Kittens wave happily.
The narrator says, COOKIE, CANDY, AND PUDDING! KID-E-CATS!
Striped red text beneath Pudding, Candy and Cookie reads, “Kid-E-Cats.”
Cookie and Pudding say, WE'RE CUTE!
Candy says, BUT I'M CUTER!
All three say, ME-WOW!
Snow covers the Kid-E-Cats yellow two-storey house and the ground around it.
Episode title: Bird Feeders.
[Chiming, gentle music plays]
Inside the house, the kittens watch the television. Mommy cat sits on the couch reading a book.
The narrator says, ONE DAY, THE KITTENS WERE LISTENING TO A WEATHER FORECAST.
On the television, an anchor says, FREEZING TEMPERATURES EXPECTED IN CATOPOLIS. EXPERTS ARE AFRAID THAT THE BIRDS WON'T HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT. THAT'S WHY WE'RE URGING YOU AT HOME TO FEED OUR FINE FEATHERED FRIENDS.
Candy hugs a bird stuffy.
[Gentle music plays]
Candy says, POOR LITTLE BIRDIES.
Cookie says, NOT IF WE GO OUTSIDE EVERY SINGLE DAY AND FEED THEM.
Pudding says, OR WE COULD MAKE A BIRD FEEDER. THEN THE BIRDS WILL KNOW WHERE TO GO TO GET SOMETHING TO EAT.
Mommy cat says, A LOVELY IDEA, PUDDING. AND I KNOW JUST HOW TO MAKE A BIRD FEEDER. YOUR GRANNY TAUGHT ME WHEN I WAS JUST A LITTLE KITTEN.
[Happy music plays]
The kittens say, SO AWESOME.
They hold hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW!
In the kitchen, Mommy cat picks up an orange.
Mommy cat says, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE OUR BIRD FEEDER OUT OF THIS ORANGE.
The kittens say, OUT OF AN ORANGE?!
Cookie says, BUT I THOUGHT THAT FEEDERS WERE MADE OUT OF WOOD.
Mommy cat says, THERE ARE ALL DIFFERENT KINDS OF FEEDERS, BUT THIS IS HOW I LEARNED IT, SO THIS IS HOW I'LL TEACH MY KITTENS. YOU TAKE HALF AN ORANGE, AND THEN YOU REMOVE THE FRUIT. HERE, HELP YOURSELF.
[Clattering, gentle music plays]
The kittens eat orange sections.
[Munching, happy music plays]
A daydream shows the steps as Mommy cat explains them. Two sticks poke through the orange, crossing in the middle. A string is tied to each end of both ropes. A box of bird seed pours into the orange, and birds perch on the side and eat. The daydream ends.
[Slide whistle, creaking, rustling, wings flapping, slide whistle]
Mommy cat says, AND YOU'RE LEFT WITH THE PEEL. THEN WE'LL USE SOME TWIGS TO MAKE A PERCH, ATTACH IT WITH SOME STRING, FILL IT UP WITH FOOD, AND... TADAH!
The kittens say, COOL, MOM!
The kittens and Mustard hang the feeder on a low tree branch.
[Wings flapping, birds singing]
The narrator says, THE KITTENS PLACED THEIR FEEDER AT A LOCAL PARK WHERE THERE ARE ALWAYS PLENTY OF BIRDS AROUND.
Cookie says, NOW WE CAN FEED THE BIRDS IN THE WHOLE CITY!
Birds land on the feeder. More birds land on nearby branches and look down at the feeder.
[Wings flapping, birds singing, wind blowing]
Mustard asks, DID YOU REALLY THINK ONE FEEDER WOULD BE ENOUGH?
Cookie says, THEN LET'S MAKE SOME MORE!
In a daydream, bird feeders hang off every branch on the tree. Birds land and feed. The daydream ends.
[Slide whistle, wings flapping, happy music plays, slide whistle]
Pudding says, BUT MUSTARD IS RIGHT, COOKIE. SO MANY BIRDS LIVE IN THE CITY, WE'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO MAKE ENOUGH BIRD FEEDERS.
In a daydream, a giant flock of birds circles above the city. The daydream ends.
[Slide whistle, flapping, birds calling, slide whistle]
Candy asks, WHAT IF WE MAKE A VIDEO TO ASK EVERYONE IN TOWN TO HELP US MAKE BIRD FEEDERS?
Cookie says, NICE! PUDDING, GET YOUR PHONE OUT.
Pudding films the kittens. Mustard frowns behind them.
Pudding asks, READY? HELLO, EVERYONE! WE ASK YOU TO PLEASE HELP US MAKE BIRD FEEDERS.
The kittens say, IT IS SO IMPORTANT!
