Title: Happy Place.
[Light, cheerful music plays]
In town, Frankie and Harry smell flowers by the gazebo.
A narrator says, THE CITIZENS OF HAPPY PLACE BELIEVE THAT SHARING IS CARING. BUT TODAY, SKIP'S GOING TO FIND OUT THAT SOMETIMES NOT SHARING IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. AND THAT SAYING NO AND SETTING BOUNDARIES IS OKAY TOO.
In Skip’s bedroom, a model train is connected to multiple train cars, including one carrying coal.
Skip says, VOILA. I FINALLY FINISHED BUILDING MY NEW MODEL TRAIN. I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THIS TRAIN WITH MY DAD AND GRANDPA FOR MONTHS. IT LOOKS AWESOME.
At Clover and Ginger’s house, Clover and Ginger lie on their beds.
Clover says, HEY GINGER, ARE YOU READY TO HEAD OVER TO SKIP'S HOUSE FOR A PLAY DATE?
She climbs off her bed.
Ginger says, LET'S GO!
Clover says, I HOPE HE LETS US PLAY WITH HIS MODEL TRAINS.
Ginger says, HE'S ALWAYS TALKING ABOUT THEM, BUT I'VE NEVER ACTUALLY SEEN THEM. I CAN'T WAIT!
At Skip’s house, Skip lies on his bed.
He says, I'M SO EXCITED TO PLAY ALONE WITH MY TRAIN TODAY. I'M GOING TO PRETEND I'M A TRAIN ENGINEER DRIVING THIS EXACT TRAIN. MY GRANDPA WAS A TRAIN ENGINEER. MY DAD IS A TRAIN ENGINEER, AND ONE DAY, I'M GOING TO BE A TRAIN ENGINEER. IT'S MY DESTINY!
A picture shows a guinea pig riding a train through the countryside.
[Doorbell ringing]
Clover calls out, SKIP, WE'RE HERE FOR OUR PLAY DATE!
Ginger says, HEY, SKIP! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOUR TRAINS!
Skip hides under his blanket.
He says, says, OH NO!
[Sad trombone plays]
Skip says, I CAN'T BELIEVE CLOVER AND GINGER ARE HERE. I'M NOT READY FOR A PLAY DATE! MY NEW TRAIN IS STILL OUT, AND I DON'T WANT THEM TO TOUCH IT.
Clover and Ginger stand by the now knocked-over train set.
Clover says, HEY SKIP. WHY ARE YOU HIDING IN BED?
Ginger says, OH WOW, SKIP! THIS IS EVEN NICER THAN I IMAGINED!
She sniffs a train car.
Clover says, SKIP, DID YOU REALLY MAKE THIS TRAIN? IT LOOKS SO REAL!
She stands by the train engine.
From bed, Skip quietly says, PLEASE DON'T TOUCH IT.
Clover asks, WHAT DID YOU SAY, SKIP?
Ginger says, OH, LOOK HOW SHINY THESE TRAIN CARS ARE. CHUGGA, CHUGA, CHUGA, CHUGA, CHOO-CHOO!
Skip whimpers, OH NO. I DUNNO WHAT TO DO.
Clover nudges a grey train car.
She says, I WANNA PLAY WITH THIS TRAIN CAR.
Ginger pushes Clover away.
Ginger says, NO, IT'S MINE.
Clover pokes Ginger with her nose.
Clover says, HEY, BACK OFF!
Skip says, UM, HI CLOVER AND GINGER.
He stands between Clover and Ginger on the floor.
Clover says, I LOVE YOUR TRAIN. THANKS FOR LETTING US PLAY WITH IT.
Skip says, UM, I'M SORRY TO SAY THIS, BUT I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE SHARING THIS PARTICULAR TRAIN WITH YOU. IT'S VERY FRAGILE, AND IT MEANS SO MUCH TO ME. IT'S MY FAVORITE THING IN THE WHOLE WORLD, AND I SHOULD PROBABLY PUT IT AWAY.
Ginger says, WHAT? THAT'S NOT FAIR, SKIP!
Skip says, IT'S JUST, IT'S MY MOST PRECIOUS TRAIN SET. BUT I HAVE ANOTHER TRAIN YOU CAN PLAY WITH. LET ME PUT THIS ONE AWAY.
On a wall, a picture of a guinea pig riding a train hangs above a book about trains. Later, on the floor, Ginger sniffs a wooden train set.
Skip says, HERE, YOU CAN PLAY WITH THIS WOODEN TRAIN SET.
He sits on the bed.
Skip says, IT'S NOT AS FLASHY, BUT IT'S STILL A TRAIN, AND I DON'T MIND IF YOU TOUCH IT AND PLAY WITH IT.
Ginger says, THANKS, SKIP.
Clover says, I COULD SEE SOMETHING WAS BOTHERING YOU WHEN WE ARRIVED.
Skip says, WELL, YES. I WAS VERY UPSET AND WORRIED SOMETHING WOULD HAPPEN TO MY TRAIN. I HAD TO BE HONEST WITH YOU. AND I'M SORRY IF IT HURT YOUR FEELINGS WHEN I PUT IT AWAY.
Ginger says, I UNDERSTAND, SKIP. SOME THINGS ARE NOT MEANT FOR SHARING. I DON'T LET ANYONE TOUCH MY REMOTE-CONTROLLED BOAT.
In a picture, a guinea pig stands in a river with a remote-controlled toy boat, wearing a life vest.
Skip says, YOU HAVE A REMOTE-CONTROLLED BOAT. WOW!
Ginger says, YES, AND IT'S SOMETHING ONLY I PLAY WITH.
Clover says, IT'S TRUE. SHE WON'T EVEN LET ME, HER TWIN SISTER TOUCH IT.
Skip says, OKAY, GOOD. SO YOU UNDERSTAND?
Clover says, ABSOLUTELY. BESIDES, I'M HAVING SO MUCH FUN PLAYING WITH THIS TRAIN. I'VE FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE OTHER ONE.
[Clover giggling]
Later in his room, Skip lies in a chair with his model train set on the floor.
Skip says, I AM SO RELIEVED THAT MY FRIENDS WERE OKAY WITH ME BEING HONEST AND TELLING THEM THEY COULDN'T PLAY WITH MY MODEL TRAIN. THEY HAD FUN, AND I WAS ABLE TO RELAX AND ENJOY THEIR COMPANY.
The narrator says, AND SO IT WAS, SKIP LEARNED THAT LISTENING TO HIS FEELINGS, BEING HONEST, AND SETTING BOUNDARIES WAS THE BEST SOLUTION BECAUSE SHARING IS CARING AND SOMETIMES WELL, YOU JUST CAN'T SHARE, AND THAT'S OKAY TOO.
