OVER THE REEF,
THERE'S A SUNNY LITTLE PLACE
CALLED KANGAROO BEACH.
Frizzy, Gemma, Neville and Pounce leap off their beds. Frizzy is a young blue koala, Gemma is a pink platypus, Neville is a hairy-nosed albino wombat with a pink nose, and Pounce is a young yellow and orange kangaroo. They ride down a slide.
[Boing, slide whistles]
The voices sing, FRIZZY, GEMMA,
NEVILLE AND POUNCE,
CADETS IN THE CLUB
SO COME ON LET'S BOUNCE .
GOOD FRIENDS SURFING
SWIMMING, LEARNING.
[Screaming, whistle blows, splash]
Bondi, an orange kangaroo lifeguard, drives a boat. Sandy, a pink kangaroo lifeguard, stands beside him. Big Trev, a yellow wombat, pilots a small submarine.
The voices sing, BONDI, SANDY, BIG TREV, TOO,
TRAINING WITH THE VERY BEST
LIFEGUARD CREW.
STAYING SAFE, BEING BRAVE,
RIDE A WAVE, MAKE A SAVE.
WE'RE HERE ALL SUMMER,
IT JUST GETS FUN-ER.
LET'S HOP DOWN TO
KANGAROO BEACH.
[Water splashes]

Gherkinn, a brown otter, stands in front of a large pump. He blows into a large deflated object lying on the beach.
Neville asks, WHAT IS THAT?
[Gherkinn pants]
Gherkinn says, IT'S A BIG SPLASHY
SLIPPERY DIPPERY.
Frizzy exclaims, A WATERSLIDE?!
OUT OF MY WAY, COMING THROUGH.
Gherkinn WHOA, WHOA, WHOA THERE,
WHIZZY FRIZZY ROCKET.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING WITH YOUR
EYES, YOU WILL IT IS NOT BEING
FINISHED YET.
I NEED ANOTHER WEEK TO BLOW IT
UP AND I ONLY HAVE ONE MOUTH.
[Birds caw]
Gemma suggests, OR YOU COULD
USE THAT ELECTRIC PUMP.
Gherkinn says, OH.
Gherkinn falls exhausted on the sand. Bondi and Sandy arrive.
[Sighs]
Sandi says, WHOA, LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE
DEFLATED GHERKINN.
[Rustling, waves splash]
Gemma says, BONDI, SANDI, CAN WE
STAY AT THE LAGOON AND GO ON
THE WATERSLIDE TODAY?
All the cadets say, OH, YES, PLEASE!
Frizzy says, PRETTY, PRETTY PLEASE WITH
SEAWEED SPRINKLES ON TOP?
Pounce asks, CAN WE?
Frizzy asks, PLEASE?
Bondi says, I DON'T SEE WHY NOT.
Sandy says, HANG ON, THAT WATER'S
DEEP OUT THERE.
FIRST WE NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU
CAN ALL FLOAT.
The cadets say, SURE! SURE THING!
WOO-HOO!
Gemma, Pounce, Frizzy and Neville, run into the water and float on their backs.
[Splashing]
Frizzy says, OF COURSE WE CAN FLOAT.
[Upbeat music plays]
Pounce says, OH, YES, I CAN DO THIS.
Gemma says, ABSOLUTELY.
Sandy says, WELL DONE, CADETS.
IF YOU STAY AT THE LAGOON TODAY,
I NEED YOU TO MAKE SURE ANYONE
WHO USES THE WATERSLIDE KNOWS
HOW TO FLOAT TOO, AM I RIGHT,
BONDI? B-BONDI?
[Bondi chuckles, splashing]
Bondi floats on his back by the cadets.
Bondi says, THAT'S RIGHT, SANDI.
EVERYONE SHOULD LEARN HOW TO
FLOAT, EVEN BEFORE YOU LEARN
HOW TO SWIM.
THAT WAY, IF YOU GET INTO
TROUBLE, YOU CAN ALWAYS FLOAT
UNTIL HELP ARRIVES.
Sandy asks, YOU COMING, BONDI?
Bondi says, I THINK I SHOULD STAY BEHIND
AND SUPERVISE THE WATERSLIDE
FOR, UM, SAFETY REASONS, OF COURSE.
Sandy says, OF COURSE.
Later, Gemma and Bondi stand by the pump. The green crocodile-shaped waterslide is inflated. The red tongue of the crocodile extends down into the water. Frizzy, Pounce and Neville stand by the edge of the water. Children run across the beach towards them.
