A staircase spirals around the tree trunk of the Treeborhood. Tiny houses are nestled in the tree. In the Wombat’s house, Malik, a blue-grey wombat; Zadie, a purple wombat; and Zeke, a yellow wombat, sleep in hammocks. They wake up, jump out of their hammocks, and high-five each other. Their grandmother, Super, a blue wombat with pink hair, pours milk and breakfast cereal into their bowls. Zeke holds his stuffed wombat, Snout. The children leave the house and slide across tree branches.

[Slide whistle, rhythmic music plays]

Malik, Zadie, and Zeke sing, WHEN THERE'S A PROBLEM, WHAT DO WE SAY? WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WOMBATS. WHERE THERE'S A WILL, THERE'S ALWAYS WAY. WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WOMBATS.

Zadie sings, WE'VE GOT IDEAS FOR DAYS.

Malik sings, SOLVE PROBLEMS LOTS OF WAYS.

Zeke sings, I LOVE IT WHEN WE PLAY…

Malik, Zadie, and Zeke sing, ALL TOGETHER.

Ellie, an orange moose, jumps on a trampoline, and her blue hat flies off. In a hot air balloon basket, Malik catches the hat and returns it to Ellie.

[Slide whistle, upbeat music plays]

Zadie sings, HEY, I'M ZADIE; BRING ON THE PROBLEMS. TRY SOME DIFFERENT THINGS 'TIL WE SOLVE 'EM.

Zadie puts apples on a table. The apples fall, and Zadie and Mr. E, a green iguana with a black bowler hat, pick the apples up.

[Whooshing, slide whistle]

Malik sings, I'M MALIK, WE'LL WORK IT OUT, JUST WAIT. WE MAKE SOME PLANS, AND THEN WE BUILD AND CREATE.

Malik rides in a go-kart with his friend JunJun, a pink Philippine Eagle. They both wear helmets.

Zeke sings, I'M ZEKE, HERE'S SNOUT, WE LIKE TO EXPLORE.

Malik, Zadie, and Zeke sing, LET'S GO DO IT, ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR. HELP'S NEVER FAR AWAY, THAT'S FOR SURE. WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WOMBATS. COME JOIN THE FUN, YOU READY? LET'S GO. WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WOMBATS. WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WOMBATS. YEAH!

Title: Work It Out Wombats.

Episode title: Malik Gets Muddy.

Malik falls in a mud puddle.

[Splashing, Malik whimpers, playful music plays]

Text reads, “Written by Shemeka Foster. Directed by Jeff Barker. Son by Ron Holsey.

On the ground in front of the Treeborhood, Zadie, Malik, and JunJun kick a ball back and forth.

[Thumping, slide whistle, upbeat music plays]

Zadie says, WOWIE!

Zadie kicks the ball, and it bounces off a flowerpot.

[Zooming, boinging]

JunJun says, MALIK, GET IT BEFORE IT HITS THE GROUND!

Malik chases the ball.

[Whooshing, slide whistle, thumping, exciting music plays]

Malik says, WHOA! IT'S ROLLING TOO FAST!

Malik looks over the top of a bush. The ball rolls to a hollow tree stump with an open door on top and falls into it. Malik, Zadie, and JunJun look into the stump.

[Rustling, slide whistle, suspenseful music plays]

Malik says, HUH, THIS MUST BE A DIFFERENT PART OF THE UNDERGROUNDBOURHOOD.

The ball lies beside a mud puddle in a tunnel beneath the stump.

Zadie reaches into the stump.

[Zadie grunting, whooshing]

Zadie says, I CAN'T REACH IT. THE BALL IS TOO FAR DOWN THE HOLE.

JunJun says, IF YOUR HANDS CAN'T REACH THE BALL, MAYBE ONE OF US CAN GO DOWN INTO THE HOLE AND GET IT.

Malik says, IT'S WAY TOO DEEP AND SLIPPERY-LOOKING. AND IT'S KIND OF SCARY-LOOKING.

[Upbeat music plays]

Zadie says, SCARY? NUHUH, IT LOOKS FUN.

Zadie looks into the stump.

[Slide whistle]

Zadie says, DARK AND MUDDY. MY KIND OF PLACE TO EXPLORE.

JunJun says, THERE'S GOTTA BE SOMETHING WE CAN USE TO GET THE BALL.

Zadie says, A LADDER? DON'T HAVE ONE.

Malik says, WELL, WHAT ABOUT A LONG…

Zadie says, ROPE? NUHUH.

[JunJun groaning]

JunJun says, MY FAVOURITE BALL IS LOST FOREVER.

Malik says, THERE MUST BE SOME WAY TO GET IT OUT.

Zadie says, I HAVE AN IDEA. LET'S TRY THE EVERYTHING EMPORIUM! MR. E. MUST HAVE SOMETHING WE CAN USE.

[Whooshing, upbeat music plays]

In the Everything Emporium, Malik explains, SO, NOW THE BALL'S IN THE UNDERGROUNDBOURHOOD.

Zadie says, AND WE CAN'T GET IT OUT ‘CAUSE IT'S TOO DEEP, DARK, AND MUDDY.

JunJun says, UNLESS YOU HAVE SOMETHING THAT CAN HELP US GET IT OUT.

Mr. E. says, LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT. YOU NEED SOMETHING THAT CAN HELP YOU GO INTO A DEEP AND MUDDY HOLE AND THEN CAN HELP YOU GET BACK OUT?

