[Cheerful music plays]

Black text on an orange background reads, “C.T.C. presents.” Lines of black and white dots extend from the text.

A path leads up a grassy hill to a town of brightly coloured houses. Cookie, an orange tabby, wears a blue striped shirt and a blue sailor hat with a picture of an anchor on it. Pudding, an orange tabby, wears a blue shirt and hat. Candy, an orange tabby, wears a red dress and bow.

[Upbeat music plays, birds chirp]

A narrator says, IN THIS LITTLE TOWN LIVES A KITTEN NAMED COOKIE, HIS BIG BROTHER PUDDING, AND THEIR LITTLE SISTER CANDY. LOTS OF OTHER KITTENS LIVE HERE TOO.

Kittens wave happily.

The narrator says, COOKIE, CANDY, AND PUDDING! KID-E-CATS!

Striped red text beneath Pudding, Candy and Cookie reads, “Kid-E-Cats.”

Cookie and Pudding say, WE'RE CUTE!

Candy says, BUT I'M CUTER!

All three say, ME-WOW!

Snow falls around the Kid-E-Cats yellow two-storey house. Snow covers the roof and ground around the house.

[Wind gusting]

Episode title: A Cake for Dart.

[Chiming]

The narrator says, ONE DAY, DART CAME TO VISIT THE KITTENS AND INVITE THEM TO HIS BIRTHDAY PARTY.

Dart stands in the foyer of the kittens’ house.

Dart says, IT STARTS TOMORROW AT THREE O'CLOCK. OH, HERE'S THE INVITATION I MADE. HOPE YOU ALL CAN COME!

Dart gives Pudding the invitation.

The kittens say, WHOA, NEAT, A PARTY!

Candy says, WE'LL DEFINITELY BE THERE.

Dart says, SEE YA!

[Door creaking, slamming, gentle music plays]

The kittens say, BYE BYE!

The kittens walk to the living room.

[Footsteps pattering]

Cookie asks, WHAT DOES IT SAY?

Pudding says, IT SAYS THERE WILL BE ALL KINDS OF REALLY FUN GAMES, KARAOKE, A MAGICIAN, AND EVEN ICE CREAM!

Cookie says, THEY FORGOT THE BIRTHDAY CAKE! READ IT AGAIN, PUDDING!

[Clock ticking, invitation rustling]

Pudding says, HUH, IT DOESN'T SAY CAKE ANYWHERE.

In a daydream, Dart’s cake disappears, and candles fall on a table.

[Slide whistle, deep inhalation, Dart sighing sadly]

Cookie says, IMPOSSIBLE, HOW CAN YOU HAVE A BIRTHDAY WITH NO CAKE?

In the daydream, Dart says, AWW.

The daydream ends.

[Slide whistle]

Candy says, MAYBE THEY FORGOT TO MAKE ONE. HEY, WHY DON'T WE BRING THE BIRTHDAY CAKE?

Pudding says, HEY, YEAH! LET'S ASK DAD TO TAKE US TO THE KID-E-CATS CAFE. THEN WE CAN PICK OUT A SUPER YUMMY CAKE FOR DART.

[Happy music plays]

The kittens say, SO AWESOME.

They hold hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW!

Later, Daddy Cat stops the car in front of the Kid-E-Cats café. He and the kittens enter the café.

[Door creaking, upbeat music plays]

Daddy Cat says, AFTERNOON, FELIX!

Felix says, HELLO!

Cookie and Candy say, HI, FELIX!

[Door slamming]

Pudding says, HI, MR. FELIX!

Daddy Cat says, THE KITTENS NEED YOUR YUMMIEST CAKE FOR THEIR FRIEND'S BIRTHDAY.

Felix asks, HMM, WHAT ABOUT A PECAN CAKE?

[Gentle music plays]

Cookie says, AWESOME, PECANS ARE YUMMY!

Candy says, I VOTE FOR STRAWBERRY CAKE, DART LOVES STRAWBERRIES, YOU KNOW.

Pudding says, NAH, CHOCOLATE'S BETTER.

Felix asks, HOW ABOUT A THREE-LAYER CHOCOLATE PECAN CAKE WITH FRESH STRAWBERRIES ON TOP. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Cupcake and her mommy enter the café.

[Door creaking]

Cupcake says, HELLO!

The kittens say, HI!

Felix says, HELLO THERE!

[Door slamming]

Cupcake says, WOW, THAT CAKE SURE LOOKS YUMMY.

Cookie says, IT'S FOR DART, HIS BIRTHDAY IS TOMORROW.

Cupcake says, OH, BUT HE CAN'T HAVE CAKE, BECAUSE HE'S VERY ALLERGIC TO FLOUR.

Cupcake’s mommy says, YES, DART IS NOT ALLOWED TO EAT BAKED GOODS. CAKES, COOKIES, OR ANYTHING.

The kittens say, THAT'S TERRIBLE!

Felix puts the cake behind the counter.

[Front door creaking, door slamming]

Candy says, I GUESS THAT'S WHY IT DIDN'T SAY CAKE ON THE INVITATION.

Pudding says, YOU'RE RIGHT, BUT NOW I CAN'T THINK OF WHAT TO GET HIM FOR HIS BIRTHDAY.

[Pudding crying]

Daddy Cat drives the car on a snowy road.