[Upbeat music plays]
Children cheer, YAY! YIPPEE!
Pounce speaks through a megaphone,
ATTENTION, EVERYONE, YOU MUST
PASS A FLOATING TEST IF YOU WANT
TO RIDE THE WATER SLIDE LATER TODAY.
[Children groan]
Pounce speaks through the megaphone,
ROLL UP, ROLL UP TO EARN YOUR
VERY OWN WATERSLIDE PASS.
Dougall, a young wombat; Wei, a panda cub wearing a green hat; Philippa, a small penguin; and a small grey, black and yellow child with long black ears stand in a row.
Wei says, ME, ME, ME!
ME, I WANT TO LEARN!
Philippa says, ME, ME!
PICK ME, FIRST.
[Giggling]
Pounce and Philippa stand by the water.
[Upbeat music plays]
Pounce says, OKAY, PHILIPPA,
START FLOATING.
Philippa says, FLOATY.
Philippa throws a yellow water wing into the water.
[Splash]
Pounce says, NO, YOU NEED TO FLOAT.
Philippa says, TWO FLOATIES.
Philippa throws a second yellow water wing into the water.
[Whoosh, splash]
Philippa says, FLOATIES!
Pounce says, NO, YOU FLOATY.
NOT SWIMMING, FLOATING.
HERE, I'LL SHOW YOU.
Philippa says, POUNCE FLOATY.
Philippa stands on Pounce’s tummy. Dougall floats past them on his back.
[Philippa giggles]
Neville says, GREAT WORK, DOUGALL.
Frizzy holds the megaphone and watches Wei wade into the water.
Frizzy says, through the megaphone, WAY TO GO, WEI!
YOU CAN DO THIS!
[Splashing, coughing, birds cry, upbeat music plays]
Wei says, I DON'T KNOW HOW.
Frizzy says, SURE YOU CAN, IT'S SIMPLE.
TUMMY UP, POSE LIKE A STARFISH,
EARS IN THE WATER, LIFT YOUR
CHIN, PALMS UP, CHEST UP, ARCH
YOUR BACK, DON'T PULL YOUR LEGS,
MASSAGE THE WATER, FEEL THE
WATER, AND RELAX.
Wei lies on her back and sinks into the water.
[Bubbling, coughing]
Frizzy says, MAYBE MORE INSTRUCTIONS
WOULD HELP?
[Whoosh]
Pounce says, THAT'S RIGHT, PHILIPPA,
FLOAT LIKE A FLOATY.
Philippa says, FLOATY!
Pounce says, WELL DONE, YOU CAN FLOAT!
NOW COME GET YOUR PASS.
Philippa repeats, PASS!
Gemma pushes a button on the pump.
Gemma says, THERE WE GO, ALL DONE.
[Birds call]
Gherkinn says, OH, GOODNESS, SLIPPERY DIPPY!
HERE I--
Gemma says, WHOA!
WHERE'S YOUR WATERSLIDE PASS?
Gherkinn says, HAH, I'M NOT NEEDING A PASS
FOR MY OWN WATERSLIDE, NO WAY!
Gemma narrows her eyes. Soon, Gherkinn floats on his back on the water.
[Upbeat music plays]
Gemma says, TEN MORE SECONDS, KEEP GOING.
On the beach, Pounce says, GREAT WORK,
PHILIPPA AND DOUGALL.
YOU'VE EARNED A PASS
TO USE THE WATERSLIDE.
Philippa cheers, SHELLY!
Dougall says, OH, THANK YOU.
[Footsteps crunching in sand, sad music]
Frizzy says, SORRY, WEI, BUT YOU CAN'T
GO ON THE WATERSLIDE IF YOU
CAN'T FLOAT.
[Wei sniffles]
Gherkinn says, HEY, EVERYBODY, I GOT MY
PASS, SO THE SPLISHY SLIPPERY
DIPPERY IS OFFICIALLY OPEN FOR BUSINESS!
[Cheering, upbeat music plays]
Pounce cheers, WATERSLIDE, YEAH!
[Cheering, water splashes]
At the top of the waterslide, Bondi says, JUST A HOT MINUTE.
I'LL NEED TO TEST THIS THING OUT
FIRST. FOR IMPORTANT SAFETY REASONS.
WAHOO!
Bondi slides down the waterslide.
