Transcript: A House for Snout / JunJun's Brain Freeze
[Cheerful music plays]
A staircase spirals around the tree trunk of the Treeborhood. Tiny houses are nestled in the tree. In the Wombat’s house, Malik, a blue-grey wombat; Zadie, a purple wombat; and Zeke, a yellow wombat, sleep in hammocks. They wake up, jump out of their hammocks, and high-five each other. Their grandmother, Super, a blue wombat with pink hair, pours milk and breakfast cereal into their bowls. Zeke holds his stuffed wombat, Snout. The children leave the house and slide across tree branches.
The siblings sing, WHEN THERE'S A PROBLEM WHAT DO WE SAY? WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT WORK IT OUT WOMBATS!
Other residents of the Treebourhood smile and wave at the siblings.
The siblings sing, WHERE THERE'S A WILL THERE'S ALWAYS A WAY! WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT WORK IT OUT WOMBATS!
They plant seeds with Kat, Kit, Carly, CeCe and Clyde, a family of green crabs.
Zadie sings, WE'VE GOT IDEAS FOR DAYS.
Malik sings, SOLVE PROBLEMS LOTS OF WAYS.
He and his siblings decorate cupcakes with Louisa, a tarsier, and her parents, blue-haired Duffy and green-haired Leiko, who are kangaroos.
Zeke sings, I LOVE IT WHEN WE PLAY.
Ellie, a moose, jumps on a trampoline. Her hat flies off.
The wombat siblings sing, ALL TOGETHER!
They fly in a hot air balloon with Enrique, known as Quique, and Sammy, who are snakes. They fly past Ellie and Malik returns her hat.
On a bench, Zadie sings, HEY, I'M ZADIE BRING ON THE PROBLEMS.TRY SOME DIFFERENT THINGS TILL WE SOLVE THEM.
Zadie has purple fur and wears an orange shirt with a yellow lightning bolt. She helps Mr. E, an iguana, with his basket of apples.
Malik sings, I'M MALIK, WE'LL WORK IT OUT JUST WAIT. WE MAKE SOME PLANS THEN WE BUILD AND CREATE.
He has grey fur and wears a purple hoodie. He rides a homemade race car with JunJun, a pink eagle.
Zeke sings, I'M ZEKE, HERE'S SNOUT WE LIKE TO EXPLORE.
He has orange fur and wears a blue striped shirt. He runs around with Snout, his blue stuffed animal.
The wombat siblings sing, LET'S GO DO IT ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR!
The siblings and their friends sing, HELP'S NEVER FAR AWAY THAT'S FOR SURE. WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT WORK IT OUT WOMBATS!
In the Starlight Community Room, they build a Rube Goldberg machine.
Everyone sings, COME JOIN THE FUN GET READY, LET'S GO! WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT WORK IT OUT WOMBATS!
All their Treeborhood friends appear.
The siblings sing, WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT WORK IT OUT WOMBATS!
The title reads, Work It Out Wombats!
[Cheerful music plays]
The siblings cheer, YEAH!
Zeke reads the episode title card.
He says, A HOUSE FOR SNOUT.

[Gentle music plays]
At the Everything Emporium, Louisa says, THIS WAY!
She drags Zeke through the store.
Louisa says, YOU'VE GOT TO SEE THIS! IT'S THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER!
Zeke frowns. Louisa pulls him to another part of the store. She and Zeke look up at a large doll house.
Zeke says, A SHRUNKEN HOUSE? HOW DID IT GET SO SMALL? DID A WIZARD DO IT, OR MAYBE A SHRINK RAY?
Louisa says, IT'S NOT A SHRUNKEN HOUSE! DID YOU NOT KNOW? THIS IS A DOLL HOUSE! IT'S A PLACE FOR DOLLS AND STUFFIES TO PLAY IN.
Different levels of the dollhouse have different rooms, including a living room, a bathroom and a bedroom.
Louisa says, YOU SHOULD GET THIS ONE FOR SNOUT!
Zeke holds Snout up to his ear.
[Snout quietly squeaking]
Zeke says, SNOUT WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE THAT HOUSE.
Louisa yells, MR. E!
Mr. E runs over to Zeke and Louisa.
Louisa says, ZEKE AND I WOULD LIKE TO BUY THAT DOLL HOUSE PLEASE!
Mr. E says, WONDERFUL, IT COSTS 50 MONIES.
Louisa says, 50 MONIES?!
She and Zeke look shocked. They share a worried look.
Louisa asks, HOW MUCH HAVE YOU GOT, ZEKE?
Zeke reaches into his pocket.
He says, TWO MARBLES AND A LINT BALL.
Louisa pulls a lollipop out of her pocket.
She says, AND ONE LOLLIPOP. THAT SHOULD DO IT. RIGHT, MR. E?
Mr. E says, I'M AFRAID WE DON'T ACCEPT LINT OR LOLLIPOPS AS PAYMENT.
LOUISA.
Zeke and Louisa sigh, AWW.
Mr. E says, NOW, EXCUSE ME. I HAVE TO GET BACK TO WORK. THERE ARE CARDBOARD BOXES I NEED TO RECYCLE BEFORE IT STARTS RAINING. WE ALL KNOW CARDBOARD AND WATER DON'T MIX.
Mr. E walks away.
Zeke says, I LOVE CARDBOARD BOXES! YOU CAN MAKE ANYTHING OUT OF THEM. COME ON!
He grabs Louisa’s hand and pulls her outside. Zeke and Louisa run around the store and meet Mr. E at the recycling bin. Mr. E tosses a stack of cardboard boxes onto the bin and returns to the store.
Zeke says, I HAVE AN IDEA. WHAT IF WE USED THOSE BOXES TO MAKE A HOUSE FOR SNOUT?
He imagines the cardboard boxes as a dollhouse.
Louisa says, THAT'S EVEN MORE FUN THAN BUYING ONE! PLUS, I GET TO KEEP MY LOLLIPOP.
She holds up her lollipop.
Louisa yells, MR. E!
Mr. E runs outside.
Zeke asks, HOW MUCH DO THESE BOXES COST?
Mr. E says, OH, UH, YOU CAN HAVE THEM FOR FREE.
Louisa says, NOW THAT'S A BARGAIN.
Zeke says, LET'S PRETEND TO BE RECYCLING TRUCKS AND TAKE THE BOXES TO MY HOUSE. VROOM, VROOM! BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP.
He backs up with his arms stretched toward the boxes. Mr. E watches with surprise. Zeke picks up a stack of boxes.
Zeke says, VOOM, VROOM!
Louisa backs up toward the recycling bin.
Mr. E waves and says, GOOD DAY, ENJOY YOUR BOXES.
Louisa looks annoyed.
She says, DID YOU NOT KNOW RECYCLING TRUCKS DON'T TALK?
Mr. E frowns.
Louisa says, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP!
She picks up two boxes and walks away. Mr. E shrugs. Later in the Treebourhood, it rains.
[Rain spattering]
In the living room at Zeke’s house, Zeke picks up a wet cardboard box.
Zeke says, GOOD THING WE GOT BACK BEFORE IT STARTED RAINING TOO HARD. ONLY ONE BOX GOT WET.
He gently squeezes the box, and it flattens in his paws. Louisa holds Snout up to her ear.
Louisa says, MM-HMM, YEP, OKAY.
She nods.
Louisa says, SNOUT SAYS HE WANTS HIS HOUSE TO HAVE A MOVIE THEATRE, A POOL, A SKATING RINK, AND AN ELEVATOR.
Zeke crosses his arms and says, HE DID NOT SAY THAT!
Louisa says, HE DID TOO!
Zeke holds up Snout and imagines Snout outside a small house.
Zeke says, HE JUST WANTS A COZY LITTLE HOUSE WITH A LIVING ROOM, A KITCHEN, A BATHROOM, AND A BEDROOM.
Zeke imagines Snout sitting in a chair with a book in a living room, holding a frying pan in a kitchen, having a bubble bath in a bathroom and lying in bed in a bedroom.
Louisa says, WELL, IT'S YOUR HOUSE, SNOUT. LET'S BUILD IT!
Zeke says, SAFETY FIRST!
He puts a box on his head.
Zeke says, GRANDMA SUPER ALWAYS PUTS ON A CONSTRUCTION HAT WHEN SHE'S BUILDING SOMETHING.
Louisa puts a box on her head.
[Louisa grunting]
Zeke holds up Snout.
He says, SNOUT WOULD LIKE TO CREATE THE BEDROOM FIRST, SO IF HE GETS TIRED, HE CAN TAKE A NAP.
Louisa looks around.
She picks up a small box and says, THIS BOX LOOKS LIKE A GOOD SIZE FOR SNOUT. I'M GOING TO HAVE SNOUT TEST IT OUT.
Louisa stuffs Snout into the small box. Zeke takes the box from Louisa.
Zeke says, SNOUT SAYS…
He squishes his cheeks together.
Zeke says, "THIS BOX IS TOO SMALL, I'M SMOOSHED."
He lets go of his cheeks.
Zeke says, WE NEED TO IMPROVE IT. LET'S TEST THIS BIGGER BOX!
He holds up a bigger box and then stands it up on the floor. Zeke puts Snout in the tall box.
Louisa asks, DO YOU LIKE IT, SNOUT?
Zeke kneels beside Snout and holds his paw to his ear.
Zeke says, HE'S THINKING.
He nods.
Zeke says, SNOUT SAYS WE NEED TO IMPROVE IT. IT'S THE RIGHT SIZE, BUT IT'S TOO EMPTY.
Louisa says, DID YOU NOT KNOW IT'S NOT A BEDROOM YET BECAUSE WE HAVEN'T MADE A PLACE FOR YOU TO SLEEP?
Zeke says, LET'S CREATE ONE!
He pulls a purple shoe box out from under the nearby couch.
Zeke says, THIS IS MY HIDDEN TREASURE BOX OF STUFF I FOUND.
He opens the box full of items including a button, an onion bag, a coin and a towel.
Zeke says, WE CAN USE IT TO CREATE FURNITURE. LOOK!
She and Zeke reach toward the box. Louisa grabs the onion bag.
Louisa says, AN OLD ONION BAG! HMM. WE COULD CREATE A HAMMOCK OUT OF THIS!
She holds the onion bag like a hammock.
Louisa says, LIKE THE ONE YOU SLEEP IN!
Zeke frowns and says, I WAS GOING TO SAY THAT.
He crosses his arms. Kneeling on either side of the box, Zeke and Louisa hang the onion bag hammock inside. Zeke puts Snout in the hammock.
Zeke says, SNOUT IS GOING TO TEST IT OUT.
Louisa claps.
Zeke says, HE LIKES HIS HAMMOCK VERY MUCH!
Louisa nods.
Zeke says, SNOUT SAYS HE NEEDS A SNACK BEFORE BED, SO, HE NEEDS A KITCHEN.
Louisa says, OKIE-DOKEY.
She looks at the other boxes scattered around the room. She grabs one of the boxes and tosses it aside.
Louisa smiles and says, THIS LOOKS LIKE A GOOD BOX FOR THE KITCHEN!
She picks up a box with a knife and fork icon on the bottom.
Louisa says, IT HAS FORKS AND KNIVES ON IT.
She puts the box on the floor beside the bedroom box. Zeke puts a small white box inside it.
Zeke says, AND THIS LITTLE BOX COULD BE THE REFRIGERATOR, BUT IT NEEDS SNOUT'S FAVOURITE SNACK.
Louisa grabs Snout and holds him up to her ear.
