Odo throws a pinecone, skips to it, and picks it up.
[Whooshing, grass rustling, playful music notes play]
Odo says, ONE, TWO, THREE. FOUR, FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT. THERE!
Speaking into a megaphone, the camp leader says, GOOD MORNING, CAMPERS! GATHER ROUND!
All of the campers except Doodle and Odo run to the camp leader.
[Campers giggling]
Odo says, I'M SURE WE CAN SQUEEZE IN A FEW QUICK GOES.
Odo bounces the pinecone on his wing and then throws it.
[Rustling, whooshing]
Odo says, YOUR TURN, DOODLE!
[Doodle grunting]
By a cabin, the camp leader says, IT'S FINALLY ARRIVED! IT'S…
The camp leader pulls paper off a wooden clock with a small door on the top.
[Paper crinkling, wings flapping]
The camp leader says, A CUCKOO CLOCK!
The minute hand on the clock reaches twelve. The door opens, and a wooden cuckoo bird slides on a platform.
[Bell ringing, clattering]
The cuckoo says, CUCKOO!
The campers say, HUH?
The cuckoo says, CUCKOO!
The cuckoo slides back into the clock, and the small door closes.
[Campers gasping, camp leader chuckling, door slamming]
The camp leader says, THIS ISN'T A REAL BIRD, CAMPERS. IT'S WOODEN!
A toucan with a blue striped beak says, IF YOU HADN'T TOLD US, WE WOULDN'T HAVE BELIEVED IT!
[Two toucans laughing]
The camp leader holds a notepad with increasing tally marks beneath a cuckoo bird and camp activities beside each tally.
[Upbeat music plays]
The camp leader says, AHEM. THIS CLOCK WILL TELL US EXACTLY WHAT CAMP ACTIVITIES WE SHOULD BE DOING AND EXACTLY WHEN AND KEEP EVERYTHING RUNNING LIKE CLOCKWORK.
The camp leader pats the clock.
[Patting, ringing, birds chirping]
The cuckoo says, CUCKOO!
The campers say, HELLO!
The cuckoo says, CUCKOO!
The campers say, HELLO!
The camp leader says, OOH, UM. TWO CUCKOOS. THAT MEANS IT'S TIME FOR-- PAINTING! COME ALONG, CAMPERS! THE CUCKOO HAS SPOKEN!
The campers follow the camp leader away from the cabin.
[Chirping, cheering, giggling, feathers rustling]
Later, by the cabin, Odo skips to the pinecone.
[Doodle laughing, grass rustling, upbeat music plays]
Odo says, POPSCOTCH! POPSCOTCH!
Odo looks up at the clock.
[Odo gasping]
Doodle says, WOW!
Odo asks, WHAT'S THAT, DOODLE?
[Ringing, gasping]
The cuckoo says, CUCKOO! CUCKOO! CUCKOO!
In a clearing, the camp leader poses with a fruit bowl on her head. The campers stand in a circle and paint her portrait.
[Campers gasping]
The camp leader says, HEAR THAT, CAMPERS? ONE, TWO, THREE CUCKOOS! THAT MEANS IT'S MUSIC TIME! OFF WE GO.
[Flapping, gentle music plays]
Odo says, HEY, DOODLE! THERE'S A NEW BIRD IN CAMP. WE SHOULD GIVE IT A PROPER WELCOME.
[Ticking]
Odo says, HELLO!
Doodle says, HELLO!
The cuckoo slides back into the clock, and the door closes.
[Slamming]
Doodle says, DID I SCARE IT?
Odo jumps onto a bench and then the roof of the clock.
[Odo grunting]
Odo says, DON'T BE SCARED, CUCKOO.
Odo pulls on the small door.
[Grunting, creaking]
Odo asks, ARE YOU IN THERE?
Odo pulls the door open, and the cuckoo, gears, and springs fall out.
[Gasping, sproinging]
Doodle says, NOW IT'S TRYING TO FLY AWAY!
Doodle dodges falling clock parts. The cuckoo falls on the grass in front of Doodle.
[Gasping, shouting, grass rustling, cuckoo wing squeaking]
Doodle says, AW! HE LOOKS A BIT TIRED, ODO.
Odo cautiously moves the wing of the cuckoo.
[Squeaking, upbeat music plays]
Odo says, HEY! IT'S NOT A REAL BIRD.
Doodle says, OH.
Odo says, IT'S A WOODEN BIRD AND IT'S PART OF CAMP LEADER'S CLOCK. AND WE'VE BROKEN IT!
[Birds chirping]
Doodle says, MAYBE IF I PRETEND TO BE THE CUCKOO, THEN CAMP LEADER WON'T KNOW IT'S BROKEN AND SHE WON'T BE UPSET.
