A staircase spirals around the tree trunk of the Treeborhood. Tiny houses are nestled in the tree. In the Wombat’s house, Malik, a blue-grey wombat; Zadie, a purple wombat; and Zeke, a yellow wombat, sleep in hammocks. They wake up, jump out of their hammocks, and high-five each other. Their grandmother, Super, a blue wombat with pink hair, pours milk and breakfast cereal into their bowls. Zeke holds his stuffed wombat, Snout. The children leave the house and slide across tree branches.

[Slide whistle, rhythmic music plays]

Malik, Zadie, and Zeke sing, WHEN THERE'S A PROBLEM, WHAT DO WE SAY? WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WOMBATS. WHERE THERE'S A WILL, THERE'S ALWAYS WAY. WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WOMBATS.

Zadie sings, WE'VE GOT IDEAS FOR DAYS.

Malik sings, SOLVE PROBLEMS LOTS OF WAYS.

Zeke sings, I LOVE IT WHEN WE PLAY…

Malik, Zadie, and Zeke sing, ALL TOGETHER.

Ellie, an orange moose, jumps on a trampoline, and her blue hat flies off. In a hot air balloon basket, Malik catches the hat and returns it to Ellie.

[Slide whistle, upbeat music plays]

Zadie sings, HEY, I'M ZADIE; BRING ON THE PROBLEMS. TRY SOME DIFFERENT THINGS 'TIL WE SOLVE 'EM.

Zadie puts apples on a table. The apples fall, and Zadie and Mr. E, a green iguana with a black bowler hat, pick the apples up.

[Whooshing, slide whistle]

Malik sings, I'M MALIK, WE'LL WORK IT OUT, JUST WAIT. WE MAKE SOME PLANS, AND THEN WE BUILD AND CREATE.

Malik rides in a go-kart with his friend JunJun, a pink Philippine Eagle. They both wear helmets.

Zeke sings, I'M ZEKE, HERE'S SNOUT, WE LIKE TO EXPLORE.

Malik, Zadie, and Zeke sing, LET'S GO DO IT, ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR. HELP'S NEVER FAR AWAY, THAT'S FOR SURE. WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WOMBATS. COME JOIN THE FUN, YOU READY? LET'S GO. WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WOMBATS. WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, WOMBATS. YEAH!

Episode title: Treeborhood Harvest Day.

Mr. E., Malik, and Zadie dance.

Text reads, “Written by Kathy Waugh. Directed by Jeff Barker, Andrea Gerstmann. Song by Stacey Greenberger.”

[Mr. E. singing, shears snipping, water flowing, Super humming, upbeat music plays]

In front of the Everything Emporium, Mr. E. sweeps the walkway. In the Treeborhood, Amado prunes a small tree. On the wombats’ deck, Super waters a plant. In the house, Zadie, Zeke, and Louisa play with blocks and a road. Zadie puts a twisty piece of road on a carpet.

Zadie says, THE ROAD IN THIS TOWN IS GOING TO BE REALLY TWISTY.

[Dinging]

Louisa asks, ZEKE, DID YOU NOT KNOW THIS STICKER MEANS "LIBRARY?" THE LIBRARY GOES BY THE BIG, BIG TREE.

[Door opening]

Malik opens the front door. He holds a helmet and has his bicycle behind him.

Malik says, COME ON, ZADIE. RIDE BIKES WITH ME. IT'S TOO NICE TO BE INSIDE.

Zadie says, I WANT TO PLAY TOWN. ASK SAMMY, OR JUNJUN.

[Malik sighing]

Malik says, I DID, THEY'RE BUSY.

Malik flops down on a couch.

Malik says, IF TODAY WAS HARVEST DAY, THEN WE'D ALL BE OUTSIDE.

Zeke asks, WHAT'S HARVEST DAY?

Zadie asks, YOU DON'T REMEMBER FROM LAST YEAR?

Zeke shakes his head and says, MMMM.

[Cheerful music plays]

Louisa says, I REMEMBER FROM LAST YEAR. THERE'S A CARROT AND A TOMATO, THEN THEY DANCE AND LOOK AT THE MOON.

Malik says, ACTUALLY, HARVEST DAY COMES ONCE A YEAR, AND IT'S THE BEST DAY, BECAUSE EVERYONE STOPS BEING BUSY AND GOES OUTSIDE TO PICK VEGETABLES.

Zadie says, AND WE COOK A GIGANTO MEAL AND EAT IT, AND PLAY IN THE THANKFULNESS BOWL, BECAUSE MAINLY, IT'S A DAY FOR BEING THANKFUL.

[Boinging]

Zeke jumps excitedly.

Zeke says, OOH, OOH, OOH! LET'S HAVE A HARVEST DAY! WHEN IS IT?

Malik says, YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN IT'LL BE. IT'S UP TO KAT AND KIT. WHENEVER THEY THINK THE VEGETABLES AT THE SOW AND GROW ARE RIPE AND READY TO PICK, THEY'LL BLOW THE HARVEST

[Blowing]

Malik says, HORN.

[Gasping, upbeat music plays]

Malik says, DID YOU HEAR THAT? MY WISH CAME TRUE.

The children shout, IT'S HARVEST DAY!

[Boinging]

Everyone jumps excitedly.

Zadie, Zeke, and Louisa shout, YAY!

Malik says, HURRY, GET YOUR BIKES! I'LL MEET YOU AT THE SOW AND GROW.

Over a speaker, Mr. E. announces, HOWDY, FOLKS, MR. E. HERE.

[Blowing]

Over a speaker, Mr. E. announces, JUST BLOWING MY NOSE.