Louisa says, HE WANTS APPLESAUCE BECAUSE THAT'S MY FAVOURITE.
Zeke shakes his head and says, UH-UH, SNOUT'S FAVOURITE SNACK IS STRAWBERRY JAM. I'LL GET IT.
He rolls like a ball out of the room.
Louisa looks at Snout and says, YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE WITH THE APPLESAUCE.
Zeke returns with a spoon and a jar of strawberry jam. He passes the spoon to Louisa and Louisa scoops out a spoonful of jam.
Louisa says, TRY A BITE, SNOUT!
She holds the spoonful of jam up to Snout’s mouth and smears jam on his face.
Zeke says, HEY! YOU GOT JAM ON HIM!
He points at Louisa and puts down the jar of jam. Zeke grabs the towel out of his treasure box and wipes the jam off Snout.
Zeke says, SNOUT DOESN'T LIKE A JAMMY FACE.
He takes Snout away from Louisa.
Louisa says, SNOUT SURE IS MOODY.
Zeke says, HE IS NOT!
Louisa says, IS TOO.
She crosses her arms. Zeke carries Snout over to the boxes and puts the jam jar inside the kitchen box.
Zeke asks, DO YOU LIKE YOUR KITCHEN, SNOUT?
He tilts Snout’s head forward.
[Snout squeaking]
Zeke says, HE LIKES IT VERY MUCH!
He and Louisa smile and high-five.
Louisa says, SINCE SNOUT SPILLED JAM ON HIS FACE, HE'S GONNA NEED A BATH AFTER HIS SNACK.
Zeke frowns and says, HE DIDN'T SPILL JAM, YOU DID!
He glares at Louisa.
Louisa says, THAT DOESN'T MATTER, HE STILL NEEDS A BATHTUB.
She grabs a round cardboard box.
Louisa says, LET'S USE THIS ROUND CARDBOARD BOX. NOW WE NEED TO FILL THE BOX WITH WATER!
Zeke says, I DON'T THINK WE CAN. REMEMBER WHAT MR. E SAID? CARDBOARD AND WATER DON'T MIX. IF THE BATHTUB IS MADE OF CARDBOARD, IT WILL GET SOGGY LIKE THAT BOX.
Zeke glances at the wet, flattened cardboard box. He looks thoughtful.
He says, I KNOW!
Zeke cartwheels into the kitchen and leaps inside a cupboard.
[Clattering]
Zeke jumps out of another cupboard with a bowl on his head.
He says, I'M GOING TO TEST THIS PLASTIC BOWL!
Louisa takes the bowl from Zeke and fills it with water.
Zeke says, HEY, I WANTED TO DO THAT!
[Water sloshing]
Louisa taps the side of the bowl.
She says, IT WORKS! THE BOWL ISN'T SOGGY! I'LL PUT IT IN THE HOUSE.
Louisa runs toward the living room.
Zeke says, LOUISA, I WANT TO DO IT!
He runs after Louisa. In the living room, Louisa puts the bowl of water in a box on the floor under the kitchen box.
Zeke shouts, NO!
He dives under a cardboard box. Louisa walks over to the box with a worried look. She lightly knocks on the box.
[Knocking]
From inside the box, Zeke says, GO AWAY!
Louisa asks, WHAT'S WRONG?
Zeke angrily says, YOU'RE NOT LISTENING TO ME, I WANTED TO TEST THE BOWL! I WANTED TO MAKE THE HAMMOCK! AND SNOUT IS NOT MOODY!
Louisa drops her shoulders and rubs her arm.
She says, SORRY. I PROMISE I'LL DO BETTER.
Louisa knocks on the box.
[Knocking]
Louisa says, ZEKE, WHAT DOES SNOUT LIKE TO DO AFTER HE TAKES A BATH?
Zeke lifts the box.
He says, HE LIKES TO READ A BEDTIME STORY IN A COMFY CHAIR.
Louisa asks, WANT TO CREATE A LIVING ROOM FOR SNOUT TO READ IN?
Zeke stands and lets the box fall closed behind him.
He says, OKAY, YOU PICK OUT THE BOX FOR THE ROOM, AND I'LL MAKE THE COMFY CHAIR.
Louisa grabs a small box. Zeke grabs a small beanbag from his treasure box.
Zeke says, LOOK, A BEANBAG CHAIR!
Louisa puts her box on the floor. Zeke puts the beanbag inside.
Zeke says, TEST IT OUT, SNOUT!
He puts Snout on the beanbag and kneels beside the box.
Zeke asks, IS IT COMFY?
[Squeaking]
Zeke says, HE SAYS IT'S THE MOST COMFIEST CHAIR EVER IN THE WHOLE WORLD, LOUISA!
He stands.
Zeke asks, DO YOU WANT TO MAKE A BOOK FOR SNOUT TO READ?
Louisa says, YES!
She grabs a piece of paper and cuts it in half with a pair of scissors. Louisa draws Snout on a half piece of now-folded paper.
Louisa says, LOOK, IT'S A BOOK ABOUT YOU, SNOUT.
She puts the book in Snout’s lap.
Zeke says, HE SAYS IT'S A VERY GOOD BOOK.
He gives a thumbs-up.
Louisa says, BEDROOM, KITCHEN, BATHROOM, LIVING ROOM. WE CREATED ALL THE ROOMS SNOUT WANTED! TEST IT OUT, SNOUT.
Zeke puts Snout in the onion bag hammock and then pulls him back out.
Zeke says, UH-OH, SNOUT HAS A RUMBLY TUMMY. TIME FOR A SNACK!
He pushes Snout against the cardboard wall separating the bedroom and the kitchen in the cardboard house.
Zeke says, SNOUT CAN'T WALK THROUGH WALLS. WE NEED TO MAKE DOORS TO IMPROVE THE HOUSE!
He draws a rectangle on the cardboard wall and cuts out a door with scissors.
Louisa says, I'LL USE THE SCISSORS TO CUT A TRAP DOOR SO HE CAN GET DOWNSTAIRS TO TAKE A BATH.
She draws a circle on the floor of the kitchen and cuts out a trap door.
Zeke says, AND I'LL CUT OUT A DOOR TO THE LIVING ROOM SO HE CAN GET COMFY AND READ A BOOK.
He cuts a door between the living room and the bathroom.
Louisa says, TEST IT OUT, SNOUT!
Zeke moves Snout through the door in the bedroom and kitchen.
Louisa says, NOW HE CAN GO FROM ONE ROOM TO THE OTHER. WE IMPROVED IT!
Zeke leaves Snout by the trap door in the kitchen.
Zeke says, UH-OH, HOW IS HE SUPPOSED TO GET DOWNSTAIRS?
Louisa says, HMM... WITH A PARACHUTE?
She imagines Snout parachuting through the trap door.
Zeke says, SNOUT COULD USE A PARACHUTE TO GO DOWNSTAIRS, BUT HE CAN'T USE ONE TO GO BACK UPSTAIRS.
He imagines Snout jumping toward the trap door in the bathroom ceiling.
From outside, Ellie shouts, YAY!
[Ellie laughing]
Zeke and Louisa run to the window and look outside where it has stopped raining. They watch Ellie climb up and slide down a pole and bounce off a cushion at the bottom.
Ellie cheers, YAY!
[Ellie laughing]
Ellie slides down the pole.
Zeke and Louise say, A FIRE POLE!
Zeke grabs a straw and a wad of gum from his treasure box. He sticks the straw in the gum and the gum to the bathroom floor in the cardboard house.
Louisa says, COOL BEANS! SNOUT CAN USE THE STRAW SLIDE TO SLIDE DOWN, AND THEN GO UP, JUST LIKE ELLIE DOES. TEST IT OUT, SNOUT!
Zeke moves Snout up and down the straw fire pole. He moves Snout in and out of the kitchen and bathroom.
Zeke says, WE IMPROVED THE HOUSE!
He and Louisa dance. Louisa lies on her belly in front of the house.
Louisa says, WELCOME TO YOUR BRAND-NEW, CUSTOM-BUILT HOUSE, SNOUT!
She moves Snout through the different rooms of the house.
Louisa says, AS YOU CAN SEE, ZEKE AND I CREATED, TESTED AND IMPROVED EVERYTHING HERE TO MAKE YOUR FOREVER DREAM HOUSE!
She puts Snout in the bedroom hammock.
Zeke says, HE SAYS THERE'S ONE THING MISSING. SNOUT LIKES TO LOOK AT THE STARS IN THE STARLIGHT ROOF. SO HE'D LOVE TO LOOK AT THE STARS AT NIGHT IN HIS HAMMOCK. LET'S MAKE A WINDOW IN THE ROOF!
Zeke cuts an oval-shaped window in the roof above the bedroom.
He says, SNOUT SAYS HE STILL CAN'T SEE THE SKY.
Louisa asks, BECAUSE WHY NOT?
Zeke explains, STARS ARE OUTSIDE, NOT INSIDE, SO WE'VE GOTTA TAKE HIM OUTSIDE.
Louisa smiles and nods. She pulls the cardboard house outside on a wagon. Zeke follows close behind. Zeke and Louisa walk onto the porch, where it rains.
[Zeke and Louisa gasping]
Louisa says, RAIN.
Zeke says, THE HOUSE IS GETTING WET! CARDBOARD AND WATER DO NOT MIX! WAIT HERE, I HAVE A PLAN!
He grabs Snout and runs inside. Zeke puts Snout on the floor. He grabs an umbrella and some tape.
Zeke says, STAY RIGHT THERE, SNOUT. WE'RE TESTING SOMETHING OUT.
He runs outside. On the porch, he opens the umbrella over the now slightly wet cardboard house.
[Rain spattering]
Zeke says, WE CAN OPEN THE UMBRELLA IF IT'S RAINING, AND CLOSE IT WHEN SNOUT WANTS TO SEE THE STARS.
Louisa says, LET'S SEE IF SNOUT LIKES IT!
She grabs Snout from inside and puts him in the hammock. Louisa closes the umbrella.
Zeke says, AUGH, I'M GETTING WET! OPEN THE UMBRELLA!
Louisa opens the umbrella.
Zeke says, WE WORKED IT OUT, WE IMPROVED THE HOUSE!
He and Louisa dance. Inside, they stand on opposite sides of the cardboard house.
Zeke asks, WANT TO DECORATE IT NOW?
Louisa says, SURE!
Zeke puts Snout on the floor facing the wall.
Louisa says, DON'T WATCH US, SNOUT. WE WANT IT TO BE A SURPRISE. RIGHT, ZEKE?
Zeke straightens Snout and nods. He and Louisa paint the cardboard house blue. They paint around the umbrella taped to the back.
Zeke says, SNOUT AND I BOTH HAVE THE SAME FAVOURITE COLOUR. BLUE!
Louisa asks, WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF THAT?
Zeke puts Snout in front of the house and covers Snout’s eyes.
Zeke and Louisa countdown, THREE, TWO, ONE.
Zeke uncovers Snout’s eyes.
He and Louisa say, TAH-DAH!
Buttons and drawings decorate the rooms in the house.
Zeke asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK, SNOUT?
He moves Snout’s arms.
Zeke says, SNOUT SAYS HE LOVES IT! HE SAYS IT'S WAY BETTER THAN THE HOUSE IN MR. E'S STORE BECAUSE WE CREATED IT!
Louisa picks up Snout. Zeke hugs them both.
Louisa says, WE WORKED IT OUT JUST FOR YOU!
She moves Snout from the bathroom through the door to the kitchen and passes him to Zeke. In the bedroom, Zeke passes Snout back to Louisa and Louisa puts Snout in the hammock.