[Splash, birds call]
Frizzy asks, WELL, BONDI, IS IT SAFE?
Bondi says, OH, YEAH, TOTALLY SAFE, BUT,
UM, I THINK I'D BETTER TRY IT
OUT A FEW MORE TIMES JUST IN CASE.
[Cheering, water splashes]
The children slide down the waterslide.
Neville cheers, LET'S GO DOWN THE
SLIPPERY DIP!
Gemma cheers, YES, WOO-HOO!
[Gherkinn shouts, children cheer]
On the beach, Wei watches the others playing on the waterslide. Wei walks to a rock and sits down.
[Soft crying]
[Upbeat music plays]
Frizzy says, SO COOL!
Neville says, FRIZZY, LOOK. POOR WEI.
MAYBE WE COULD TRY AND GIVE HER
A BIT MORE HELP.
Neville and Frizzy run past Reef, a purple and yellow seal, and Roadie, a small orange animal with a pointed snout and a blue nose.
[Upbeat music plays]
Reef says, RIDING AND SLIDING TIME, ROADIE.
Gemma says, WHOA, THERE.
DO YOU HAVE A WATERSLIDE PASS?
Roadie asks, NO, WHAT'S THAT?
Pounce says, YOU NEED TO PROVE YOU
CAN FLOAT TO GO ON THE WATERSLIDE.
Reef says, YEAH, COURSE WE CAN FLOAT.
Gemma says, THEN PROVE IT.
Roadie says, WE'RE NOT TAKING A FLOATING
TEST, THAT'S FOR BABIES.
Gemma says, NO FLOATY, NO FUNSY.
[Groaning]
Roadie whispers, IF WE CAN'T GO TO THE
WATERSLIDE, THEN THE WATERSLIDE
CAN COME TO US.
Reef says, YEAH, COME TO US.
[Chuckling, water splashes]
Neville looks down at Wei in shallow water.
Neville says, IT CAN HELP IF YOU PUSH YOUR
TUMMY UP AND TAKE A BIG BREATH.
[Inhale, exhale]
Frizzy floats beside Wei.
Frizzy sings, AIR IN MY TUMMY,
TUMMY IN THE AIR. LEGS ALL LOOSE
AND ARMS OUT THERE.
[Wei laughs]
Neville says, THERE YOU GO, WEI,
YOU'RE DOING IT!
[Wei gasps]
Wei says, I'M DOING IT!
[Splash]
Frizzy says, CONGRATULATIONS, WEI,
YOU'VE EARNED YOUR PASS.
Soon, Neville, Wei and Frizzy run across the beach.
[Cheering, laughing]
Wei says, YEAH, HERE WE COME!
Neville says, WATERSLIDE, YAY!
Frizzy slides down the waterslide.
Frizzy says, HERE COMES THE FRIZZY DIZZY!
[Shouting, upbeat music plays, splashing]
Wei stands at the top of the waterslide and watches Neville slide down.
Neville says, PREPARE FOR TOTAL
NEVILLATION. WHOA!
[Laughing]
Reef and Roadie stand beside the waterslide. Roadie unties the slide from a peg in the sand.
[Reef and Roadie chuckle]
Roadie says, THAT'S IT, NOW PULL
IT ONTO THE SAND.
WE DON'T NEED A PASS IF IT'S A
LAND SLIDE.
[Wind blows]
The wind blows the waterslide to the side. Roadie holds on to the rope.
[Shouting]
[Neville and Frizzy gasp, shouting]
The waterslide floats out onto the water with Wei standing at the top of the slide.
[Wind blows]
Roadie shouts, WHOA!
Roadie lands on the stairs at the back of the waterslide. He runs up and crouches beside Wei.
Wei says, OH, WE'RE BLOWING AWAY!
WHERE ARE WE GOING?
[Shouting, screaming, upbeat music continues]
The waterslide floats towards Gherkin, who is relaxing on a pizza slice-shaped floatie.
Gherkinn shouts, I BREATHE LIFE INTO YOU AND
NOW YOU ARE WANTING TO EAT ME?
[Screaming, splash]
Wei says, OH, NO!
[Shouting]
On the beach, Pounce shouts, WEI, ROADIE, LET GO!
Roadie shouts, IT'S MOVING TOO FAST!
Standing on a tree tower lookout, Big Trev sips coffee from a mug.
[Spitting]
Big Trev exclaims, GREAT GUM NUTS! HM?
The waterslide blows around a bay.