[Blowing, slide whistle, chuckling, rustling]

Mr. E. throws a hanky away and takes out another one.

Over a speaker, Mr. E. announces, SPEAKING OF NOSES, BE SURE TO BLOW YOUR HONKER.

[Blowing, rock music plays]

Over a speaker, Mr. E. announces, ON AN EEZY-SNEEZY. BEST HANKY YOU'LL EVER OWN, ON SALE THIS WEEK.

[Malik groaning]

[Upbeat music plays]

At the Sow and Grow, Kat gently squeezes a tomato on a vine.

Kat says, PERFECT SHADE OF RED. JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF SQUISH AND THE SMELL...

[Sniffing]

Kat says, OH, EARTH...

[Sniffing]

Kat says, WITH A TOUCH OF PLUM AND SUN.

Kat kisses her claw.

Kat says, MWAH.

Kit says, THE TOMATOES ARE RIPE.

Kit checks a box next to a picture of tomatoes on a list.

[Slide whistle, footsteps pattering]

Kat takes out a ruler and measures a pole bean.

Kat says, RIGHT LENGTH.

[Slide whistle, snapping]

Kat snaps the pole bean in half.

Kat says, PERFECT SNAP.

Kit says, THE POLE BEANS ARE RIPE.

[Pencil scratching]

Kit checks a box next to a picture of pole beans.

Kat says, EVERYTHING IS RIPE AND READY TO EAT. YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS.

Kit and Kat say, TIME TO BLOW THE HARVEST HORN.

[Kit inhaling deeply, slide whistle, horn blaring]

Kit takes out the harvest horn and blows it.

[Bright music plays]

Zadie asks, IS THAT THE FOR REAL HARVEST HORN?

Malik replies, NAH, I BET IT'S MR. E. SELLING PARTY TRUMPETS.

[Slide whistle]

Super appears wearing a pink hat with measuring tape wrapped around it like a ribbon. She picks up Zeke and Louisa.

Super says, GOT MY HAT READY TO GO. HURRY, KIDDOS, IT'S HARVEST DAY.

Zadie and Malik ask, FOR REAL?

[Motor rattling, upbeat music plays]

Mr. E. drives a forklift away from the tree. Sammy and Quique ride their skateboards behind him. The wombat family and their neighbours walk on a winding path around the tree.

Everyone in the Treeborhood sings, IT’S A DAY THAT WE WAIT FOR, A DAY WE HOLD SO DEAR.

Malik and Zadie sing, SO DEAR.

[Slide whistle, upbeat music continues]

Leiko and Duffy hop on the path, and Ellie lands behind them. She twirls and then runs. Everyone gathers on the grass by the Sow and Grow.

Everyone in the Treeborhood sings, OUR HARVEST DAY, OUR THANKFUL DAY. THAT COMES JUST ONCE A YEAR, SO SING YAY FOR HARVEST DAY. SING IT LOUD AND CLEAR. TIME TO HARVEST AND COOK AND PLAY ON SUCH A YUMMY DAY. LET'S BE THANKFUL FOR THE YEAR.

[Music ends, boinging]

Kit and Kat jump onto overturned baskets. Kit carries his clipboard.

[Cheerful music plays]

Kat says, HELLO AND WELCOME TO HARVEST DAY. WE HAVE HERE YOUR PICKING ASSIGNMENTS.

Kit says, Super says, OUR FAMILY WILL DIG THE SWEET POTATOES AND HARVEST THE PUMPKINS.

[Boinging]

The crab children jump excitedly.

Cece cheers, WEE!

Carly cheers, YAY!

Clyde cheers, WOO HOO!

Kat says, ELLIE, YOU'RE IN CHARGE OF POLE BEANS AND CALLALOO.

Ellie cheers, YAY!

Kit says, SUPER, ZADIE, ZEKE, MALIK, YOU'RE PULLING UP THE CARROTS AND ONIONS.

[Wombat family cheering]

Super says, HOTDIGGITY!

Kat says, SAMMY AND QUIQUE, SHAKE THE PLANTAINS.

[Boinging, Sammy and Quique cheering]

Kit says, LOUISA, DUFFY, LEIKO, YOU'LL HOP TILL YOU DROP THOSE SHIITAKE MUSHROOMS INTO THE BASKETS.

[Boinging]

Louisa jumps excitedly.

Louisa cheers, WOO HOO!

Kat says, MR. E, YOU'LL PICK THE TOMATOES.

[Boinging, cheerful music continues]

Mr. E. jumps and taps his heels together.

MR. E. says, ALRIGHT!

Kit says, AMADO AND GABRIELA, YOUR FAMILY CAN HARVEST THE KANGKONG.

[Cheering]

Kat says, EVERYONE, GRAB A BASKET, GET SET...

[Kat imitating drum roll]

Kat continues, AND HARVEST!

[Whooshing]

Thick fog appears as everyone leaves to find their picking assignment.

Kit says, OH, DEAR.

Kat says, WHAT IS THIS? I CAN'T SEE A THING.

Zeke and Louisa walk towards each other with their hands out in front of them.

Zeke asks, WHAT HAPPENED? WHERE'D THE SUN GO?

Louisa replies, DO YOU NOT KNOW ABOUT FOG, ZEKE? IT'S LIKE A CLOUD THAT'S DOWN ON THE GROUND.

[Solemn music notes play]

Super says, FOG'S SO THICK I CAN'T SEE MY OWN HAND. OOH, THERE IT IS.

[Super chuckling]

Kat says, CAREFUL, EVERYONE. TRY NOT TO STEP ON ANY VEGGIES.

[Tomato splatting]

Zadie says, SORRY, I SMOOSHED A TOMATO.

