[Cheering]
Jambo says, TCHAIKOVSKY'S BEARD AND WHISKERS, WHAT A GREAT SONG! THE WHOLE OF SOUNDLAND IS HAPPY.
[Fanfare plays]
Ta-Da leaps over the stage.
Jasmine says, HAH, THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S "THE GOOD MOOD SONG!" YOU KNOW WHAT? WE'LL PLAY IT EVERY MORNING, AND EVERYONE WILL START THE DAY IN A GOOD MOOD!
[Laughing]
Jambo says, WAIT A MINUTE, I ONLY START THE DAY IN A GOOD MOOD IF I'VE HAD A NICE, LONG LYING.
[Everyone grumbling]
Jambo says, OH.
Jasmine says, WE WANT TO DO SOMETHING NICE FOR EVERYONE, AND ALL YOU CAN THINK ABOUT IS SLEEPING?
[Gentle music plays]
Jambo says, BUT I…
Jasmine says, YOU'RE AN OLD SPOIL SPORT, JAMBO!
Jambo says, OH.
Jambo walks away from the stage and stops.
Jambo says, OH? AH!
[Energetic music plays]
Jambo turns into a rocket and blasts away from the stage.
[Gentle music plays]
Jasmine says, COME ON, WE ALL LOVE JAMBO TO BITS, BUT SOMETIMES, I DON'T KNOW, IT'S AS IF HE ONLY EVER THINKS ABOUT HIMSELF.
Later, Jambo pushes buttons on the soundboards. A microphone hangs by a speaker. Jasmine peers over the speaker at Jambo.
[Jambo humming, beeping]
Jasmine asks, JAMBO, WHAT'S THIS?
Jambo says, I'M SETTING UP A RECORDING STUDIO, SOUNDLAND ROAD.
Jasmine asks, JAMBO A RECORDING STUDIO?! AND WHAT'S IT FOR?
Jambo says, IT'S FOR RECORDING A SONG.
Jasmine asks, WHICH ONE?!
Jambo says, "THE GOOD MOOD SONG," THAT WAY EVERYONE WILL BE ABLE TO PUT IT ON WHENEVER THEY NEED TO GET IN A GOOD MOOD. THE ONES WHO GET UP EARLY CAN LISTEN TO IT WHILE THEY HAVE BREAKFAST.
Jasmine says, HAH, AND THE SLEEPYHEADS LIKE YOU CAN LISTEN TO IT AT LUNCH TIME!
Jambo says, OR SUPPER TIME!
[Both laughing, Jasmine singing]
Later, the band stands beneath the microphone. Doodoowah and Jasmine hold their guitars, Doobeedoo sits by the drum set, and the three Lalalas stand beside it.
Jambo says, YOU HAVE TO PLAY INTO THE MICROPHONE, AND IT WILL ALL BE RECORDED HERE. ARE YOU READY?
Jasmine says, MMHM!
Jambo says, ONE, TWO, THREE, RECORDING!
The Lalalas sing, LALALA, LALALA.
[Clicking, music buzzing in headphones]
Jambo says, HOLD IT, HOLD IT! HOLD IT!
Jasmine says, HM?
Jambo says, IF YOU GET TOO CLOSE TO THE MIC, IT SOUNDS LIKE A WASHING MACHINE FULL OF HOBNAIL BOOTS. YOU HAVE TO SPREAD IT OUT A BIT.
[Everyone grumbling]
The band backs away from the microphone.
Jambo says, TAKE TWO. ONE, TWO, THREE, RECORDING.
[Clicking, music playing quietly in headphones]
Jambo says, HM? HM? HM!
Jambo transforms into a megaphone.
Jambo shouts, STOP!
Jambo transforms back into himself.
The band says, HM?
Jambo says, IF YOU STAND SO FAR AWAY, I CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING! COME AND STAND A BIT CLOSER.
[Sighing, gentle music plays]
Jambo says, TAKE THREE. ONE, TWO, THREE, RECORDING.
The Lalalas sing, LALALA LALALA. LALALALALA.
[Clicking, music buzzing in headphones, Jasmine giggling]
Jasmine stands next to the microphone, and the Lalalas stand furthest away.
Jambo says, THE GUITAR SOUNDS WAY TOO LOUD. MOVE AWAY FROM THE MICROPHONE.
[Jasmine laughing, grunting, drum booming]
Doobeedoo knocks Jasmine away from the microphone and plays his drums.
Jambo says, DOOBEEDOO, THE ONLY THING I CAN HEAR IS YOU.
[Music plays, banging, meowing, Jasmine grumbling]
Doobeedoo, Doodoowah, and the Lalalas push each other beneath the microphone. Jasmine pushes Doodoowah’s guitar with her foot.
Jambo says, STOP IT! WILL YOU STOP! YOU CAN'T START FIGHTING OVER THE MICROPHONE! THAT RACKET'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!
Jasmine says, YOU SEE? YOU HAVE TO BE QUIET AND STAND BEHIND ME.
[Band shouting]
Jasmine says, YOU ALWAYS WANT TO BE IN THE FRONT! WHAT ABOUT THE OTHERS?
[Meowing]
Jasmine says, THAT'S A LIE, IT WASN'T ME THAT SHOVED YOU, IT WAS DOODOOWAH!
[Jasmine grunting, cymbal clashing]
Jasmine pushes the guitar with her foot. A Lalala jumps on Doobeedoo’s head.
Jambo says, YOU CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING PROPERLY IF YOU'RE NOT FACING THE MICROPHONE. YOU HAVE TO THINK WHAT'S BEST FOR THE GROUP. WE'LL RECORD IT AGAIN.
Jasmine says, RECORD IT AGAIN? YOU CAN FORGET IT! HM!
[Grumbling]
Jambo says, TROMBONES, WE WANTED TO RECORD "THE GOOD MOOD SONG" AND NOW WE'RE ALL ANGRY WITH EACH OTHER.
[Fanfare plays]
Ta-Da jumps over everyone and lands in a puddle.
Jambo says, OH, HOLD IT RIGHT THERE.
[Rattling, rustling, gentle music plays]
Jambo spreads a measuring tape beneath the band.
Jambo says, THE DRUMS, WHICH ARE THE LOUDEST, GO AT THE BACK. THE BASS GOES A LITTLE CLOSER. THEN THE GUITAR, AND IN FRONT OF EVERYONE ELSE, THE VOICES. YOU'RE ALL AT THE PERFECT DISTANCE. MY FRIENDS, THIS TIME IT'S GOING TO BE GREAT, BUT DON'T FORGET, YOU MUSTN'T MOVE A SINGLE STEP FROM YOUR SPOT.
[Band arguing]
Jambo says, HUH?
[Band shouting]

A clapper board snaps shut. Jambo stands behind a microphone. Behind him, the band plays and the three Lalalas stand beside Doodoowah.
