Donkey Hodie, a yellow donkey with a purple mane and long eyelashes, exits the windmill through a doorway.
Donkey says, HEE-HAW!
The singers sing, DONKEY HODIE.
A person sings, SHE LOVES ADVENTURE, SHE LOVES SURPRISE. WHEN THERE'S A PROBLEM, SHE TRIES AND TRIES.
[Slide whistle]
The singers sing, LET'S GO, DONKEY HODIE.
The person sings, IF SHE FAILS, SHE'LL BOUNCE RIGHT BACK. COME ON, DUCK DUCK, GIVE A QUACK.
In front of Grampy Hodie’s house, Donkey jumps onto a drum and bounces off. Grampy Hodie watches her bounce up in front of Duck Duck in the sky.
[Slide whistle]
Duck Duck, a green duck, quacks, KEE-KEE! QUACK!
The singers sing, DONKEY HODIE.
In Bob Dog’s front yard, Donkey and Bob Dog, a brown dog, ride on top of bouncing balls.
[Boings]
The person sings, PLAYS WITH BOB DOG, THEY HAVE A BALL. IT'S FUN FOR THEM, IT'S FUN FOR ALL.
Donkey bounces off her ball and lands in front of Purple Panda’s spaceship.
[Boinging, slide whistle]
Bob Dog barks, BOW-WOW!

In outer space, Donkey and Purple Panda ride in the spaceship.
[Whoosh]

Panda falls backwards, and the ball flies out of his hands.
[Thudding, slide whistle]