[Tomato splatting]

Mr. E. says, OOH, THERE WENT ANOTHER ONE.

Kit says, OKAY, OKAY, COME BACK, EVERYONE. FOLLOW THE SOUND OF MY VOICE. NOW, GATHER ROUND, HERE. OVER HERE!

[Sad music plays, rustling]

Everyone gathers in front of Kit and Kat.

Kat says, IT'S TOO DANGEROUS FOR THE VEGGIES TO TRY AND HARVEST IN A FOG.

Kit says, GOTTA SIT TIGHT 'TIL THE FOG'S ALL GONE.

Zeke asks, WHAT HAPPENS IF THE FOG DOESN'T GO? WILL WE HAVE TO CANCEL HARVEST DAY?

Kat says, WELL, I HATE TO SAY IT, MAYBE.

[Everyone gasping, exclaiming, groaning]

Louisa says, I ONLY JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT HARVEST DAY, AND NOW IT'S CANCELLED? NO FAIR.

Malik says, IF ONLY OUR EYES COULD SEE THROUGH FOG.

[Upbeat music plays]

Mr. E. says, WAIT A MINUTE! WE SELL FOG GOGGLES AT THE EVERYTHING EMPORIUM.

[Slide whistle]

In a memory, Mr. E. stands behind the counter in the Everything Emporium. Leiko hops to the counter, and Mr. E. offers her goggles. Leiko holds up her hand and shakes her head.

Mr. E. says, FOG GOGGLES, GET YOUR FOG GOGGLES! GUARANTEED TO SEE THROUGH ANY THICKNESS OF FOG.

[Popping]

The memory ends.

In the present, Mr. E. says, WELL, THEY DON'T ACTUALLY SELL, 'CAUSE NO ONE EVER BUYS THEM, BUT I HAVE THEM. I MIGHT NEED HELP FINDING THEM.

Malik and Zadie say, WE'LL HELP.

Mr. E. says, GREAT! NOW, WHERE'S THAT ZIP LINE?

[Whooshing, yelping, thumping]

Mr. E. runs forward into the fog.

Malik asks, MR. E, ARE YOU OKAY?

Mr. E. says, I'M GOOD, NO WORRIES.

[Slide whistle, cheering, thumping]

Everyone flinches.

Mr. E. says, OW! BACK IN A JIFF WITH THE GOGGLES, FOLKS.

[Crashing]

[Upbeat music plays, thudding, slide whistles

Mr. E., Malik, and Zadie arrive at the Everything Emporium, and the front door shakes. The door opens, and everyone falls on the floor.

Mr. E. says, NOW TO FIND THOSE GOGGLES. WHERE DID I PUT THEM? HM, TO THE DEEP SIX! FOLLOW ME!

[Whooshing]

Malik asks, THE WHAT?

Malik and Zadie shrug at each other.

[Elevator bell dinging, whooshing]

Mr. E., Malik, and Zadie dance in the elevator.

Mr. E. sings, DOWN, DOWN, SIX FLOORS BELOW THE GROUND.

[Elevator bell dinging]

Mr. E. says, THIS WAY, HURRY, HURRY! NO TIME TO LOSE.

[Bright music plays]

Mr. E. leads Zadie and Malik into a storage room with shelves filled with boxes.

Malik and Zadie say, WHOA.

Malik asks, WHAT IS THIS?

Mr. E. replies, THIS IS MY DEEP SIX STORAGE FACILITY, WHERE I KEEP ITEMS THAT DON'T SELL, LIKE FOG GOGGLES.

[Slide whistle]

Zadie peers into an open box of sparkling mittens.

Zadie says, AND SPARKLE MITTS. YOU'VE GOT TEN ZILLION BOXES OF SPARKLE MITTS.

Mr. E. looks at a piece of paper.

Mr. E. says, 64 BOXES, TO BE PRECISE. I DON'T EXACTLY REMEMBER WHERE I STORED THE FOG GOGGLES, BUT I DO KNOW THAT EVERY BOX HAS A SYMBOL ON THE FRONT SHOWING WHAT'S INSIDE. I DESIGNED THE SYMBOLS MYSELF.

[Bright music notes play]

Malik asks, UH, WHAT'S THE SYMBOL FOR FOG GOGGLES?

Mr. E. says, OH, THAT I DO NOT KNOW.

Zadie says, IF THE SYMBOL FOR SPARKLE MITTS IS A SPARKLY MITTEN, THEN THE SYMBOL FOR FOG GOGGLES…

Malik says, PROBABLY LOOKS LIKE GOGGLES OR GLASSES, RIGHT?

Mr. E. says, MAYBE, MAYBE NOT.

[Slide whistle, upbeat music plays]

Malik points at a box on the top shelf with a symbol resembling a sideways number eight.

Malik says, HM, THERE! THAT SYMBOL TOTALLY LOOKS LIKE GOGGLES.

[Grunting, boinging, whooshing, slide whistle]

Malik jumps, waving his arms in the air.

Malik says, I CAN'T REACH!

Mr. E. says, NO WORRIES. JUST…

[Screaming, rumbling, slide whistle, exciting music plays]

Mr. E. rides on a rolling cart. He reaches for the box and loses his balance. The cart rolls away, and Mr. E. dangles from the top shelf.

Mr. E. says, UH, EEK?

Zadie says, I'LL SAVE YOU, MR. E.

[Slide whistle, rustling]

Zadie pushes a box with a pillow symbol across the floor.

Zadie says, THAT SYMBOL LOOKS LIKE A BLANKET.

[Rustling]

Zadie opens the box and takes out a pillow.

Zadie says, PILLOWS? EVEN BETTER.