[Zeke imitating snoring]
Louisa says, HE FELL ASLEEP?!
Zeke says, HE'S TIRED, CREATING A HOUSE IS A LOT OF WORK.
[Louisa yawning]
Louisa asks, HOW DID I NOT KNOW THAT?
She and Zeke smile.
[Upbeat music plays]
At the beach on a sunny day, Clyde and Cece build a sandcastle. Clyde adds a piece of seaweed to the castle.
Cece sings, WE'RE BUILDING SANDCASTLES SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS AND WORKING SO HARD TO PROTECT THEM FROM THE WAVES.
Cece adds a flag to a castle. Carly joins her siblings and adds a shell.
Cece, Clyde and Carly sing, WE BETTER MOVE FAST OR OUR CASTLES WILL COLLAPSE!
A wave rushes onto the shore. Carly runs away. The wave knocks down the sandcastle and splashes into Clyde and Cece. It buries Clyde and Cece in the sand. A beach ball bounces over them.
[Splashing]
The three crab siblings jump out from the sand.
They sing, OH NO, BOO-HOO, NOW WHAT CAN WE DO?
Clyde looks thoughtful.
He sings, TO MAKE A NEW CASTLE LET'S CREATE, TEST, AND PROVE.
Cece sings, WE NEED TO FIND A WAY TO PROTECT OUR CASTLE FROM THE WAVES.
Carly scurries up to a new sandcastle.
She sings, TO KEEP THE WATER OUT WE'LL BUILD A SANDY WALL IF THE WATER CAN'T GET IN OUR CASTLE MIGHT NOT FALL.

[Water rushing]
A wave knocks down the wall and castle. Clyde, Cece and Carly stare at the pile of sand that remains.
They sing, OH NO, BOO-HOO, NOW WHAT CAN WE DO?
Clyde hops over to the pile of sand.
He sings, TO MAKE A NEW CASTLE LET'S CREATE, TEST, AND PROVE.
Cece and Carly join their brother.
Cece sings, WE NEED TO FIND A WAY TO PROTECT OUR CASTLE FROM THE WAVES.
Clyde stands beside a sandcastle.
He sings, HERE'S A GOOD IDEA, EVERYONE TAKE NOTE, OUR LITTLE WALL DIDN'T WORK, WHAT IF WE DIG A MOAT? WILL IT WORK?
Clyde digs a deep moat around the castle and joins his siblings.
Carly sings, WILL IT WORK?
The siblings look worried. Another wave rushes in.
[Water rushing]
The water spills into the moat.
The siblings sing, THE MOAT HELD THE WATER BACK, SAVED OUR CASTLE FROM THE TIDE.
The castle remains standing.
The siblings sing, IT WORKED!
They swim in the moat wearing sunglasses.
They sing, IT REALLY, REALLY WORKED!
The siblings hold up their sunglasses and smile.
[Light, cheerful music plays]
Zadie reads a title card.
She says, JUNJUN’S BRAIN FREEZE.
Text reads, “Written by Sofia Geck. Directed by Jeff Barker.”
[Cheerful music plays]
Outside the Treebourhood, Gabriella and Duffy relax in lounge chairs. Zeke and Louisa run around.
[Zeke giggling]
Louisa says, ZOOM!
She and Zeke do cartwheels. In JunJun’s house at the top of the Treebourhood, a view from a camera shows Kaya adjusting the angle.
Kaya says, TESTING, TESTING. CAMERA IS READY. CLAPPER?
Zadie snaps a clapboard.
[Snapping]
Kaya asks, QUESTION ASKER?
JunJun holds a homemade microphone. He taps a sparkly ball attached to a cardboard roll.
JunJun says, SUPER READY!
Kaya says, OKAY, EVERYONE IS HERE. YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE IS HERE?
She points toward the window.
Kaya, JunJun and Zadie say, SPRINGTIME!
Bees flutter around flowers in a box on the window.
Kaya, JunJun and Zadie cheer, HOORAY!
Kaya says, IF WE'RE GOING TO MAKE A HOORAY FOR SPRING VIDEO, WE'VE GOT TO DO IT RIGHT.
JunJun and Zadie nod.
Kaya says, FIRST, WE NEED TO FIND SOMEONE TO BE IN OUR VIDEO. THEN, WHEN I SAY "ACTION," YOU SAY...
Zadie says, TAKE ONE!
She claps the clapboard.
Into his microphone, JunJun says, AND THEN I ASK THE QUESTION.
[JunJun speaking Tagalog]
JunJun asks, COULD YOU PLEASE TELL US YOUR FAVOURITE SPRINGTIME SOUND?
Kaya says, YOU GOT IT! LET'S ROLL, EVERYONE!
Zadie follows Kaya and JunJun outside. They all ride down a slide.
They cheer, YAY! WHOO-HOO!
They slide down branches of the Treebourhood tree.
JunJun cheers, YEAH!
Kaya cheers, YAY!
Zadie cheers, WHEE!
JunJun cheers, WHOO-HOO!
[Cheering continues]
Zadie, JunJun and Kaya slide out of a tunnel. Kaya and JunJun fly toward Ellie’s house.
From close by, Ellie cheers, YIPPEE!
Kaya drops to her feet and turns toward JunJun. JunJun flies into her. Rolling like a ball, Zadie bumps into JunJun. They both stumble to the ground.
[Grunting]
Ellie cheers, WHOO!
Kaya looks around and asks, DO YOU HEAR SOMETHING?
Zadie asks, YOU MEAN THIS?
She snaps the clapboard.
[Snapping]
Kaya says, NO, NOT THAT, LISTEN.
From close by, Ellie cheers, WHOO-HOO!
Zadie, JunJun and Kaya look around.
Ellie cheers, YIPPEE!
Zadie, JunJun and Kaya look up. On the roof, Ellie rappels down to a balcony on a rope. She wears a safety harness and helmet.
Ellie cheers, YEAH!
[Ellie laughing]
Ellie says, THIS IS AWESOME!
JunJun says, IT'S ELLIE! LET'S SEE IF SHE'LL BE IN OUR VIDEO.
Kaya calls up, ELLIE, ELLIE, WAIT UP!
Ellie swings down the side of her house.
She says, MORNING. I'M PRACTICING MY ROPE RESCUING. ANYONE HERE NEED A RESCUE?
Ellie rappels down to Zadie, JunJun and Kaya’s level.
Kaya says, NOT A RESCUE, BUT CAN WE ASK YOU A QUESTION FOR OUR VIDEO ABOUT SPRING?
Ellie swings past Zadie, JunJun and Kaya.
She says, SURE THING! BUT PLEASE ASK IT FAST. MY ARMS ARE GETTING TIRED!
Ellie flips upside down.
[Ellie grunting]
[Ellie chuckling]
Kaya says, THIS WILL TAKE TWO SECONDS. READY, TEAM?
Zadie and Junjun say, YES!
Kaya says, AND ACTION!
She starts recording Ellie with her phone. Zadie steps in front of Kaya and snaps the clapboard.
Zadie says, TAKE ONE!
She steps back. Ellie waves. JunJun steps forward and nervously taps his microphone.
JunJun says, UH... UH...
Sweat drips down his face and his feathers puff out.
[JunJun gasping]
Ellie slips down her rope.
[Ellie grunting]
Zadie whispers, JUNJUN. ASK THE QUESTION.
Kaya says, QUICK, BEFORE SHE SLIPS ANYMORE!
Ellie slips further down her rope.
She yelps, AH, WHOA!
JunJun runs over to a bush at the end of Ellie’s rope.
From the bush, Ellie says, I'M ALL GOOD!
Zadie and Kaya run over.
Ellie says, SORRY, YOU'LL HAVE TO ASK ME LATER.
She climbs up her rope. Zadie, JunJun and Kaya wave.
Kaya asks, WHAT HAPPENED, JUNJUN? ARE YOU OKAY?
JunJun shakes his head and straightens his feathers.
He says, I DON'T KNOW, I GOT A LITTLE NERVOUS, AND THEN I FORGOT WHAT TO SAY.
JunJun looks disappointed.
Kaya says, THAT'S OKAY, I GET NERVOUS TOO SOMETIMES. LET'S FIND SOMEBODY ELSE TO ASK A QUESTION.
[Zadie gasping]
Zadie says, I BET WE COULD FIND SOMEONE AT THE CREATION STATION!
JunJun says, YOU BET.
He, Kaya and Zadie leave. On the Creation Station upper balcony, they look around.
Zadie says, HUH, I WAS THINKING WE COULD ASK LEIKO, BUT I DON'T SEE HER.
Kaya looks over the railing.
She says, HERE SHE COMES!
On the lower balcony, Leiko pushes a cart of books into the elevator.
Kaya says, PLACES, EVERYONE! I'M GOING TO GET A REALLY COOL SHOT FROM BELOW.
The trio split up.
Below, Kaya says, AND ACTION!
She starts recording.
Zadie jumps in front of Kaya and says, TAKE ONE!
She snaps the clapboard.
[Snapping]
On the upper balcony, Leiko walks out of the elevator.
Leiko says, MORNING, ZADIE!
At the upper balcony door, JunJun taps the microphone and smiles confidently. Leiko walks up with the cart.
JunJun says, UH, UM...
He looks away and his feathers puff out.
Leiko says, HEY, JUNJUN, WHAT'S UP?
She walks past JunJun.
JunJun says, UH, UH...
[JunJun sighing sadly]
Zadie lowers her phone and says, CUT.
JunJun straightens his feathers. Kaya flies to his side.
Kaya asks, WHY DIDN'T YOU ASK THE QUESTION?
JunJun says, I…I GOT NERVOUS AGAIN, AND JUST WENT "POOF."
Zadie rolls like a ball over to JunJun and Kaya.
JunJun says, I COULDN'T HELP IT.
He lowers his gaze.
Zadie says, LEIKO MADE YOU NERVOUS? BUT YOU TALK TO HER ALL THE TIME.
JunJun says, IT'S NOT LEIKO, IT'S THAT. THE CAMERA. WHEN IT'S ON, I SUDDENLY THINK THE WHOLE TREEBOURHOOD WILL BE WATCHING THIS VIDEO! WATCHING ME!
JunJun imagines other residents from the Treebourhood including Grandma Super, Mr. E, Sammy and Quique as well as Amado and Gabriela watching a video.
JunJun says, I GET SO NERVOUS, IT'S LIKE MY BRAIN FREEZES AND I CAN'T EVEN TALK! BUT I'M SUPPOSED TO BE THE QUESTION-ASKER. WHAT CAN I DO?
Kaya says, EVERYONE GETS NERVOUS SOMETIMES. WE'LL JUST WORK OUT A WAY TO HELP YOU RELAX.
JunJun smiles. Zadie looks thoughtful.
She says, HMM... AH-HAH! I HAVE A PLAN. FOLLOW ME!
Kaya and JunJun follow Zadie to another part of the Treebourhood.
Zadie says, I TOOK THIS CLASS WITH QUIQUE CALLED "BELLY BREATHING FOR BUSY BRAINS." SOMETIMES, WHEN MY BRAIN IS ALL NOISY OR NERVOUS INSIDE, I FIND SOME PLACE QUIET, SIT LIKE THIS, AND BREATHE.
Zadie sits with her legs crossed and practices breathing deeply.
[Zadie inhaling and exhaling deeply]
At a tunnel, Kaya and JunJun share a smile and sit down with Zadie.
Zadie says, BELLY BREATHING HELPS ME RELAX. SO IT MIGHT HELP YOU, TOO.
