On a stage, Doobeedoo, attached to a rope, hops into the side of a stone.

Jasmine narrates, ONCE UPON A TIME, DOOBEEDOO WENT OUT ALONE. BUT THE FOREST WAS SO DARK, HE DIDN'T SEE THE STONE!

[Pulleys creaking, Jambo exclaiming]

Jasmine pulls levers, and the backdrop on the stage moves, with clouds moving up. Doobeedoo dangles from the rope with his eye shut. In the audience, Jambo covers his ears.

Jasmine narrates, DOOBEEDOO WAS IN TROUBLE, HE WANTED HIS MAMA. BUT SWOOPING TO THE RESCUE CAME SUPER DOODOOWAH!

[Pulleys creaking, fan gusting, Jambo groaning]

Doodoowah dangles from a rope, wearing a cape and a mask over his eyes. Jasmine turns on a fan and Doodoowah blows towards Doobeedoo. Jambo plugs his ears with his fingers as Doodoowah and Doobeedoo swing on their ropes.

Jasmine narrates, SO, WHEN THINGS ARE LOOKING BLEAK, ALL YOUR HOPE IS GONE, YOU JUST MIGHT BE SAVED BY A CHAMELEON!

The ropes lower Doobeedoo and Doodoowah to the stage.

Jasmine says, WELL, DID YOU LIKE IT?

[Gentle music plays]

Jambo says, I LOVED IT; IT WAS FANTASTIC! A MASTERPIECE! ALTHOUGH THERE ARE A COUPLE OF THINGS YOU COULD LOOK AT, A FEW LITTLE DETAILS.

Jasmine says, THAT MEANS YOU DIDN'T LIKE IT.

Jambo says, OF COURSE I LIKED IT!

Jasmine says, UH, SORRY. IT'S THE ACTING, ISN'T IT? IT'S NOT BELIEVABLE.

[Tinging]

Doobeedoo and Doodoowah look at Jasmine with narrowed eyes.

Jambo says, NO, THE ACTING WAS FINE, BUT, UM...

[Mellow piano music plays]

Jasmine asks, IS IT THE SCENERY?

Jambo says, NO.

Jasmine asks, THE COSTUMES?

Jambo says, NO.

Jasmine asks, IS IT THE STAGING?

Jambo says, NO, IT'S NOT BECAUSE OF ANY OF THAT.

Jasmine asks, THEN WHAT IS IT?

Jambo says, THE NOISE, JASMINE. ALL THOSE PULLEYS MAKE A LOT OF NOISE. BUT I THINK I'VE GOT A SOLUTION.

[Slide whistle]

Jambo takes sheet music out of his hat.

Jambo says, AH, PLAYS WHERE PEOPLE FALL IN LOVE, FUNNY PLAYS, SCARY PLAYS. AH, THIS ONE! MUSIC FOR ADVENTURE STORIES. DO YOUR PLAY AGAIN, AND YOU'LL SEE.

Jasmine says, HMM.

Jasmine stands beside her levers. Jambo pushes his piano beside the stage and gives Jasmine a thumbs-up.

[Jambo chuckling, adventure piano music plays, quiet creaking]

On the stage, Doobeedoo hops into the stone, and a rope pulls him into the air. Doodoowah flies to him, and they land on the stage.

Jasmine narrates, ONCE UPON A TIME, MY FRIENDS, DOOBEEDOO WENT OUT ALONE. BUT THE FOREST WAS SO DARK HE DIDN'T SEE THE STONE. DOOBEEDOO WAS IN TROUBLE. HE WANTED HIS MAMA. BUT SWOOPING TO THE RESCUE CAME SUPER DOODOOWAH! AND JUST WHEN THINGS ARE LOOKING BLEAK, AND ALL YOUR HOPE IS GONE, YOU JUST MIGHT BE SAVED BY A CHAMELEON!

Jambo asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Jasmine says, YES, YOU WERE RIGHT! IT WAS AMAZING!

[Mellow piano music plays]

Jambo says, WHAT YOU NEEDED WAS A SOUNDTRACK. MUSIC IS JUST PERFECT FOR BRINGING OUT ALL THE EMOTIONS IN A STORY.