[Slide whistle, Mr. E. yelling, grunting]

Zadie puts the pillow on the floor beneath Mr. E. He grabs the sideways-eight box and falls on the pillow.

Mr. E. says, AH, GOGGLES ON THE BOX, GOGGLES IN THE BOX. CALL ME A GENIUS; I WON'T OBJECT.

Mr. E. opens the box and finds eights.

Mr. E. says, WHAT? SO, THAT'S WHERE I PUT ALL MY EIGHTS. FOR MAILBOXES AND HOUSE ADDRESSES. I PROBABLY SHOULD STORE MY BOXES OF EIGHTS THIS WAY, SO CAN I TELL THEY'RE NUMBERS AND NOT GOGGLES.

[Slide whistles]

He turns the box. Malik and Zadie nod.

Malik says, I DON'T SEE ANYTHING THAT LOOKS GOGGLEY.

[Dinging]

Mr. E. says, I WONDER IF I MADE A SYMBOL FOR FOG INSTEAD OF FOR GOGGLES. LET ME THINK, HM...

[Upbeat music plays]

Zadie asks, COULD YOU THINK A LITTLE BIT FASTER, MR. E? OUR FRIENDS ARE WAITING.

Outside, everyone sits on the ground. Kit and Kat stand on their overturned baskets.

Louisa sings, to the tune of “Rain, Rain, Go Away,” FOG, FOG, GO AWAY, YOU'RE KIND OF WRECKING HARVEST DAY.

The fog clears.

Louisa says, HUH.

[Muttering, exclamations]

Kit sings, FOG, FOG, YOU WENT AWAY! TIME TO JUMP AND YELL HOORAY!

[Cheering]

Kat says, EVERYONE, GRAB A BASKET AND HARVEST!

The thick fog returns.

[Groaning]

Kit says, OH, NO, IT'S BACK.

Kat says, YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.

In the storage room, Malik points to a box with a cloud and wavy lines on the side.

Malik asks, HOW ABOUT THIS? COULD THIS BE THE SYMBOL FOR FOG?

[Slide whistle, blowing nose]

In a memory, Mr. E. blows his nose on a hankie.

The memory ends.

In the present, Mr. E. says, NOPE, THAT'S THE SYMBOL FOR SNEEZE, AS IN EEZY-SNEEZIES, THE HANKIE NO ONE WILL BUY BECAUSE IT'S SO TICKLY, IT MAKES YOU SNEEZE EVEN MORE.

[Mr. E. sighing]

Malik asks, MR. E?

[Dramatic music plays]

Mr. E. says, I AM UPSET. VEXED! ANNOYED! WHOSE IDEA WAS FOG? IS THERE ANY EXCUSE FOR FOG? THERE IS NOT! YOU LISTEN TO ME, FOG. NOT ONLY ARE YOU RUINING HARVEST DAY, BUT YOU'VE STUCK ME WITH FOG GOGGLES I CAN'T SELL OR EVEN FIND!

[Rustling]

Mr. E. flops down on the floor.

Zadie asks, WHAT ABOUT THIS GREY FROWNY FACE?

Malik asks, HOW COULD THAT BE A SYMBOL FOR FOG?

Zadie says, ‘CAUSE IT KIND OF LOOKS LIKE MR. E'S FACE WHEN HE'S TALKING ABOUT FOG.

[Gentle music plays]

Mr. E. says, YES, AND THE FROWN IS GREY BECAUSE FOG IS GREY.

Zadie asks, DO THESE TWO DOTS MEAN EYES?

Mr. E. says, YES, EYES BECAUSE YOU CAN SEE THROUGH THE FOG.

[Slide whistle, boinging]

Mr. E. cups his hands around his eyes, imitating goggles. He jumps excitedly.

Mr. E. says, THAT'S IT! THAT'S MY SYMBOL FOR FOG GOGGLES! I AM 96 PERCENT POSITIVE.

[Slide whistles, rustling, cheering, upbeat music plays]

They open the box and take out fog goggles.

[Music ends]

At the Sow and Grow, everyone waits in the fog.

Super asks, ANYONE GOT A SONG TO SING? SOMETHING NICE AND PEPPY?

[Sad music plays]

JunJun sings, THIS FOG IS SO BAD. IT IS MAKING ME SAD.

[Slide whistle, upbeat music plays, whooshing]

Malike, Zadie, and Mr. E. slide on the zipline.

Malik says, WE'RE BACK! WITH GOGGLES.

[Whooshing, slide whistle]

Mr. E. drops goggles.

Mr. E. says, STICK OUT YOUR HANDS, AND WE'LL GIVE YOU A PAIR.

[Rattling]

Everyone catches fog goggles and puts them on.

Kat says, AMAZING!

Kit says, OH, I CAN SEE.

[Inhaling deeply, harvest horn blaring, slide whistle]

Kit shouts, TO THE HARVEST, EVERYONE!

[Cheering, upbeat music plays, rustling]

Everyone harvests the vegetables and fruits. Kit and Kat catch sweet potatoes in their baskets. Sammy and Quique shake a tree, and plantains fall to the ground. Ellie picks pole beans.

Everyone sings, IT'S A DAY THAT WE WAIT FOR, A DAY WE HOLD SO DEAR.

Malik and Zadie sing, SO DEAR.

[Rustling, popping, slide whistles, munching]

Zeke, Zadie, and Malik pull carrots out of the garden. By the tomato plants, MR. E. eats the tomatoes he picks. He drops a small tomato into his basket. Duffy picks mushrooms and throws them over her shoulders into a basket carried by Leiko.

