Inside the spaceship, a silver robot with two eyes and a blue circle nose lies in pieces.
The people shout, Bot!
The robot wakes up and puts itself together. The robot stands on three wheels.
The people shout, BEASTY OBSERVATION TRANSMITTER!
The people read the title, BOT AND THE BEASTIES!
[Energetic music plays]
[Horn honking]
Multiple Beasties knock over the title Bot and the Beasties.
The people shout, BEASTIES COME!
AND BEASTIES GO!
BEASTIES, BEASTIES!
BEASTIES, BEASTIES!
OH NO!
A blue Beasty and an orange Beasty, both with long noses and springs as legs, run on two feet.
A narrator asks, WHAT IS THIS
BEASTY?
The long-nosed Beasties run away.
[Boing]
The narrator says, BOT, THIS IS YOUR MISSION!
Bot’s nose turns red.
[Bot whirring]
The narrator says, DETECT BEASTY.
COLLECT SOUND DATA.
Bot’s nose turns yellow, then orange.
The narrator says, COLLECT PICTURE DATA.
Bot’s nose turns green. An opening appears in the floor, and Bot hovers over it.
The narrator says, GO!
Bot‘s nose turns blue. Bot drops through the opening.
[Gentle music plays]
Colourful light glows from craters covering a planet with a star-filled night sky.
The narrator says SPACEY GLOWY WORLD.
[Whirring]
Bot drops through an opening in the night sky of Spacey, Glowy World, among different coloured asteroids. Bot lands on a green asteroid.
[Clanging]
[Beeping]
Bot pops up onto three wheels.
[Whirring]
[Boing]
[Bot beeping]
Bot’s nose turns red.
The narrator whispers, BEASTY DETECTED!
Bot spots the blue, long-nosed Beasty bouncing on a pink asteroid nearby.
[Boing]
The orange, long-nosed Beasty joins the blue Beasty. The Beasties share a look and glance up at a small, blue asteroid. The blue asteroid shakes.
[Rattling]
A small, hourglass-shaped Beasty pops out of the blue asteroid.
[Beasty chittering]
The hourglass-shaped Beasty’s head turns red.
The narrator says, READY…
The hourglass-shaped Beasty’s head turns yellow.
The narrator says, STEADY…
The hourglass-shaped Beasty’s head turns green.
The narrator says, GO!
The long-nosed Beasties leap off their asteroid and onto Bot’s. Bot jumps onto the blue Beasty’s nose as the blue and orange Beasty race through the sky.
The narrator says, RACING.
[Boing]
Bot rides the orange Beasty across green, pink, purple and blue asteroids. Bot falls head-first onto a light-pink asteroid. The orange Beasty continues racing after the blue Beasty.
The narrator says, OH, NO!
Bot stands upright on another asteroid and watches the Beasties race around a cluster of asteroids.
[Boing]
The narrator says, RACING.
[Bot whirring]
Bot leaps onto a purple asteroid and bounces around the cluster of asteroids like a pinball.
[Clanging]
The narrator says, OH, DEAR.
[Bot whirring]
Bot rolls off an asteroid and falls through the sky.
[Bot beeping]
Elsewhere in the sky, the blue Beasty races after the orange Beasty.
[Boing]
Bot stumbles after the racing Beasties.
[Bot whirring]
On the ground, the Beasties fall into a large crater.
The narrator says, UH-OH.
Bot lands on three wheels beside the crater and looks around.
[Bot whirring]
Bot peaks inside the crater and rolls over to a different crater. The Beasties leap out and dive into a third crater.
[Bot whirring]
Bot watches the Beasties race through a row of craters. Bot follows the Beasties.
[Bot squeaking]
The narrator says, RACING.
Bot races ahead of the Beasties.
[Boing]
[Wheels squeaking]
The orange Beasty leaps over the blue Beasty. Bot slows down and aims its sound data collection speaker at the Beasties.
[Speaker feedback]
[Boing]
Bot plays back a recording.
[Speaker beeping]
[Boing]
[Bot beeping]
Bot’s nose turns yellow and then orange.
The narrator says, SOUND DATA COLLECTED!
[Bot whirring]
Bot rolls up the side of a tall crater.
[Wheels squeaking]
The narrator says, OH, NO!
Bot falls into the crater. The Beasties race up the crater and fall behind Bot. Deep inside the crater, Bot tumbles down a tunnel.
[Clanging]
The Beasties stumble through the tunnel behind Bot
[Boing]
Bot tumbles out of a crater and grabs the rim with its wheels.
[Bot whirring]
Tangled together in a ball, the Beasties stumble out of the crater and knock Bot off the rim.
[Bot whirring]
Bot bounces across the ground. The Beasties follow and bounce like a ball.
[Boing]
Bot bounces toward a finish line made of glowing rocks. The hourglass-shaped Beasty waits in a crater at the finish line, showing a checkerboard on their head.
[Hourglass-shaped Beasty cheering]
Bot crosses the finish line.
The narrator says, THE WINNER!
Bot bounces away from the finish line.
[Bot whirring]
[Hourglass-shaped Beasty cheering]
At the finish line, the blue Beasty and the orange Beasty separate. The blue Beasty crosses the finish line, and then the orange Beasty.
[Hourglass-shaped Beasty cheering]
Away from the finish line, Bot bounces into a crater.
[Bot whirring]
The orange Beasty and blue Beasty follow Bot into the crater. Bot and the Beasties pop out of three different-sized craters close by. Bot stands in the tallest crater, the blue Beasty stands in the medium-height crater, and the orange Beasty stands in the shortest crater.
[Bot whirring]
[Hourglass-shaped Beasty chittering]
Bot and the other Beasties turn to the hourglass-shaped Beasty, who claps.
[Hourglass-shaped Beasty chittering]
The blue Beasty and the orange Beasty bounce in place.
[Bot whirring]
Bot takes pictures of the blue and orange Beasties with its picture data collection camera.
[Camera clicking]
Bot takes a selfie with the orange and blue Beasties.
[Camera clicking]
[Bot whirring]
[Bot beeping]
Bot’s nose turns green. The blue and orange Beasties run away.
[Boing]
The narrator says, PICTURE DATA COLLECTED!
[Whirring]
An opening appears in the pastel sky. Bot flies out of the crater.

The hourglass-shaped Beasty stands in a crater and turns its head red. The blue Beasty and orange Beasty stop at the crater.
The narrator says, SPACEY RACER.
The blue and orange Beasties, the Spacy Racers, lie down and fall asleep.

Bot flies through the opening in the sky.