[Zadie inhaling deeply]
[Kaya and JunJun inhaling deeply]
Zadie, Kaya and JunJun hold their breath. Zadie counts to three with her fingers and exhales.
[Zadie exhaling loudly]
[Kaya and JunJun exhaling]
JunJun says, THAT WAS PRETTY RELAXING. THANKS, ZADIE, I'LL TRY IT.
A glob of pink goop lands between Zadie and JunJun.
[Splashing]
Zadie looks up.
From above, Quique yells, LOOK OUT BELOW!
Zadie, Kaya and JunJun quickly leave their seats. More goop hits the floor.
[Splashing]
Zadie, Kaya and JunJun peak out of the tunnel and look around. They join Quique at a worktable on his goop-covered balcony.
Quique says, OOH, SORRY ABOUT THE GOOP. IT'S A NEW LAVA LAMP RECIPE.
Kaya says, NO WORRIES, QUIQUE. HEY, WOULD YOU BE IN OUR HOORAY FOR SPRING VIDEO?
Zadie says, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ANSWER JUNJUN'S QUESTION.
Quique says, SURE THING, ASK AWAY.
JunJun walks up to Quique and holds up his microphone.
JunJun says, WAIT JUST ONE SEC. I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING FIRST.
He sits with his legs crossed.
JunJun says, TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND HOLD IT.
[JunJun inhaling deeply]
JunJun briefly holds his breath.
[JunJun exhaling]
JunJun says, NOW I'M READY.
He stands and Kaya starts recording.
Kaya says, ACTION!
Zadie says, TAKE ONE!
She snaps the clapboard in front of JunJun.
[Snapping]
JunJun taps and raises his microphone.
He says, UH...
His feathers puff out.
Quique says, OOH-WEE, LOVE THE NEW LOOK!
JunJun frowns and lowers his gaze.
Kaya whispers, ZADIE, HELP HIM OUT!
Zadie walks over to JunJun and takes the microphone. JunJun steps back.
She says, UH, QUIQUE, CAN YOU TELL US YOUR FAVOURITE SPRINGTIME SOUND?
Quique leans toward the microphone.
He says, WELL, I LOVE BASEBALL, SO... WHACKING A GOOD HOME RUN!
Quique imagines hitting a baseball with a bat.
[Ball thudding against a bat]
Kaya says, CUT, WE DID IT!
Zadie does a handstand.
[Zadie laughing]
Kaya cheers, OH YEAH!
JunJun looks disappointed.
Zadie cheers, WHOO!
Kaya cheers, OH YEAH!
[Zadie giggling]
Zadie and Kaya cheer, YES!
They high-five. JunJun straightens his feathers.
Zadie says, HIGH-FIVE, JUNJUN!
She raises her paw. JunJun ignores her and walks away.
Zadie says, HUH?
She follows JunJun.
Zadie says, WHERE ARE YOU GOING, JUNJUN? WE DID IT!
[JunJun sighing sadly]
Zadie frowns.
JunJun says, I DIDN'T DO IT. YOU DID IT. YOU MADE IT LOOK SO EASY. WHY CAN'T I ASK THE QUESTION LIKE THAT?
Zadie says, SO, THE BREATHING DIDN'T HELP?
JunJun says, NOPE, THE MINUTE THE CAMERA WENT ON, MY BRAIN FROZE UP.
Kaya flies over and says, I HAVE ANOTHER PLAN YOU CAN TRY? A POWER POSE.
JunJun says, A WHAT?
Kaya says, WHEN I'M ABOUT TO DO SOMETHING SUPER IMPORTANT, I NEED TO FEEL SUPER IMPORTANT. SO, I...
[Drumroll]
Kaya says, ...POWER UP!
She jumps and strikes a pose like a superhero with her hands on her hips.
[Celebratory music plays]
Kaya says, TAH-DAH!
Zadie and JunJun says, SO COOL!
Kaya stands in front of Zadie and JunJun in her power pose.
She says, WHEN I DO MY POWER POSE, I FEEL LIKE I CAN DO ANYTHING. BYE-BYE, NERVOUSNESS, HELLO CONFIDENCE! SO, MAYBE IT CAN HELP YOU TOO, JUNJUN.
JunJun looks nervous.
He says, LET'S TRY IT. COME ON, ZADIE!
[Drumroll]
JunJun sings, DAT-DA-DA-DA!
He, Zadie and Kaya jump and strike their power poses. JunJun spreads his arms and raises one knee. Zadie raises her fist.
[Celebratory music plays]
From his room, Sammy watches Zadie, JunJun and Kaya through a window.
Sammy says, WOW, ARE YOU PLAYING SUPERHEROES?
Zadie, JunJun and Kaya jump around in their power poses.
Sammy asks, CAN I PLAY?
Zadie, JunJun and Kaya notice Sammy in the window.
Kaya says, OH, HI, SAMMY. WE'RE NOT PLAYING, WE'RE FILMING A VIDEO.
Zadie says, BUT WE COULD USE YOUR HELP.
Sammy says, YAY!
He leaves the window. Later on the balcony, Quique packs bottles of lava lamp mixture into a box at the table.
JunJun says, ALMOST READY, SAMMY. JUST HAVE TO DO ONE THING FIRST!
Sammy smiles.
JunJun quietly says to himself, REMEMBER WHAT KAYA SAID. ACT CONFIDENT.
JunJun loudly says, POWER UP!
He jumps into his power pose.
Kaya says, ACTION!
She starts recording. Zadie steps in front of her with the clapboard.
Zadie says, TAKE ONE!
She snaps the board and steps back.
[Snapping]
JunJun looks nervous.
He looks at Sammy and says, UH... UH...
JunJun’s feathers puff out.
[Sammy yelping]
Sammy jumps in fright. He lands on the table of lava lamp mixture bottles and knocks the box into the air. A bottle hits the tree and bursts open.
[Banging]
[Splashing]
Quique ducks away from a bottle. Kaya and Zadie dodge another. JunJun looks around. Lava lamp goo covers the balcony. JunJun lowers his gaze.
JunJun says, SORRY, I DIDN'T MEAN TO.
He straightens his feathers.
JunJun says, I CAN'T DO THIS.
He puts his microphone on the table and walks away. Kaya and Zadie watch him leave. Elsewhere in the Treebourhood, on a branch, JunJun plays his guitar.
[Guitar music plays]
JunJun sings, WHY, OH WHY CAN'T I ASK THE QUESTION? WHY, OH WHY DO I FREEZE?
From close by, Kaya says, FINALLY, WE'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU EVERYWHERE!
She walks across a path with Zadie. JunJun looks away.
JunJun says, I'M GOOD UP HERE, YOU CAN FINISH THE VIDEO WITHOUT ME.
Zadie says, NAH-UH, WE CAN'T FINISH THE VIDEO WITHOUT OUR QUESTION ASKER.
JunJun says, YOU SHOULD BE THE QUESTION-ASKER, ZADIE. YOU'RE REALLY GOOD AT IT.
Kaya says, AS BOTH THE DIRECTOR AND YOUR BIG SISTER, I KNOW YOU CAN DO THIS.
JunJun says, I CAN'T DO IT! I'VE TRIED BELLY BREATHING.
[JunJun inhaling deeply]
JunJun briefly holds his breath.
[JunJun exhaling]
JunJun says, I’VE TRIED A POWER POSE.
He strikes his power pose.

Kaya flies over to JunJun on the branch. Zadie crawls over to the other side of him.

She plays a video of JunJun playing his guitar in front of a crowd.

The video shows Zadie and Malik in the crowd.
In the video, Zadie cheers, YAY! WHOO-HOO!
Kaya says, IF YOU CAN SING ONSTAGE IN FRONT OF THAT MANY PEOPLE, YOU CAN DEFINITELY BE A QUESTION-ASKER.
JunJun says, BUT THAT'S DIFFERENT. I'M NEVER NERVOUS SINGING. I JUST OPEN MY BEAK AND...
JunJun loudly sings, SING!
Kaya and Zadie smile.
Kaya says, I'VE GOT A PLAN. FORGET THE BREATHING AND THE POWER POSING.
Zadie says, JUST DO WHAT ALREADY WORKS FOR YOU.
JunJun says, YOU MEAN...
He glances at his guitar.
He says, OH, SINGING! I CAN SING MY QUESTION INSTEAD!
JunJun plays his guitar.
[Guitar music plays]
JunJun sings, ZADIE, I'VE GOT A QUESTION TO SING.
He glances at Zadie, and she nods. Zadie offers JunJun his microphone.
JunJun takes the microphone and says, OKAY, TEAM, WE'RE BACK IN ACTION!
Kaya and Zadie grin.
[Upbeat music plays]
Elsewhere in the Treebourhood, Ellie climbs through leaves with her rope.
Ellie says, HI!
She reaches her house and smiles at Kaya, Zadie and JunJun.
Ellie says, AGAIN! DID YOU WANT TO ASK ME SOMETHING EARLIER?
JunJun and Zadie look at Kaya.
Kaya says, ACTION!
Zadie says, TAKE ONE!
She snaps the clapboard in front of Kaya.
[Snapping]
Zadie steps back. JunJun steps forward and taps his microphone.
JunJun sings, ELLIE, I'VE GOT A QUESTION TO SING, WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE SOUND OF SPRING?
Ellie says, OH, GOOD ONE!
She swings closer to JunJun.
Ellie says, I'D SAY... THE SOUND OF RAINDROPS ON MY ROOF.
She imagines sleeping in bed while it rains outside.
Ellie says, IT MAKES ME FEEL ALL COZY.
Kaya says, WHOO-WHEE! THAT WAS PERFECT, JUNJUN!
JunJun says, I DID IT, I REALLY DID IT!
He flies in a loop in front of Ellie’s house.
JunJun says, I FINALLY ASKED THE QUESTION! LET'S GO DO SOME MORE. BYE, ELLIE!
Ellie waves. JunJun flies past her and spins her upside down with his wing. Zadie and Kaya follow JunJun and Ellie stops spinning.
[Ellie laughing]
Ellie flips upright and waves. She climbs further up her rope. At the Creation Station, JunJun bursts through the door with Zadie and Kaya.
JunJun says, LEIKO, LEIKO!
[Leiko yelping]
Leiko stumbles and knocks books off a shelf.
She says, OH!
Leiko spots JunJun, Kaya and Zadie at the door.
She whispers, SHH, CAREFUL. IT'S HUSH-HUSH READING HOUR.
Leiko points toward Mr. E reading a book on the floor.
JunJun whispers, SORRY. COULD I ASK YOU A QUESTION FOR A VIDEO WE'RE MAKING?
Leiko quietly says, OF COURSE, JUST QUIETLY.
JunJun and Zadie turn to Kaya.
Kaya quietly says, ACTION.
Zadie steps in front of her and softly snaps the clapboard.
Zadie quietly says, TAKE ONE.
[Quiet snapping]
JunJun softly sings, LEIKO, I'VE GOT A QUESTION TO SING, WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE SOUND OF SPRING?
Leiko quietly says, HMM, LET ME THINK.
[Leiko gasping]
Leiko says, AH-HAH!
Later in the day, Kaya watches her video of Leiko and JunJun.
In the video, Leiko says, IT HAS TO BE THAT CRUNCH WHEN I BITE INTO DUFFY'S SPRING STRAWBERRY SALAD. MMM!
Kaya stops the video. At night in her room, Kaya stands beside Zadie.
Kaya says, TIME TO POST OUR VIDEO TO THE TREEBOURHOOD NEWSLETTER.
Zadie says, OH, OH! CAN I PLEASE PUSH THE BUTTON?