Everyone sings, OUR HARVEST DAY, OUR THANKFUL DAY THAT COMES JUST ONCE A YEAR. SO, SING YAY FOR HARVEST DAY, SING IT LOUD AND CLEAR. TIME TO HARVEST AND COOK AND PLAY ON SUCH A YUMMY DAY. LET'S BE THANKFUL FOR THE YEAR.

The fog clears, and Kit and Kat take off their goggles.

Kat says, THE FOG'S GONE! JUST IN TIME FOR OUR HARVEST CELEBRATION.

[Cheering, yelping, laughing, rustling]

Everyone but Mr. E. removes their fog goggles and throws them into the air. Mr. E. catches the goggles in a basket.

Mr. E. says, CAREFUL, I CAN STILL SELL THOSE! 50 PERCENT OFF USED FOG GOGGLES. WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.

Lively music plays]

At the top of a hill, Malik and Zeke stand beside a food basket. Malik licks his lips. He and Zeke wave at Zadie, who stands at the bottom of the hill with a box.

Malik and Zeke sing, BOP BADABOP. BOP BADABOP, BOP BOP.

[Creaking, whooshing]

Zadie stretches and then pushes the box. She falls on the ground.

Zadie sings, I'VE GOTTA GET THIS BOX TO THE TOP OF THE HILL. I'M GONNA PUSH WITH ALL MY MIGHT. GOTTA PUSH HARDER, THAT DIDN'T WORK RIGHT.

[Slide whistle]

Everyone sings, WHAT ELSE SHOULD WE TRY? WE CAN'T STAND STILL. WE GOTTA GET THIS BOX TO THE TOP OF THE HILL. WE GOTTA GET THIS BOX TO THE TOP OF THE HILL.

Zeke says, OH, YES!

[Creaking, lively music continues, whooshing, slide whistle]

Zadie pushes with her back against the box. She frowns and leans against it. Then, she jumps to the other side of the box and pulls.

As the sun sets, Zadie sings, I'M GONNA PULL WITH ALL MY MIGHT. GOTTA PULL HARDER, THAT DIDN'T WORK RIGHT. GOTTA PULL HARDER, THAT DIDN'T WORK RIGHT.

Everyone sings, WE KNOW WHAT TO TRY, NO, WE CAN'T STAND STILL. WE GOTTA GET THIS BOX TO THE TOP OF THE HILL. WE GOTTA GET THIS BOX TO THE TOP OF THE HILL.

[Slide whistle, whooshing]

Malik and Zeke roll down the hill. They push the box, and Zadie pulls it. As night falls, they move it to the top of the hill.

Malik sings, ALL WE HAD TO DO.

Zeke and Zadie sing, ALL WE HAD TO DO WAS COLLABORATE.

Malik sings, COLLABORATE.

They assemble a telescope.

Everyone sings, WHEN WE WORK TOGETHER, THINGS WILL WORK OUT GREAT.

Zeke and Zadie sing, ALL WE HAD TO DO.

Malik sings, ALL WE HAD TO DO.

Zeke and Zadie sing, WAS COLLABORATE.

Malik sings, COLLABORATE.

Everyone sings, WHEN WE WORK TOGETHER, THINGS WILL WORK OUT GREAT.

Everyone looks through the telescope.

Zeke sings, WOW, THE STARS LOOK SO BRIGHT.

Everyone sings, WE WORKED TOGETHER TO SHARE THIS STARRY NIGHT.

[Music ends]

Episode title: The Treeborhood Thankfulness Stew.

Mr. E. dances beside a basket of leafy vegetables, using some as pompoms.

[Upbeat music plays]

Text reads, “Written by Sherri Stoner. Directed by Jeff Barker, Andrea Gerstmann.”

[Upbeat music plays, rustling, slide whistle]

At the Sow and Grow garden, the community harvests vegetables and fruit. Quique shakes a tree, and plantains fall into a basket held by Carly. JunJun straddles a branch and picks an apple. He drops it to Zadie, who throws it to Malik. Malik puts the apple in a basket full of apples.

[Super cheering, whooshing]

Super says, GREAT WORK, EVERYONE. WE'VE SUCCESSFULLY HARVESTED ALL THE FRUITS AND VEGGIES IN THE SOW AND GROW GARDEN.

[Cheering]

Super says, NOW COMES THE BEST PART, THE HARVEST FEAST AND FESTIVITIES.

[Cheering, slide whistles]

Super points.

Super says, OVER THERE, LET'S GET THINGS SET UP TO COOK, AND OVER THERE, WE CAN PLAY…

Zadie says, THE GREATEST SPORTS EVENT OF THE YEAR, THE TREEBORHOOD THANKFULNESS BOWL!

Super says, LET'S DO THIS!

[Bright music plays, racquets clattering, thumping, rustling, slapping, lighter clicking, fire crackling, pot clinking, Super whistling

Malik and Zeke put two overturned baskets on a playing field. Zadie pushes a scoreboard with two columns, one with a corncob and one with a carrot. Malik, and Zeke put racquets by corncob and carrot signs. Ellie and Amado set up a long table. Sammy and Quique push baskets of food into a line and slap their tails together. Amado lights a campfire, and Super and Ellie put a large pot over it. Super puts two fingers in her mouth and whistles.

Super says, IT'S TIME TO START CREATING THE TRADITIONAL TREEBORHOOD YUMMY TUMMY STEW!

[Mr. E. cheering, boinging]

Beside Malik, Mr. E. jumps excitedly.

Mr. E. says, I LOVE THAT STEW! I'VE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO IT ALL YEAR.

[Tense music plays]

Malik says, BUT FIRST, WE PICK THE OFFICIAL TASTE TESTER FOR THE STEW, RIGHT, GRANDMA?