Odo asks, DO YOU THINK YOU CAN?
[Birds chirping]
Doodle replies, I KNOW I CAN!
Doodle flies up to the clock.
[Wings flapping]
Doodle says, CUCKOO! CUCKOO! CUCKOO! CUCKOO!
On a stage, the campers play recorders.
[Recorder music plays, hummingbird wings flapping]
The camp leader says, RECORDERS DOWN, CAMPERS! THAT'S MEANS IT'S, UM, PLANT WATERING TIME. THIS WAY, CAMPERS! FOLLOW ME!
The campers follow the camp leader past the cabin.
[Chattering]
The camp leader says, FOUR CUCKOOS MEANS IT'S TIME TO WATER THE PLANTS!
Odo says, HEAR THAT, DOODLE? IF FOUR CUCKOOS MEANS CAMP WATERING TIME, I WONDER HOW MANY CUCKOOS MEANS IT'S TIME TO PLAY POPSCOTCH. WE'D BETTER FIND OUT! DO YOUR BEST CUCKOOING, DOODLE!
Doodle says, OKAY, ODO!
[Clock door slamming]
Doodle says, CUCKOO! CUCKOO! CUCKOO!
Thelma waters plants beside a peacock. He turns towards the clock and waters Thelma. She smiles and opens a pink umbrella.
[Water spraying]
Doodle says, CUCKOO! CUCKOO!
[Campers clucking, exclaiming]
The camp leader says, FEATHERS ABOVE! FIVE CUCKOOS ALREADY? THIS WAY, CAMPERS! IT'S LEAF COLLECTION TIME!
The campers follow the camp leader past the cabin.
[Squawking, chatter]
Odo says, THAT'S NOT IT! TRY AGAIN, DOODLE.
In a clearing, the campers pick up leaves. The camp leader leans against a tree and picks up an insulated cup.
[Gentle music plays, campers chattering]
The camp leader says, OH, GOODNESS ME. ALL THIS HARD WORK DESERVES A NICE CUP OF TEA.
[Whooshing]
Pigeon Post says, OH! WHAT A SPLENDID IDEA, CAMP LEADER.
The camp leader says, HERE WE GO.
Pigeon Post holds out his mug. The camp leader spills the tea between them as Doodle cuckoos.
[Tea splashing]
Doodle says, CUCKOO! CUCKOO! CUCKOO! CUCKOO! CUCKOO! CUCKOO!
Pigeon Post groans, AW!
The camp leader says, OH! GOODNESS! SORRY, PIGEON POST, BUT THE CUCKOO HAS SPOKEN. DROP THOSE LEAVES! NEXT TASK OF THE DAY!
The campers follow the camp leader past the cabin.
[Campers chattering, wings flapping]
The camp leader says, SIX CUCKOOS MEANS IT'S TIME FOR FOREST CAMP YOGA.
[Odo groaning]
Odo asks, HOW MANY CUCKOOS IS POPSCOTCH? CUCKOO MORE, DOODLE! CUCKOO AWAY!
In a clearing, the camp leader and the campers do yoga on mats.
Doodle says, CUCKOO! CUCKOO! CUCKOO!
The campers and the camp leader run past the cabin.
[Campers chattering, wings flapping]

The campers run behind the camp leader.

Inspector Feathers holds a snail and a small eagle.
Inspector Feathers says, CAMP LEADER, I WAS JUST OUT LOOKING FOR A NEW HOUSE FOR FREDDY TO LIVE IN.
Inspector Feathers pets the snail, Freddy.
[Camp leader panting]
Inspector Feathers says, HE USED TO HAVE THE LOVELIEST LITTLE WOODEN HOUSE, BUT, WELL, I ACCIDENTALLY SAT ON IT, SO I WAS JUST PASSING AND WONDERED IF YOU FANCIED A TEA AND A CHIT-CHAT.
[Whooshing]
Pigeon Post says, AND MAYBE A BISCUIT?
Doodle says CUCKOO! CUCKOO! CUCKOO! CUCKOO!
[Camp leader exclaiming]
The camp leader says, I CAN'T! I HAVE TO DO WHAT THE CUCKOO CLOCK TELLS ME! OH, GOODNESS! IT'S EXHAUSTING.
The camp leader pants, CAMPERS! IT'S-- IT'S NEST BUILDING PRACTICE TIME.
The campers trudge behind the camp leader.
At the clock, Odo says, UM, MAYBE TRY EIGHT AND A HALF CUCKOOS, DOODLE.
Doodle slumps over the edge of the doorway.
[Birds chirping]
Doodle says, ALL THIS CUCKOOING IS GIVING ME A SORE THROAT.