Bob Dog catches the ball.
Donkey cheers, YEAH!
Panda cheers, HEY-O!
Donkey says, GOOD CATCH, BOB!
Bob Dog says, YEAH, WELL, WHEN A BALL IS THROWN FAR OR NEAR, NEVER FEAR, BOB DOG IS HERE!
Donkey says, HEE-HAW!
[Donkey giggling]
Panda points to a hot air balloon in the sky behind Donkey and Bob Dog.
Panda asks, HEY, WHAT'S THAT OVER THERE?
[Soothing music plays, wind blows. whimpering]
Bob Dog says, YIPE.
Donkey says, IT'S A HOT AIR BALLOON! AND THERE'S HARRIETT ELIZABETH COW IN THE BASKET!
Panda says, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BALLOON!
Harriett shouts, YOO-HOO, EVERYBODY!
Bob Dog shakes.
[Whimpering]
Bob Dog says, I THINK IT'S TIME FOR ME TO GO HOME NOW! OKAY, BYE!
Bob Dog runs away.
[Slide whistle]
Panda says, DID BOB DOG SAY HE HAD TO GO HOME?
Donkey says, YEAH, BUT WHY ALL OF A SUDDEN?
In his house, Bob Dog hides, shuddering under a blanket in his dog bed.
[Bob Dog whimpering, teeth chattering, tense music plays]
Bob Dog sneaks to his window and peeks outside.
[Knocking on the door]
Bob Dog runs back to the dog bed and hides.
[Slide whistle, dramatic music plays]
Bob Dog says, YIPE! WHO IS IT?
Donkey and Panda say, YOUR BEST PALS, DONKEY AND PANDA!
Bob Dog says, COME IN!
Panda and Donkey enter the house. Panda closes the door behind him.
[Door banging, upbeat music plays]
Panda says, HI!
Donkey says, HEY, BOB? ARE YOU TAKING A LITTLE REST?
[Sad music plays]
Bob Dog says, NO. BUT I DON'T THINK I WANT TO GO OUTSIDE AND PLAY ANYMORE. HEY, DONKEY, CAN YOU GO LOOK OUT THAT WINDOW FOR ME?
[Curtains rattle]
Donkey asks, SO, UH, WHAT AM I LOOKING FOR?
Bob Dog says, OH, NOTHING, REALLY. JUST SOMETHING BIG, AND ROUND, AND FLYING IN THE SKY.
[Whimpering]
Panda asks, OH, LIKE HARRIETT'S HOT AIR BALLOON?
Bob Dog says, YIPE!
Bob Dog hides under his blanket.
[Whimpering, teeth chattering, slide whistle]
Donkey asks, HEY, BOB DOG, IS EVERYTHING OKAY?
Bob Dog moves his blanket.
Bob Dog says, I-I DON'T THINK SO, DONKEY. WHEN I SAW HARRIETT'S BALLOON IN THE SKY, MY STOMACH FELT LIKE IT HAD A MILLION BUTTERFLIES IN IT. I-I FELT REALLY SCARED.
Donkey asks, WELL, WHY ARE YOU AFRAID OF HARRIETT'S BALLOON, BOB?
Panda says, YEAH.
Bob Dog says, I-I-I'M NOT SURE, BUT EVER SINCE I SAW IT, I JUST KEEP THINKING IT'S RIGHT OUTSIDE MY DOOR! NOW, I CAN'T STOP FEELING SCARED!
Panda says, I UNDERSTAND HOW YOU FEEL, BOB DOG. HEY, DONKEY?
Panda picks up a red ball with an image of a yellow crown on the side.
Donkey says, HMM?
Panda says, YOU REMEMBER THAT TIME WE BOUNCED SIR BOUNCE-A-LOT
INTO THE DARK, SCARY SWAMP!
In a flashback, Donkey and Panda enter a dark swamp.
[Birds calling, insects chittering, tense music plays]
Donkey says, OH YEAH! WE WERE AFRAID TO GO GET THE BALL BECAUSE WE KEPT THINKING ABOUT ALL THE SCARY THINGS THAT COULD BE OUT THERE.
Panda says, BUT WE KEPT TELLING OURSELVES...
Donkey says, WE'RE STRONG!
Panda says, AND BRAVE!
In the flashback, Donkey and Panda hold hands and walk further into the swamp.
Donkey says, WHEN WE FELT AFRAID, WE SAID THAT TO REMIND OURSELVES THAT WE WERE OKAY.
Panda says, AND WE WERE ABLE TO GET SIR BOUNCE-A-LOT BACK!
In the present, Bob Dog gets out of his dog bed.
[Upbeat music plays]
Bob Dog says, BOW WOW! THAT WAS REALLY BRAVE OF YOU TWO.
Donkey says, AND I, DONKEY HODIE, WILL HELP YOU FEEL BRAVE, TOO! MAYBE YOU CAN SAY SOMETHING TO REMIND YOURSELF YOU'RE OKAY AND FEEL LESS SCARED?
Panda says, YEAH, LIKE WE DID!
Bob Dog says UH, OKAY, UH, I CAN TRY THAT. UH, LET'S SEE... UM, HOW ABOUT, UH, "I AM BOB DOG," UH, AND THAT MEANS I'M STRONG."
Panda says, UH-HUH.
Bob Dog says "I WILL BE BRAVE ALL DAY LONG!"
[Rhythmic upbeat music plays]
Donkey sings, WHEN YOU WANT TO GO AND PLAY, BUT YOU'RE FEELING SO AFRAID THAT YOU SHIVER AND YOU SHAKE, WHAT CAN YOU SAY?
Panda sings, WHEN YOU WANT TO RUN AND HIDE AWAY FROM EVERYONE 'CAUSE FEAR STOPS YOU FROM HAVING FUN. YOU CAN HELP YOURSELF ALONG!
Bob Dog sings, I AM BOB DOG, AND THAT MEANS I'M STRONG. I WILL BE BRAVE ALL DAY LONG!
Donkey and Panda sing, WHEN YOU HAVE A FRIGHT IN THE DARK OR THE DAYLIGHT, REMIND YOURSELF THAT YOU'RE ALL RIGHT BY SAYING WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT.
Bob Dog sings, I AM BOB DOG, AND THAT MEANS I'M STRONG. I WILL BE BRAVE ALL DAY LONG! I WILL BE BRAVE!