Super says, THAT'S RIGHT.

[Upbeat music plays]

Mr. E. says, THE TASTE TESTER HAS A VERY IMPORTANT JOB. THEY MAKE SURE THE STEW IS THE YUM-YUM-YUMMIEST IT CAN BE.

[Slide whistles, stew bubbling, splashing, rustling]

Mr. E. imagines the pot full of stew. He thinks of a spoonful of stew, stirring the stew, and a fork poking through soft vegetables.

Mr. E. says, WHICH MEANS, ONE, THE VEGETABLES NEED TO BE IN BITE-SIZED PIECES, TWO, THE STEW CAN'T BE TOO THICK OR TOO THIN, AND THREE, THE VEGGIES MUST BE FULLY COOKED, SO THEY'RE SOFT ENOUGH FOR A FORK TO STICK INTO THEM.

In reality, Mr. E. says, I'VE LONGED TO BE THE TASTE TESTER MY ENTIRE LIFE.

Super says, I WROTE DOWN EVERYBODY'S NAMES ON THESE SLIPS OF PAPER, AND WHOEVER'S NAME I PICK IS THIS YEAR'S TASTE TESTER.

[Duffy drumming, rustling, slide whistle]

Duffy uses drumsticks on a pumpkin. Super reaches into her overturned hat and takes out a slip of paper.

Super says, THIS YEAR, THE TASTE TESTER IS...

Mr. E. crosses his fingers.

Mr. E. says, PICK ME, PICK ME, PICK ME.

Super says, MR. E.

[Mr. E. cheering, whooshing, slide whistle, happy music plays]

Mr. E. leaps high. He lands beside a basket of leafy greens and uses some as pompoms. Mr. E. dances.

Mr. E. says, RAH RAH, SIS, BOOM, BA, YAY, ME, MR. E!

[Gasping, solemn music plays]

Amado holds out a covered display with a golden spoon inside.

Super says, THIS IS THE SPOON EVERY TASTE TESTER HAS USED SINCE THE VERY FIRST TRADITIONAL TREEBORHOOD YUMMY TUMMY STEW WAS MADE.

[Clinking]

Super lifts the cover, and Mr. E. picks up the spoon.

Mr. E. says, OH.

Super says, NOW TO PICK THE OFFICIAL STEW CHEF.

[Duffy drumming, rustling, slide whistle]

Super picks another slip of paper out of her hat.

Super says, THE TREEBORHOODIAN WHO WILL CREATE THE STEW AND MAKE SURE IT'S UP TO THE TASTE TESTER'S STANDARDS IS...ZEKE.

Zeke says, YES! WE'RE A TEAM, MR. E.

[Mr. E. chuckling nervously]

Mr. E. says, YES.

[Chiming music plays]

Ellie holds a chest.

Ellie says, ZEKE, I PRESENT TO YOU THE OFFICIAL TREEBORHOOD HARVEST'S CHEF'S HAT.

[Rustling, chiming, Zeke sniffing]

Ellie takes the hat out and puts it on Zeke’s head. The hat slides down over his eyes and he pushes it back up.

Zeke says, IT SMELLS OLD.

Zadie says, NOW YOU GET TO PICK A HELPER, ZEKE. WHO ARE YOU GONNA CHOOSE?

[Slide whistle, gentle music plays]

The hat slides down over Zeke’s eyes. He moves his pointing finger across the gathered people.

Zeke says, HELPER, HELPER, WHO DO I CHOOSE? HELPER, HELPER, I CHOOSE YOU.

[Rustling, slide whistle]

Zeke lifts the hat and checks who he is pointing at.

Zeke says, LOUISA, YOU'RE MY HELPER.

Mr. E.’s mouth falls open. Zeke and Louisa dance.

Louisa says, YIPPEE!

Kit and Kat stand by the pot over the campfire.

Kit says, WE'LL KEEP AN EYE ON THE FIRE FOR YOU.

Zadie says, THE REST OF US WILL PLAY IN THE...

[Imitating fanfare]

Zadie continues, ANNUAL TREEBORHOOD THANKFULNESS BOWL!

[Everyone cheering, laughing, upbeat music plays]

On the playing field, Super says, OKAY, DIVIDE YOURSELVES INTO TWO TEAMS. TEAM CORNCOB ON THIS SIDE. TEAM CARROT ON THAT SIDE.

[Racquets clattering]

Zadie, JunJun, Leiko, Gabriela, Ellie, Sammy, and Quique gather at the team carrot sign. Zadie passes racquets down the row. By the team carrot sign, Super, Mali, Duffy, Amado, Clyde, Cece, Carly, and Kaya get their racquets.

By the scoreboard, Mr. E. says, AS ALL OF YOU PLAY, I SHALL SIT ON THE SIDELINES IN MY OFFICIAL TASTE TESTER CHAIR.

[Clattering, grunting, yelping, slide whistle]

Mr. E. sits on a lawn chair, and it closes. Super brings him a keyboard. Super hits the lawn chair, and it opens.

Super says, MR. E., YOU COULD ALSO BE REFEREE. WHEN SOMEONE SCORES, YOU PLAY A HAPPY SOUND.

[Super plays a happy chord]

Mr. E. says, AND IF THEY MESS UP...

[Buzzing]

Mr. E. says, YOU'RE OUT OF BOUNDS.

[Buzzing, slide whistle]

Duffy bounces a tomato on her palm.

Duffy asks, EVERYONE REMEMBER THE RULES TO THE THANKFULNESS BOWL?

[Racquet thunking, slide whistles, happy music plays]

Duffy imagines Leiko hitting the tomato, which is being used as a ball, to Gabriela, who hits it to Sammy. Sammy hits the ball into a basket.