[Cell phone beeping]
Pudding says, THERE, OFFICIALLY POSTED. NOW EVERYBODY WILL BE ABLE TO SEE IT.
[Wings flapping, gentle music plays]
Cookie says, AND THE CITY WILL BE FULL OF BIRD FEEDERS. AREN'T WE AWESOME?
Later, birds fly past the Kid-E-Cats house. Inside, Daddy cat sits at the dining room table, working on his tablet. Cookie paces in the living room while Candy and Pudding sit on the couch behind him. Candy plays with her bird stuffy, and Pudding stares at a clock.
[Wings flapping, clock ticking]
Cookie says, IT'S BEEN TWO HOURS. I BET OUR VIDEO HAS A MILLION VIEWERS. DADDY, CAN YOU PLEASE LOOK?
Daddy cat says, UH, ALL RIGHT, LITTLE ONE. LET'S SEE.
Cookie says, COME ON, HOW MANY ARE THERE?
Daddy cat says, UH, THREE.
Cookie says, THREE MILLION? YOWZA!
Candy says, HE MEANT THREE, COOKIE. OUR VIDEO ONLY HAS ONE, TWO, THREE VIEWS.
Pudding says, OH NO, THAT MEANS NOBODY WILL HELP US MAKE FEEDERS!
[Whimpering]
Candy says, I GUESS NO ONE NOTICED OUR VIDEO. MAYBE NOBODY LIKES BIRDS.
Cookie says, EVERYONE IN THIS CITY LOVES BIRDS! LET'S MAKE A NEW VIDEO, A BETTER ONE.
In a daydream, Cookie skis down a mountain. He skis off a ramp and spin in the air. Birds fly around him.
[Slide whistle, rustling, chiming]
Cookie says, I'LL DO SOME TRICKS ON MY SKIS AND SHOUT "SAVE THE BIRDS! MAKE BIRD FEEDERS!"
Pudding says, BUT YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO ANY COOL TRICKS ON YOUR SKIS.
Cookie says, AWW.
Cookie falls into the snow, and the daydream ends.
[Descending music, plopping, slide whistle]
Pudding says, WHAT CAN WE DO THAT WILL AMAZE ALL OUR VIEWERS?
Daddy cat says, OH, YOU CAN DO YOUR WAVE, AND THEN FLAP YOUR ARMS UP AND DOWN JUST LIKE YOUR BIRDS.
Cookie says, THREE KITTENS DOING A WAVE IS COOL? I'M NOT SURE THAT'S ENOUGH FOR THE VIDEO WE NEED TO MAKE.
Mommy cat says, WELL, DADDY AND I CAN JOIN YOU, CAN'T WE, DEAR?
Daddy cat says, OF COURSE, MY DEAR!
[Happy music plays]
Both join hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW! LET'S FLY!
[Both laughing; happy music continues]
Candy says, I KNOW WHAT WE'LL DO! WE CAN STILL DO THE WAVE, BUT LET'S DO IT WITH EVERYONE WE KNOW. IT WILL BE THE BIGGEST WAVE ANYONE'S EVER SEEN!
Pudding says, WE'LL BE A WHOLE FLOCK OF BIRDS!
[Pudding chuckling]
Daddy cat and Mommy cat look at each other. They both dial their cell phones. Pudding dials his cell phone.
[Beeping, phones ringing]
The narrator says, THE KITTENS AND THEIR PARENTS CALLED THEIR NEIGHBOURS, FRIENDS, AND EVERYONE THEY KNEW, AND THEY ALL AGREED TO TAKE PART IN THE KITTENS' VIDEO.
The kittens, their friends, and their neighbours meet in the park. They form a long row and hold hands.
[Wings flapping, happy music continues, birds singing]
Everyone shouts, MAKE SOME FEEDERS AND SAVE THE BIRDS!
They sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW! LET'S FLY!
Later, the kittens watch their television.
On the news, the anchor says, AND NOW, THE NEWS IN CATOPOLIS. A VIDEO MADE BY TOWNSPEOPLE TO SUPPORT THE BIRDS HAS SPAWNED A WHOLE MOVEMENT. FEEDERS HAVE APPEARED ALL OVER TOWN, AND NOW OUR FEATHERED FRIENDS HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
[Happy music plays]
The kittens say, SO AWESOME.
They hold hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW!
In the park, the kittens walk past people hanging bird feeders on branches.
The narrator says, THAT'S HOW THE KITTENS LEARNED THAT IF YOU GET A LITTLE CREATIVE AND ASK YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBOURS TO CONTRIBUTE, THEN YOU CAN PERFORM A TRULY GOOD DEED INDEED.
[Upbeat music plays]