Bob Dog says, NO. I'M STILL TOO SCARED TO GO OUTSIDE. IT DIDN'T WORK.
Panda says, WHA-- WELL, NO, BOB DOG, IT HAD TO WORK A LITTLE 'CAUSE WE GOT YOU OUT FROM UNDER THE COVERS.
Donkey nods.
[Blooping]
Panda says, MAYBE WE JUST HAVE TO DO IT A LITTLE BIT AT A TIME?
Donkey says, HMM. HOW ELSE CAN WE HELP BOB FEEL LESS AFRAID OF THE HOT AIR BALLOON? THINK, DONKEY HODIE, THINK!
[Panda gasping]
Panda says, YOU KNOW, ON PLANET PURPLE WE HAVE THESE PURPLE ELEPHANTS...
In a flashback, a huge purple elephant approaches Panda.
[Whooshing, thumping footsteps]
Panda says, WHEN I SAW ONE UP CLOSE, I WAS SO SCARED...
[Elephant trumpets]
Panda continues, BECAUSE IT WAS SO BIG!
Bob Dog asks, AS BIG AS A HOT AIR BALLOON?
Panda says, OH YEAH! BUT WHEN I LOOKED AT IT FROM FAR AWAY...
[Elephant trumpets]
Panda continues, IT FELT MUCH LESS SCARY.
[Whooshing]
In the present, Donkey says, LET'S TRY! BOB DOG CAN LOOK AT THE BALLOON FROM FAR AWAY.
Panda says, YEAH, LIKE FROM THAT WINDOW OVER THERE!
Bob Dog says, UH... OKAY, I'LL GIVE IT A TRY.
[Sighing, tense music plays]
Bob Dog says, HERE I GO...
Bob Dog peers through the window and sees the hot balloons flying over nearby hills.
[Curtains rattling, whimpering]
Bob Dog says, IT'S RIGHT THERE!
Bob Dog closes the curtains.
[Whimpering, slide whistle, curtains rattling]
Donkey says, YOU ARE BOB DOG.
Panda says, AND THAT MEANS YOU'RE STRONG.
Bob Dog says, I WILL BE BRAVE ALL DAY LONG!
Bob Dog looks out the window.
[Slide whistle, soothing music plays]
Bob Dog says, YA KNOW, IT DOES MOVE KIND OF SLOWLY. AND I LOVE THE COLOURS. MAYBE THAT BALLOON ISN'T SO SCARY.
Bob Dog carries the striped ball to Panda and Donkey.
Bob Dog says, I THINK I'M READY TO GO OUTSIDE AND PLAY!
Donkey says, LET'S PLAY BALL!
Panda cheers, HEY-O!

[Upbeat music plays]
Bob Dog slowly pushes his front door open, peeks around it, and does not see Harriett and the hot air balloon.
[Creaking, birds chirping]
Bob Dog quietly says, MY NAME IS BOB DOG, AND THAT MEANS I'M STRONG. I WILL BE BRAVE ALL DAY LONG!
[Sighing]
Bob Dog walks outside.
Bob Dog says, OKAY. OKAY! IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY! THERE'S NO BALLOONS IN THE SKY! LET'S GO TO THE PARK!

At the park, Bob Dog bounces the ball to Donkey.
[Birds chirping]

[Grunting, boinging]
Bob Dog watches Panda catch the ball. The hot air balloon rises over hilltops behind Donkey.

[Giggling, Bob Dog gasping]

Bob Dog dives behind a bush.
[Whimpering, leaves rustling, teeth chattering, tense music plays, birds chirping]

Bob Dog says, UH, I DON'T WANT TO GO ANYWHERE, IF THAT THING IS IN THE SKY!

[Clearing throat]

The hot air balloon flies away.

