Pip and Posy grab each other’s hands and dance together. Pip wears a white and green striped, long-sleeved shirt and jeans. Posy wears a blue and red T-shirt with a blue and white polka dot skirt.
[Giggling]
Pip carries Posy on his back. Posy tosses her toy frog, Froggy, high in the air. She catches Froggy as Pip’s toy pig, Piggy, lands in Pip’s hand.
Pip says, OH!
[Giggling]
Posy says, COME ON!
She and Pip both say, LET'S PLAY!
[Giggling]
Pip and Posy run together. A title appears. It reads Pip and Posy.
[Gentle music plays]
On a dirt path with grass on both sides, Posy trots like a horse. She holds a stick in her right hand.
Posy says, CLIPPY-CLOP-CLIPPY-CLOP!
[Footsteps thumping, Posy imitates horse whinnying, playful music plays]
Posy shouts, WHERE ARE YOU, NAUGHTY DRAGON?
At a red bench in front of the play spot, Pip puts a lunch box in his backpack. Froggy hangs over the top of the backpack.
[Pip giggling]
Pip turns toward Posy with two carrot sticks dangling from his mouth like fangs.
[Pip roaring]
Posy says, AH, THE DRAGON!
TAKE THAT!
Posy pokes the stick towards Pip.
[Pip growling]
Pip eats one of the carrot sticks.
[Slurping, chewing]
Posy asks, UM, WHAT'RE YOU DOING?
Pip says, EVEN DRAGONS NEED TO EAT
THEIR VEGGIES.
[Crunching]
Posy says, OH!
[Posy giggles]
Pip says, DONE.
[Pip roaring, Pip and Posy giggling]
Jamila skips down the path towards Pip and Posy. She holds a reusable water bottle.
Posy says, JAMILA-BABILA!
Jamila says, HI, WHAT YOU PLAYING?
KNIGHTS AND DRAGONS!
Posy says, I'M A KNIGHT!
Posy pretends to ride a horse.
Posy says, CLIP-CLOP-CLIP-CLOP.
Pip says, AND I'M A DRAGON!
[Pip roaring]
Jamila says, DRAGON?
HM, I'D RATHER BE A DRAGONFLY.
Pip and Posy repeat, A DRAGONFLY?
Jamila puts her water bottle on the bench. She spreads her arms out.
[Footsteps padding]
Jamila says, UH-HUH, LIKE THIS.
Posy and Pip spread their arms out.
[Jamila humming]
[Both giggling]
Posy says, WE WANT TO PLAY DRAGONFLIES!
Pip and Posy follow Jamila. They all pretend to fly around the playground.
[Pip and Posy giggling, playful music plays]
[Pip roaring, Posy and Jamila laughing]
Jamila says, DRAGONFLIES DON'T ROAR.
THEY HARDLY MAKE ANY SOUND AT
ALL, LIKE THIS.
Jamila jiggles her arms up and down rapidly.
[Jamila humming, gentle music plays]
Pip says, OH, OKAY.
Everyone walks around the playground with their arms spread. Pip and Posy stop walking and look at each other.
[Everyone humming, footsteps rustling, gentle music plays]
Pip suggests, UM, MAYBE WE COULD
BE SOMETHING ELSE?
Jamila says, OOH, ANOTHER BUG.
A bee flies between Posy and Pip.
Posy says, OH, HELLO.
[Posy gasping]
Posy says, LET'S PLAY BUZZY BEES!
[Posy buzzing, Pip giggling, playful music plays]
Everyone wiggles their fingers. The bee hovers in the air watching and rolls their eyes. The bee swoops down and lands on a yellow flower.
[Children buzzing, bee buzzing]
Jamila says, LOOK, IT'S DRINKING NECTAR.
Pip says, MM, TASTY NECTAR!
Pip runs to a nearby flower and kneels. He pretends to lick the flower.
[Pip buzzing, footsteps rustling, Pip giggling]
[Posy and Jamila giggling]
Posy and Jamila each run to a flower and kneel beside it. They lick the air close to the petals.
[Children buzzing, slurping, playful music continues]
Posy stands and says, I LIKE BEING A BEE. OH, IN FACT, I'M THE QUEEN BEE!
[Posy buzzing]
Posy runs beneath a blue climbing dome and peers through the bars.
Posy says, AND THIS IS MY CASTLE!
[Pip giggling]
Pip climbs to the top of the climbing dome.
Pip says, NO, I'M THE KING BEE, AND
THIS IS MY THRONE!
Jamila says, UM, BUT THERE'S NO SUCH THING
AS A KING BEE.
Pip says, OH.
[Posy giggling]
Posy says, I TOLD YOU IT WAS MY CASTLE.
Jamila says, AND THEY DON'T LIVE IN CASTLES.
Posy says, OH, UM, NEVER MIND THEN.
Pip climbs down from the top of the dome, and Posy crawls out from beneath it.
Pip says, UH, WHAT IF WE PLAYED FROGS
INSTEAD? THEY HOP, UH, RIGHT?
Jamila nods and says, MM-HM.
Pip says, GREAT!
Pip and Posy enthusiastically hop around the playground.
Pip says, RIBBIT, RIBBIT, RIBBIT.
Posy says, BOING, BOING, BOING, BOING!
[Jamila buzzing]
Jamila says, MM, A JUICY FLY!
Jamila pretends to eat a fly.
[Jamila slurping]

