In the kittens’ room, Cookie controls a remote control car. Pudding picks up his dinosaur figures as the car passes. Candy puts a block on a house-shaped puzzle and backs up. She knocks over dinosaurs.
[Whirring, upbeat music plays, clattering]
Pudding says, HUH? CAREFUL, CANDY, YOU KNOCKED INTO MY DINOSAURS.
Candy says, OH, SORRY, PUDDING, BUT YOUR DINOSAURS ARE TAKING UP A LOT OF SPACE.
The car knocks over the block house.
[Blocks clattering]
Candy says, CAREFUL! YOUR CAR JUST RAN OVER MY HOUSE, COOKIE!
Cookie says, IT ISN'T MY FAULT, YOUR HOUSE WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET.
Pudding says, HOW CAN WE PLAY IN THE SAME ROOM IF WE KEEP GETTING IN EACH OTHER'S WAY?
He drops his dinosaurs.
[Whimpering, clattering]
Cookie says, WHY DON'T WE GO PLAY IN DIFFERENT ROOMS, THEN?
In a daydream, Cookie stands in front of the television and steers his car around the couch. Daddy Cat watches the television.

They divide the room into three sections. Candy has the largest section, and Cookie has a small sliver in the middle of the room.
[Tape rattling, upbeat music plays]
Cookie asks, WHY DO I HAVE THE SMALLEST AREA? THAT IS NOT FAIR!

[Grunting]
Later, Cookie walks along the tape.

Candy says, LET'S GET PLAYING AGAIN. I'M MAKING A PAINTING OF MY HOUSE!
Cookie says, EVERYONE STAY INSIDE YOUR BORDERS, ALL RIGHT?
Pudding plays soccer with two dinosaurs, Cookie plays with a pickup truck, and Candy paints.
[Tapping, truck clattering, paint squelching]
The narrator says, AT FIRST, THE KITTENS HAD NO PROBLEM PLAYING WITHOUT CROSSING EACH OTHER'S BORDERS, BUT THEN IT TURNED OUT THAT SOMETIMES YOU MIGHT NEED TO CROSS A BORDER AFTER ALL.
Candy runs out of blue paint. She sneaks across the border and picks up a jar of blue paint in Cookie’s area.
Cookie says, CANDY, YOU WENT ACROSS MY BORDER!
Candy says, BUT I NEEDED SOME MORE BLUE PAINT FOR MY SKY!
Cookie says, THEN I'LL TRADE YOU THE BLUE ONE FOR THE YELLOW THERE. MY PICKUP TRUCK NEEDS SOMETHING COOL TO CARRY.
They trade jars of paint and shake hands. Cookie puts the jar of paint in his pickup truck bed.
[Clunking]
Candy asks, AWW, BUT WHAT COLOUR AM I GOING TO PAINT THE SUN NOW?
Cookie drops a block. He picks it up and knocks his truck over the line. He tries to hook the back with a toy street sign and misses. The truck hits a cup of water onto Candy’s painting.

The kittens run to Daddy Cat.
[Footsteps pattering]
Candy says, DADDY, WE DREW BORDERS SO THAT WE WOULD STOP GETTING IN EACH OTHER'S WAY WHEN WE PLAY.
Pudding says, BUT I THINK THE BORDERS ARE GETTING IN OUR WAY EVEN MORE. WE'RE CONSTANTLY STEPPING OVER THEM.
[Daddy Cat chuckling]
Daddy Cat says, AND HERE I THOUGHT YOU WERE LAYING OUT SOCCER FIELD LINES.
Daddy cat kicks the small soccer ball. He moves around obstacles and kicks the ball into the toy bin.

Pudding says, YEAH, OR KNOCKING MY DINOSAURS OVER?
Daddy Cat says, HEH-HEH, IN GYM CLASS WHEN I WAS A KITTEN, WE LEARNED HOW TO MOVE A BALL WHILE CAREFULLY AVOIDING OBSTACLES.
Candy says, I HAVE A REALLY GOOD IDEA! LET'S LEARN TO BE JUST AS CAREFUL AND CONSIDERATE OF ONE ANOTHER, THEN WE WON'T NEED TO HAVE ANY BORDERS AT ALL.
[Daddy cat chuckling]
Daddy Cat says, SUPER IDEA THERE, CANDY.
Pudding says, AND IF WE HAPPEN TO NEED SOMETHING, WE'LL JUST ASK EACH OTHER POLITELY!
[Happy music plays]