Jasmine says, THEN WE'RE READY TO DO THE SHOW!

[Both laughing, bell ringing, jazz music plays, boinging]

Lalalas sit in tiers facing the stage.

Jambo says, AH.

[Wind gusting]

Jasmine starts her fan and blows Jambo’s sheet music away.

Jasmine narrates, ONCE UPON A TIME, MY FRIENDS…

Jambo says, GIVE ME A SEC! OH, THAT'S IT.

Jambo puts sheet music on his piano.

Jasmine narrates, ONCE UPON A TIME, MY FRIENDS, DOOBEEDOO WENT OUT ALONE.

[Boinging, creaking, Jambo playing slow, eerie music]

[Lalalas shivering]

The Lalalas sing, LA.

Jambo says, TROMBONES, THAT'S NOT THE RIGHT MUSIC, IS IT?

Jambo changes his music. On the stage, Doobeedoo runs into the side of the stone.

Jasmine narrates, BUT THE FOREST WAS SO DARK, HE DIDN'T SEE THE STONE.

[Jambo playing upbeat music]

Lalalas happily sing, LALALALA, LALALALA.

[Rustling]

Jambo looks at the sheet music.

Jambo says, TUBAS... IT'S NOT THAT ONE EITHER.

[Jasmine groaning]

Jasmine narrates, DOOBEEDOO WAS IN TROUBLE, HE WANTED HIS MAMA. THEN SWOOPING TO THE RESCUE CAME SUPER DOODOOWAH.

[Jambo playing soft, sad music, Lalalas crying]

Doodoowah swings to Doobeedoo.

Jasmine asks, JAMBO, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!

Jambo says, IT WASN'T THAT ONE EITHER. I THINK I'VE LOST THE MUSIC, JASMINE.

[Pulleys creaking]

Jasmine says, IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SCARY OR TO MAKE PEOPLE CRY! OR TO MAKE THEM LAUGH!

[Thumping]

Jasmine lets go of a lever, and Doobeedoo and Doodoowah fall onto the stage.

The Lalalas sing, LALALALALA, LALALALA, LALALALALA.

[Jambo laughing]

Jambo says, YOU HAVE TO ADMIT, IT WAS A BIT FUNNY.

[Jasmine grunting]

Jasmine walks away from Jambo.

Jambo says, OH.

[Tense music plays]

Jasmine stands on the stage with her back to Jambo. Doobeedoo and Doodoowah sit between them.

Jasmine says, HE RUINED MY PLAY.

Jambo says, SHE DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO THANK ME.

Jasmine says, HE ALWAYS HAS TO DO THINGS THE WAY HE WANTS!

Jambo says, I JUST WANTED TO HELP, AND I'VE ENDED UP GETTING THE BLAME.

Doobeedoo and Doodoowah leave the stage and sit at the piano. Doobeedoo plays the piano with his tail while Doodoowah jumps on the pedal.

[Ragtime music plays]

Jasmine says, HE ALWAYS WANTS TO BE THE BIG STAR.

Jambo says, SHE NEVER LETS ANYONE HELP HER.

Jasmine says, IF I SAY WHITE, HE SAYS BLACK.

Jambo says, IF I SAY PEPPER, SHE SAYS SALT.

Jasmine says, IF I SAY CAT, HE SAYS DOG!

Jambo says, IF I SAY KITTY, SHE SAYS PUP.

Lalalas sing, LALALALA, LALALALA.

Jambo says, HEY, STOP IT! THIS ISN'T FUNNY.

Jasmine says, NOW, COME ON, JAMBO, YOU HAVE TO ADMIT, IT'S A BIT FUNNY.

[Giggling, laughing]

[Jasmine and Jambo laughing musically]

[Gentle music plays]

Jasmine and Jambo hug, and the Lalalas snuggle. On the stage, Jasmine and Jambo sit back-to-back.

Jasmine says, OH, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING ME WITH THE PLAY.

Jambo says, I'M VERY SORRY I MESSED IT ALL UP.