[Whooshing]

Malik says, YES.

Mr. E. puts a lightbulb in a lamp.

[Squeaking]

Mr. E. says, AND THAT WILL LIGHT THINGS UP, CORRECT?

JunJun says, YES, THAT'S RIGHT.

Mr. E. says, YEAH! UNFORTUNATELY, I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

The children say, AW.

Malik, Zadie, and JunJun walk away from a counter.

[Footsteps padding]

Mr. E. says, WAIT!

The children stop and turn.

[Whooshing]

Mr. E. says, I HAVE A BRIGHT IDEA. IT'S GOING TO BE DELIGHTFUL!

Mr. E. pulls a cord on the lamp and turns on the light. He points at the lamp.

[Clicking, bright music notes play, slide whistle]

Mr. E. says, EH? EH? OKAY, I'LL BE RIGHT BACK.

Mr. E. slides down the ladder. He ducks behind the counter and puts a shoe box on top.

[Slide whistles, upbeat music plays, thumping]

Zadie says, I DON'T THINK A BOX IS GOING TO HELP US, MR. E.

Mr. E. takes the top off the box and spins it on his fingers. He holds up sneakers and waggles his eyebrows.

[Slide whistle, whooshing]

Mr. E. says, EH? EH?

Malik says, SNEAKERS?

[Exciting music plays]

Mr. E. says, NOT JUST ANY SNEAKERS. BEHOLD, THE JUMPING, BOUNCING, FLIPPING, GRIPPING, LIGHT UP, NON-SLIPPING, EXPLORE-ANYTHING-SNEAKERS, MADE ESPECIALLY FOR DARK AND MUDDY PLACES LIKE THE UNDERGROUNDBORHOOD.

[Exciting music ends, Zadie sniffing]

Zadie says, THEY SMELL LIKE BUBBLEGUM AND PANCAKES. YUMMY!

[Upbeat music plays]

Mr. E. says, AH, YEAH, I WAS WORKING ON THESE SNEAKERS WHILE MAKING MY FAMOUS BUBBLEGUM PANCAKE RECIPE. THE SNEAKERS ARE SO SPECIAL THAT THEY REQUIRE THE PERSON WEARING THEM TO COMPLETE THREE STEPS TO TURN THEM ON.

Malik says, TURN THEM ON?

Mr. E. says, YES, I CAN SHOW YOU BETTER THAN I CAN TELL YOU.

Mr. E. puts on the sneakers. He pulls on the laces, twists the tongue in each shoe, and then jumps.

[Slide whistles, boinging, upbeat music plays]

Mr. E. says, ONE OF THE UNIQUE FEATURES OF THESE SNEAKERS IS MY PATENTED SPECIAL TREAD HERE ON THE BOTTOM. IT ALLOWS YOU TO WALK ON SLIPPERY, MUDDY, OR EVEN CHOCOLATEY SURFACES.

Zadie says, OOH!

[JunJun clapping]

Mr. E. says, AND YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE THIS. THERE ARE LIGHTS THAT GO AROUND THE SNEAKERS.

The bottom of the sneakers glow.

Mr. E. says, BUT HERE'S MY FAVOURITE FEATURE. JUMPING SPRINGS!

Mr. E. leaps around the Emporium.

[Mr. E. laughing, boinging]

Mr. E. says, ALRIGHT!

He stops leaping.

Mr. E. says, I CAN GUARANTEE YOU, NO OTHER SNEAKERS HAVE THESE.

JunJun says, OH, OH, I WANT TO TRY THEM!

He jumps excitedly.

[Boinging]

Zadie says, NO, ME!

JunJun says, I KNOW, TO MAKE IT FAIR, HERE'S WHAT WE SHOULD DO. WE SHOULD SEE WHO CAN BALANCE A SPOON ON THEIR NOSE THE LONGEST WHILE STANDING ON ONE FOOT. WHOEVER WINS GETS TO WEAR THE SNEAKERS.

JunJun balances a spoon on his beak and then stands on one foot.

[Popping, slide whistle]

Zadie says, I LOVE A CHALLENGE.

Zadie grabs a spoon.

[Whooshing]

Malik says, COUNT ME OUT.

Zadie and JunJun balance spoons on their noses and stand on one foot.

[Upbeat music plays]

Mr. E. says, AH, BEFORE I SELECT WHO WILL GET TO WEAR THE SNEAKERS, LET ME EXPLAIN THEIR SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS.

He holds a piece of paper with three steps: pulling the shoelaces, twisting the tongues, and jumping.

[Paper rustling]

Mr. E. says, TO TURN ON ALL THE FEATURES, YOU HAVE TO DO THREE STEPS IN THE RIGHT ORDER.

Malik watches JunJun and Zadie wobbling on one foot.

[Malik gasping]

JunJun says, AHAH...

Mr. E. says, STEP ONE, PULL THE SHOELACES.

JunJun says, AHAH...

Mr. E. says, STEP TWO, TWIST THE TONGUES.

JunJun says, AHAH!

Mr. E. says, STEP THREE, JUMP.

JunJun sneezes, and the spoon falls off his beak.

[JunJun sneezing, clattering]

Mr. E. says, IN THAT ORDER, GOT IT?

Malik says, OH, YEAH. WE GOT IT.