Duffy narrates, YOU MUST PASS THE BALL TO EVERY ONE OF YOUR TEAMMATES AND SAY SOMETHING YOU'RE THANKFUL FOR. THEN, THE LAST PLAYER HITS IT INTO THE BASKET. THE TRICKY PART IS, THE OTHER TEAM CAN TRY TO GRAB THE BALL AS YOU PASS IT.

[Thunking, chuckling]

Zadie takes the ball out of the basket and throws it into the air. Amado runs past and hits the ball with his racquet.

In reality, Duffy says, YOU SEE? IT'S TRICKY.

[Mr. E. plays a happy chord]

Louisa asks, WHAT SHOULD WE DO FIRST, CHEF ZEKE?

Zeke says, MAYBE WE OUGHT TO WASH THE VEGGIES BEFORE WE COOK 'EM?

[Squeaking, water spraying, whooping, upbeat music plays]

Kit brings a hose to the baskets, and Kat turns the faucet. The water sprays and Kit flies up into the air.

Kit shouts, I LOVE WHEN THIS HAPPENS.

[Squeaking]

Kat turns the faucet, and the water stops.

Zeke says, THE VEGGIES ARE NOW ALL CLEAN. TO CREATE THE TRADITIONAL TREEBORHOOD YUMMY TUMMY STEW, IT HAS EVERY KIND OF VEGGIE WE HARVESTED.

[Slide whistles, thumping]

Zeke throws vegetables into the pot.

Zeke says, PLANTAINS, POLE BEANS, CALLALOO, KANGKONG, SHIITAKE MUSHROOMS.

Louisa says, CARROTS, SWEET POTATOES, AND TOMATOES.

[Upbeat music plays]

On the playing field, Kaya says, I'M THANKFUL FOR FRIENDSHIPS.

[Racquet thumping]

Kaya hits the ball to Super, and she catches it.

Super says, AMADO, I'M THANKFUL YOU TEND TO THE TREEBORHOOD.

[Racquet thumping]

Super hits the ball to Amado, and he catches it.

Amada says, I'M THANKFUL I JUST SCORED.

[Laughing, slide whistle, happy chord plays, bell dinging]

Amado hits the ball into the basket. Mr. E. plays the keyboard and then hits a button on a device. On the scoreboard, the number one appears beneath the corncob.

Zeke says, TASTE TEST TIME, MR. E.

[Buzzing, rhythmic music plays]

Mr. E. picks up the spoon with a full-sized sweet potato.

Mr. E. says, MM, I'M SORRY, ZEKE, THIS WON'T DO. THE VEGGIES ARE TOO BIG. I CAN'T EVEN GET THIS SWEET POTATO IN MY MOUTH. AS OFFICIAL TASTE TESTER, I INSIST THE VEGGIES BE CHOPPED INTO BITE-SIZED PIECES, SO THAT THEY FIT IN OUR MOUTHS.

Zeke says, WE NEED TO IMPROVE OUR STEW BY CUTTING ALL THE VEGGIES INTO BITE-SIZED PIECES.

[Snapping, upbeat music plays]

Kat says, WE CAN CHOP THEM.

Kat and Kit snap their claws.

Kit says, WE HAVE BUILTIN CHOPPERS.

[Stew sloshing, vegetables thumping]

Kat ladles vegetables out of the pot onto cutting boards.

Kat says, HERE WE GO.

[Both muttering, snapping, splashing]

Kit and Kat chop the vegetables and put them into the stew.

On the playing field, Zadie says, AND I'M THANKFUL FOR THIS.

[Racquet thumping, boinging, rustling]

Kaya hits the ball into the basket. Malik dives at the ball and misses.

Zadie says, YES!

Mr. E. says, SCORE!

[Happy chord plays]

Zeke says, TASTE TEST TIME, MR. TASTE TESTER.

[Rustling, splashing, slide whistle, chewing, swallowing]

Mr. E. picks up the spoon and turns it over. A single drop falls, and the rest of the stew sticks to the spoon. He eats the spoonful.

Mr. E. says, EW, IT'S TOO THICK. REMEMBER, THE STEW CAN'T BE TOO THICK. WE DON'T WANT A CHEWY STEWY. TRY AGAIN, YOU CAN DO IT!

Zeke says, WE NEED TO IMPROVE THE STEW AND MAKE IT NOT SO THICK. BUT HOW? THINKING POSITIONS.

[Boinging, chiming]

Louisa stands on her toes, and Zeke stands on his head. Kit and Kat each balance on a claw.

[Slide whistle, rustling, upbeat music plays]

Louisa remembers watching Zeke make a mud pie.

Louisa narrates, HEY, REMEMBER WHEN WE MADE MUD PIES, AND THE MUD WAS TOO THICK TO MASH?

Zeke says, YEAH.

[Whooshing, water spraying, slide whistle, mud sloshing]

Zeke remembers Louisa spraying water on the mud.

Zeke says, WE ADDED WATER TO MAKE THE MUD THINNER AND GOOIER SO WE COULD MASH IT.

In the present Zeke says, LET'S SEE IF ADDING WATER MAKES THE STEW THINNER.

[Faucet squeaking, water spraying, bright music plays]

Zeke stands on a small step ladder over the stew pot holding the hose. Louisa turns the faucet, and water sprays out of Zeke’s hose.

[Exciting music plays]

Kit and Kat say, STOP! YOU'LL PUT OUT THE FIRE!

[Faucet squeaking, stew splashing]

Louisa turns the faucet, and Zeke stirs the stew.

