After the internet goes down in the skills space, Akeylah meets with a network cabling specialist named Michael at IBEW 804. Being a network cabling specialist is all about keeping people connected by installing, maintaining, and testing different network cables. Akeylah learns how to strip a cable, ‘terminate’ it, and test it. Michael shows Akeylah different types of cables, like fibre optics, and how to splice them together.