Mr. E. says, PERFECT. REMEMBER, DO ALL THREE STEPS IN ORDER OR THE SNEAKERS WON'T WORK. NOW, WHO GETS TO WEAR THEM FIRST?

Zadie jumps excitedly.

[Boinging, upbeat music plays]

Zadie says, ME! I'M GOING TO LOOK GREAT WEARING THESE BEAUTIFUL SNEAKERS.

Zadie jumps into the sneakers.

[Whooshing]

Zadie says, COOL.

Zadie trips and tumbles across the floor.

[Rustling]

Zadie says, WHOA!

[Zadie grunting]

Mr. E. says, AHH, TOO BIG. SORRY, ZADIE.

Zadie says, OH, NO, REALLY? I GUESS YOU GET TO WEAR THEM, JUNJUN.

JunJun says, YOU BET.

JunJun tries to squeeze his feet into the sneakers.

[Squeaking]

Mr. E. says, AH, TOO SMALL. SORRY, JUNJUN. YOUR TURN, MALIK.

Malik says, UH, THEY PROBABLY WON'T EVEN FIT, PLUS, I'M NOT EVEN SURE I WANT TO WEAR THEM.

JunJun holds up the sneakers. Malik puts them on.

[Rustling, slide whistle, groaning, gentle music plays, plopping]

Malike says, YEAH.

Zadie cheers, THEY FIT!

[Boinging]

Mr. E. says, PERFECTLY! THESE SHOES WERE MADE FOR YOU, MALIK.

[Upbeat music plays]

Zadie says, MALIK, YOU'RE SO LUCKY YOU GET TO GO DOWN THAT DARK, MUDDY, AND DEEP HOLE.

Malik says, I DON'T REALLY FEEL LIKE GOING DOWN THERE. I DON'T WANT TO GET MUDDY.

Zadie says, HUH? I CAN'T HEAR YOU.

Malik says, MUDDY. I DON'T REALLY WANT TO GO WHERE IT'S DARK AND MUDDY.

Zadie says, BUT THAT MEANS NO GOING IN DARK AND MUDDY CAVES?

Zadie imagines hopping in a cave with Malik. Postcards appear.

[Sighing, slide whistles, boinging, upbeat music plays, popping]

Zadie says, IT WAS ALWAYS A DREAM OF MINE THAT SOMEDAY YOU AND I COULD GO EXPLORE EXCITING CAVES TOGETHER. I GUESS I'LL HAVE TO SEND YOU LOTS OF POSTCARDS SO YOU DON'T MISS OUT.

Malik says, I WANT TO EXPLORE COOL CAVES WITH YOU, TOO, ZADIE!

[Sighing]

Malik says, OKAY, I'M GOING TO DO IT.

[Triumphant music plays]

Zadie and JunJun cheer, YES!

JunJun says, GO, MALIK! THIS IS AWESOME.

JunJun and Malik leave the store.

[Bell jingling]

Mr. E. holds up the instructions.

Mr. E. says, DON'T FORGET THE INSTRUCTIONS. REMEMBER, MALIK MUST DO ALL THREE STEPS IN ORDER OR THE SHOES WON'T WORK.

Zadie takes the instructions, crumples them, and runs out of the Emporium.

[Rustling, whooshing, Malik groaning]

At the Undergroundbourhood entrance, Malik looks down at the ball.

[Whimpering]

Malik says, I CAN DO THIS!

Malik slides down the steep side of the entrance.

[Slide whistle, whooshing]

Malik shouts, I'M INSIDE!

JunJun and Zadie each give Malik a thumbs-up. Malik walks to the edge of a large puddle and looks at the ball on the other side.

Malik says, OKAY, MALIK. JUST ONE SMALL STEP OVER THIS PUDDLE. ALMOST THERE.

Malik steps over the puddle and picks up the ball.

[Rustling]

Malik says, MADE IT. WOOHOO! THAT WAS EASY. HUH, I GUESS I DON'T NEED THESE SNEAKERS AFTER ALL.

Malik turns and slips on a mud puddle. He drops the ball.

[Slide whistle, thumping, splashing]

Malik says, UH OH.

The ball falls into a hole. Malik jumps down and falls in a mud puddle.

[Thumping, gasping, groaning, splashing]

Malik says, I'M SLIDING AROUND BECAUSE IT'S TOO SLIPPERY TO WALK.

[Sighing]

Malik says, I GUESS I DO NEED THE SNEAKERS. UH, HOW DO I TURN THE SNEAKERS ON AGAIN?

Zadie says, I THINK MR. E. SAID SOMETHING ABOUT, UM, JUMPING?

Malik jumps on the side of the hole and slides back down.

[Boinging, slide whistle, shouting, mud splashing]

Zadie shouts, ARE YOU OKAY, MALIK?

[Gentle music plays]

Malik says, NO, I'M COVERED IN MUD, AND I LOST THE BALL.

JunJun shouts, CAN YOU SEE IT?

Malik says, NO, IT'S TOO FAR AWAY AND TOO DARK!

[Slide whistle]

Malik says, HUH? WAIT, I SEE SOMETHING. FIREFLIES, YOU'RE LIGHTING UP THE BALL FOR ME.

Fireflies fly over the ball. Malik slips on mud and lands by the ball.

[Slide whistle, rustling]

Malik says, WHOA! I DID IT, I GOT THE BALL. WOO HOO!

Malik carries the ball to the side of the hole. He jumps and slides down the side, landing in the mud puddle.