[Engine puttering, upbeat music plays]

Candy says, HEY, MAYBE WE CAN BUY HIM A TOY ROBOT, HE'S ALWAYS WANTED ONE!

In a daydream, Candy walks to Dart, hiding a robot behind her back.

[Slide whistle, upbeat music plays]

Pudding asks, BUT WHAT IF EVERYONE ELSE AT THE PARTY BRINGS HIM A ROBOT AS WELL?

In the daydream, Dart holds a robot, and his other friends hold out robots. The daydream ends. Daddy Cat stops the car in front of the kittens’ house, and they hop out.

[Slide whistle, popping, wind gusting, car door slamming]

Cookie says, I'VE GOT A GREAT IDEA. WHAT ABOUT A BADMINTON RACKET? I HAVE AN EXTRA ONE AND IT'S BRAND NEW!

In a daydream, Dart holds two badminton rackets.

[Slide whistles, upbeat music plays]

Candy says, BUT DART HAS WAY TOO MANY RACKETS ALREADY.

Rackets and a birdie fall on Dart. The daydream ends.

[Clattering, groaning, slide whistle]

In the dining room, Pudding says, AWW, I WISH WE COULD HAVE GOTTEN THAT CAKE FOR DART. TOO BAD HE'S NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE FLOUR.

[Clock ticking]

Daddy Cat says, HEY, KITTENS, WHAT IF WE MADE HIM A CAKE WITHOUT FLOUR? BUT MAYBE WE SHOULD FIND OUT JUST WHAT DART CAN AND CAN'T EAT FIRST. HE MIGHT BE ALLERGIC TO OTHER THINGS TOO.

[Cellphone beeping]

The narrator says, SO THEIR DAD CALLED DART'S MOM TO FIND OUT IF THEIR FRIEND WAS ALLERGIC TO ANYTHING ELSE.

On the cellphone, Daddy Cat says, AHHAH, THAT'S WONDERFUL! WE'LL MAKE THE BIRTHDAY BOY A SPECIAL TREAT HE'LL BE SURE TO REMEMBER.

[Chuckling, ticking]

On the cellphone, Daddy Cat says, BYE.

[Beeping]

Candy says, I KNOW JUST WHAT TO DO. WE'LL HELP DADDY MAKE THE CAKE FOR DART EXTRA SPECIAL IF WE WORK TOGETHER.

Later, the kittens and Daddy cat stand in the kitchen. Everyone wears a chef’s hat.

[Whooshing]

Daddy Cat says, WE'LL MAKE OUR FLOURLESS CAKE FROM GROUND NUTS AND WHIPPED EGG WHITES, SEE? AND THEN WE'LL FROST IT WITH FLUFFY CREAM AND DECORATE IT WITH FRESH BERRIES ON TOP. NOT A GRAIN OF FLOUR!

Daddy cat pours nuts into bowls in front of the kittens. Cookie eats one. The kittens grind the nuts.

[Kittens cheering, upbeat music plays, rattling, grunting, rustling]

Daddy cracks an egg into a strainer, separating the white from the yolk. He drops the egg whites into a pink pan and whips it with a hand mixer. The kittens give Daddy cat the ground nuts, and he pours them into the whipped egg whites.

[Cracking, squelching, whirring, upbeat music continues, nuts rustling]

Daddy Cat puts the pan in the oven. The cake browns, and Daddy Cat takes it out of the oven. The kittens each spread fluffy cream on a layer of the cake.

[Door clunking, timer dinging, squelching]

Daddy Cat spreads pink cream on the top of the cake and adds blueberries and strawberries.

[Kittens gasping]

Pudding asks, BUT WHAT IF DART DOESN'T LIKE OUR FLOURLESS CAKE? WHAT IF IT TASTES KINDA YUCKY?

Cookie asks, WHY DON'T WE TRY A BITE?

Candy says, BUT COOKIE, WE CAN'T GIVE OUR FRIEND A CAKE WITH A BITE TAKEN OUT. I THINK IT'S BEST TO WAIT AND SEE.

The narrator says, AND SO THE NEXT DAY CAME, AND THE KITTENS WERE OFF TO THE BIRTHDAY PARTY.

Cookie carries a present to Dart’s house. Balloons hang over his door. Dart opens the door.

[Squeaking, happy music plays]

The kittens say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, DART!

Cookie says, THIS IS FROM US, TAH-DAH!

Pudding takes the top off the present and reveals the cake.

Dart says, WOW, THAT SURE LOOKS TASTY! BUT I'M NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE CAKE.

[Wind gusting]

Candy says, YOU CAN HAVE THIS CAKE! THERE'S NO FLOUR IN IT.

Later, Dart blows out candles on top of the cake.

[Exhaling, applause, cheerful music plays]

The kittens watch anxiously as Dart tries the cake.

[Cutlery clinking, munching]

Dart says, MMM, IT'S SO GOOD!

[Happy music plays]

The kittens say, SO AWESOME.

They hold hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW!

Everyone eats the cake.

The narrator says, THE KITTENS WERE VERY PROUD OF THE DELICIOUS BIRTHDAY CAKE THEY MADE FOR THEIR PAL, AND IT WAS INDEED A CAKE THAT ALL OF THEIR FRIENDS WOULD REMEMBER.

[Upbeat music plays]