Zeke says, THE STEW LOOKS THINNER WITH ALL THE WATER IN IT. LET'S SEE WHAT MR. E. THINKS.

[Upbeat music plays]

On the playing field, Amado says, DUFFY, I'M THANKFUL FOR ALL THE YUMMY CUPCAKES YOU BAKE.

[Racquet thumping, Amado grunting]

Amado hits the ball to Duffy.

Duffy says, AND I'M THANKFUL...

[Grunting, whooshing]

Duffy swings her racquet and misses the ball.

Duffy says, WELL, NOT FOR THAT.

[Buzzing]

MR. TASTE TESTER, TASTE IT OUT.

Louisa says, IT'S REALLY, REALLY, REALLY GOOD.

[Slurping, yelping, buzzing]

Mr. E. says, THIS STEW IS FAR TOO THIN AND WATERY.

Louisa says, FIRST, YOU SAID IT WAS TOO THICK. NOW IT'S TOO THIN? MR. E, CAN YOU NOT MAKE UP YOUR MIND?

Mr. E. Says, REMEMBER? THE STEW CAN'T BE TOO THICK OR TOO THIN.

Zeke and Louisa walk back to the pot.

Kit asks, IS THE STEW THE YUM-YUM-YUMMIEST IT CAN BE?

Zeke says, NOPE.

[Kit and Kat groaning]

Kit asks, WELL, HOW CAN WE IMPROVE IT? WHAT CAN WE DO?

[Upbeat music plays]

Louisa says, WE NEED TO MAKE IT THICK, BUT NOT TOO THICK. HOW DO WE DO THAT?

Zeke says, HM, MAYBE WE CAN MAKE IT THICKER IF WE ADD THICKER VEGETABLES?

Zeke runs to the top of the small ladder and looks at the baskets of vegetables.

Zeke says, LET ME SEE.

[Tomato splattering]

Louisa runs and squishes a tomato.

Louisa says, EWIE! TOMATO GOOEY ON MY FOOT.

Zeke says, THAT TOMATO GOO LOOKS PRETTY THICK. LET'S ADD MORE TOMATOES TO THE STEW TO THICKEN IT.

[Slide whistle, splashing, upbeat music continues]

Kit and Kat dump a basket of tomatoes into the stew, and Zeke stirs it.

Zeke says, THAT LOOKS MUCH, MUCH THICKER.

[Whooshing]

[Upbeat music plays]

On the playing field, the score is two for team corncob and three for team carrot.

Malik says, CARLY, I'M GRATEFUL YOUR FAMILY GREW ALL THE VEGGIES FOR THE HARVEST.

[Malik grunting, racquet thumping, boinging, rustling, slide whistle]

Malik hits the ball to Cece. Cece burrows underground, emerges, and hits it into the basket.

Malik, Kaya, Carly, and Cece cheer, YAY! ALRIGHT!

[Happy chord plays, dinging]

The score changes to a three-three tie.

Zeke says, TASTE TESTER, TEST THIS OUT.

Mr. E. says, OOH, THIS DEFINITELY IS NOT TOO THICK OR TOO THIN. LET'S SEE IF IT PASSES THE FORK TEST.

[Slide whistle, tense music plays, squishing]

Mr. E. says, EXCELLENT, INDEED. THE VEGGIES ARE FULLY COOKED, BUT HOW DOES IT TASTE?

[Slurping, tense music plays]

Mr. E. tastes the stew.

[Happy music plays, dinging, stew sloshing]

Mr. E. says, THIS IS THE YUM-YUM-YUMMIEST TRADITIONAL TREEBORHOOD YUMMY TUMMY STEW EVER CREATED! ONE, THE VEGETABLES ARE IN BITE-SIZE PIECES; TWO, THE STEW ISN'T TOO THICK OR TOO THIN; AND THREE, THE VEGGIES ARE FULLY COOKED, SO THEY'RE SOFT ENOUGH FOR A FORK TO STICK INTO THEM. IT'S TIME TO CHOW DOWN!

Zeke and Louisa cheer, YAY!

[Happy chord plays]

Super Says, FINAL SCORE, CORNCOBS THREE, CARROTS THREE. IT'S A TIE!

[Cheering, happy chord plays, laughing, upbeat music plays]

Everyone gathers around the long table with their bowls of stew.

Kit says, PERFECT.

[Gentle music plays]

Zeke says, BEFORE WE FEED OUR FACES, LOUISA AND I WANT TO SAY WE ARE VERY THANKFUL AND HAPPY AND GLAD THAT WE LIVE IN THE TREEBORHOOD WITH ALL OF YOU.

Louisa says, 'CAUSE DID YOU NOT KNOW WE LOVE YOU?

[Mr. E. sniffling]

Mr. E. says, THAT'S THE SWEETEST THING I'VE EVER HEARD. I BELIEVE I SPEAK FOR EVERYONE WHEN I SAY, DID YOU NOT KNOW WE LOVE YOU, TOO?

[Everyone cheering]

Mr. E. says, NOW, LET'S EAT.

[Everyone chewing]

Everyone says, IT'S THE YUM-YUM-YUMMIEST!

Super hugs Zeke.

Super says, GREAT WORK, LITTLE SQUISH.

[Upbeat music plays]

Zeke sings, IT'S A DAY THAT WE WAIT FOR, A DAY WE HOLD SO DEAR. OUR HARVEST DAY, OUR THANKFUL DAY THAT COMES JUST ONCE A YEAR.
Everyone sings, SO. SING YAY FOR HARVEST DAY SING IT LOUD AND CLEAR. TIME TO HARVEST AND COOK AND PLAY ON SUCH A YUMMY DAY. LET'S BE THANKFUL FOR THE YEAR.