[Slide whistle, boinging, grunting, gentle music plays, splashing]

Malik says, NOT AGAIN. I REALLY NEED THE EXTRA GRIPPY TREAD ON THESE SNEAKERS TO WORK. HM, I WISH I COULD REMEMBER HOW TO GET THE SHOES TO WORK. THERE WAS SOMETHING ABOUT TWISTING. MAYBE THAT WILL TURN THEM ON.

Malik twists his ankles back and forth.

[Whooshing, mud splashing]

Malik says, THAT DIDN'T WORK. I THINK ONE OF THE STEPS WAS TO PULL THE LACES.

[Gasping, upbeat music plays]

Malik says, LET ME TRY TWISTING THEN PULLING.

Malik twists his ankles and then pulls the laces.

[Splashing, rustling, slide whistles]

Malik says, I TWISTED AND PULLED, BUT NOTHING WORKED.

[Sighing]

Malik shouts, I MIGHT BE STUCK IN HERE FOR A REALLY, REALLY LONG TIME!

Zadie says, WELL, IF MALIK IS STUCK IN THE UNDERGROUNDBOURHOOD FOREVER, WE'LL JUST HAVE TO BRING THE TREEBOURHOOD TO HIM.

JunJun says, YOU'RE GOING TO PUT THE TREEBOURHOOD UNDERGROUND?

Zadie says, NO, I'M GOING TO MAKE SURE HE HAS EVERYTHING HE NEEDS. HE'LL NEED HIS BED, HIS TOYS, SOME PENCILS, A BATHTUB

JunJun says, THAT SEEMS LIKE A LONG LIST. MAYBE USE THE PAPER IN YOUR POCKET TO WRITE IT ALL DOWN SO YOU DON'T FORGET.

Zadie takes the instructions out of her pocket.

[Paper rustling]

JunJun says, LOOK, THE INSTRUCTIONS! I FOUND THEM!

Zadie says, NO, I FOUND THEM. OKAY, WE BOTH FOUND THEM.

JunJun takes the instructions and looks into the stump.

[Upbeat music plays]

JunJun shouts, MALIK, WE HAVE THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT MR. E. WROTE. STEP ONE, PULL THE SHOELACES.

The first instruction appears by Malik. He bends over and pulls the shoelaces.

[Slide whistles, popping, mud splashing, rustling]

Malik shouts, NOTHING HAPPENED. ARE YOU SURE THAT'S RIGHT?

Zadie shouts, MR. E. SAID YOU HAVE TO DO ALL THE STEPS IN ORDER OR THE SNEAKERS WON'T TURN ON. STEP TWO, TWIST THE TONGUE.

The second instruction appears by Malik, and he twists the tongue of the sneakers.

[Slide whistles, popping, squeaking, rustling]

Malik says, DONE!

JunJun says, STEP THREE, JUMP!

The third instruction appears by Malik, and he jumps.

[Slide whistles, boinging, squeaking, rustling, whirring, Malik gasping, upbeat music plays]

Malik says, THEY'RE WORKING, THEY'RE WORKING! I CAN SEE!

Malik jumps up the side of the hole.

[Boinging, squeaking]

Malik says, HEY, I'M NOT SLIPPING ON THE MUD ANYMORE, AND I'M BOUNCING! WHOA!

Malik jumps out of the stump and spins in the air.

[Slide whistles, upbeat music plays]

Malik says, TADA!

Malik, Zadie, and JunJun bump their fists together.

Everyone says, YES!

Later at the Everything Emporium, Malik says, I KEPT THINKING THE SNEAKERS WERE BROKEN, BUT THEY WEREN'T! WE JUST NEEDED TO FOLLOW ALL THREE STEPS IN THE RIGHT ORDER.

[Chiming]

Mr. E. says, INSTRUCTIONS ARE THERE TO HELP US.

He slides down the ladder.

[Slide whistle]

Mr. E. says, IF YOU MISS A STEP, THEN NOTHING GOES RIGHT. I'M GOING TO HAVE THESE SNEAKERS MADE IN EVERY SIZE!

[Mr. E. gasping, everyone cheering, bell jingling, upbeat music plays]

Zeke says, HELP, SNOUT JUST FELL DOWN A HOLE!

JunJuna asks, NEAR A TREE STUMP?

Zadie asks, WAS IT DARK AND MUDDY?

Zeke says, YES AND YES.

Malik says, I HAVE JUST WHAT WE'LL NEED.

Malik takes the sneakers off the counter.

[Rustling]

Malik says, LET'S GO GET SNOUT BACK.

Malik puts his arm around Zeke, and they walk towards the door.

JunJun says, BYE, ZEKE!

Malik winks.

[Slide whistle]

In the Wombat children’s bedroom, beach chairs lean against a wall. A large unicorn floatie, a beach ball, shovels, and buckets lie on the floor. Zeke, Zadie, and Malik sleep in their hammocks. Zeke opens his eyes.

[Upbeat music plays]

Zeke sings, WE'RE GOING TO THE BEACH TODAY'S THE DAY.

Zadie pushes off her blanket.

[Slide whistle]

Zadie sings, WE'VE GOTTA GET READY, THEN WE'LL BE ON OUR WAY.

Malik pushes off his blanket.

Malik sings, WE'LL SWIM IN THE OCEAN AND SOAK UP THE SUN.

Everyone sings, WE'VE GOTTA GET READY, LET'S GET IT DONE.