Donkey asks, WELL, WHY ARE YOU AFRAID OF HARRIETT'S BALLOON, BOB?
Panda says, YEAH.
Bob Dog says, I-I-I'M NOT SURE, BUT EVER SINCE I SAW IT, I JUST KEEP THINKING IT'S RIGHT OUTSIDE MY DOOR! NOW, I CAN'T STOP FEELING SCARED!
Panda says, I UNDERSTAND HOW YOU FEEL, BOB DOG. HEY, DONKEY?
Panda picks up a red ball with an image of a yellow crown on the side.
Donkey says, HMM?
Panda says, YOU REMEMBER THAT TIME WE BOUNCED SIR BOUNCE-A-LOT
INTO THE DARK, SCARY SWAMP!
In a flashback, Donkey and Panda enter a dark swamp.
[Birds calling, insects chittering, tense music plays]
Donkey says, OH YEAH! WE WERE AFRAID TO GO GET THE BALL BECAUSE WE KEPT THINKING ABOUT ALL THE SCARY THINGS THAT COULD BE OUT THERE.
Panda says, BUT WE KEPT TELLING OURSELVES...
Donkey says, WE'RE STRONG!
Panda says, AND BRAVE!
In the flashback, Donkey and Panda hold hands and walk further into the swamp.
Donkey says, WHEN WE FELT AFRAID, WE SAID THAT TO REMIND OURSELVES THAT WE WERE OKAY.
Panda says, AND WE WERE ABLE TO GET SIR BOUNCE-A-LOT BACK!
In the present, Bob Dog gets out of his dog bed.
[Upbeat music plays]
Bob Dog says, BOW WOW! THAT WAS REALLY BRAVE OF YOU TWO.
Donkey says, AND I, DONKEY HODIE, WILL HELP YOU FEEL BRAVE, TOO! MAYBE YOU CAN SAY SOMETHING TO REMIND YOURSELF YOU'RE OKAY AND FEEL LESS SCARED?
Panda says, YEAH, LIKE WE DID!
Bob Dog says UH, OKAY, UH, I CAN TRY THAT. UH, LET'S SEE... UM, HOW ABOUT, UH, "I AM BOB DOG," UH, AND THAT MEANS I'M STRONG."
Panda says, UH-HUH.
Bob Dog says "I WILL BE BRAVE ALL DAY LONG!"
[Rhythmic upbeat music plays]
Donkey sings, WHEN YOU WANT TO GO AND PLAY, BUT YOU'RE FEELING SO AFRAID THAT YOU SHIVER AND YOU SHAKE, WHAT CAN YOU SAY?
Panda sings, WHEN YOU WANT TO RUN AND HIDE AWAY FROM EVERYONE 'CAUSE FEAR STOPS YOU FROM HAVING FUN. YOU CAN HELP YOURSELF ALONG!
Bob Dog sings, I AM BOB DOG, AND THAT MEANS I'M STRONG. I WILL BE BRAVE ALL DAY LONG!
Donkey and Panda sing, WHEN YOU HAVE A FRIGHT IN THE DARK OR THE DAYLIGHT, REMIND YOURSELF THAT YOU'RE ALL RIGHT BY SAYING WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT.
Bob Dog sings, I AM BOB DOG, AND THAT MEANS I'M STRONG. I WILL BE BRAVE ALL DAY LONG! I WILL BE BRAVE!
Everyone sings, IT'S OKAY TO BE AFRAID SOMETIMES, WE ALL CAN FEEL THAT WAY I'LL HELP MYSELF TO FACE WHAT SCARES ME,
Donkey and Panda sing, I'LL JUST SAY I AM BOB DOG, AND THAT MEANS I'M STRONG. I WILL BE BRAVE! OH! I AM BOB DOG, AND THAT MEANS I'M STRONG. I WILL BE BRAVE...
Everyone sings, ALL DAY LONG!
Donkey and Panda sing, I WILL BE BRAVE!
Panda says, HEY-O! THAT WAS GREAT, BOB DOG!
Bob Dog says, YEAH! YA KNOW, I MIGHT BE FEELING A LITTLE LESS SCARED!
Bob Dog picks up the striped ball.
Bob Dog says I THINK I'M READY TO GO OUTSIDE!
Donkey says, HEE-HAW, BOB DOG!
Bob Dog says, YEAH!
Donkey and Panda say, YEAH!!
Bob Dog says, YEAH!
Donkey and Panda say, YEAH!!
Bob Dog says, NO!
