[Cheerful music plays]

Black text on an orange background reads, “C.T.C. presents.” Lines of black and white dots extend from the text.

A path leads up a grassy hill to a town of brightly coloured houses. Cookie, an orange tabby, wears a blue striped shirt and a blue sailor hat with a picture of an anchor on it. Pudding, an orange tabby, wears a blue shirt and hat. Candy, an orange tabby, wears a red dress and bow.

[Upbeat music plays, birds chirp]

A narrator says, IN THIS LITTLE TOWN LIVES A KITTEN NAMED COOKIE, HIS BIG BROTHER PUDDING, AND THEIR LITTLE SISTER CANDY. LOTS OF OTHER KITTENS LIVE HERE TOO.

Kittens wave happily.

The narrator says, COOKIE, CANDY, AND PUDDING! KID-E-CATS!

Striped red text beneath Pudding, Candy and Cookie reads, “Kid-E-Cats.”

Cookie and Pudding say, WE'RE CUTE!

Candy says, BUT I'M CUTER!

All three say, ME-WOW!

Episode title: Cool Sandwiches.

[Chiming]

At the playground, Cookie slides down the slide. Candy plays in the sandbox, Pudding sits on a seesaw, Mustard sits on a bench, and Chase juggles balls.

[Scraping, relaxing music plays]

The narrator says, ONE DAY AT THE PLAYGROUND, THE KITTENS DISCOVERED THAT THEIR FRIENDS HAVE LEARNED TO DO ALL KINDS OF COOL THINGS.

[Balls thumping]

Chase says, LOOK AT ME. I LEARNED HOW TO JUGGLE, SEE?

The kittens say, THAT'S GREAT!

Mustard holds a picture of yellow flowers.

She says, MY BIG SISTER TAUGHT ME HOW TO DO APPLIQUÉ. ISN'T IT BEAUTIFUL?

Everyone says, WHOA, COOL.

[Birds chirping]

Pudding says, I WONDER IF WE COULD LEARN HOW TO DO COOL STUFF LIKE THAT.

Cookie says, SURE, PUDDING. LET'S GO HOME NOW AND START LEARNING THINGS.

[Happy music plays]

The kittens say, SO AWESOME.

They hold hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW!

In the kittens’ bedroom, Candy asks, WHAT WILL YOU LEARN TO DO, COOKIE?

Cookie says, WELL, I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO DRIVE A CAR JUST LIKE DADDY.

Cookie imagines driving a red car.

[Slide whistle, engine humming]

Candy says, BUT YOU'RE NOT OLD ENOUGH FOR THAT, COOKIE. ONLY GROWN-UPS CAN DRIVE CARS.

In Cookie’s daydream, his car stops, and the side falls off.

[Thumping, sighing, slide whistle]

Pudding says, I THINK I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO, UH...TO FLY.

Pudding imagines dressing as a superhero and flying into outer space. A comet and a flying saucer pass him.

[Slide whistle, majestic trumpet solo plays, flying saucer whirring]

Cookie says, BUT YOU'RE NOT OLD ENOUGH FOR THAT.

[Music stops]

Pudding falls.

Pudding says, UH-UH.

He lands on a trampoline and bounces.

[Grunting, boinging, whooshing]

Candy imagines chiselling an ice sculpture of Cookie posing with his foot on a soccer ball.

[Chiming]

Candy says, I'D LIKE TO LEARN TO CARVE A BEAUTIFUL ICE SCULPTURE.

The ice shatters, and Cookie appears.

[Shattering]

Cookie says, THAT WON'T WORK, CANDY. IT'S THE MIDDLE OF THE SUMMER.

The ice melts. Cookie kicks the soccer ball and smiles. The daydream ends.

[Splashing, serious music notes play, ball thumping, slide whistle]

Pudding says, OH, BOY. IT LOOKS LIKE WE AREN'T GONNA LEARN COOL NEW STUFF.

[Crying]

Mommy cat opens the door.

[Door squeaking]

Mommy cat says, KITTENS, IT'S TIME TO COME DOWNSTAIRS AND HAVE YOUR LUNCH.

At the dining room table, each kitten has a slice of bread on a plate. Mommy cat slides ingredients on cutting boards in front of them.

[Scraping, upbeat music plays]

Mommy cat says, NOW, WOULD YOU LIKE A NICE SANDWICH?

Pudding says, I'D LIKE CHEESE, PLEASE. AND SOME CUCUMBER.

[Phone ringing, buzzing]

Mommy cat says, OH, IT'S WORK CALLING. I'LL JUST BE A MOMENT, KITTENS.

Mommy cat says, HELLO?

[Beeping, Mommy cat laughing]

Mommy cat walks away from the table.

