVE YOU A BLACK MARKER.

The children draw with the markers.

Mandisa asks, WHAT'S THE LAST THING WE NEED TO ADD TO OUR TIGER'S FACE?

Both children say, EARS.

The black-haired child holds the finished tiger’s face.

The black-haired child says, BEEP.

Mandisa asks, OKAY, WHAT'S THE NEXT STEP?

The black-haired child says, GLUE THEM TOGETHER.

Mandisa says, GLUE YOUR HEAD, TAIL, AND FEET ONTO YOUR TIGER'S BODY.

The brown-haired child says, AND GLUE THEM TOGETHER.

Mandisa helps the children stand the tigers up on the table.

Mandisa says, OUR TIGER PENCIL HOLDERS ARE ALL DONE. SHOULD WE TEST THEM OUT?

The brown-haired child says YEAH.

The black-haired child says, YEP!

The children put pencils and scissors in the tubes.

Mandisa says, GREAT, THEY WORK. I THINK OUR TIGERS ARE HUNGRY FOR SOME MORE CRAFT SUPPLIES. SHOULD WE GET SOME?

Both children cry, YEAH!

Mandisa stands.

Mandisa says, OKAY, LET'S GO.

Mandisa and the children hurry away with their tiger pencil holders.