Zeke’s floaties and flippers slip onto his arms and feet.

[Popping, upbeat music continues]

Zeke sings, FLOATIES, FLIPPERS, HERE WE GO.

Malik sings, SUNSCREEN ON FROM HEAD TO TOE.

Malik and Zadie put on sunscreen. Zeke picks up a shovel and bucket.

[Sunscreen squelching, popping]

Zeke sings, WE NEED TO BRING SHOVELS AND BUCKETS, TOO.

Zadie takes a bathing suit out of a drawer.

[Slide whistle]

Zadie sings, AND DON'T FORGET ABOUT OUR BATHING SUITS. BUT FIRST, WE BETTER STEP IT UP AND FIGURE OUT A WAY…

Zadie tumbles.

[Rustling]

Malik sings, TO DO EVERYTHING IN ORDER. FOR OUR BIG BEACH DAY, WOO!

Zadie and Malik take off the floaties and flippers.

Zadie sings, FIRST COME BATHING SUITS.

Malik sings, AND SUNSCREEN TO PROTECT OUR SKIN.

Floaties and flippers slip onto the children’s arms and feet.

[Sunscreen squelching, popping, plopping]

Zeke sings, NEXT FLOATIES AND FLIPPERS FOR OUR SWIM.

Zadie says, PLUS, BUCKETS AND SHOVELS IN HAND. WE'LL HAVE LOTS OF FUN IN THE SAND.

Everyone sings, WE'RE GOING TO THE BEACH, TODAY'S THE DAY. WE'VE GOTTA GET READY, THEN WE'LL BE ON OUR WAY. WE'LL SWIM IN THE OCEAN AND SOAK UP THE SUN.

Zeke rides the unicorn floatie across the room.

[Slide whistle]

Everyone sings, WE SET IT ALL OUT AND GOT IT DONE.

[Music stops]

Super looks into the room, wearing her bathrobe.

[Door opening, squeaking]

Super says, YOU'RE READY ALREADY? I'D BETTER GET READY.

[Door closing, upbeat music plays]

At the beach, the children sing, WE STEPPED IT OUT, WOO HOO. AND FIGURED OUT A WAY. WOO HOO. TO DO EVERYTHING IN ORDER FOR OUR BIG BEACH DAY.

[Slide whistles]

Episode Title: “Balloonasaur Delivery.”

Zeke, Malik, and Zadie carry umbrellas and balloonosaurs. Acorns bounce off the umbrellas.

[Plopping, plinking]

Text reads, “Written by Chuck Tately. Directed by Jeff Barker.”

In a field, Malik and Zeke play badminton against Zadie and Buckley.

[Slide whistle, cheerful music plays]

Zeke says, THIS ONE'S FOR THE GAME!

Zeke serves a birdie, and the teams hit it back and forth. Buckley hits the birdie with his tail and scores a point.

[Boinging, thunking, giggling, grunting, whooshing]

Zadie says, WE WIN!

Zadie and Buckley leap.

Buckley says, YEAH, WE DID.

Buckley lands on his back.

[Grunting, music stops]

Malik asks, BUCKLEY, ARE YOU OKAY?

[Buckley groaning]

Buckley says, OW. NO, I'M NOT OKAY.

Zadie says, I'LL GET HELP!

Zadie runs to a tree and pushes a button. In the Boo-Boo Blimp, Ellie sits by a control panel.

[Clicking, alarm blaring]

Ellie says, OH, SOMEONE'S HURT AT LAKE BELLYFLOP.

Ellie lands the blimp by the children and runs to them.

[Banging, alarm blaring]

The wombat children shout, ELLIE!

Ellie asks, OKAY, WHERE DOES IT HURT?

Buckely gestures at his tail and Ellie pats it.

[Slide whistle, patting]

Buckley says, OW!

Beatrice, a purple beaver, slides off a river.

[Splashing, boinging, dramatic music plays]

Beatrice says, BUCKLEY, AUNTIE BEATRICE IS HERE. WHAT HAPPENED?

Ellie says, IT SEEMS HE'S SPRAINED HIS TAIL. LET'S GET YOU ON THIS, BUCKLEY.

Ellie puts a board with wheels on the ground behind Buckley. Buckley stands and holds handles attached to the board. His tail lies on top of the board.

[Squeaking, rustling]

Ellie says, PERFECT, JUST KEEP YOUR TAIL OFF THE GROUND AND OUT OF THE WATER FOR A WEEK, AND YOU'LL BE FINE.

Buckley and Beatrice say, A WEEK!?

[Boinging]

Ellie says, I KNOW, ASKING A BEAVER TO STAY OUT OF WATER IS LIKE ASKING A MOOSE TO STAY OUT OF HER BLIMP.

Louisa arrives on her tricycle with a triceratops head decoration on the handlebars.

[Rustling]

Louisa asks, WHERE'S THE DINOSAUR?

Zeka says, WHAT DINOSAUR? WHERE?

[Exciting music notes play]

Louisa says, YOU KNOW, THE ONE THAT WENT, "WOO!"

[Malik chuckling]

Malik says, LOUISA, THAT WAS ELLIE'S ALARM.

Buckley says, I LOVE DINOSAURS.

Louisa says, THERE'S PROBABLY SOME AROUND HERE SOMEWHERE. DID YOU NOT KNOW THAT DINOSAURS ARE EXPERTS AT HIDE AND SEEK? BUT I'M GOING TO FIND ONE.