[Footsteps thumping]

Mommy cat says, UH-HUH, SO YOU GOT THE SKETCHES, THEN? SURE, I'LL TALK YOU THROUGH IT.

Pudding says, I SURE HOPE MOMMY'S WORK CALL DOESN'T TAKE TOO LONG. I'M SO HUNGRY.

Cookie says, LET'S MAKE OUR OWN SANDWICHES. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Pudding says, BUT WE DON'T KNOW HOW. WHAT IF WE RUIN THEM OR SOMETHING?

Candy says, I THINK THAT'S A GREAT IDEA, COOKIE. PLUS, WE'LL NEVER KNOW UNTIL WE TRY, RIGHT? NOW...

Candy creates a face on her bread with two grapes, half a tomato, two broccoli florets, and a ketchup smile.

[Rustling, squirting, happy musical notes play]

Candy says, I MADE A SANDWICH CLOWN.

[Cookie laughing]

Cookie holds up his sandwich.

Cookie says, I MADE A SANDWICH BOAT WITH A SWISS CHEESE SAIL.

Pudding says, LOOK, YOU GUYS. A SANDWICH SKYSCRAPER.

Pudding has a tall sandwich on his plate. Mommy cat returns to the room.

[Music ends, footsteps thumping]

Mommy cat says, MY GOODNESS, LOOK HOW CLEVER THOSE SANDWICHES ARE. DID DADDY MAKE THEM FOR YOU?

Candy says, NO, WE MADE THEM, MOMMY.

Mommy cat says, YOU DID? WELL, THEY CERTAINLY ARE THE...WHAT'S THE WORD NOW? UH, COOLEST.

[Laughing]

Cookie says, THAT'S IT. SO WE REALLY CAN DO COOL THINGS AFTER ALL.

Pudding says, COOL SANDWICHES! ALL RIGHT!

[Mommy cat chuckling]

Mommy cat says, HOW ABOUT SHOWING ME SOME MORE OF YOUR COOL SANDWICH IDEAS, KITTENS.

The kittens say, OKAY!

Mommy cat and Candy cut their bread with cookie cutters. Mommy cat and the kittens create sandwiches that look like toadstools, a car, a fish with a crown, a butterfly, a ladybug, a smiling cat, a spaceship, a crab, an owl, and a flower. They make one large submarine sandwich. Daddy cat walks into the dining room, looking at his tablet. He notices the sandwiches on the table.

[Happy music plays, popping, device beeping]

Daddy cat says, WHOA!

[Chuckling]

Daddy cat says, LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE A FEAST OF SANDWICHES HERE, KITTENS.

[Daddy cat and Mommy cat laughing, plate clattering]

Mommy cat says, SO, WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRY A COOL SANDWICH, SWEETIE?

The narrator says, THE KITTENS AND THEIR PARENTS ATE LOTS OF COOL SANDWICHES THAT DAY. BUT WHEN THEY WERE DONE, THERE WERE LOTS OF THEM LEFT.

Everyone eats sandwiches.

[Upbeat music plays]

Cookie asks, DADDY, DON'T YOU WANT ANOTHER ONE?

Daddy cat says, WELL, I'D LOVE TO, COOKIE, BUT I'M A LITTLE FULL ALREADY.

Pudding says, BUT WE HAVE ALL THESE SANDWICHES LEFTOVER. WHAT SHOULD WE DO WITH THEM?

[Clock ticking, chiming]

Candy says, I HAVE A GREAT IDEA, PUDDING. WHY DON'T WE SHARE COOL SANDWICHES WITH OUR FRIENDS, OKAY?

[Happy music plays]

The kittens say, SO AWESOME.

They hold hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW!

[Pudding hiccupping]

Pudding says, OH!

[Kittens laughing]

At the playground, the kittens set a table with a tablecloth, a reusable water bottle, small cups, and a stack of sandwiches.

[Birds chirping]

Chase, Boris, and Mustard approach the table.

Chase asks, HEY, LOOK, WHO MADE ALL THESE AWESOME, COOL SANDWICHES?

Cookie says, WE DID.

Their friends say, NO WAY!

Mustard asks, MAY I HAVE THE ONE WITH THE CAT'S FACE, PUDDING?

Pudding says, SURE, MUSTARD. I THINK YOU'LL REALLY LIKE THIS ONE.

Mustard says, LOOKS YUMMY.

Everyone eats sandwiches.

[Lively music plays]

The narrator says, AND SO, THE KITTENS DISCOVERED THAT NOT ONLY WAS IT FUN TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE COOL THINGS, BUT IT WAS EVEN MORE FUN TO SHARE THOSE COOL THINGS WITH THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE.