[Wind blows]
Big Trev says, WELL, THIS IS A FIRST.
AN EMERGENCY!
The cadets, Bondi and Sandy prepare their rescue equipment.
[Alarm blares, whirring, exciting music plays, clicking, beeping, helicopter blades whirr, engine hums, whooshing]
Bondi and Sandy ride in a motorboat.
[Exciting music plays]
Bondi says, IT'S HEADED FOR THE BEACH.
The waterslide bounces onto the beach and up sand dunes.
[Roadie grunts]
Roadie says, OH, NO.
[Whimpering]
Roadie says, OW!
In the boat, Sandy says, WE'LL HAVE TO GO BACK AROUND.
Wei and Roadie say, OH, NO!
Roadie chants, NO, NO, NO!
[Screaming, grunting]
The waterslide brushes against a rock and a piece of the tears off.
[Air hisses]
The waterslide bounces back into the water. The cadets stop on a sand dune and look at waterslide.
Frizzy says, OH, NO!
IT'S DEFLATING!
Pounce says, AND THEY'RE HEADED FOR A RIP.
The waterslide deflates.
Wei asks, WHAT DO WE DO?
THERE'S NOTHING TO HOLD ONTO.
On the beach, Frizzy shouts, THE LIFEGUARDS
WILL BE HERE IN A MINUTE, YOU NEED
TO FLOAT!
[Exciting music continues, splashing]
On the waterslide, Wei says, OH, OKAY.
I'LL TRY.
Wei sings, AIR IN MY TUMMY, TUMMY IN THE AIR.
LEGS ALL LOOSE AND ARMS OUT THERE.
[Whimpering]
Roadie says, OH, NO. OW!
Roadie jumps into the water. The waterslide sinks.
[Splash]
On the beach, Frizzy shouts, NO, ROADIE,
DON'T TRY TO SWIM! FLOAT!
Roadie says, OH NO, OH NO!
OOH, OW!
Frizzy shouts, NO, ROADIE, FLOAT! FLOAT!
[Motorboat engine hums, panicked grunting]
Roadie shouts, HELP, HELP!
Sandy says, YOU'RE FINE, WE'VE GOT YOU.
Sandy helps Roadie onto the boat.
[Grunting]
Bondi asks, WHERE'S WEI?
Wei floats to the shore beside the deflated waterslide.
Wei says, OH.
Neville shouts, YEAH!
Frizzy cheers, OH, YEAH, WOO!
The cadets shout, SHE'S HERE!
Pounce asks, ARE YOU OKAY?
Wei says, YEAH, THANKS TO MY
FLOATING LESSONS.
Philippa says, FLOATY!
[Laughing, water sloshes]
Roadie steps off the boat onto the beach.
[Rustling]
Reef says, OH, THOUGHT I LOST YOU,
BUDDY. COME HERE, YOU OKAY?
Reef hugs Roadie.
Sandy says, IF HE SURVIVES THAT HUG HE'LL
BE FINE.
[Grunting]
Roadie says, TOO TIGHT, TOO TIGHT.
[Water sloshes, birds call]
Sandy says, BUT NOW YOU'VE SEEN WHY
FLOATING IS SO IMPORTANT.
Roadie says, 'CAUSE I CAN SWIM, I DIDN'T
THINK I NEEDED TO KNOW HOW
TO FLOAT.
Sandy explains, SWIMMING AGAINST A RIP
CURRENT CAN TIRE YOU OUT.
IT'S ALWAYS BEST TO FLOAT.
[Gherkinn cries]
Gherkin says, GOODBYE, SLIPPERY DIPPY.
REST IN PIECES.
[Gherkinn cries]
Sandy says, ANYTHING YOU TWO WANT TO SAY?
[Pleasant music plays]
Reef says, YEAH, WE'RE REAL SORRY, EH?
WE DIDN'T MEAN TO PUT YOUS GUYS
IN DANGER OR BREAK THE SLIDE,
YOU KNOW. SORRY.
Roadie says, YEAH, AND ALSO, I DON'T KNOW
HOW TO FLOAT.
Frizzy says, WE CAN HELP YOU WITH THAT.
[Water sloshes]
Later, Roadie puts a blue bandage on the tear in the inflated waterslide. Reed stands with a flipper resting on the pump.
[Pump chugs, upbeat music plays]
Roadie shouts, READY!
The cadets stand on the stairs leading to the waterslide.