Kaya offers Zadie the phone and Zadie taps the screen.
[Phone dinging]
Zadie says, NOW THAT'S A GREAT SOUND, DING!
Kaya says, WE WORKED IT OUT!
Zadie and Kaya cheer, YES!
They high-five.
Kaya says, HEY, WE NEVER ASKED EACH OTHER ABOUT OUR FAVOURITE SPRINGTIME SOUNDS. WHAT'S YOURS?
Zadie says, THAT'S EASY, IT'S WHEN I JUMP IN A PUDDLE AND IT GOES, "SPLOOSH!"
She imagines herself jumping in a puddle.
[Splashing]
Zadie asks, WHAT ABOUT YOU?
Kaya says, I'LL SHOW YOU.
She leads Zadie to her open window.
[Gentle guitar music plays]
Outside, JunJun sings, ASKING QUESTIONS ISN'T EASY WHEN YOU'RE NERVOUS AND BRAIN-FREEZY.
On a branch, JunJun plays his guitar.
JunJun sings, ZADIE AND KAYA HAD MY BACK. THEY TRIED TO HELP ME TO RELAX. NOW I KNOW JUST WHAT TO DO, WHEN I'M NERVOUS I'LL SING TO YOU.
JunJun smiles.

A staircase spirals around the tree trunk of the Treeborhood. Tiny houses are nestled in the tree. In the Wombat’s house, Malik, a blue-grey wombat; Zadie, a purple wombat; and Zeke, a yellow wombat, sleep in hammocks. They wake up, jump out of their hammocks, and high-five each other. Their grandmother, Super, a blue wombat with pink hair, pours milk and breakfast cereal into their bowls. Zeke holds his stuffed wombat, Snout. The children leave the house and slide across tree branches.
The siblings sing, WHEN THERE'S A PROBLEM WHAT DO WE SAY? WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT WORK IT OUT WOMBATS!
Other residents of the Treebourhood smile and wave at the siblings.

She drags Zeke through the store.

Zeke frowns. Louisa pulls him to another part of the store. She and Zeke look up at a large doll house.
Zeke says, A SHRUNKEN HOUSE? HOW DID IT GET SO SMALL? DID A WIZARD DO IT, OR MAYBE A SHRINK RAY?
Louisa says, IT'S NOT A SHRUNKEN HOUSE! DID YOU NOT KNOW? THIS IS A DOLL HOUSE! IT'S A PLACE FOR DOLLS AND STUFFIES TO PLAY IN.
Different levels of the dollhouse have different rooms, including a living room, a bathroom and a bedroom.
Louisa says, YOU SHOULD GET THIS ONE FOR SNOUT!
Zeke holds Snout up to his ear.
[Snout quietly squeaking]
Zeke says, SNOUT WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE THAT HOUSE.
Louisa yells, MR. E!
Mr. E runs over to Zeke and Louisa.
Louisa says, ZEKE AND I WOULD LIKE TO BUY THAT DOLL HOUSE PLEASE!
Mr. E says, WONDERFUL, IT COSTS 50 MONIES.
Louisa says, 50 MONIES?!
She and Zeke look shocked. They share a worried look.
Louisa asks, HOW MUCH HAVE YOU GOT, ZEKE?
Zeke reaches into his pocket.
He says, TWO MARBLES AND A LINT BALL.
Louisa pulls a lollipop out of her pocket.
She says, AND ONE LOLLIPOP. THAT SHOULD DO IT. RIGHT, MR. E?
Mr. E says, I'M AFRAID WE DON'T ACCEPT LINT OR LOLLIPOPS AS PAYMENT.
LOUISA.
Zeke and Louisa sigh, AWW.
Mr. E says, NOW, EXCUSE ME. I HAVE TO GET BACK TO WORK. THERE ARE CARDBOARD BOXES I NEED TO RECYCLE BEFORE IT STARTS RAINING. WE ALL KNOW CARDBOARD AND WATER DON'T MIX.
Mr. E walks away.
Zeke says, I LOVE CARDBOARD BOXES! YOU CAN MAKE ANYTHING OUT OF THEM. COME ON!
He grabs Louisa’s hand and pulls her outside. Zeke and Louisa run around the store and meet Mr. E at the recycling bin. Mr. E tosses a stack of cardboard boxes onto the bin and returns to the store.
Zeke says, I HAVE AN IDEA. WHAT IF WE USED THOSE BOXES TO MAKE A HOUSE FOR SNOUT?
He imagines the cardboard boxes as a dollhouse.
Louisa says, THAT'S EVEN MORE FUN THAN BUYING ONE! PLUS, I GET TO KEEP MY LOLLIPOP.
She holds up her lollipop.
Louisa yells, MR. E!
Mr. E runs outside.
Zeke asks, HOW MUCH DO THESE BOXES COST?
Mr. E says, OH, UH, YOU CAN HAVE THEM FOR FREE.
Louisa says, NOW THAT'S A BARGAIN.
Zeke says, LET'S PRETEND TO BE RECYCLING TRUCKS AND TAKE THE BOXES TO MY HOUSE. VROOM, VROOM! BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP.
He backs up with his arms stretched toward the boxes. Mr. E watches with surprise. Zeke picks up a stack of boxes.
Zeke says, VOOM, VROOM!
Louisa backs up toward the recycling bin.
Mr. E waves and says, GOOD DAY, ENJOY YOUR BOXES.
Louisa looks annoyed.
She says, DID YOU NOT KNOW RECYCLING TRUCKS DON'T TALK?
Mr. E frowns.
Louisa says, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP!
She picks up two boxes and walks away. Mr. E shrugs. Later in the Treebourhood, it rains.
[Rain spattering]
In the living room at Zeke’s house, Zeke picks up a wet cardboard box.
Zeke says, GOOD THING WE GOT BACK BEFORE IT STARTED RAINING TOO HARD. ONLY ONE BOX GOT WET.
He gently squeezes the box, and it flattens in his paws. Louisa holds Snout up to her ear.
Louisa says, MM-HMM, YEP, OKAY.
She nods.
Louisa says, SNOUT SAYS HE WANTS HIS HOUSE TO HAVE A MOVIE THEATRE, A POOL, A SKATING RINK, AND AN ELEVATOR.
Zeke crosses his arms and says, HE DID NOT SAY THAT!
Louisa says, HE DID TOO!
Zeke holds up Snout and imagines Snout outside a small house.
Zeke says, HE JUST WANTS A COZY LITTLE HOUSE WITH A LIVING ROOM, A KITCHEN, A BATHROOM, AND A BEDROOM.
Zeke imagines Snout sitting in a chair with a book in a living room, holding a frying pan in a kitchen, having a bubble bath in a bathroom and lying in bed in a bedroom.
Louisa says, WELL, IT'S YOUR HOUSE, SNOUT. LET'S BUILD IT!
Zeke says, SAFETY FIRST!
He puts a box on his head.
Zeke says, GRANDMA SUPER ALWAYS PUTS ON A CONSTRUCTION HAT WHEN SHE'S BUILDING SOMETHING.
Louisa puts a box on her head.
[Louisa grunting]
Zeke holds up Snout.
He says, SNOUT WOULD LIKE TO CREATE THE BEDROOM FIRST, SO IF HE GETS TIRED, HE CAN TAKE A NAP.
Louisa looks around.
She picks up a small box and says, THIS BOX LOOKS LIKE A GOOD SIZE FOR SNOUT. I'M GOING TO HAVE SNOUT TEST IT OUT.
Louisa stuffs Snout into the small box. Zeke takes the box from Louisa.
Zeke says, SNOUT SAYS…
He squishes his cheeks together.
Zeke says, "THIS BOX IS TOO SMALL, I'M SMOOSHED."
He lets go of his cheeks.
Zeke says, WE NEED TO IMPROVE IT. LET'S TEST THIS BIGGER BOX!
He holds up a bigger box and then stands it up on the floor. Zeke puts Snout in the tall box.
Louisa asks, DO YOU LIKE IT, SNOUT?
Zeke kneels beside Snout and holds his paw to his ear.
Zeke says, HE'S THINKING.
He nods.
Zeke says, SNOUT SAYS WE NEED TO IMPROVE IT. IT'S THE RIGHT SIZE, BUT IT'S TOO EMPTY.
Louisa says, DID YOU NOT KNOW IT'S NOT A BEDROOM YET BECAUSE WE HAVEN'T MADE A PLACE FOR YOU TO SLEEP?
Zeke says, LET'S CREATE ONE!
He pulls a purple shoe box out from under the nearby couch.
Zeke says, THIS IS MY HIDDEN TREASURE BOX OF STUFF I FOUND.
He opens the box full of items including a button, an onion bag, a coin and a towel.
Zeke says, WE CAN USE IT TO CREATE FURNITURE. LOOK!
She and Zeke reach toward the box. Louisa grabs the onion bag.
Louisa says, AN OLD ONION BAG! HMM. WE COULD CREATE A HAMMOCK OUT OF THIS!
She holds the onion bag like a hammock.
Louisa says, LIKE THE ONE YOU SLEEP IN!
Zeke frowns and says, I WAS GOING TO SAY THAT.
He crosses his arms. Kneeling on either side of the box, Zeke and Louisa hang the onion bag hammock inside. Zeke puts Snout in the hammock.
Zeke says, SNOUT IS GOING TO TEST IT OUT.
Louisa claps.
Zeke says, HE LIKES HIS HAMMOCK VERY MUCH!
Louisa nods.
Zeke says, SNOUT SAYS HE NEEDS A SNACK BEFORE BED, SO, HE NEEDS A KITCHEN.
Louisa says, OKIE-DOKEY.
She looks at the other boxes scattered around the room. She grabs one of the boxes and tosses it aside.
Louisa smiles and says, THIS LOOKS LIKE A GOOD BOX FOR THE KITCHEN!
She picks up a box with a knife and fork icon on the bottom.
Louisa says, IT HAS FORKS AND KNIVES ON IT.
She puts the box on the floor beside the bedroom box. Zeke puts a small white box inside it.
Zeke says, AND THIS LITTLE BOX COULD BE THE REFRIGERATOR, BUT IT NEEDS SNOUT'S FAVOURITE SNACK.
Louisa grabs Snout and holds him up to her ear.
Louisa says, HE WANTS APPLESAUCE BECAUSE THAT'S MY FAVOURITE.
Zeke shakes his head and says, UH-UH, SNOUT'S FAVOURITE SNACK IS STRAWBERRY JAM. I'LL GET IT.
He rolls like a ball out of the room.
Louisa looks at Snout and says, YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE WITH THE APPLESAUCE.
Zeke returns with a spoon and a jar of strawberry jam. He passes the spoon to Louisa and Louisa scoops out a spoonful of jam.
Louisa says, TRY A BITE, SNOUT!
She holds the spoonful of jam up to Snout’s mouth and smears jam on his face.
Zeke says, HEY! YOU GOT JAM ON HIM!
He points at Louisa and puts down the jar of jam. Zeke grabs the towel out of his treasure box and wipes the jam off Snout.
Zeke says, SNOUT DOESN'T LIKE A JAMMY FACE.
He takes Snout away from Louisa.
Louisa says, SNOUT SURE IS MOODY.
Zeke says, HE IS NOT!
Louisa says, IS TOO.
She crosses her arms. Zeke carries Snout over to the boxes and puts the jam jar inside the kitchen box.
Zeke asks, DO YOU LIKE YOUR KITCHEN, SNOUT?
He tilts Snout’s head forward.
[Snout squeaking]
Zeke says, HE LIKES IT VERY MUCH!
