Fruit Grower

Akeylah meets up with Susan, a passionate fruit grower, in a beautiful apple orchard in the Blue Mountains. Akeylah first learns about the local apples that are grown on the orchard, before Susan shows her how to safely prune a fruit tree to help it grow. Akeylah learns about how to keep sneaky pests away from the trees, then Susan illustrates how to rake up rotten apples to prepare the trees for spring. Finally Akeylah and Susan enjoy the fruits of their labour by harvesting some apples.