The cadets shout, YEAH
Sandy says, HOLD IT, HOLD IT.
I NEED TO CHECK IF IT'S SAFE FIRST.
ROO TO THE WOO-HOO!
[Splash]
Sandy says, YEAH, I THINK I'D BETTER CHECK
ONE MORE TIME.
[Everyone laughs]
[Upbeat music plays]

PICK ME, FIRST.
[Giggling]
Pounce and Philippa stand by the water.
[Upbeat music plays]
Pounce says, OKAY, PHILIPPA,
START FLOATING.
Philippa says, FLOATY.
Philippa throws a yellow water wing into the water.
[Splash]
Pounce says, NO, YOU NEED TO FLOAT.
Philippa says, TWO FLOATIES.
Philippa throws a second yellow water wing into the water.
[Whoosh, splash]
Philippa says, FLOATIES!
Pounce says, NO, YOU FLOATY.
NOT SWIMMING, FLOATING.
HERE, I'LL SHOW YOU.
Philippa says, POUNCE FLOATY.
Philippa stands on Pounce’s tummy. Dougall floats past them on his back.
[Philippa giggles]
Neville says, GREAT WORK, DOUGALL.
Frizzy holds the megaphone and watches Wei wade into the water.
Frizzy says, through the megaphone, WAY TO GO, WEI!
YOU CAN DO THIS!
[Splashing, coughing, birds cry, upbeat music plays]
Wei says, I DON'T KNOW HOW.
Frizzy says, SURE YOU CAN, IT'S SIMPLE.
TUMMY UP, POSE LIKE A STARFISH,
EARS IN THE WATER, LIFT YOUR
CHIN, PALMS UP, CHEST UP, ARCH
YOUR BACK, DON'T PULL YOUR LEGS,
MASSAGE THE WATER, FEEL THE
WATER, AND RELAX.
Wei lies on her back and sinks into the water.
[Bubbling, coughing]
Frizzy says, MAYBE MORE INSTRUCTIONS
WOULD HELP?
[Whoosh]
Pounce says, THAT'S RIGHT, PHILIPPA,
FLOAT LIKE A FLOATY.
Philippa says, FLOATY!
Pounce says, WELL DONE, YOU CAN FLOAT!
NOW COME GET YOUR PASS.
Philippa repeats, PASS!
Gemma pushes a button on the pump.
Gemma says, THERE WE GO, ALL DONE.
[Birds call]
Gherkinn says, OH, GOODNESS, SLIPPERY DIPPY!
HERE I--
Gemma says, WHOA!
WHERE'S YOUR WATERSLIDE PASS?
Gherkinn says, HAH, I'M NOT NEEDING A PASS
FOR MY OWN WATERSLIDE, NO WAY!
Gemma narrows her eyes. Soon, Gherkinn floats on his back on the water.
[Upbeat music plays]
Gemma says, TEN MORE SECONDS, KEEP GOING.
On the beach, Pounce says, GREAT WORK,
PHILIPPA AND DOUGALL.
YOU'VE EARNED A PASS
TO USE THE WATERSLIDE.
Philippa cheers, SHELLY!
Dougall says, OH, THANK YOU.
[Footsteps crunching in sand, sad music]
Frizzy says, SORRY, WEI, BUT YOU CAN'T
GO ON THE WATERSLIDE IF YOU
CAN'T FLOAT.
[Wei sniffles]
Gherkinn says, HEY, EVERYBODY, I GOT MY
PASS, SO THE SPLISHY SLIPPERY
DIPPERY IS OFFICIALLY OPEN FOR BUSINESS!
[Cheering, upbeat music plays]
Pounce cheers, WATERSLIDE, YEAH!
[Cheering, water splashes]
At the top of the waterslide, Bondi says, JUST A HOT MINUTE.
I'LL NEED TO TEST THIS THING OUT
FIRST. FOR IMPORTANT SAFETY REASONS.
WAHOO!
Bondi slides down the waterslide.
[Splash, birds call]
Frizzy asks, WELL, BONDI, IS IT SAFE?
Bondi says, OH, YEAH, TOTALLY SAFE, BUT,
UM, I THINK I'D BETTER TRY IT
OUT A FEW MORE TIMES JUST IN CASE.
[Cheering, water splashes]
The children slide down the waterslide.
Neville cheers, LET'S GO DOWN THE
SLIPPERY DIP!
Gemma cheers, YES, WOO-HOO!