He and Louisa smile and high-five.
Louisa says, SINCE SNOUT SPILLED JAM ON HIS FACE, HE'S GONNA NEED A BATH AFTER HIS SNACK.
Zeke frowns and says, HE DIDN'T SPILL JAM, YOU DID!
He glares at Louisa.
Louisa says, THAT DOESN'T MATTER, HE STILL NEEDS A BATHTUB.
She grabs a round cardboard box.
Louisa says, LET'S USE THIS ROUND CARDBOARD BOX. NOW WE NEED TO FILL THE BOX WITH WATER!
Zeke says, I DON'T THINK WE CAN. REMEMBER WHAT MR. E SAID? CARDBOARD AND WATER DON'T MIX. IF THE BATHTUB IS MADE OF CARDBOARD, IT WILL GET SOGGY LIKE THAT BOX.
Zeke glances at the wet, flattened cardboard box. He looks thoughtful.
He says, I KNOW!
Zeke cartwheels into the kitchen and leaps inside a cupboard.
[Clattering]
Zeke jumps out of another cupboard with a bowl on his head.
He says, I'M GOING TO TEST THIS PLASTIC BOWL!
Louisa takes the bowl from Zeke and fills it with water.
Zeke says, HEY, I WANTED TO DO THAT!
[Water sloshing]
Louisa taps the side of the bowl.
She says, IT WORKS! THE BOWL ISN'T SOGGY! I'LL PUT IT IN THE HOUSE.
Louisa runs toward the living room.
Zeke says, LOUISA, I WANT TO DO IT!
He runs after Louisa. In the living room, Louisa puts the bowl of water in a box on the floor under the kitchen box.
Zeke shouts, NO!
He dives under a cardboard box. Louisa walks over to the box with a worried look. She lightly knocks on the box.
[Knocking]
From inside the box, Zeke says, GO AWAY!
Louisa asks, WHAT'S WRONG?
Zeke angrily says, YOU'RE NOT LISTENING TO ME, I WANTED TO TEST THE BOWL! I WANTED TO MAKE THE HAMMOCK! AND SNOUT IS NOT MOODY!
Louisa drops her shoulders and rubs her arm.
She says, SORRY. I PROMISE I'LL DO BETTER.
Louisa knocks on the box.
[Knocking]
Louisa says, ZEKE, WHAT DOES SNOUT LIKE TO DO AFTER HE TAKES A BATH?
Zeke lifts the box.
He says, HE LIKES TO READ A BEDTIME STORY IN A COMFY CHAIR.
Louisa asks, WANT TO CREATE A LIVING ROOM FOR SNOUT TO READ IN?
Zeke stands and lets the box fall closed behind him.
He says, OKAY, YOU PICK OUT THE BOX FOR THE ROOM, AND I'LL MAKE THE COMFY CHAIR.
Louisa grabs a small box. Zeke grabs a small beanbag from his treasure box.
Zeke says, LOOK, A BEANBAG CHAIR!
Louisa puts her box on the floor. Zeke puts the beanbag inside.
Zeke says, TEST IT OUT, SNOUT!
He puts Snout on the beanbag and kneels beside the box.
Zeke asks, IS IT COMFY?
[Squeaking]
Zeke says, HE SAYS IT'S THE MOST COMFIEST CHAIR EVER IN THE WHOLE WORLD, LOUISA!
He stands.
Zeke asks, DO YOU WANT TO MAKE A BOOK FOR SNOUT TO READ?
Louisa says, YES!
She grabs a piece of paper and cuts it in half with a pair of scissors. Louisa draws Snout on a half piece of now-folded paper.
Louisa says, LOOK, IT'S A BOOK ABOUT YOU, SNOUT.
She puts the book in Snout’s lap.
Zeke says, HE SAYS IT'S A VERY GOOD BOOK.
He gives a thumbs-up.
Louisa says, BEDROOM, KITCHEN, BATHROOM, LIVING ROOM. WE CREATED ALL THE ROOMS SNOUT WANTED! TEST IT OUT, SNOUT.
Zeke puts Snout in the onion bag hammock and then pulls him back out.
Zeke says, UH-OH, SNOUT HAS A RUMBLY TUMMY. TIME FOR A SNACK!
He pushes Snout against the cardboard wall separating the bedroom and the kitchen in the cardboard house.
Zeke says, SNOUT CAN'T WALK THROUGH WALLS. WE NEED TO MAKE DOORS TO IMPROVE THE HOUSE!
He draws a rectangle on the cardboard wall and cuts out a door with scissors.
Louisa says, I'LL USE THE SCISSORS TO CUT A TRAP DOOR SO HE CAN GET DOWNSTAIRS TO TAKE A BATH.
She draws a circle on the floor of the kitchen and cuts out a trap door.
Zeke says, AND I'LL CUT OUT A DOOR TO THE LIVING ROOM SO HE CAN GET COMFY AND READ A BOOK.
He cuts a door between the living room and the bathroom.
Louisa says, TEST IT OUT, SNOUT!
Zeke moves Snout through the door in the bedroom and kitchen.
Louisa says, NOW HE CAN GO FROM ONE ROOM TO THE OTHER. WE IMPROVED IT!
Zeke leaves Snout by the trap door in the kitchen.
Zeke says, UH-OH, HOW IS HE SUPPOSED TO GET DOWNSTAIRS?
Louisa says, HMM... WITH A PARACHUTE?
She imagines Snout parachuting through the trap door.
Zeke says, SNOUT COULD USE A PARACHUTE TO GO DOWNSTAIRS, BUT HE CAN'T USE ONE TO GO BACK UPSTAIRS.
He imagines Snout jumping toward the trap door in the bathroom ceiling.
From outside, Ellie shouts, YAY!
[Ellie laughing]
Zeke and Louisa run to the window and look outside where it has stopped raining. They watch Ellie climb up and slide down a pole and bounce off a cushion at the bottom.
Ellie cheers, YAY!
[Ellie laughing]
Ellie slides down the pole.
Zeke and Louise say, A FIRE POLE!
Zeke grabs a straw and a wad of gum from his treasure box. He sticks the straw in the gum and the gum to the bathroom floor in the cardboard house.
Louisa says, COOL BEANS! SNOUT CAN USE THE STRAW SLIDE TO SLIDE DOWN, AND THEN GO UP, JUST LIKE ELLIE DOES. TEST IT OUT, SNOUT!
Zeke moves Snout up and down the straw fire pole. He moves Snout in and out of the kitchen and bathroom.
Zeke says, WE IMPROVED THE HOUSE!
He and Louisa dance. Louisa lies on her belly in front of the house.
Louisa says, WELCOME TO YOUR BRAND-NEW, CUSTOM-BUILT HOUSE, SNOUT!
She moves Snout through the different rooms of the house.
Louisa says, AS YOU CAN SEE, ZEKE AND I CREATED, TESTED AND IMPROVED EVERYTHING HERE TO MAKE YOUR FOREVER DREAM HOUSE!
She puts Snout in the bedroom hammock.
Zeke says, HE SAYS THERE'S ONE THING MISSING. SNOUT LIKES TO LOOK AT THE STARS IN THE STARLIGHT ROOF. SO HE'D LOVE TO LOOK AT THE STARS AT NIGHT IN HIS HAMMOCK. LET'S MAKE A WINDOW IN THE ROOF!
Zeke cuts an oval-shaped window in the roof above the bedroom.
He says, SNOUT SAYS HE STILL CAN'T SEE THE SKY.
Louisa asks, BECAUSE WHY NOT?
Zeke explains, STARS ARE OUTSIDE, NOT INSIDE, SO WE'VE GOTTA TAKE HIM OUTSIDE.
Louisa smiles and nods. She pulls the cardboard house outside on a wagon. Zeke follows close behind. Zeke and Louisa walk onto the porch, where it rains.
[Zeke and Louisa gasping]
Louisa says, RAIN.
Zeke says, THE HOUSE IS GETTING WET! CARDBOARD AND WATER DO NOT MIX! WAIT HERE, I HAVE A PLAN!
He grabs Snout and runs inside. Zeke puts Snout on the floor. He grabs an umbrella and some tape.
Zeke says, STAY RIGHT THERE, SNOUT. WE'RE TESTING SOMETHING OUT.
He runs outside. On the porch, he opens the umbrella over the now slightly wet cardboard house.
[Rain spattering]
Zeke says, WE CAN OPEN THE UMBRELLA IF IT'S RAINING, AND CLOSE IT WHEN SNOUT WANTS TO SEE THE STARS.
Louisa says, LET'S SEE IF SNOUT LIKES IT!
She grabs Snout from inside and puts him in the hammock. Louisa closes the umbrella.
Zeke says, AUGH, I'M GETTING WET! OPEN THE UMBRELLA!
Louisa opens the umbrella.
Zeke says, WE WORKED IT OUT, WE IMPROVED THE HOUSE!
He and Louisa dance. Inside, they stand on opposite sides of the cardboard house.
Zeke asks, WANT TO DECORATE IT NOW?
Louisa says, SURE!
Zeke puts Snout on the floor facing the wall.
Louisa says, DON'T WATCH US, SNOUT. WE WANT IT TO BE A SURPRISE. RIGHT, ZEKE?
Zeke straightens Snout and nods. He and Louisa paint the cardboard house blue. They paint around the umbrella taped to the back.
Zeke says, SNOUT AND I BOTH HAVE THE SAME FAVOURITE COLOUR. BLUE!
Louisa asks, WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF THAT?
Zeke puts Snout in front of the house and covers Snout’s eyes.
Zeke and Louisa countdown, THREE, TWO, ONE.
Zeke uncovers Snout’s eyes.
He and Louisa say, TAH-DAH!
Buttons and drawings decorate the rooms in the house.
Zeke asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK, SNOUT?
He moves Snout’s arms.
Zeke says, SNOUT SAYS HE LOVES IT! HE SAYS IT'S WAY BETTER THAN THE HOUSE IN MR. E'S STORE BECAUSE WE CREATED IT!
Louisa picks up Snout. Zeke hugs them both.
Louisa says, WE WORKED IT OUT JUST FOR YOU!
She moves Snout from the bathroom through the door to the kitchen and passes him to Zeke. In the bedroom, Zeke passes Snout back to Louisa and Louisa puts Snout in the hammock.
[Zeke imitating snoring]
Louisa says, HE FELL ASLEEP?!
Zeke says, HE'S TIRED, CREATING A HOUSE IS A LOT OF WORK.
[Louisa yawning]
Louisa asks, HOW DID I NOT KNOW THAT?
She and Zeke smile.
[Upbeat music plays]
At the beach on a sunny day, Clyde and Cece build a sandcastle. Clyde adds a piece of seaweed to the castle.
Cece sings, WE'RE BUILDING SANDCASTLES SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS AND WORKING SO HARD TO PROTECT THEM FROM THE WAVES.
Cece adds a flag to a castle. Carly joins her siblings and adds a shell.
Cece, Clyde and Carly sing, WE BETTER MOVE FAST OR OUR CASTLES WILL COLLAPSE!
A wave rushes onto the shore. Carly runs away. The wave knocks down the sandcastle and splashes into Clyde and Cece. It buries Clyde and Cece in the sand. A beach ball bounces over them.
[Splashing]
The three crab siblings jump out from the sand.
They sing, OH NO, BOO-HOO, NOW WHAT CAN WE DO?
Clyde looks thoughtful.
He sings, TO MAKE A NEW CASTLE LET'S CREATE, TEST, AND PROVE.
