The sun shines brightly over a park as an airplane flies past. Mandisa Watts, a smiling woman with dark hair tied up neatly in a colourful scarf, walks under a tree. She wears denim overalls over her peach-coloured t-shirt.

In the tree, a colourful bird sits on a branch. A ladybug lands on a purple flower. Other animals move through the park.

Mandisa catches a bunny rabbit made out of a cup and a fluffy monster made out of a tissue box.

Colourful letters read, “Curious Crafting”.

Mandisa sits with two young children at the crafting table.

Mandisa asks,
WHAT KIND OF CRAFT CAN
WE MAKE WITH A PAPER PLATE?

A dark-haired girl wearing a grey shirt and a pink bow in her hair answers,
I KNOW, A HAT.

A boy with short dark hair and wearing a red button-up shirt says,
HOW 'BOUT A CAR?

Mandisa replies,
THOSE ARE ALL
GREAT SUGGESTIONS.
WHAT WOULD YOU THINK IF WE
CRAFTED A FRIENDLY LLAMA?

Mandisa holds a construction paper llama on a popsicle stick.

The dark-haired boy replies, YEAH.

Mandisa says,
GREAT, LET'S GO GET
OUR OTHER SUPPLIES.

The dark-haired girl replies,
LET'S DO IT.

(Upbeat music)

Mandisa and the kids get up. They hurry to the crafting zone and stand around a white table.

Mandisa says,
WE'RE GOING TO
NEED POPSICLE STICKS
AND CONSTRUCTION
PAPER, WHITE CARDSTOCK,
PAPER PLATES, GLITTER GLUE,
PAINT AND PAINTBRUSHES,
MARKERS, MASKING TAPE,
AND DOT STICKERS.

(Paintbrush whooshing)

Later, Mandisa and the kids sit at another table. Paper plates lie in front of them.

Mandisa asks,
WHO'S READY TO PAINT?

The kids reply, ME.

Mandisa asks,
CAN YOU PAINT YOUR
PAPER PLATE YELLOW?
GO AHEAD.

(Light music)

The kids dip their paintbrushes in yellow paint and paint white paper plates.

Mandisa says,
GREAT, LET'S SET
THESE ASIDE TO DRY
AND GET BACK TO
THE CRAFTING ZONE.

The kids reply, OKAY.

(Scissors cutting)

Later, at the table in the crafting zone, Mandisa holds up her construction paper llama.

She says,
LET'S MAKE THE
BODY OF OUR LLAMA.
CAN YOU FOLD YOUR
PAPER PLATE IN HALF?
AND THEN CUT ALONG THAT LINE.
SO YOU'RE GONNA OPEN IT UP.
SO ONE HALF OF OUR PAPER PLATE
WILL BE OUR LLAMA'S BODY,
THE OTHER HALF, WE'LL CUT OUT-

The dark-haired girl replies, LEGS.

Mandisa says,
I HAVE A TEMPLATE OF
LLAMA'S HEAD, LEGS, AND TAIL
FOR YOU TO TRACE AND CUT
OUT ON YOUR PAPER PLATE.

(Light music)

Mandisa says,
OKAY, NOW CAN YOU TRACE THE
LEGS FOUR TIMES ALONG
YOUR PAPER PLATE.

(Light music)

The kids trace their llama’s body parts on half of their painted plates.

Mandisa says,
WE HAVE EVERYTHING TRACED.
LET'S START CUTTING THEM OUT.

(Light music)

The kids cut out their llama’s head and legs.

Mandisa says, GOOD JOB.

The dark-haired girl puts down her plate.

She says, DONE.

Mandisa says,
AND YOU CAN GLUE YOUR
LLAMA'S HEAD ONTO ONE SIDE,
AND THEN THE TAIL
TO THE OTHER SIDE,
AND THEN GLUE THE FOUR
LEGS AT THE BOTTOM.

(Light music)

The kids glue the head of their llama onto the cut side of the other half of their paper plates. They glue the legs onto the round side.

Mandisa asks,
SHOULD WE GIVE
OUR LLAMAS A FACE?
NICE.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO DRAW
SOME REINS FOR YOUR LLAMA?

The kids reply, YEAH.

They draw a face and reigns on the llama with a black magic marker.

Mandisa says,
NEXT THING WE'RE GONNA
DO IS DECORATE A SADDLE.
WE'RE GOING TO USE A PIECE
OF CONSTRUCTION PAPER
THAT I CUT INTO A CIRCLE,
AND DECORATE IT
USING DOT STICKERS.
CAN YOU TAKE YOUR CIRCLE
AND FOLD IT IN HALF?

(Light music)

The kids both fold a circle of pink construction paper in half.

Mandisa says,
NOW YOU CAN START DECORATING
ONE SIDE OF YOUR CIRCLE.

(Light music)

The kids use the dot stickers to decorate their saddles.

Mandisa asks,
WHAT DO YOU THINK
WE'RE GONNA DO NEXT?

The kids answer, GLUE IT.

Mandisa says,
YOU CAN GLUE ON YOUR
SADDLE JUST LIKE THAT.

(Light music)

Mandisa folds the dark-haired girl’s saddle over the back of her llama.

The kids glue the saddles onto their llama.

The dark-haired boy asks,
OKAY, WHAT'S NEXT?

Mandisa answers,
OH, IT'S THE FUN PART.
WE GET TO ADD SOME-

The kids reply, GLITTER.

Mandisa says,
I HAVE SOME GLITTER GLUE HERE.

(Light music)

The dark-haired boy uses purple and blue glitter glue on his llama’s saddle while the dark-haired girl uses pink.

The dark-haired girl says,
GLITTER'S ALL DONE.
WHAT NEXT, MANDISA?

Mandisa answers,
IT'S TIME TO TURN
OUR LLAMAS INTO PUPPETS
BY ADDING A CRAFT
STICK TO THE BOTTOM.
WE ARE GOING TO USE SOME
TAPE TO STICK IT ON.
WE'LL JUST STICK THAT ON.
WOW, THESE LLAMAS LOOK AMAZING.
NOW MY LLAMA HAS
SOMEONE TO PLAY WITH.
LET'S GO TO THE ZOO AND
VISIT SOME MORE LLAMAS.

Katie and Michael reply, YEAH.

Mandisa says, OKAY, LET'S GO.

(Upbeat music)

Mandisa and the kids get up and walk around with their llamas.
