In the tree, a colourful bird sits on a branch. A ladybug lands on a purple flower. Other animals move through the park.
Mandisa catches a bunny rabbit made out of a cup and a fluffy monster made out of a tissue box.

EXCELLENT AT THIS.

Mandisa asks,
WOULD YOU LIKE TO CRAFT
YOUR OWN MOVING-EYE CAT?
The kids reply, YEAH!
Mandisa says,
LET'S GET OUR MATERIALS.
(Bright music)
Mandisa and the kids hurry to the crafting table. They collect their crafting supplies.
Mandisa says,
WE'RE GOING TO NEED POMPOMS
AND WATERCOLOR PAINT,
PAINTBRUSHES, A PAPER
PLATE, BLACK MARKERS,
AND WHITE CARDSTOCK.
THE FIRST STEP FOR
MAKING OUR MOVING-EYE CAT
IS TO DRAW THE BODY OF THE CAT.
I HAVE TWO PAPER PLATES
HERE THAT YOU CAN USE
TO TRACE A CIRCLE.
(Playful music)
The kids begin to draw their cats. They trace a large circle in the middle of their page.
Mandisa asks,
CAN YOU DRAW TWO BIG
CIRCLES FOR THE EYES?
(Playful music)
The kids draw their cat’s eyes.
Mandisa says,
YOU CAN DRAW A LITTLE
HEART FOR THE CAT'S NOSE,
A J AND THEN A BACKWARDS
J FOR THE MOUTH.
(Playful music)
The kids draw a nose and mouth for their cat.
Mandisa asks,
SHOULD WE ADD SOME WHISKERS?
(Playful music)
The kids draw whiskers.
Mandisa says,
NOW LET'S DRAW OUR CAT'S-
The kids reply, LEGS.

The kids draw legs for their cats.
Mandisa says,
GOOD, AND THEN WE'RE
GONNA ADD TWO LITTLE FEET
AT THE BOTTOM.
(Playful music)
The kids draw feet.
Mandisa says,
NOW WE'RE GONNA DRAW THE
HIND LEGS OR THE BACK LEGS.
(Playful music)
The kids draw the back legs.
Mandisa asks,
THE LAST THING WE
NEED TO DRAW ARE THE?
The kids answer, EARS.
Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT.

The kids draw ears for their cats.
Mandisa says,
NEXT, WE'RE GONNA
CUT OUT OUR EYES.
WE'RE GONNA MAKE A
SLIGHT FOLD ON THE EYE,
AND THEN TAKE YOUR SCISSORS,
AND JUST MAKE A
SLIT RIGHT THERE.
AND THEN YOU CAN START
CUTTING ALL THE WAY AROUND.
(Playful music)
Mandisa helps the kids cut out eye holes for their cat drawings.
She says,
I CUT OUT TWO PAPER STRIPS
TO MAKE OUR MOVING EYES.
SO WE'LL PUT THEM
UNDERNEATH OUR KITTY CAT,
AND I'LL GET YOU TO
JUST DRAW THE CENTER
OF YOUR EYE RIGHT
THERE WITH YOUR MARKER.
(Playful music)
The kids draw eyes on the strips of paper.
Mandisa says,
I WONDER HOW WE SHOULD
ADD SOME COLOR TO OUR CAT.
The blonde-haired boy answers,
BY PAINTING THEM.
The dark-haired girl adds,
LOTS OF PAINT.
Mandisa replies,
GREAT IDEA.
LET'S GO TO THE PAINT ZONE.

The kids carry their cat drawings to the paint zone. Mandisa sits down with them.
She says,
OKAY, WE ARE GONNA

THAT IS THE MOVIE THEATER,
AND THAT'S THE TITLE.
Mandisa says,
OKAY, NOW LET'S

IT'S TIME TO ATTACH THE EYES.
WE'RE GOING TO GLUE A SHEET
OF PAPER OVER OUR EYES.
SO YOU'RE GOING TO ADD GLUE
JUST A FEW CENTIMETERS AWAY
FROM THE STRIP, AND THEN
YOU CAN STICK YOUR SHEET
OF PAPER INTO THE GLUE.
(Playful music)
The kids glue paper onto the backs of their paintings.
Mandisa says,
LET'S TURN OUR CATS OVER.
SHOULD WE MAKE THEM
LOOK RIGHT AND LEFT?
The blonde-haired boy replies,
YEAH.
(The kids meow)
The kids pull on the strips of paper and move the eyes of their cat drawings.
Mandisa says,
CATS LIKE TO LOOK
OUT THE WINDOW.
SHOULD WE HEAD OVER THERE?
The kids shout, YEAH!

Mandisa and the kids hurry to a window.