Donkey and Panda say, NO?
Bob Dog says, NO. I'M STILL TOO SCARED TO GO OUTSIDE. IT DIDN'T WORK.
Panda says, WHA-- WELL, NO, BOB DOG, IT HAD TO WORK A LITTLE 'CAUSE WE GOT YOU OUT FROM UNDER THE COVERS.
Donkey nods.
[Blooping]
Panda says, MAYBE WE JUST HAVE TO DO IT A LITTLE BIT AT A TIME?
Donkey says, HMM. HOW ELSE CAN WE HELP BOB FEEL LESS AFRAID OF THE HOT AIR BALLOON? THINK, DONKEY HODIE, THINK!
[Panda gasping]
Panda says, YOU KNOW, ON PLANET PURPLE WE HAVE THESE PURPLE ELEPHANTS...
In a flashback, a huge purple elephant approaches Panda.
[Whooshing, thumping footsteps]
Panda says, WHEN I SAW ONE UP CLOSE, I WAS SO SCARED...
[Elephant trumpets]
Panda continues, BECAUSE IT WAS SO BIG!
Bob Dog asks, AS BIG AS A HOT AIR BALLOON?
Panda says, OH YEAH! BUT WHEN I LOOKED AT IT FROM FAR AWAY...
[Elephant trumpets]
Panda continues, IT FELT MUCH LESS SCARY.
[Whooshing]
In the present, Donkey says, LET'S TRY! BOB DOG CAN LOOK AT THE BALLOON FROM FAR AWAY.
Panda says, YEAH, LIKE FROM THAT WINDOW OVER THERE!
Bob Dog says, UH... OKAY, I'LL GIVE IT A TRY.
[Sighing, tense music plays]
Bob Dog says, HERE I GO...
Bob Dog peers through the window and sees the hot balloons flying over nearby hills.
[Curtains rattling, whimpering]
Bob Dog says, IT'S RIGHT THERE!
Bob Dog closes the curtains.
[Whimpering, slide whistle, curtains rattling]
Donkey says, YOU ARE BOB DOG.
Panda says, AND THAT MEANS YOU'RE STRONG.
Bob Dog says, I WILL BE BRAVE ALL DAY LONG!
Bob Dog looks out the window.
[Slide whistle, soothing music plays]
Bob Dog says, YA KNOW, IT DOES MOVE KIND OF SLOWLY. AND I LOVE THE COLOURS. MAYBE THAT BALLOON ISN'T SO SCARY.
Bob Dog carries the striped ball to Panda and Donkey.
Bob Dog says, I THINK I'M READY TO GO OUTSIDE AND PLAY!
Donkey says, LET'S PLAY BALL!
Panda cheers, HEY-O!
Donkey cheers, HEE-HAW!
[Upbeat music plays]
Bob Dog slowly pushes his front door open, peeks around it, and does not see Harriett and the hot air balloon.
[Creaking, birds chirping]
Bob Dog quietly says, MY NAME IS BOB DOG, AND THAT MEANS I'M STRONG. I WILL BE BRAVE ALL DAY LONG!
[Sighing]
Bob Dog walks outside.
Bob Dog says, OKAY. OKAY! IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY! THERE'S NO BALLOONS IN THE SKY! LET'S GO TO THE PARK!
Donkey cheers, HEE-HAW!
Panda cheers, HEY-O!
At the park, Bob Dog bounces the ball to Donkey.
[Birds chirping]
Bob Dog says, OKAY, HERE YOU GO, DONKEY!
[Boinging, wind gusts]
Donkey says, UH-HUH! OH, OH. GOT IT! OKAY, PANDA!
[Grunting, boinging]
Bob Dog watches Panda catch the ball. The hot air balloon rises over hilltops behind Donkey.
Panda and Donkey say, YEAH!
[Giggling, Bob Dog gasping]
Bob Dog says, YIPE! AHH!
Bob Dog dives behind a bush.
[Whimpering, leaves rustling, teeth chattering, tense music plays, birds chirping]
Panda asks, ARE YOU OKAY, BOB DOG?
Donkey says, IT'S OKAY IF YOU WANT TO GO BACK HOME.