[Gherkinn shouts, children cheer]
On the beach, Wei watches the others playing on the waterslide. Wei walks to a rock and sits down.
[Soft crying]
[Upbeat music plays]
Frizzy says, SO COOL!
Neville says, FRIZZY, LOOK. POOR WEI.
MAYBE WE COULD TRY AND GIVE HER
A BIT MORE HELP.
Neville and Frizzy run past Reef, a purple and yellow seal, and Roadie, a small orange animal with a pointed snout and a blue nose.
[Upbeat music plays]
Reef says, RIDING AND SLIDING TIME, ROADIE.
Gemma says, WHOA, THERE.
DO YOU HAVE A WATERSLIDE PASS?
Roadie asks, NO, WHAT'S THAT?
Pounce says, YOU NEED TO PROVE YOU
CAN FLOAT TO GO ON THE WATERSLIDE.
Reef says, YEAH, COURSE WE CAN FLOAT.
Gemma says, THEN PROVE IT.
Roadie says, WE'RE NOT TAKING A FLOATING
TEST, THAT'S FOR BABIES.
Gemma says, NO FLOATY, NO FUNSY.
[Groaning]
Roadie whispers, IF WE CAN'T GO TO THE
WATERSLIDE, THEN THE WATERSLIDE
CAN COME TO US.
Reef says, YEAH, COME TO US.
[Chuckling, water splashes]
Neville looks down at Wei in shallow water.
Neville says, IT CAN HELP IF YOU PUSH YOUR
TUMMY UP AND TAKE A BIG BREATH.
[Inhale, exhale]
Frizzy floats beside Wei.
Frizzy sings, AIR IN MY TUMMY,
TUMMY IN THE AIR. LEGS ALL LOOSE
AND ARMS OUT THERE.
[Wei laughs]
Neville says, THERE YOU GO, WEI,
YOU'RE DOING IT!
[Wei gasps]
Wei says, I'M DOING IT!
[Splash]
Frizzy says, CONGRATULATIONS, WEI,
YOU'VE EARNED YOUR PASS.
Soon, Neville, Wei and Frizzy run across the beach.
[Cheering, laughing]
Wei says, YEAH, HERE WE COME!
Neville says, WATERSLIDE, YAY!
Frizzy slides down the waterslide.
Frizzy says, HERE COMES THE FRIZZY DIZZY!
[Shouting, upbeat music plays, splashing]
Wei stands at the top of the waterslide and watches Neville slide down.
Neville says, PREPARE FOR TOTAL
NEVILLATION. WHOA!
[Laughing]
Reef and Roadie stand beside the waterslide. Roadie unties the slide from a peg in the sand.
[Reef and Roadie chuckle]
Roadie says, THAT'S IT, NOW PULL
IT ONTO THE SAND.
WE DON'T NEED A PASS IF IT'S A
LAND SLIDE.
[Wind blows]
The wind blows the waterslide to the side. Roadie holds on to the rope.
[Shouting]
[Neville and Frizzy gasp, shouting]
The waterslide floats out onto the water with Wei standing at the top of the slide.
[Wind blows]
Roadie shouts, WHOA!
Roadie lands on the stairs at the back of the waterslide. He runs up and crouches beside Wei.
Wei says, OH, WE'RE BLOWING AWAY!
WHERE ARE WE GOING?
[Shouting, screaming, upbeat music continues]
The waterslide floats towards Gherkin, who is relaxing on a pizza slice-shaped floatie.
Gherkinn shouts, I BREATHE LIFE INTO YOU AND
NOW YOU ARE WANTING TO EAT ME?
[Screaming, splash]
Wei says, OH, NO!
[Shouting]
On the beach, Pounce shouts, WEI, ROADIE, LET GO!
Roadie shouts, IT'S MOVING TOO FAST!
Standing on a tree tower lookout, Big Trev sips coffee from a mug.
[Spitting]
Big Trev exclaims, GREAT GUM NUTS! HM?
The waterslide blows around a bay.
[Wind blows]
Big Trev says, WELL, THIS IS A FIRST.
AN EMERGENCY!
The cadets, Bondi and Sandy prepare their rescue equipment.
[Alarm blares, whirring, exciting music plays, clicking, beeping, helicopter blades whirr, engine hums, whooshing]
Bondi and Sandy ride in a motorboat.
[Exciting music plays]
Bondi says, IT'S HEADED FOR THE BEACH.
The waterslide bounces onto the beach and up sand dunes.