Posy leapfrogs over Pip and lands in front of Jamila. Posy notices Jamila and startles.
[Posy grunts]

Pip stands and says, WE'RE HOPPY FROGGY BUDDIES.
Jamila says, OH, BUT REAL FROGS DON'T DO THAT.
Posy says sadly, OKAY, I'LL JUST HOP OVER HERE THEN.
Posy hops away from Pip and Jamila.
Posy says, HOP, HOP.
[Pip sighing]
Pip says, I'LL HOP OVER THERE.
Pip hops away from Jamila.
Pip says, RIBBIT.

By the red bench, Posy and Pip meet with Posy’s stick on the grass between them.
Pip whispers, BEING REAL THINGS ISN'T MUCH FUN.

[Posy gasping]
Posy asks, DO YOU WANT TO PLAY KNIGHTS AND
DRAGONS AGAIN?
Posy picks up the stick.
[Pip roaring softly, Posy giggling]
Jamila hops to Posy and Pip.
Posy says, UH, J-JAMILA, WE'VE GOT TO,
UH, GO.
Jamila says, OH, REALLY?
Pip says, YEAH, UH, TO MY HOUSE, TO DO
SOMETHING.
Posy picks up Pip’s backpack. She and Pip run away from Jamila.

[Footsteps rustling]

Jamila pretends to catch a fly.
[Jamila buzzing, slurping]

Posy stops by a snack shack and turns towards Pip. Posy holds out her stick.
[Giggling, footsteps rustling, upbeat music plays]
Posy shouts, YA-HA, I FOUND THE DRAGON'S LAIR!
Posy puts down the backpack and runs away from Pip.
[Pip roaring, Posy screaming, laughing]
Pip takes Froggy out of his backpack.
Pip says, OH, A PRISONER TO TAKE BACK
TO MY CAVE!
Posy chases Pip.
Posy says, SIR FROGGINGTON!
[Pip roaring, Pip and Posy laughing, grunting]
Posy chases Pip past the snack shack. Around the side, Jamila fills her water bottle at a fountain.
[Water sloshing, squeaking]
Jamila says, HI.
[Pip and Posy gasp]
Pip says, JAMILA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?
Jamila says, GETTING A DRINK.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?
I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING HOME.
Posy says, OH, YEAH, WE WERE, BUT THEN--OH...
[Pip sighing, birds chirping]
Pip says, WE'RE SORRY, JAMILA, WE
WANTED TO PLAY SOMETHING ELSE
'CAUSE BEING REAL THINGS WASN'T

Jamila holds her hand by her nose and stomps across the grass.

Posy and Pip say, WHOA.

Jamila says, IT'S ONE OF THE STRONGEST
BEETLES IN THE WORLD.
IT FLIPS ENEMIES AWAY WITH ITS
GIANT, POINTY HORN.

AND THEY CAN LIFT THINGS 800
TIMES BIGGER THAN THEY ARE.
Pip and Posy say, WHOA!
Posy says, IF I WAS THAT STRONG, I COULD
CARRY A WHOLE BUILDING.

Posy crouches close to the ground. Pip puts Froggy down on the grass and jumps on Posy’s back. She gives him a piggyback ride.
[Both giggling]