Cece sings, WE NEED TO FIND A WAY TO PROTECT OUR CASTLE FROM THE WAVES.
Carly scurries up to a new sandcastle.
She sings, TO KEEP THE WATER OUT WE'LL BUILD A SANDY WALL IF THE WATER CAN'T GET IN OUR CASTLE MIGHT NOT FALL.
The three siblings build a wall out of sand around the castle.
Carly sings, WILL IT WORK, CAN IT WORK? THIS WALL IS TOO SMALL.
[Water rushing]
A wave knocks down the wall and castle. Clyde, Cece and Carly stare at the pile of sand that remains.
They sing, OH NO, BOO-HOO, NOW WHAT CAN WE DO?
Clyde hops over to the pile of sand.
He sings, TO MAKE A NEW CASTLE LET'S CREATE, TEST, AND PROVE.
Cece and Carly join their brother.
Cece sings, WE NEED TO FIND A WAY TO PROTECT OUR CASTLE FROM THE WAVES.
Clyde stands beside a sandcastle.
He sings, HERE'S A GOOD IDEA, EVERYONE TAKE NOTE, OUR LITTLE WALL DIDN'T WORK, WHAT IF WE DIG A MOAT? WILL IT WORK?
Clyde digs a deep moat around the castle and joins his siblings.
Carly sings, WILL IT WORK?
The siblings look worried. Another wave rushes in.
[Water rushing]
The water spills into the moat.
The siblings sing, THE MOAT HELD THE WATER BACK, SAVED OUR CASTLE FROM THE TIDE.

Outside the Treebourhood, Gabriella and Duffy relax in lounge chairs. Zeke and Louisa run around.
[Zeke giggling]
Louisa says, ZOOM!
She and Zeke do cartwheels. In JunJun’s house at the top of the Treebourhood, a view from a camera shows Kaya adjusting the angle.
Kaya says, TESTING, TESTING. CAMERA IS READY. CLAPPER?
Zadie snaps a clapboard.
[Snapping]
Kaya asks, QUESTION ASKER?
JunJun holds a homemade microphone. He taps a sparkly ball attached to a cardboard roll.
JunJun says, SUPER READY!
Kaya says, OKAY, EVERYONE IS HERE. YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE IS HERE?
She points toward the window.
Kaya, JunJun and Zadie say, SPRINGTIME!
Bees flutter around flowers in a box on the window.
Kaya, JunJun and Zadie cheer, HOORAY!
Kaya says, IF WE'RE GOING TO MAKE A HOORAY FOR SPRING VIDEO, WE'VE GOT TO DO IT RIGHT.
JunJun and Zadie nod.
Kaya says, FIRST, WE NEED TO FIND SOMEONE TO BE IN OUR VIDEO. THEN, WHEN I SAY "ACTION," YOU SAY...
Zadie says, TAKE ONE!
She claps the clapboard.
Into his microphone, JunJun says, AND THEN I ASK THE QUESTION.
[JunJun speaking Tagalog]
JunJun asks, COULD YOU PLEASE TELL US YOUR FAVOURITE SPRINGTIME SOUND?
Kaya says, YOU GOT IT! LET'S ROLL, EVERYONE!
Zadie follows Kaya and JunJun outside. They all ride down a slide.
They cheer, YAY! WHOO-HOO!
They slide down branches of the Treebourhood tree.
JunJun cheers, YEAH!
Kaya cheers, YAY!
Zadie cheers, WHEE!
JunJun cheers, WHOO-HOO!
[Cheering continues]
Zadie, JunJun and Kaya slide out of a tunnel. Kaya and JunJun fly toward Ellie’s house.
From close by, Ellie cheers, YIPPEE!
Kaya drops to her feet and turns toward JunJun. JunJun flies into her. Rolling like a ball, Zadie bumps into JunJun. They both stumble to the ground.
[Grunting]
Ellie cheers, WHOO!
Kaya looks around and asks, DO YOU HEAR SOMETHING?
Zadie asks, YOU MEAN THIS?
She snaps the clapboard.
[Snapping]
Kaya says, NO, NOT THAT, LISTEN.
From close by, Ellie cheers, WHOO-HOO!
Zadie, JunJun and Kaya look around.
Ellie cheers, YIPPEE!
Zadie, JunJun and Kaya look up. On the roof, Ellie rappels down to a balcony on a rope. She wears a safety harness and helmet.
Ellie cheers, YEAH!
[Ellie laughing]
Ellie says, THIS IS AWESOME!
JunJun says, IT'S ELLIE! LET'S SEE IF SHE'LL BE IN OUR VIDEO.
Kaya calls up, ELLIE, ELLIE, WAIT UP!
Ellie swings down the side of her house.
She says, MORNING. I'M PRACTICING MY ROPE RESCUING. ANYONE HERE NEED A RESCUE?
Ellie rappels down to Zadie, JunJun and Kaya’s level.
Kaya says, NOT A RESCUE, BUT CAN WE ASK YOU A QUESTION FOR OUR VIDEO ABOUT SPRING?
Ellie swings past Zadie, JunJun and Kaya.
She says, SURE THING! BUT PLEASE ASK IT FAST. MY ARMS ARE GETTING TIRED!
Ellie flips upside down.
[Ellie grunting]
[Ellie chuckling]
Kaya says, THIS WILL TAKE TWO SECONDS. READY, TEAM?
Zadie and Junjun say, YES!
Kaya says, AND ACTION!
She starts recording Ellie with her phone. Zadie steps in front of Kaya and snaps the clapboard.
Zadie says, TAKE ONE!
She steps back. Ellie waves. JunJun steps forward and nervously taps his microphone.
JunJun says, UH... UH...
Sweat drips down his face and his feathers puff out.
[JunJun gasping]
Ellie slips down her rope.
[Ellie grunting]
Zadie whispers, JUNJUN. ASK THE QUESTION.
Kaya says, QUICK, BEFORE SHE SLIPS ANYMORE!
Ellie slips further down her rope.
She yelps, AH, WHOA!
JunJun runs over to a bush at the end of Ellie’s rope.
From the bush, Ellie says, I'M ALL GOOD!
Zadie and Kaya run over.
Ellie says, SORRY, YOU'LL HAVE TO ASK ME LATER.
She climbs up her rope. Zadie, JunJun and Kaya wave.
Kaya asks, WHAT HAPPENED, JUNJUN? ARE YOU OKAY?
JunJun shakes his head and straightens his feathers.
He says, I DON'T KNOW, I GOT A LITTLE NERVOUS, AND THEN I FORGOT WHAT TO SAY.
JunJun looks disappointed.
Kaya says, THAT'S OKAY, I GET NERVOUS TOO SOMETIMES. LET'S FIND SOMEBODY ELSE TO ASK A QUESTION.
[Zadie gasping]
Zadie says, I BET WE COULD FIND SOMEONE AT THE CREATION STATION!
JunJun says, YOU BET.
He, Kaya and Zadie leave. On the Creation Station upper balcony, they look around.
Zadie says, HUH, I WAS THINKING WE COULD ASK LEIKO, BUT I DON'T SEE HER.
Kaya looks over the railing.
She says, HERE SHE COMES!
On the lower balcony, Leiko pushes a cart of books into the elevator.
Kaya says, PLACES, EVERYONE! I'M GOING TO GET A REALLY COOL SHOT FROM BELOW.
The trio split up.
Below, Kaya says, AND ACTION!
She starts recording.
Zadie jumps in front of Kaya and says, TAKE ONE!
She snaps the clapboard.
[Snapping]
On the upper balcony, Leiko walks out of the elevator.
Leiko says, MORNING, ZADIE!
At the upper balcony door, JunJun taps the microphone and smiles confidently. Leiko walks up with the cart.
JunJun says, UH, UM...
He looks away and his feathers puff out.
Leiko says, HEY, JUNJUN, WHAT'S UP?
She walks past JunJun.
JunJun says, UH, UH...
[JunJun sighing sadly]
Zadie lowers her phone and says, CUT.
JunJun straightens his feathers. Kaya flies to his side.
Kaya asks, WHY DIDN'T YOU ASK THE QUESTION?
JunJun says, I…I GOT NERVOUS AGAIN, AND JUST WENT "POOF."
Zadie rolls like a ball over to JunJun and Kaya.
JunJun says, I COULDN'T HELP IT.
He lowers his gaze.
Zadie says, LEIKO MADE YOU NERVOUS? BUT YOU TALK TO HER ALL THE TIME.
JunJun says, IT'S NOT LEIKO, IT'S THAT. THE CAMERA. WHEN IT'S ON, I SUDDENLY THINK THE WHOLE TREEBOURHOOD WILL BE WATCHING THIS VIDEO! WATCHING ME!
JunJun imagines other residents from the Treebourhood including Grandma Super, Mr. E, Sammy and Quique as well as Amado and Gabriela watching a video.
JunJun says, I GET SO NERVOUS, IT'S LIKE MY BRAIN FREEZES AND I CAN'T EVEN TALK! BUT I'M SUPPOSED TO BE THE QUESTION-ASKER. WHAT CAN I DO?
Kaya says, EVERYONE GETS NERVOUS SOMETIMES. WE'LL JUST WORK OUT A WAY TO HELP YOU RELAX.
JunJun smiles. Zadie looks thoughtful.
She says, HMM... AH-HAH! I HAVE A PLAN. FOLLOW ME!
Kaya and JunJun follow Zadie to another part of the Treebourhood.
Zadie says, I TOOK THIS CLASS WITH QUIQUE CALLED "BELLY BREATHING FOR BUSY BRAINS." SOMETIMES, WHEN MY BRAIN IS ALL NOISY OR NERVOUS INSIDE, I FIND SOME PLACE QUIET, SIT LIKE THIS, AND BREATHE.
Zadie sits with her legs crossed and practices breathing deeply.
[Zadie inhaling and exhaling deeply]
At a tunnel, Kaya and JunJun share a smile and sit down with Zadie.
Zadie says, BELLY BREATHING HELPS ME RELAX. SO IT MIGHT HELP YOU, TOO.
[Zadie inhaling deeply]
[Kaya and JunJun inhaling deeply]
Zadie, Kaya and JunJun hold their breath. Zadie counts to three with her fingers and exhales.
[Zadie exhaling loudly]
[Kaya and JunJun exhaling]
JunJun says, THAT WAS PRETTY RELAXING. THANKS, ZADIE, I'LL TRY IT.
A glob of pink goop lands between Zadie and JunJun.
[Splashing]
Zadie looks up.
From above, Quique yells, LOOK OUT BELOW!
Zadie, Kaya and JunJun quickly leave their seats. More goop hits the floor.
[Splashing]
Zadie, Kaya and JunJun peak out of the tunnel and look around. They join Quique at a worktable on his goop-covered balcony.
Quique says, OOH, SORRY ABOUT THE GOOP. IT'S A NEW LAVA LAMP RECIPE.
Kaya says, NO WORRIES, QUIQUE. HEY, WOULD YOU BE IN OUR HOORAY FOR SPRING VIDEO?
Zadie says, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ANSWER JUNJUN'S QUESTION.
Quique says, SURE THING, ASK AWAY.
JunJun walks up to Quique and holds up his microphone.
JunJun says, WAIT JUST ONE SEC. I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING FIRST.
He sits with his legs crossed.
JunJun says, TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND HOLD IT.
[JunJun inhaling deeply]
JunJun briefly holds his breath.
[JunJun exhaling]
JunJun says, NOW I'M READY.
He stands and Kaya starts recording.
Kaya says, ACTION!
Zadie says, TAKE ONE!