Beatrice says, OH, COME ON, BUCKLEY, LET'S GET YOU INSIDE TO REST THAT TAIL.

Buckley waves and walks with Beatrice.

[Wheels squeaking]

The wombat children say, BYE!

[Gentle music plays]

Zeke says, I HOPE BUCKLEY'S TAIL DOESN'T HURT TOO MUCH. WE SHOULD GET HIM SOMETHING TO HELP HIM FEEL BETTER.

Malik says, YES, AND I HAVE THE PERFECT IDEA!

In the wombat house, Zadie and Zeke jump into the air, each holding deflated balloons.

They say, BALLOONS!

Malik puts a hat with a balloon flower on his head.

[Plopping, upbeat music plays]

Malik says, BETTER, BALLOON HATS.

Zadie says, OR WE CAN MAKE BALLOON DINOSAURS. BUCKLEY LOVES DINOSAURS. WE CAN CALL THEM BALLOONOSAURS!

Zeke says, YAY!

Malik says, YES!

Zeke inflates a balloon.

[Air hissing]

Super says, MY INFLATEOMATIC BLOWS UP BALLOONS PERFECTLY EVERY TIME, NEVER TOO FULL, NO UNEXPECTED POPS.

[Malik chuckling]

Malik says, REMEMBER WHEN POPS SURPRISED ZEKE SO MUCH HE'D JUMP IN THE AIR?

[Malik chuckling, boinging]

Zeke says, I NEVER DID THAT!

Zadie steps on a balloon, and it pops. Zeke jumps up in the air.

[Popping, shouting, giggling]

Super says, WELL, LOOKS LIKE YOU'VE GOT THIS, MY LITTLE SQUISHES. I'LL BE IN MY OFFICE IF YOU NEED ME.

Super leaves the room. The children inflate balloons.

[Rustling, footsteps padding, air hissing, slide whistle]

Zadie says, USING CLOTHESPINS WAS ONE OF MY BEST IDEAS. THEY'RE SO EASY TO USE.

Zadie fastens a clothespin on the end of a balloon. She, Zeke, and Malik create balloonosaurs.

[Clicking, balloons creaking, marker squeaking]

Malik says, MY DINOSAUR'S HAPPY BECAUSE HE HAD PIZZA FOR LUNCH, HIS FAVOURITE.

Zadie says, MINE'S SO HUNGRY IT'S MAKING HIM ANGRY, SO HE'S HANGRY.

Zeke says, MINE LOOKS LIKE THIS BECAUSE MY PEN SLIPPED WHEN I DREW THE MOUTH.

[Giggling]

Malik says, THESE WILL DEFINITELY MAKE BUCKLEY FEEL BETTER.

Malik, Zadie, and Zeke carry their balloonosaurs across a wooden bridge.

[Creaking]

Malik says, COME ON, ZEKE, KEEP UP. WE HAVE TO GET TO BUCKLEY'S.

[Upbeat music plays]

Zeke says, I'M TRYING. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET BIGGER.

Zeke’s balloonosaur deflates.

[Air hissing]

Zeke says, LOOK! I'M GETTING BIGGER!

Zadie says, YOU'RE NOT GETTING BIGGER. YOUR BALLOONOSAUR'S GETTING SMALLER.

Malik says, AND SO ARE OURS.

[Air hissing, squeaking]

Malik says, THE AIR'S LEAKING OUT.

Zadie says, RUN OR THEY'LL BE EMPTY BEFORE WE GET TO BUCKLEY.

[Air hissing]

Zeke reaches for an elevator button, and Zadie blocks his hand.

[Sad music plays]

Zadie says, IT'S TOO LATE, ZEKE.

[Air hissing]

In the wombat house, Malik says, I THINK THE CLOTHESPINS WEREN'T TIGHT ENOUGH. SO, THEY LET ALL THE AIR LEAK OUT. HOW DO WE FIX THIS? THINKING POSITIONS.

Malik looks down at his yoyo and then picks it up.

[Thumping, slide whistles, rustling]

Malik says, A KNOT. LET ME TRY TO TIE A KNOT.

Malik ties a knot at the end of his balloon.

[Balloon creaking, upbeat music plays]

Zadie says, WHOA, YOU'RE REALLY GOOD AT THAT.

Malik ties knots at the end of balloons for Zadie and Zeke.

[Balloon creaking]

Zadie says, YEAH, IT'S TIGHTER THAN A CLOTHESPIN, AND I DON'T HEAR ANY AIR LEAKING OUT.

Malik says, WE FIXED IT!

[Happy music plays, creaking]

In the living room, the children reassemble their balloonosaurs.

Zadie asks, UM, DID YOUR PEN SLIP AGAIN WHEN YOU DREW THE FACE?

Zeke replies, NOPE, THIS IS JUST HOW HE FEELS. HAPPY, BUT A LITTLE SAD, AND KIND OF CONFUSED.

Zadie nods. The children leave the house and walk across the bridge.

[Upbeat music plays]

Malik says, LET'S DOUBLE CHECK TO SEE IF OUR KNOTS ARE WORKING.

Zadie says, NO LEAKS, NOTHING CAN STOP US DELIVERING OUR BALLOONOSAURS TO BUCKLEY NOW.

Acorns blow off a tree and pop the balloonosaurs.

[Wind gusting, slide whistles, popping, Zeke shouting]

Zadie shouts, ACORNS!

