Written by Alex Collier.

Near the Camp Leader’s cabin, the campers play on the grass. Pigeon Post arrives dragging a wooden cabin-shaped hutch.

[Grunting, campers laughing, happy music plays]

Odo says, LOOK. IT'S PIGEON POST WITH THE MOBILE LIBRARY. YES!

Doodle says, OH!

The campers run to the cabin-shaped mobile library.

[Footsteps pattering, happy chattering]

Doodle says, IT'S ALWAYS SO HARD TO CHOOSE JUST ONE.

Pigeon Post slides open a cover and reveals shelves of books.

[Rustling]

Campers say, OH, YEAH! OOH!

Odo hops up to the top shelf.

Odo says, HUP, HUP. A-HA!

[Birds chirping, book rustling]

Odo says, THE ADVENTURES OF A MAGICAL ISLE? HUP!

Odo jumps down.

Bud says, OH-HO! A JOKE BOOK!

[Louie laughing, clapping, happy music plays]

Joe says, OH! MALLARD OF THE RINGS.

Flo slides books off the shelf.

[Rustling]

Flo says, YOU TAKE PART ONE. I'LL HAVE PART TWO. AND SHIRLEY CAN HAVE PART THREE.

[Clucking]

Doodle says, NO. OH, I HAVEN'T CHOSEN A BOOK YET. OH, I'LL JUST TAKE THIS ONE.

Doodle slides a book off the shelf and falls backwards.

[Grunting, rustling]

Doodle says, AH!

[Grunting]

Doodle says, I'M OKAY.

Odo says, OH! SCARY STORIES.

Doodle drops the book.

Doodle says, AH! SCARY?

[Gulping, whooshing, birds singing]

Martin and Odo read their books on a bench in front of the cabin while Doodle stares at her closed book.

[Birds chirping, gentle music plays, clucking, background chatter]

The Camp Leader says, I ALWAYS DREAMED OF BEING A FAMOUS AUTHOR, SIGNING BOOKS FOR MY FLOCKS OF FANS ALL OVER THE WORLD.

Pigeon Post says, ALL THE YEARS I'VE KNOWN YOU, AND I NEVER KNEW THAT. GO ON THEN, CAMP LEADER. LET'S HEAR YOUR BOOK IDEA.

The Camp Leader says, OH, NO. I COULDN'T POSSIBLY.

She takes out a scroll.

The Camp Leader says, OH, GO ON THEN. YOU'VE TWISTED MY WING.

[Clearing throat]

The Camp Leader reads, ONCE UPON A TIME, UM...

[Gentle music plays]

The Camp Leader says, WELL, THAT'S AS FAR AS I'VE GOT.

Martin, Doodle, and Odo say, WHOA! WOW!

Odo says, CAMP LEADER, THAT'S A GREAT START. UH-HUH. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

The Camp Leader says, OH, WELL, MAYBE I SHOULD FINISH IT OFF. YES, IT'S TIME TO LIVE MY DREAM AND BE A GREAT WRITER.

[Door slamming, whooshing, birds chirping]

Later, in her cabin, the Camp Leader puts a cup of tea by a typewriter and a plate of cookies on a desk.

[Happy music plays]

The Camp Leader says, ONCE UPON A TIME, THERE WAS, UM... A MILLION, UH, PEACHES. UM.

[Outside, Odo laughing]

The Camp Leader says, OH.

Outside, Odo shouts, ALAKAZAM!

[Odo grunting]

The Camp Leader walks to Odo.

The Camp Leader says, HUH?

Odo shouts, ALAKAZAM! A-HA!

Odo points a stick at a small tree stump.

[Whooshing, gentle music plays, birds singing]

The Camp Leader asks, ODO, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Odo says, I'M TRYING TO TURN THIS OLD STUMP INTO A POT OF BIRD SEED, BUT, I CAN'T DO IT. OPEN, SESAME SEED!

[Camp Leader chuckling]

The Camp Leader says, OH, ODO, I FEAR THAT SORT OF TRICK MIGHT BE A BIT ADVANCED FOR A YOUNG BIRD, BUT PERHAPS THERE ARE OTHER TRICKS YOU COULD TRY. ONE, TWO, THREE!

The Camp Leader takes the stick and it disappears.

Odo says, WHOA! WHERE'S IT GONE?

[Laughing]

The Camp Leader says, OH, HERE.

[Odo gasping, chiming, gentle music plays, birds chirping]

The Camp Leader says, JUST A LITTLE TRICK, ODO. NOW, WHY DON'T YOU PRACTISE QUIETLY WHILE I WRITE MY BOOK?

Odo says, SURE THING, CAMP LEADER.

[Whooshing, birds chirping]

In her cabin, the Camp Leader sits at her desk.

The Camp Leader says, NOW, THEN. WHERE WERE WE?

[Typewriter clicking, toucans laughing outside]

The Camp Leader says, OH!

Outside, Louie says, "BECAUSE THEY LIKE TO DO EGG-CERISE!"

[Both laughing]

Odo says, SHH! CAMP LEADER'S TRYING TO WRITE.

[Both laughing]

The Camp Leader says, ODO, FETCH THE TOUCANS A NICE GLASS OF WATER. THAT SHOULD FIX THEM.

[Toucans laughing]

Bud and Louie say, OH!

Odo gives Louie and Bud each a glass of water.

[Slurping water]

Louie says, THAT'S BETTER.

Bud says, THANKS, ODO.

[Door closing]

The Camp Leader goes into her cabin and sits down at her desk.

[Chickens clucking]

Odo says, CHICKENS, SHH! COME DOWN!