[Roadie grunts]
Roadie says, OH, NO.
[Whimpering]
Roadie says, OW!
In the boat, Sandy says, WE'LL HAVE TO GO BACK AROUND.
Wei and Roadie say, OH, NO!
Roadie chants, NO, NO, NO!
[Screaming, grunting]
The waterslide brushes against a rock and a piece of the tears off.
[Air hisses]
The waterslide bounces back into the water. The cadets stop on a sand dune and look at waterslide.
Frizzy says, OH, NO!
IT'S DEFLATING!
Pounce says, AND THEY'RE HEADED FOR A RIP.
The waterslide deflates.
Wei asks, WHAT DO WE DO?
THERE'S NOTHING TO HOLD ONTO.
On the beach, Frizzy shouts, THE LIFEGUARDS
WILL BE HERE IN A MINUTE, YOU NEED
TO FLOAT!
[Exciting music continues, splashing]
On the waterslide, Wei says, OH, OKAY.
I'LL TRY.
Wei sings, AIR IN MY TUMMY, TUMMY IN THE AIR.
LEGS ALL LOOSE AND ARMS OUT THERE.
[Whimpering]
Roadie says, OH, NO. OW!
Roadie jumps into the water. The waterslide sinks.
[Splash]
On the beach, Frizzy shouts, NO, ROADIE,
DON'T TRY TO SWIM! FLOAT!
Roadie says, OH NO, OH NO!
OOH, OW!
Frizzy shouts, NO, ROADIE, FLOAT! FLOAT!
[Motorboat engine hums, panicked grunting]
Roadie shouts, HELP, HELP!
Sandy says, YOU'RE FINE, WE'VE GOT YOU.
Sandy helps Roadie onto the boat.
[Grunting]
Bondi asks, WHERE'S WEI?
Wei floats to the shore beside the deflated waterslide.
Wei says, OH.
Neville shouts, YEAH!
Frizzy cheers, OH, YEAH, WOO!
The cadets shout, SHE'S HERE!
Pounce asks, ARE YOU OKAY?
Wei says, YEAH, THANKS TO MY
FLOATING LESSONS.
Philippa says, FLOATY!
[Laughing, water sloshes]
Roadie steps off the boat onto the beach.
[Rustling]
Reef says, OH, THOUGHT I LOST YOU,
BUDDY. COME HERE, YOU OKAY?
Reef hugs Roadie.
Sandy says, IF HE SURVIVES THAT HUG HE'LL
BE FINE.
[Grunting]
Roadie says, TOO TIGHT, TOO TIGHT.
[Water sloshes, birds call]
Sandy says, BUT NOW YOU'VE SEEN WHY
FLOATING IS SO IMPORTANT.
Roadie says, 'CAUSE I CAN SWIM, I DIDN'T
THINK I NEEDED TO KNOW HOW
TO FLOAT.
Sandy explains, SWIMMING AGAINST A RIP
CURRENT CAN TIRE YOU OUT.
IT'S ALWAYS BEST TO FLOAT.
[Gherkinn cries]
Gherkin says, GOODBYE, SLIPPERY DIPPY.
REST IN PIECES.
[Gherkinn cries]
Sandy says, ANYTHING YOU TWO WANT TO SAY?
[Pleasant music plays]
Reef says, YEAH, WE'RE REAL SORRY, EH?
WE DIDN'T MEAN TO PUT YOUS GUYS
IN DANGER OR BREAK THE SLIDE,
YOU KNOW. SORRY.
Roadie says, YEAH, AND ALSO, I DON'T KNOW
HOW TO FLOAT.
Frizzy says, WE CAN HELP YOU WITH THAT.
[Water sloshes]
Later, Roadie puts a blue bandage on the tear in the inflated waterslide. Reed stands with a flipper resting on the pump.
[Pump chugs, upbeat music plays]
Roadie shouts, READY!
The cadets stand on the stairs leading to the waterslide.
The cadets shout, YEAH
Sandy says, HOLD IT, HOLD IT.
I NEED TO CHECK IF IT'S SAFE FIRST.
ROO TO THE WOO-HOO!
[Splash]
Sandy says, YEAH, I THINK I'D BETTER CHECK
ONE MORE TIME.
[Everyone laughs]
[Upbeat music plays]
Voices sing, WE'RE HERE ALL SUMMER
IT JUST GETS FUN-ER,
LET'S HOP DOWN TO
KANGAROO BEACH.