[Popping, shouting]

In the house, Malik and Zadie pace.

[Upbeat music plays]

Zadie says, OKAY, THE KNOTS STOPPED THE AIR FROM LEAKING OUT, BUT THE ACORNS POPPED OUR BALLOONS. HOW DO WE FIX THIS?

They imagine the balloonosaurs wearing helmets.

[Slide whistle, plopping, whirring]

Zeke says, WE NEED A NEW PLAN. MAYBE GIANT HELMETS?

Malik says, OR HELICOPTER HATS TO KNOCK THE ACORNS AWAY?

Zadie says, WE DON'T HAVE THOSE, BUT WE DO HAVE

Zadie runs to the door and opens an umbrella.

[Slide whistle, rustling]

Zeke and Malik say, UMBRELLAS!

Zadie imagines acorns bouncing off her umbrella.

[Upbeat music plays, thudding]

Zadie says, IF AN ACORN FALLS OFF OUT OF THE TREE, THE UMBRELLAS WILL PROTECT THE DINOS FROM GETTING HIT AND POPPING.

Zeke and Malik smile and nod at each other. Later, they walk on the bridge and carry their balloonosaurs beneath umbrellas. Acorns bounce off the umbrellas.

[Wind gusting, slide whistle, thudding]

Malik says, IT'S WORKING. THE UMBRELLAS ARE PROTECTING OUR DINOS FROM GETTING HIT BY ACORNS.

Zadie says, NOTHING WILL POP OUR DINOS NOW.

Zeke says, EXCEPT THOSE!

They all exclaim, POINTY HORNS!

Louisa rides her tricycle towards the children.

[Rumbling, dramatic music plays]

Louisa says, DINOSAURS!

Zeke drops his balloonosaur and a horn on the triceratops decoration pops it. Louisa rides past Zadie and Malik. Their balloonosaurs fall on the dinosaur decoration and pop.

[Whooshing, popping, Zeke shouting, popping]

Zadie and Malik say, AWW.

Louisa says, I THOUGHT I SAW YOU WITH DINOSAURS.

Malik, Zeke, and Zadie walk on a path.

Malik says, UMBRELLAS WILL PROTECT BALLOONS FROM FALLING ACORNS, BUT WITH SO MANY POINTY THINGS OUTSIDE, A BALLOON DOESN'T STAND A CHANCE.

The children walk back to the Treeborhood front door.

[Whooshing, Malik sighing]

Malik says, HOW DO WE FIX THIS?

Zadie says, MAYBE WE DON'T GO OUTSIDE.

Zadie opens the door.

[Door opening]

Zadie asks, GRANDMA, DO THE TUNNELS UNDER THE TREEBOURHOOD GO TO BUCKLEY'S HOUSE?

Super says, THEY DO INDEED.

Zadie says, THE TUNNELS HAVE NO ACORNS AND NO POINTY THINGS LIKE TRICYCLES WITH HORNS. THEY'RE 100 PERCENT SAFE FOR BALLOONS.

[Dinging]

Malik says, NEW PLAN, WE TAKE THE TUNNELS.

Zeke says, LET'S GO MAKE BUCKLEY SOME NEW DINOSAUR BALLOONS.

Later, the children carry balloonosaurs and follow Super to a shelving unit. She touches a photograph, and a keypad appears. Super punches in a code, and a checkmark appears. The shelves slide to the side, revealing a tunnel.

[Beeping, rumbling]

Super says, THIS IS THE WAY TO THE TUNNELS. REMEMBER, AFTER YOU GO DOWN THE SLIDE, YOU JUST KEEP GOING STRAIGHT UNTIL YOU PASS A BIG FAN.

[Upbeat music plays, balloons creaking]

Zadie says, GOTCHA.

Super says, THEN GO THROUGH THE BLUE DOOR. THAT'S THE LAST DOOR BEFORE YOU GET TO THE UNDERGROUND RIVER, THEN YOU'LL BE AT BUCKLEY'S HOUSE.

Malik says, STRAIGHT, FAN, BLUE DOOR, BUCKLEY'S HOUSE. GOT IT!

The children slide down the slide.

[Rustling]

They cheer, WOO HOO!

Zadie says, STRAIGHT!

[Footsteps rustling]

Zadie says, NOW, STRAIGHT UNTIL WE GET TO THE BIG FAN.

[Cheerful music plays]

Zeke says, THERE'S THE FAN!

Malik says, NOW WE NEED TO FIND THE BLUE DOOR.

Zeke says, MY DINOSAUR FEELS VERY SAFE HERE, ISN'T THAT RIGHT, GRR?

Zadie says, YOU NAMED YOUR DINOSAUR "GRR?"

Zeke says, OH, NO, HE NAMED HIMSELF.

[Zadie laughing]

Malik says, THERE'S THE BLUE DOOR.

Malik puts his balloonosaur on the ground and pulls on the door handle.

[Grunting]

Malik says, IT'S STUCK!

[Everyone grunting]

Malik says, I DON'T SEE A WAY TO UNLOCK THE DOOR. CAN YOU FIND THE LIGHT?

Zeke flips a light switch.

[Clicking]

Zeke says, IT'S BROKEN.

The fan activates, and the shadows of the balloonosaurs fall on the children as they pull on the door handle.

[Whirring, everyone grunting]

Zeke says, HEY, OUR DINOSAURS ARE COMING TO HELP.