She snaps the clapboard in front of JunJun.
[Snapping]
JunJun taps and raises his microphone.
He says, UH...
His feathers puff out.
Quique says, OOH-WEE, LOVE THE NEW LOOK!
JunJun frowns and lowers his gaze.
Kaya whispers, ZADIE, HELP HIM OUT!
Zadie walks over to JunJun and takes the microphone. JunJun steps back.
She says, UH, QUIQUE, CAN YOU TELL US YOUR FAVOURITE SPRINGTIME SOUND?
Quique leans toward the microphone.
He says, WELL, I LOVE BASEBALL, SO... WHACKING A GOOD HOME RUN!
Quique imagines hitting a baseball with a bat.
[Ball thudding against a bat]
Kaya says, CUT, WE DID IT!
Zadie does a handstand.
[Zadie laughing]
Kaya cheers, OH YEAH!
JunJun looks disappointed.
Zadie cheers, WHOO!
Kaya cheers, OH YEAH!
[Zadie giggling]
Zadie and Kaya cheer, YES!
They high-five. JunJun straightens his feathers.
Zadie says, HIGH-FIVE, JUNJUN!
She raises her paw. JunJun ignores her and walks away.
Zadie says, HUH?
She follows JunJun.
Zadie says, WHERE ARE YOU GOING, JUNJUN? WE DID IT!
[JunJun sighing sadly]
Zadie frowns.
JunJun says, I DIDN'T DO IT. YOU DID IT. YOU MADE IT LOOK SO EASY. WHY CAN'T I ASK THE QUESTION LIKE THAT?
Zadie says, SO, THE BREATHING DIDN'T HELP?
JunJun says, NOPE, THE MINUTE THE CAMERA WENT ON, MY BRAIN FROZE UP.
Kaya flies over and says, I HAVE ANOTHER PLAN YOU CAN TRY? A POWER POSE.
JunJun says, A WHAT?
Kaya says, WHEN I'M ABOUT TO DO SOMETHING SUPER IMPORTANT, I NEED TO FEEL SUPER IMPORTANT. SO, I...
[Drumroll]
Kaya says, ...POWER UP!
She jumps and strikes a pose like a superhero with her hands on her hips.
[Celebratory music plays]
Kaya says, TAH-DAH!
Zadie and JunJun says, SO COOL!
Kaya stands in front of Zadie and JunJun in her power pose.
She says, WHEN I DO MY POWER POSE, I FEEL LIKE I CAN DO ANYTHING. BYE-BYE, NERVOUSNESS, HELLO CONFIDENCE! SO, MAYBE IT CAN HELP YOU TOO, JUNJUN.
JunJun looks nervous.
He says, LET'S TRY IT. COME ON, ZADIE!
[Drumroll]
JunJun sings, DAT-DA-DA-DA!
He, Zadie and Kaya jump and strike their power poses. JunJun spreads his arms and raises one knee. Zadie raises her fist.
[Celebratory music plays]
From his room, Sammy watches Zadie, JunJun and Kaya through a window.
Sammy says, WOW, ARE YOU PLAYING SUPERHEROES?
Zadie, JunJun and Kaya jump around in their power poses.
Sammy asks, CAN I PLAY?
Zadie, JunJun and Kaya notice Sammy in the window.
Kaya says, OH, HI, SAMMY. WE'RE NOT PLAYING, WE'RE FILMING A VIDEO.
Zadie says, BUT WE COULD USE YOUR HELP.
Sammy says, YAY!
He leaves the window. Later on the balcony, Quique packs bottles of lava lamp mixture into a box at the table.
JunJun says, ALMOST READY, SAMMY. JUST HAVE TO DO ONE THING FIRST!
Sammy smiles.
JunJun quietly says to himself, REMEMBER WHAT KAYA SAID. ACT CONFIDENT.
JunJun loudly says, POWER UP!
He jumps into his power pose.
Kaya says, ACTION!
She starts recording. Zadie steps in front of her with the clapboard.
Zadie says, TAKE ONE!
She snaps the board and steps back.
[Snapping]
JunJun looks nervous.
He looks at Sammy and says, UH... UH...
JunJun’s feathers puff out.
[Sammy yelping]
Sammy jumps in fright. He lands on the table of lava lamp mixture bottles and knocks the box into the air. A bottle hits the tree and bursts open.
[Banging]
[Splashing]
Quique ducks away from a bottle. Kaya and Zadie dodge another. JunJun looks around. Lava lamp goo covers the balcony. JunJun lowers his gaze.
JunJun says, SORRY, I DIDN'T MEAN TO.
He straightens his feathers.
JunJun says, I CAN'T DO THIS.
He puts his microphone on the table and walks away. Kaya and Zadie watch him leave. Elsewhere in the Treebourhood, on a branch, JunJun plays his guitar.
[Guitar music plays]
JunJun sings, WHY, OH WHY CAN'T I ASK THE QUESTION? WHY, OH WHY DO I FREEZE?
From close by, Kaya says, FINALLY, WE'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU EVERYWHERE!
She walks across a path with Zadie. JunJun looks away.
JunJun says, I'M GOOD UP HERE, YOU CAN FINISH THE VIDEO WITHOUT ME.
Zadie says, NAH-UH, WE CAN'T FINISH THE VIDEO WITHOUT OUR QUESTION ASKER.
JunJun says, YOU SHOULD BE THE QUESTION-ASKER, ZADIE. YOU'RE REALLY GOOD AT IT.
Kaya says, AS BOTH THE DIRECTOR AND YOUR BIG SISTER, I KNOW YOU CAN DO THIS.
JunJun says, I CAN'T DO IT! I'VE TRIED BELLY BREATHING.
[JunJun inhaling deeply]
JunJun briefly holds his breath.
[JunJun exhaling]
JunJun says, I’VE TRIED A POWER POSE.
He strikes his power pose.
JunJun says, BUT I'M STILL TOO NERVOUS TO TALK ON CAMERA!
[JunJun sighing]
Kaya flies over to JunJun on the branch. Zadie crawls over to the other side of him.
Kaya says, OH YEAH? THEN HOW'D YOU DO THIS?
She plays a video of JunJun playing his guitar in front of a crowd.
[Guitar music playing]
[Crowd cheering]
The video shows Zadie and Malik in the crowd.
In the video, Zadie cheers, YAY! WHOO-HOO!
Kaya says, IF YOU CAN SING ONSTAGE IN FRONT OF THAT MANY PEOPLE, YOU CAN DEFINITELY BE A QUESTION-ASKER.
JunJun says, BUT THAT'S DIFFERENT. I'M NEVER NERVOUS SINGING. I JUST OPEN MY BEAK AND...
JunJun loudly sings, SING!
Kaya and Zadie smile.
Kaya says, I'VE GOT A PLAN. FORGET THE BREATHING AND THE POWER POSING.
Zadie says, JUST DO WHAT ALREADY WORKS FOR YOU.
JunJun says, YOU MEAN...
He glances at his guitar.
He says, OH, SINGING! I CAN SING MY QUESTION INSTEAD!
JunJun plays his guitar.
[Guitar music plays]
JunJun sings, ZADIE, I'VE GOT A QUESTION TO SING.
He glances at Zadie, and she nods. Zadie offers JunJun his microphone.
JunJun takes the microphone and says, OKAY, TEAM, WE'RE BACK IN ACTION!
Kaya and Zadie grin.
[Upbeat music plays]
Elsewhere in the Treebourhood, Ellie climbs through leaves with her rope.
Ellie says, HI!
She reaches her house and smiles at Kaya, Zadie and JunJun.
Ellie says, AGAIN! DID YOU WANT TO ASK ME SOMETHING EARLIER?
JunJun and Zadie look at Kaya.
Kaya says, ACTION!
Zadie says, TAKE ONE!
She snaps the clapboard in front of Kaya.
[Snapping]
Zadie steps back. JunJun steps forward and taps his microphone.
JunJun sings, ELLIE, I'VE GOT A QUESTION TO SING, WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE SOUND OF SPRING?
Ellie says, OH, GOOD ONE!
She swings closer to JunJun.
Ellie says, I'D SAY... THE SOUND OF RAINDROPS ON MY ROOF.
She imagines sleeping in bed while it rains outside.
Ellie says, IT MAKES ME FEEL ALL COZY.
Kaya says, WHOO-WHEE! THAT WAS PERFECT, JUNJUN!
JunJun says, I DID IT, I REALLY DID IT!
He flies in a loop in front of Ellie’s house.
JunJun says, I FINALLY ASKED THE QUESTION! LET'S GO DO SOME MORE. BYE, ELLIE!
Ellie waves. JunJun flies past her and spins her upside down with his wing. Zadie and Kaya follow JunJun and Ellie stops spinning.
[Ellie laughing]
Ellie flips upright and waves. She climbs further up her rope. At the Creation Station, JunJun bursts through the door with Zadie and Kaya.
JunJun says, LEIKO, LEIKO!
[Leiko yelping]
Leiko stumbles and knocks books off a shelf.
She says, OH!
Leiko spots JunJun, Kaya and Zadie at the door.
She whispers, SHH, CAREFUL. IT'S HUSH-HUSH READING HOUR.
Leiko points toward Mr. E reading a book on the floor.
JunJun whispers, SORRY. COULD I ASK YOU A QUESTION FOR A VIDEO WE'RE MAKING?
Leiko quietly says, OF COURSE, JUST QUIETLY.
JunJun and Zadie turn to Kaya.
Kaya quietly says, ACTION.
Zadie steps in front of her and softly snaps the clapboard.
Zadie quietly says, TAKE ONE.
[Quiet snapping]
JunJun softly sings, LEIKO, I'VE GOT A QUESTION TO SING, WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE SOUND OF SPRING?
Leiko quietly says, HMM, LET ME THINK.
[Leiko gasping]
Leiko says, AH-HAH!
Later in the day, Kaya watches her video of Leiko and JunJun.
In the video, Leiko says, IT HAS TO BE THAT CRUNCH WHEN I BITE INTO DUFFY'S SPRING STRAWBERRY SALAD. MMM!
Kaya stops the video. At night in her room, Kaya stands beside Zadie.
Kaya says, TIME TO POST OUR VIDEO TO THE TREEBOURHOOD NEWSLETTER.
Zadie says, OH, OH! CAN I PLEASE PUSH THE BUTTON?
Kaya offers Zadie the phone and Zadie taps the screen.
[Phone dinging]
Zadie says, NOW THAT'S A GREAT SOUND, DING!
Kaya says, WE WORKED IT OUT!
Zadie and Kaya cheer, YES!
They high-five.
Kaya says, HEY, WE NEVER ASKED EACH OTHER ABOUT OUR FAVOURITE SPRINGTIME SOUNDS. WHAT'S YOURS?
Zadie says, THAT'S EASY, IT'S WHEN I JUMP IN A PUDDLE AND IT GOES, "SPLOOSH!"
She imagines herself jumping in a puddle.
[Splashing]
Zadie asks, WHAT ABOUT YOU?
Kaya says, I'LL SHOW YOU.
She leads Zadie to her open window.
[Gentle guitar music plays]
Outside, JunJun sings, ASKING QUESTIONS ISN'T EASY WHEN YOU'RE NERVOUS AND BRAIN-FREEZY.
On a branch, JunJun plays his guitar.
JunJun sings, ZADIE AND KAYA HAD MY BACK. THEY TRIED TO HELP ME TO RELAX. NOW I KNOW JUST WHAT TO DO, WHEN I'M NERVOUS I'LL SING TO YOU.
JunJun smiles.
[Cheerful music plays]
