Polkaroo skips down the porch steps of his house to the garden. It's nighttime. The lights are on inside the house and there is a cozy sofa
on the porch. Polkaroo looks at the night sky through his telescope.
He says OHH!
Polkaroo is a tall, green kangaroo, and wears mended, yellow and multi-coloured polka-dot costume. He cups his hands over his long green
ears and says
OHHH!

His yellow hair moves as he jumps up and flies to outer space. He passes planet Earth and continues flying way up like a rocket!
He shouts POLKAROO!!

As the hot blazing sun and mercury appear, a female voice says
IF YOU GO WAY UP PAST
THE CLOUDS INTO SPACE,
YOU'LL FIND EIGHT PLANETS,
EACH IN THEIR PLACE.

The planets appear on screen as the voice names them. Mercury is small and red.

The voice says THE FIRST IS MERCURY,
SECOND IS VENUS,
Venus is brownish with stripes.

The voice continues THIRD IS THE EARTH WITH THE
MOON FLYING BETWEEN US.
The Earth is blue and brown, which shows the surface of the oceans and the land. The moon appears between Earth and Mars.

The voice says MARS IS FOURTH,
Mars is red.

The voice says JUPITER'S FIFTH.
Jupiter is enormous and red with off white stripes and a stain shaped like an eye.

The voice says SATURN'S THE SIXTH WITH
RINGS THAT GO SWISH.
Saturn is greyish and has rings around it.

The voice says SEVENTH IS URANUS,
THEN AT THE END,
NEPTUNE IS EIGHTH NEAR
PLUTO THEIR FRIEND.

Uranus and Neptune are blueish and about the same size. Pluto is the smallest and it’s off white.
Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune and Saturn float by.

The voice says FOUR PLANETS HAVE RINGS THAT
MAKE BEAUTIFUL PATTERNS.
THEY'RE JUPITER, URANUS,
NEPTUNE AND SATURN.

Saturn appears spinning in space. Saturn's rings are made of pieces of ice, rock, and dust.
Polkaroo floats inside Saturn's rings and waves.

The voice says SATURN IS FAMOUS FOR
ITS BEAUTIFUL RINGS.
THEY'RE MADE UP OF ICE,
ROCK AND DUSTY THINGS.
IF YOU WATCH THESE
RINGS AS THEY SPIN

The rings appear. Some are wide and some are narrow.

The voice says YOU'LL SEE SOME ARE THICK
AND SOME ARE THIN
IF WE MADE A PATTERN
OUT IN SPACE
COULD YOU COPY IT AND PUT
THE RINGS INTO PLACE?

Polkaroo jumps next to Saturn holding a paintbrush in his hand.
As the voice speaks, Polkaroo touches the rings and they light up.

The voice says THIS PATTERN GOES THIN,
THICK, THICK, THIN
NOW WHAT'S THE ORDER
THEY SHOULD GO IN?

Polkaroo touches the rings once more in order. As he touches them, they light up.

The voice says THIN, THICK, THICK, THIN.
SATURN'S BEAUTIFUL RINGS,
WATCH THEM SPIN.
NOW, POLKAROO, SAY
GOODBYE TO SPACE.

Polkaroo holds Saturn in his hands.

The voice says HELP PUT THE PLANETS
BACK INTO PLACE.

Polkaroo hurls Saturn back into space.

The voice says BYE-BYE, PLANETS.
BYE-BYE POLKAROO.
POLKAROO SAYS
BYE-BYE TO YOU, TOO.

Polkaroo opens his arms and floats in space waving goodbye!