Bob Dog says, UH, I DON'T WANT TO GO ANYWHERE, IF THAT THING IS IN THE SKY!
Panda says, TRY YOUR RHYME, BOB DOG! YOU'VE GOT THIS!
Bob Dog says, OH YEAH. YEAH, YEAH, YEAH. OKAY...
[Clearing throat]
Bob Dog says, I AM BOB DOG, AND THAT MEANS I'M STRONG. I WILL BE BRAVE ALL DAY LONG!
Harriett shouts, I'M COMING IN FOR A LANDING!
[Laughing, upbeat music plays]
Bob Dog says, I AM BOB DOG, AND THAT MEANS I'M STRONG. I WILL BE BRAVE ALL DAY LONG!
Harriett lands the hot air balloon basket on the grass.
[Rustling]
Harriett shouts, LOOK OUT BELOW! MOO-HOO, EVERYBODY!
Donkey says, HI, HARRIETT!
Panda says, HI!
Harriett says, HELLO!
Bob Dog says, HI, HARRIETT.
Harriett says, HI!
Bob Dog says, UH, I-I'VE BEEN A LITTLE SCARED OF YOUR BALLOON SINCE I SAW IT EARLIER.
Harriett says, OH. OH, DEAR!
Donkey says, BUT HE'S BEING REALLY BRAVE!
Panda says, YEAH, HE REALLY IS.
[Gentle music plays]
Harriett says, HMM... YOU SURE ARE BEING BRAVE, AND I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND BECAUSE GUESS WHAT, BOB DOG? I'M SCARED OF HOT AIR BALLOONS TOO!
Bob Dog says, BUT-- BUT YOU'RE FLYING ONE!
Harriett says, I KNOW! BUT I WAS ABLE TO FACE MY FEAR LITTLE BY LITTLE, UNTIL I COULD FINALLY FLY IN MY BEAUTIFUL BALLOON.
Bob Dog says, BOW WOWEE!
Harriett says, MM-HMM. I JUST TELL MYSELF, "THE TIME TO BE BRAVE IS NOW, HARRIETT ELIZABETH COW," AND IT REMINDS ME THAT I'M OKAY!
Bob Dog says, HEY, THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I DO!
Harriett says, MM-HMM! WE ARE BOTH BEING SO BRAVE! BUT I GOTTA GET GOING NOW!
Bob Dog says, UH, HARRIETT?
Harriett says, YES?
Bob Dog says, UH, BEFORE YOU GO...CAN I TOUCH THE BASKET?
[Donkey and Panda gasping]
Harriett says, OOH! OF COURSE! YEAH, GO FOR IT!
[Dramatic music plays]
Bob Dog says, I AM BOB DOG, AND THAT MEANS I'M STRONG. I WILL BE BRAVE ALL DAY LONG!
Harriett says, MM-HMM.
Bob Dog touches the basket.
Bob Dog says, HEY! HEY, IT'S JUST LIKE A PICNIC BASKET, ONLY BIGGER! AND WITH FEWER SANDWICHES.
Donkey cheers, HEE-HAWESOME, BOB DOG!
Panda cheers, HEY-O!
Harriett says, I AM SO PROUD OF YOU, BOB DOG! WELL, TOODLE-OO FOR NOW, NEIGHBOURS!
Donkey, Panda, and Bob Dog say, GOODBYE, HARRIETT!
Harriett says, THE TIME TO BE BRAVE IS NOW, HARRIETT ELIZABETH COW.
The hot air balloon flies away.
Donkey asks, HOW DO YOU FEEL NOW, BOB?
Panda says, YEAH.
[Birds chirping]
Bob Dog says, WELL, I'M STILL A LITTLE SCARED, BUT I CAN REMIND MYSELF
THAT I'M OKAY!
Bob Dog picks up the ball.
[Slide whistle]
Bob Dog says, WELL, WE'RE IN THE PARK, AND IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY.
[Upbeat music plays]
Harriett shouts, THE TIME TO BE BRAVE IS NOW, HARRIETT ELIZABETH COW.
Bob Dog says, MM-HMM. YEAH, I THINK IT'S TIME TO PLAY!
Donkey says, HEE-HAW!
Bob Dog says, HERE YOU GO!
Bob Dog throws the ball.
[Whooshing]
Bob Dog says, YEAH!
Donkey says, GOOD THROW, BOB!