Jasmine says, WHAT DO YOU MEAN? NOW WE'VE GOT THREE!

[Ta-Da singing fanfare]

Ta-Da jumps over Jasmine and Jambo. Jasmine plays the piano.

[Adventure music plays]

Jasmine says, WE'VE GOT A PLAY ABOUT DARING ADVENTURES!

[Eerie music plays, bat squeaking]

Jasmine says, ONE THAT'S SCARY! OOH!

[Noisemaker squeaking, happy music plays]

Jasmine says, AND ONE TO MAKE YOU LAUGH!

[Laughing]

[Adventure music plays]

Doobeedoo and Doodoowah open the curtains on the stage. Jasmine sits powdering her nose at a table. Jambo hangs above her as a mirror. They notice the open curtain, and Jasmine pushes the table to the side. Jambo transforms into a ship, and Jasmine stands on the prow. She wears a black bandana over her hair.

Jasmine and Jambo sing, IT'S TIME TO TELL A TALE TO BE ON OUR WAY, TO SET SAIL ON OUR ADVENTURE.

Jambo transforms into a dragon, and Jasmine dresses like a knight.

Jasmine and Jambo sing, IT'S TIME TO SET THE SCENE. IMAGINARY WORLDS, ALL DESIGNED TO MAKE YOU FEEL FIRST FULL OF HOPE, THEN SO VERY TENSE, SUSPENSE.

Jasmine waits in a tower.

Jasmine and Jambo sing, THINGS LOOK BAD AND A STRANGE CONUNDRUM. HOW CAN THEY WORK IT OUT? THEN YOU LAUGH OUT LOUD AT THE JOKES THAT YOU SAW COMING.

Jasmine pulls a rope and hoists Jambo up into the air. Doobeedoo and Doodoowah move scenery pieces across the stage. Doobeedoo plays a drum, and Jasmine plays the piano.

[Chiming, adventure music plays]

Doobeedoo, Jambo, Doodoowah, and Jasmine swing on ropes. They all wear wings and pointed hats and carry wands.

Jasmine and Jambo sing, MUSIC, EFFECTS, AND SOUNDS BRING EMOTIONS OUT. THEY ARE THERE WHEN THE STORY NEEDS THEM. EVERYTHING YOU CAN DO, JUST DEPEND ON ME. WE'RE A GROUP; WE'RE A TROUPE OF PLAYERS. FIRST, WE'LL DESIGN THE SET THEN WE'LL ACT IT OUT SO IT ALL LOOKS ALMOST REAL.

Jasmine, Doodoowah, and Doobeedoo wear superhero caps and masks. They swing across the stage on ropes.

Jasmine and Jambo sing, AND WHEN WE TAKE A BOW, WE WILL FEEL SOMEHOW IT WAS PART OF YOUR LIFE STORY.

Jambo transforms into a ship, and Jasmine stands on the prow. Doobeedoo and Doodoowah wear sailor’s hats. Jasmine dresses as a knight, and Jambo transforms into a dragon.

[Tense music plays]

Jasmine and Jambo sing, WE ARE A GROUP; WE'RE A TROUPE OF PLAYERS. WE ARE A GROUP; WE'RE A TROUPE OF PLAYERS.

Doobeedoo, Jambo, Doodoowah, and Jasmine swing on ropes. They all wear wings and pointed hats and carry wands.

[Music stops, birds singing]

[Gentle music plays]

On the stage, Jasmine stands attached to a rope. Doobeedoo sits with his tail over a lever, and Doodoowah sits beside him.

Jasmine says, READY!

Doobeedoo turns on the fan, and Jasmine blows on the rope.

Jasmine cheers, WOO! I'M FLYING!

[Slide whistle]

Jasmine detaches from the rope and flies away from the stage.

Jasmine shouts, WHOA!

[Wind gusting]

Doobeedoo turns off the fan. Jambo floats toward the stage as a hot air balloon, and Jasmine rides in the basket. She hops down to the stage.

Jasmine says, THANKS, JAMBO. OH, CAN WE DO IT AGAIN?

[Jambo chuckling]
