Kittens wave happily.
The narrator says, COOKIE, CANDY, AND PUDDING! KID-E-CATS!

Candy says, THEN WE COULD PLAY BADMINTON.
Pudding says, THEN LET'S ALL GO TO THE PLAYGROUND!

Cookie says, OKAY, BREAKFAST IS DONE. LET'S GET OUTSIDE.
Cookie opens the front door, and a leaf hits his face. Rain begins falling.
[Leaves rustling, wind gusting, rain pattering, upbeat music plays]
Cookie says, WHOA!
Candy says, OH NO, THE WEATHER TURNED AWFUL!
Cookie says, LET'S JUST WAIT A LITTLE WHILE.
Pudding looks at his smartphone.
Pudding says, OH, IT'S NOT GETTING BETTER ANYTIME SOON, THE WEATHER CAT SAID THERE ARE GLOOMY DAYS AHEAD.
Cookie imagines running outside with his kite.
[Slide whistle, wind gusting, happy music plays]
Cookie says, HEY, LET'S JUST GO OUT AND FLY OUR KITE ANYWAYS.
Candy says, I DON'T THINK THAT WILL WORK VERY WELL IN THIS WEATHER, COOKIE.
In the daydream, the wind lifts the kite and Cookie off the ground. He falls and runs to the house, holding his kite over his head.
[Shouting, slide whistle, rain pattering, panting]

In the kittens’ bedroom, Cookie paints yellow leaves green. Candy colours blue and yellow flowers. Pudding tapes a picture of the sun over a windowpane. Candy throws paper flowers on the floor, and paper butterflies drop from strings attached to the ceiling. Cookie puts the painted leaves on his bed, and Pudding and Candy put plants in the room.
[Paintbrush whooshing, crayon scratching, tape rustling, tapping, upbeat music plays]
Cookie says, LOOKS LIKE IT'S KITE-FLYING TIME!
Cookie runs with his kite, which falls to the floor.
[Kite rustling, upbeat music plays]
Cookie says, AWW.
Pudding asks, WHAT ABOUT THE WIND?
Cookie says, I'LL GO GET SOME.
Cookie puts down a fan and turns it on. The paper flowers and painted leaves blow around the room, and then Cookie turns the fan off.
[Clicking, whirring, paper rustling]
Pudding says, I GUESS A HOMEMADE SUMMER ISN'T GREAT FOR FLYING KITES.
Candy asks, WHY DON'T WE TRY BADMINTON? YOU DON'T NEED WIND FOR THAT.
The kittens set up their summer supplies in the living room. Pudding sits on the sofa sipping a drink and wearing sunglasses. Cookie and Candy play badminton.
[Footsteps running on stairs, slurping, tapping]
Cookie says, AH, IT'S JUST AS GOOD AS PLAYING OUTSIDE!
A badminton birdie soars over Candy’s head and lands in the kitchen.
Daddy cat says, OH!
[Chuckling]
Daddy cat says, DEAR KITTENS, DO YOU THINK THIS BIRDIE WILL MAKE MY CAKE TASTE MORE DELICIOUS?
The kittens set up their summer in their bedroom. Pudding sips his drink.
[Slurping]
Pudding says, IT'S SO GREAT HERE, LYING ON THE BEACH, CHILLING AND SOAKING UP THE RAYS.
[Thunder booming, rain pattering]
Cookie says, ENOUGH LYING AROUND. I'M GOING FOR A DIP.
Cookie pushes a toy boat in a small basin of water.
[Splashing]
Pudding says, BE CAREFUL, COOKIE, DON'T GO TOO FAR OUT.
Cookie says, THIS SEA IS ONLY ANKLE DEEP!
Cookie jumps into the basin.
[Laughing, splashing]
Cookie says, OOPS, I MADE A LITTLE FLOOD.
[Mommy cat laughing]
Mommy cat says, WELL, THESE MUST BE THE KITTENS I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM IN SUCH A LONG TIME. IT TURNS OUT THEY'VE BEEN ON A NICE TRIP TO THE BEACH.
Candy says, WE WERE TRYING TO MAKE OUR OWN SUMMER INSIDE.
Cookie says, BECAUSE WE REALLY DON'T LIKE THE FALL AT ALL.
Pudding says, BUT NONE OF IT'S WORKING VERY WELL.
Mommy cat says, HMM, SO YOU DON'T LIKE THE FALL. HMM, LET'S GET ALL THIS CLEANED UP AND GO OUTSIDE FOR A NICE WALK. I WANT TO SHOW YOU ALL SOMETHING.
[Thunder booming]
Pudding says, BUT IT'S RAINING OUT THERE!
Mommy cat says, NOT ANYMORE, BUT WE'LL WEAR OUR RAIN GEAR JUST IN CASE SO WE DON'T GET WET.
The narrator says, THE KITTENS CLEANED UP THE MESS THEY MADE AT HOME AND WET FOR AN AUTUMN WALK IN THE PARK.
In the park, the kittens and Mommy cat walk on a path. Leaves fall from the trees.
[Soothing music plays]
Candy says, OH, LOOK AT TREES! HOW PRETTY THEY ARE!
Pudding says, OOH, IT'S JUST LIKE SOMEONE PAINTED ALL THE LEAVES WITH DIFFERENT COLOURS!
Pudding imagines a painter standing on a ladder and painting leaves yellow. Another painter paints leaves on a nearby tree orange.
[Slide whistles, popping]

In reality, Cookie says, I FOUND A MUSHROOM!

[Leaves rustling, bird chirping, happy music plays]
Candy says, MOMMY, THANK YOU FOR SHOWING US HOW WONDERFUL AND AMAZING THE FALL CAN BE.
Mommy cat says, OH, THANK YOU, KITTENS!
Mommy cat puts the leaves and berries on her head.
[Leaves rustling]
Grey clouds cover the sun, and rain falls.
[Thunder rumbling, rain pattering, wind gusting]
Mommy cat says, OH, IT'S STARTING TO RAIN AGAIN. WE'D BETTER BE HEADING HOME.
Cookie asks, CAN WE STAY OUTSIDE?
Candy says, HEY, YEAH!
Pudding says, WE ALL CAN PUT OUR HOODS UP.
Mommy cat says, OH, WELL, OKAY, BUT LET'S TAKE SHELTER FOR A LITTLE WHILE UNDER OUR FRIEND, THE TREE HERE! I DON'T THINK IT WILL RAIN FOR LONG.
[Happy music plays]
The kittens say, SO AWESOME.
They hold hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW!
The kittens run in circles around a tree.