Malik says, NO, ZEKE, THEY'RE NOT.

The balloonosaurs blow past the children.

[Gasping, upbeat music plays]

Malik says, THE FAN IS BLOWING THEM AWAY! COME ON!

Zeke says, THEY'RE GOING TO FALL IN THE RIVER.

Zadie says, MAYBE THE RAILING WILL STOP THEM.

The balloonosaurs blow over the railing and fall into the river.

[Splashing]

Zadie says, UH, NOPE, IT DIDN'T.

[Slide whistle, water splashing]

Malik says, AWW.

Later in the wombat house, Zadie says, OUR BALLOONS AREN'T SAFE OUTSIDE, AND THEY'RE NOT SAFE INSIDE EITHER. HOW DO WE FIX THIS?

Malik holds up a bag of deflated balloons.

[Rustling, upbeat music plays]

Zeke says, WE DON'T HAVE MANY BALLOONS LEFT. MAYBE WE SHOULD JUST GIVE BUCKLEY BALLOONS THAT AREN'T BLOWN UP YET.

Malik says, HM.

Zadie says, NUHUH, OUR GIFT IS DINOSAURS, NOT EMPTY BALLOONS.

Malik says, TRUE, BUT MAYBE ZEKE'S RIGHT. WHEN WE TRIED DELIVERING BALLOON DINOSAURS, THEY LOST THEIR AIR.

A flashback shows a balloon deflating.

[Air hissing, slide whistle]

Zeke says, OR POPPED.

Flashbacks show balloonosaurs popping and floating away.

[Popping, water splashing, slide whistle]

Zadie says, OR FLOATED AWAY BEFORE WE COULD EVEN GET THEM TO BUCKLEY.

Malik holds up the bag of balloons.

[Whooshing, upbeat music plays]

Malik says, HOW'S THIS FOR A PLAN? WE BRING THESE BALLOONS TO BUCKLEY BEFORE WE BLOW THEM UP, THEN MAKE OUR DINOSAURS AT HIS HOUSE.

Zeke jumps up and down.

[Boinging]

Zeke says, YEAH, THAT WAY THEY CAN'T LOSE THEIR AIR, POP, OR BLOW AWAY BEFORE WE GET THERE.

Malik says, IT'S A PLAN.

The children run with acorns falling around them. Zadie pulls a suitcase behind her. They see a cactus and turn sharply.

[Tapping, slide whistles, gasping, upbeat music plays]

PHEW.

Zeke, Zadie, and Malik say, HI, AMADO.

Amado trims a bush.

[Snipping]

The children say, BYE, AMADO.

On the wooden bridge, Louisa rides past them.

Louisa says, OH, THERE'S A DINOSAUR AROUND HERE SOMEWHERE. I CAN FEEL IT.

Later, Malik, Zeke, and Zadie stand at Buckley’s front door.

[Doorbell ringing, door opening]

Zadie says, HI, BUCKLEY, HOW'S YOUR TAIL?

Buckley says, GETTING BETTER, BUT IT'S NOT MUCH FUN BEING STUCK INSIDE RESTING.

Malik says, FUNNY YOU MENTION FUN. WAIT HERE.

The wombat children run past Buckley and through a doorway in the house.

[Upbeat music plays, air hissing, popping, Zeke shouting, creaking]

Zadie, Zeke, and Malik carry balloonosaurs into Buckley’s living room.

Zadie says, THESE BALLOONOSAURS ARE FOR YOU, TO CHEER YOU UP SINCE YOUR TAIL GOT HURT.

Buckley says, WOW, HOW DID YOU MAKE THEM SO FAST!?

Zadie says, WELL, WE GOT LOTS OF PRACTICE AS WE WORKED IT OUT.

A flashback shows deflating balloonosaurs.

[Slide whistle, air hissing]

Zeke says, THE FIRST DINOSAURS WE MADE LOST THEIR AIR.

In a flashback, the balloonosaurs pop.

[Popping]

Malik says, THEN WE TIED THE KNOTS TIGHTLY, BUT ACORNS POPPED THEM.

In a flashback, Louisa pops the balloonosaurs, and other balloonosaurs float on the river.

[Popping, slide whistle, splashing]

Zadie says, THE NEXT ONES WE PROTECTED WITH UMBRELLAS, BUT THE TRICYCLE POPPED THEM, SO WE WENT UNDERGROUND INSTEAD OF OUTSIDE, BUT THOSE DINOSAURS DISAPPEARED DOWN A RIVER.

Buckley says, THEY DISAPPEARED?

Zadie says, WE LAST SAW THEM FLOATING AWAY IN A RIVER UNDER THE TREEBOURHOOD.

Zeke says, I WONDER WHERE THEY WENT.

Malik says, WE MAY NEVER KNOW.

By the river beside Buckley’s house, Louisa rides her tricycle. The balloonosaurs float out of a drainage pipe and onto the river.

[Gentle music plays, slide whistles]

Louisa says, DINOSAURS, YOU CAME!

On the grass, Leiko and Duffy relax on a blanket. Louisa runs to them, holding the balloonosaurs.

Louisa says, MOMMY, MAMA! THREE DINOSAURS FOLLOWED ME HOME. CAN I KEEP THEM?

Leiko and Duffy nod.

Louisa says, I CAN'T WAIT FOR ALL YOU DINOSAURS TO MEET MY STUFFIES.

[Upbeat music plays]