Doodle says, CUCKOO.
[Doodle coughing]
Odo says, OH, NO! DOODLE! I DIDN'T REALIZE IT WAS HURTING YOUR THROAT. I'M SORRY.
[Gasping, door slamming]
The camp leader follows the campers to the cabin.
[Panting, chattering]
The camp leader says, OH, MY GOODNESS!
[Panting]
The camp leader says, WAIT FOR ME, CAMPERS!
The camp leader stops and leans against the cuckoo clock. Doodle opens the clock door.
[Panting]
Doodle whispers, CUCKOO.
[Doodle gasping, camp leader panting, suspenseful music plays]
The camp leader says, HUH? THAT CUCKOO LOOKS FAMILIAR. HANG ON! IT'S DOODLE! MY WORD! ARE YOU BEHIND ALL OF THIS MAYHEM?
Odo says, SORRY, CAMP LEADER. I, I BROKE YOUR CLOCK BY ACCIDENT.
Doodle says, WE BROKE IT.
Odo says, AND WE WERE TRYING TO MAKE THINGS BETTER.
Doodle says, BUT WE MAYBE TRIED JUST A BIT TOO MUCH.
The camp leader says, OH, MAYBE JUST A BIT.
[Camp leader chuckling]
Odo says, WE WERE TRYING TO FIND THE RIGHT NUMBER OF CUCKOOS TO PLAY POPSCOTCH, BUT NOW, THANKS TO ME, DOODLE HAS A SORE THROAT. I'M SORRY, DOODLE!
Odo hugs Doodle.
Doodle says, THAT'S OKAY, ODO. I'M STARTING TO FEEL BETTER ALREADY.
The camp leader says, HMM. DO YOU KNOW? I RATHER THINK I PREFERRED IT WHEN THERE WASN'T A CLOCK. KEEPING THINGS ON TRACK SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA, BUT IT'S NICER TO HAVE TIME TO SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS.
The campers arrive back at the cabin.
[Chattering, flapping]
Odo asks, SO, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR CLOCK THEN, CAMP LEADER?
The camp leader says, HMM. AH-HA!
[Whooshing, birds chirping]
Later, Inspector Feathers, the camp leader, Doodle, and Odo stand around the clock in a clearing.
[Happy music plays softly]
Inspector Feathers says, WELL, IF YOU'RE SURE, CAMP LEADER. IT DOES MAKE A SPLENDID HOUSE FOR FREDDY.
The small door opens, and Freddy slides out on the platform.
[Clicking]
Campers say, FREDDY!
[Chattering]
The camp leader says, NOW, WHO'S FOR A CUP OF TEA?
Pigeon Post says, OOH!
Odo asks, AND MAYBE A GAME OF POPSCOTCH?
[Campers cheering, laughing, camp leader chuckling]
The camp leader says, GO AHEAD. THERE'S PLENTY OF TIME.
The camp leader pours tea into Pigeon Post’s mug.

[Camp leader chuckling]
Odo says, WE WERE TRYING TO FIND THE RIGHT NUMBER OF CUCKOOS TO PLAY POPSCOTCH, BUT NOW, THANKS TO ME, DOODLE HAS A SORE THROAT. I'M SORRY, DOODLE!
Odo hugs Doodle.
Doodle says, THAT'S OKAY, ODO. I'M STARTING TO FEEL BETTER ALREADY.
The camp leader says, HMM. DO YOU KNOW? I RATHER THINK I PREFERRED IT WHEN THERE WASN'T A CLOCK. KEEPING THINGS ON TRACK SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA, BUT IT'S NICER TO HAVE TIME TO SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS.
The campers arrive back at the cabin.
[Chattering, flapping]
Odo asks, SO, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR CLOCK THEN, CAMP LEADER?
The camp leader says, HMM. AH-HA!
[Whooshing, birds chirping]
Later, Inspector Feathers, the camp leader, Doodle, and Odo stand around the clock in a clearing.
[Happy music plays softly]
Inspector Feathers says, WELL, IF YOU'RE SURE, CAMP LEADER. IT DOES MAKE A SPLENDID HOUSE FOR FREDDY.
The small door opens, and Freddy slides out on the platform.
[Clicking]
Campers say, FREDDY!
[Chattering]
The camp leader says, NOW, WHO'S FOR A CUP OF TEA?
Pigeon Post says, OOH!
Odo asks, AND MAYBE A GAME OF POPSCOTCH?
[Campers cheering, laughing, camp leader chuckling]
The camp leader says, GO AHEAD. THERE'S PLENTY OF TIME.
The camp leader pours tea into Pigeon Post’s mug.
[Tea splashing]