Joe says, GIVE IT TO ME!

The Camp Leader says, OH, MY! WHAT IS GOING ON?

[Gentle music plays, birds singing]

In a tree, Shirley says, IT'S NOT FAIR, CAMP LEADER. I'VE GOT BOOK THREE, BUT I CAN'T READ IT UNTIL I KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENED IN BOOK TWO.

Joe says, AND I'VE GOT BOOK TWO, BUT I CAN'T READ THAT UNTIL I KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IN BOOK ONE.

Flo says, AND THEY WANT ME TO GIVE THEM BOOK ONE, BUT I HAVEN'T STARTED IT YET.

Odo says, THEY ALL CHASED EACH OTHER UP THERE.

[Clucking]

Odo says, AND NOW THEY'RE STUCK.

The Camp Leader says, OH, I'D BETTER GET MY CHICKEN LADDER AND WE'LL SORT ALL THIS OUT.

[Whooshing, birds singing]

Later, Shirley, Joe, and Flo stand in front of the camp leader.

[Happy music plays]

The chickens say, THANK YOU, CAMP LEADER.

The Camp Leader says, NOW, THEN, IF YOU READ THESE BOOKS OUT LOUD TO EACH OTHER...

Odo says, WOW! YOU'D ALL FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS AT THE SAME TIME.

The chickens say, AH! WOW! WOW!

[Clucking]

In the cabin, the Camp Leader sits at her desk.

[Doodle screaming outside, tense music plays]

The Camp Leader says, HUH?

Doodle stands in front of her scary book.

Doodle shouts, ODO! THE SCARY STORIES HAVE SENT CHILLS ALL DOWN MY FEATHERS.

[Screaming]

The Camp Leader says, OH, WELL, YOU'VE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT, DOODLE.

Odo says, HUH?

The Camp Leader says, THEY'RE JUST MADE UP TALES. AND BEING A LITTLE BIT SCARED IS KIND OF FUN, LIKE JUMPING OUT ON YOUR FRIENDS TO SAY "BOO!"

[Laughing]

The Camp Leader says, AND IF YOU'RE A LITTLE SCARED, YOU GET A NICE, BIG HUG TO MAKE IT ALL BETTER.

The Camp Leader hugs Doodle.

[Both chuckling]

Doodle says, IT FEELS MUCH BETTER ALREADY.

[Whooshing, birds chirping]

In the cabin, the Camp Leader says, FINALLY. PEACE AND QUIET. NOW, THEN, UM...

[Typewriter clicking, groaning, Camp Leader yelling]

Outside, Doodle and Odo put their books down.

[Both gasping, thumping, dramatic music plays]

Odo says, IT SOUNDS LIKE CAMP LEADER!

They run to the cabin.

Odo asks, CAMP LEADER, ARE YOU OKAY?

[Panting, door opens, footsteps pattering]

The Camp Leader says, NO! ODO, I CAN'T THINK OF A SINGLE THING TO WRITE. OH, PERHAPS... PERHAPS I'M NOT MEANT TO BE A FAMOUS AUTHOR AFTER ALL!

Odo and Doodle say, OH!

[Soothing music plays]

Odo says, YOU DON'T NEED TO BE A WRITER. YOU'RE ALREADY THE MOST PERFECT CAMP LEADER.

The Camp Leader says, HUH? OH, THANK YOU, ODO.

Odo says, IN FACT, MAYBE YOU SHOULD WRITE A BOOK ALL ABOUT HOW TO BE THE VERY BEST CAMP LEADER. I KNOW YOU CAN.

Doodle says, YAY!

The Camp Leader says, WELL, ODO, THAT IS A GOOD IDEA. YES! A VERY GOOD IDEA INDEED. OH, YES!

[Camp Leader laughing giddily, typing]

[Whooshing, birds chirping]

Pigeon Post drags the mobile library into a clearing.

[Pigeon Post grunting]

Odo says, THE MOBILE LIBRARY'S BACK.

The campers run to the mobile library.

[Campers cheering, clucking]

Pigeon Post says, NOW, THEN, CAMPERS. I'VE A VERY SPECIAL BOOK FOR YOU ALL THIS WEEK.

The campers say, OH! HUH?

Pigeon Post takes the Camp Leader’s book off a shelf. On the cover, the Camp Leader speaks into a megaphone.

[Hummingbird wings fluttering]

Pigeon Post says, LEADING CAMP, CAMP LEADER'S GUIDE TO CAMP LEADING. WITH A FIVE-STAR REVIEW FROM THE EAGLE JOURNAL.

Campers say, WOW!

The Camp Leader says, THANK YOU, CAMPERS. WITHOUT YOU, I WOULDN'T HAVE HAD ANYTHING TO WRITE ABOUT.

[Birds chirping, happy music plays]

Odo asks, CAN I TAKE IT OUT?

A blue and red bird says, ME, ME! I WANNA READ IT. I WANNA READ IT.

The campers say, ME, ME!

[Shouting]

Shirley says, HEY! WHAT IF CAMP LEADER READS IT TO US?

[Campers gasping]

The Camp Leader says, OH!

[Camp Leader laughing]

The Camp Leader says, VERY WELL, THEN. UM, GATHER 'ROUND, CAMPERS.

The Camp Leader sits on a tree stump and opens her book.

[Campers laughing, wings flapping]

Odo says, OH, YES!

The Camp Leader reads, I FIRST KNEW I WANTED TO BE A CAMP LEADER WHEN I WAS JUST A LITTLE CHICK.

[Upbeat music plays]
